Binas: I hope I did well with portraying emotions. Let's say I love adding those to all of my stories in some fashion cause to me, emotion gives depth and constructs many new things that may have been left out.
Also those who are a fan of epic/awesome sounding Techno/Alternative Rock music that is not in your native language, then may I recommend the songs on the album "The Subdigitals". The songs are great. I personality love "S'en Aller (Get Away)", "D'lci et Ailleurs (Virtual World)", "Sauver le Monde (Secret Life)", "Planet Net (Planet Net)", "Un Monde Sans Danger (A World Without Danger)", "S'Envoler (Break Away)", and "Technoïde (School is Out)". I put the English version names in parentheses.
I will also admit, I made a Zetsu reference. Can you guys find it?
Review time!
Cyber Orteck: We can agree that DeiDei needs a hug! :3 A child's mind can be very flexible and can be changed for the greater good or greater bad. Now time for some crazy stuff and building on everyone's part.
JaDe In NighT: Yup.
eenayde: No problem. You know, I was worried about Aang when I first saw the episode myself.
ThatGuy brother of OtherGuy: The "hm" is Deidara's verbal tic (it could also just be a nasal grunt, not sure) and same goes with it's other form "un", kinda like how Naruto's is "Dattebayo/Believe it". And it's been described that he tacks it onto at least every other sentence. If you really want to see it happening in canon, go read the manga or watch the anime episodes that have him in it like the Kazekage Rescue Arc, Pursuit of Itachi Arc, and the Shinobi World War Arc. But for Anime only, then it would be the Three Tails Arc (which has the best of him in my opinion because of the Dango Stand Scene; it cracks me up every time).
TheMagicManWithThePlan: Nice to see you here again. Glad you loved it again. And I was a bit hesitant on the banter because I couldn't think of anything and nervous that it would sound stupid. And yes, Hidan and Deidara are the banter kings of the Akatsuki. The whole "Deidara-chan" thing had me cracking up and the whole nine yards of every single banter line they gave. If you could, can you help me with the banter?
I tend to balancing out game fields to give more realistic fights. I do agree could be stronger than that, but I didn't want a power sue running around. And yes, she did have him pegged, but the next time they meet, the tables will be turned, because we all know he had something saved for Itachi before he died the first time...
I like following canon as a baseline to help give structure and a set pattern that I can follow (A bit of an OCD, unfortunetly), but I do plan some deviations later on. But they are a secret... ;)

Deidara observed the waves below. It was getting boring as for they had been sailing for a long time. Ever since the Earth King made his hammy exit with Bosco, things had been slightly getting more and more boring. He got most of his entertainment from Sokka trying and failing in teaching the Earth King survival skills. He had to agree with Sokka though, the part with the Earth King and Bosco stripping was slightly disturbing.
He was also surprised that stealing a Fire Nation ship was so easy. Every crew member was pretty much a sitting duck, or turtle-duck in this case. He had prepared his clay for nothing practically, which ticked him off for quite a bit. He even threw Sokka overboard for making a remark on the situation at the time. Katara gave Deidara a time out of that one. Toph apparently loved the scene that was caused by that remark.
It had now been three weeks since Ba Sing Se's fall. Things still looked bleak for the still lively members of Team Avatar. Deidara had nearly blown their cover five times, literally and figuratively. After the fifth time, Katara confiscated Deidara's clay, angering the latter.
"Can I have my clay back now?! It's been a week, un!", Deidara asked, with his annoyance very visible as he shifted on the ship's railing.
Katara, who adorned a red Fire Nation cape, shot Deidara a look as she looked away from the skies.
"So you can risk our cover again? No.", Katara said sternly.
"Just a small chunk?", Deidara asked trying to sound as innocent as an S-Ranked Criminal could.
'Good grief! I feel so pathetic!', Deidara thought.
Katara frowned and mouthed the word 'no'. Deidara fumed in annoyance as he got up, whipped his high collared Fire Nation cloak at Katara, and stormed off and went under the deck. Katara was not happy with Deidara's recent attitude issue.
Deidara searched the rooms on the ship for any place that Katara could have hidden his clay. He searched Toph's room, Bato's room, Hakoda's room, Sokka's room, The Duke's room, Pipsqueak's room, heck, even Katara's room. No sign of his clay in any of the rooms. He groaned in annoyance as he banged a fist on the steel walls, sending a loud thud through out the corridors. There was one room he hadn't checked yet. It was the one room where almost everyone was banned from entering. Aang's recovery room. They were banned because Sokka and Toph wanted to have a prank ready for when Aang woke up, but Katara caught them. The end result was NOT pretty and that was the same day Deidara decided to drop all plots on messing with Katara.
Deidara gulped as he creeped closer to the hallway that held Aang's recovery room. Katara could be following him right now and could easily bust him. He had to transform a few times into a fallen Fire Nation flag just to throw off The Duke and Pipsqueak. To Deidara's luck, those two were fooled by his disguise every time.
After some detours, transformations, and tip toeing, Deidara finally made it to Aang's room. He sighed in relief and began to open the door. But much to his discomfort, the door got slammed into Deidara's face. He staggered back, holding back an injury induced nose bleed. After coming back to his senses, he saw Aang staggering through the hallways with his staff being used as a crutch.
Deidara wasting no time, rushed into Aang's room and searched it. He eventually found his clay, which almost made him dance around like an idiot, but he managed to hold the urge back. He then hid the clay pouches in his cloak pocket, just so Katara couldn't see it on his waist. He wasn't THAT stupid.
He then raced out of Aang's room, hoping he left no trace of him being there. Just because he had gloves on, didn't mean drool and spit got out of his palm mouths.
Once Deidara got on to the deck, he saw Aang had passed out on the ground. Everyone looked at Deidara, especially Katara. More particularly his nose. Even though Toph couldn't see the blood running down his nose, she did know he had an injury in his nose.
"I got whacked by Aang's door when he woke up, un.", Deidara said as he whipped his nose bleed on his cloak's sleeve.
Later...
Everyone was gathered in a huddle. Aang had woken up once more and was thoroughly confused. Bato covered up Aang with a Fire Nation robe.
"Why are we on a Fire Nation ship? Why is everyone dressed as Fire Nation? And why am I completely out of this?", Aang asked.
Katara reached out and touched Aang's shoulder briefly.
"You need to relax and take it easy, okay? You got hurt really badly at Ba Sing Se.", Katara said and smiled, "I like your hair."
Aang blinked for a few seconds before rubbing his hands all over his scalp.
"I have hair?! How long was I out!?", Aang asked in panic.
Deidara snickered at how panicked Aang looked. Katara glared at Deidara, causing the terrorist bomber to stop giggling.
"A few weeks.", Katara said.
At that moment, Hakoda walked by to check on them.
"Is everything okay?", Hakoda asked.
Katara looked away, obviously annoyed. Deidara didn't know why she was annoyed at her own father, but it didn't matter to him because it did not concern him at all.
"We're fine, dad.", Katara said with bitter annoyance.
Hakoda then turned his attention to Aang. He held out an arm to the young Avatar.
"I'm Hakoda, Katara and Sokka's father.", Hakoda said.
Aang moved to grasp Hakoda's arm but was stopped by Katara. Deidara raised an eyebrow at the Waterbending Master.
"He know who you are, because I just called you 'dad'.", Katara said, "Right?"
Aang removed Katara's hands and once more reached out for Hakoda's arm. He grinned as he grasped it.
"Nice to meet you Chief Hakoda!", Aang said.
"It's an honor to meet you.", Hakoda said.
"Great, now you that you two have meet, can you give us some privacy?", Katara asked.
Hakoda had a slightly sad look, but it was barely noticeable. He nodded slightly.
"Of course.", Hakoda said and walked away.
Aang faced Katara with slight confusion on his face. A month in a coma could do that to you.
"Are you mad at your dad?", Aang asked, causing Katara to blink a bit.
"No. Why would you say that?", Katara said in confusion.
"I don't know.", Aang said with a shrug just to double over in pain.
Katara almost practically flew to his side. She eased Aang up.
"Maybe we should go downstairs. You need a healing session.", Katara said and walked away with him.
Deidara sat in silence for a few moments and eventually heard Katara scream his name. He smirked in victory. She couldn't do anything about the fact he got his clay back and she failed to notice.
"Sucker, hm!", Deidara said as he grinned devilishly.
After Aang finished a brief rest, everyone gathered on the deck. Katara had failed to remove Deidara's clay, but he didn't make the same mistake twice. Deidara evaded all attempts for Katara's, even the threat of Katara using her Waterbending on him. Sokka, The Duke, Pipsqueak, and Toph laughed at the hard time Katara was having keeping the terrorist bomber in line.
Thankfully, Hakoda and Bato settled everyone down. This allowed Sokka to begin the catch up Aang needed.
"After what happened in Ba Sing Se, we knew we had to get you to safety. We flew back to Chameleon Bay where we found my father and the other tribe members.", Sokka said.
"Then King Sokka tried and failed to teach Bosco how to be a real bear. I still wonder how Sokka is not suffering back issues, hm.", Deidara said receiving a glare from Sokka.
"Oh like you had the easy part? You had a bunch of Scorpion Bees after your hair!", Sokka pointed out.
"Shut up, hm!", Deidara said, not wanting to relive that incident.
"Other than the embarrassing stories that can be shared to our grandchildren, the Earth King decided to travel the world in disguise after I failed to teach Bosco. Of course, he had Bosco to accompany him.", Sokka said.
"Not after the disturbing stripping scene we had to endure, hm!", Deidara groaned.
"Will you quit finding ways to tick me off?!", Sokka asked.
"Nope. You are way too easy.", Deidara said.
Sokka groaned and blocked out Deidara's inputs.
"After that point, we learned back in his home, Deidara was considered a terrorist bomber. We weren't so keen on the terrorist part, but we are keeping an eye on him. It does explain some of the reasons why he disturbed peace in a few places.", Sokka said surprising Aang.
"You are a TERRORIST?", Aang asked in surprise.
"I used to just get orders and go blow something up for people with my creations, hm. Besides, you all already know about them.", Deidara said then winced, "My last request didn't go so well... It's what actually got me into this mess, hm."
"Do you have a reason why you became one?", Aang asked.
"Nope.", Deidara said, making Aang blink.
"But what matters is that he decided to stay with us to help. So he isn't entirely bad.", Toph said, "Even though he has tendencies to be louder than Snoozles."
"Can I please finish filling Aang in?!", Sokka exasperated, getting everyone to shut up, "Soon the bay was being overrun by Fire Nation ships. Rather than fighting all of them, we decided to hijack one and make it our disguise. Since then we have been heading west. We crossed the Serpent's Pass a couple of days ago. We have ran into a few Fire Nation ships, but they haven't bothered us."
"So what now?", Aang asked.
"We have been working on a modified version of the Invasion Plan.", Hakoda said.
"It's Sokka's Invasion Plan.", Katara said.
"Yes, Sokka's Plan. We won't be able to mount a massive invasion without the Earth King's armies, but the Solar Eclipse will still weaken the Fire Nation.", Hakoda said.
"So we are planning a smaller invasion. A rag tag team of friends and allies from around the Earth Kingdom. We already ran into the Pipsqueak and The Duke.", Sokka said.
"Nice to see you, Aang.", Pipsqueak said as he munched on noodles with The Duke on his shoulder doing the same.
"And the best part is that the eclipse isn't our biggest advantage! We have a secret!", Sokka said with a large grin.
"You better not say what I think you are going to say, hm.", Deidara said but Sokka ignored him.
"Our secret is you Aang.", Sokka said gleefully, "The whole world thinks your dead!"
Deidara face palmed and grasped his bangs as his right eyebrow twitched. Aang's face became horrified as the words sunk in.
"THE WHOLE WORLD THINKS I AM DEAD?!", Aang shouted, "HOW IS THAT GOOD NEWS!? THAT'S TERRIBLE!"
"Nice going Sokka, hm. I thought you knew what the word 'secret' meant.", Deidara said as he whacked Sokka, making sure the hand he used had it's tongue hanging out.
Sokka squealed like a little girl in disgust as saliva got all over is wolf-tail.
"Since when did you care?", Toph asked.
Deidara shrugged with a lazy/careless look on his face.
"Aang, the reason why this is great is because it means the Fire Nation won't be hunting us down anymore! And they won't even expect you on the Day of Black Sun!", Sokka said.
"No! No! No! No! You have no idea how messed up this is!", Aang protested and saw a Fire Nation ship come into view and opened his glider, "I'll handle this. The Avatar is back!"
Aang doubled over as pain surged through his left shoulder.
"Aang, wait! They don't know we aren't Fire Nation!", Katara said.
Aang began to sweat a bit as he closed his glider.
"Everyone just stay calm, Bato and I will handle this.", Hakoda said as he and Bato put on Fire Nation helmets.
Pipsqueak and The Duke rushed to go cover up Appa as the others hid. Deidara, Sokka, Katara, and Aang hid in a square shaped pit. Aang frowned.
"I hate not being able to do anything.", Aang said.
"Same here, hm.", Deidara said.
"Hopefully, you won't need to.", Toph said.
The members of the other Fire Nation ship boarded Team Avatar's ship. The captain of the other ship looked more annoyed than threatening. The Captain and his guards approached Bato and Hakoda.
"Commander, why the heck are you off course? All Western Fleet ships are suppose to be heading to Ba Sing Se to support the occupation!", The Captain said.
"Actually we are from the Eastern Fleet. We have some orders to deliver some cargo.", Hakoda said.
"Ah. The Eastern Fleet. Well, nice of Admiral Chan to let us know he was sending one of his ships this way.", The Captain said sarcastically.
"I am sure he meant no disrespect, sir.", Bato said.
"I mean, how hard is it to write a note and send a hawk our way?!", The captain asked.
"We will send two hawks next time to make sure you get the message.", Hakoda said.
Hakoda and Bato bowed to the captain and walked off. That's when the captain and one of his guards began whispering. And from the looks of it, Toph heard it all.
"THEY KNOW!", Toph shouted as she jumped out of the pit.
Toph slammed her hands onto the metal floor, sending a wave of Metalbending at the bridge between the two ships. The bridge came off, sending the captain and his guards into the ocean. Katara created a large wave and began to create distance between the ships and allowing Team Avatar's ship to depart as quickly as it could.
The captain and his guards managed to get back on their own ship, and their ship began to race after Team Avatar's.
"Load the Toph!", Toph shouted.
Deidara raised an eyebrow as he and Pipsqueak put some boulders in place for Toph. The Duke stood right next to Toph to guide her. Toph used Earthbending and launched the boulders with The Duke's assistance. Toph began firing the boulders at the ship with The Duke's accuracy.
Katara ran to the edge of the ship and created a freezing mist along the wall of the ship. Something must have damaged the ship's haul.
"I'm gonna give us some cover!", Katara said and made a heavy fog with her Waterbending.
The fog Katara made, however, didn't stop the fireballs that the enemy ship was now firing at them. The fireballs destroyed Toph's ammo.
"I can't stand back and do nothing!", Aang said and began to march forward out of his hiding spot with his staff.
"Aang, no!", Sokka said and grabbed Aang's staff, "You are still hurt and you need to stay a secret! Let us handle this."
Aang frowned as he walked away, back into his hiding spot.
Before anyone could stop him, Deidara quickly made a bird and got on it. He smirked as he began to make something he had been wanting to test.
"Looks like you have been given the honor of being the first witnesses of my latest piece of art, hm.", Deidara said and dropped a small figurine.
The figurine began to grow in size as it hurdled for the ship's deck. As Deidara's eyes glinted with rising pleasure, but at the last moment the pleasure was crushed. The figurine turned statue hit the deck with enough momentum to make a large stain on the deck. Deidara's jaw dropped in shock at the fail as the witnesses on the enemy ship laughed at his failure.
'That was NOT suppose to happen!', Deidara thought.
Deidara fumed at the laughter. His right eye twitched in anger as his face turned red with anger. He quickly threw a bunch of land mines onto the ship's deck. The ship's members began dodging the land mines and even tried removing them. However, Deidara didn't let them remove them at all. He blew up every land mine that the ship members touched, causing humongous holes in the floor and a few casualties.
At that moment, the Firebenders on the enemy ship began blasting at Deidara. Deidara dodged all of the fire blasts on his bird. It was hard to do, but with all of the dodging practice he had been getting lately made dodging the fireballs slightly easier to dodge.
Deidara then decided to risk his latest creation again. He knew he already embarrassed himself once with it, but he was not going to let it happen a second time. He repeated the process, but from how much anger he had gained from the mocking made him accidentally pump more of his Explosive Chakra into the palm mouth that was molding the figurine.
Once the figurine was done, he dropped it. The he realized he put in more Chakra than he intended to and began become slightly nervous on the inside. However, the result relieved him. The result was that the entire enemy ship was blown to bits of giant metal splinters. The ship's crew members bobbed int he water. It was hard to tell if they were dead or not.
"Oh... So that's what it needed, hm.", Deidara said blinking in surprise.
A serpent then emerged from the water and ate the floating bodies in one gulp. The serpent then belched as it went back under the water with a satisfied look on it's face. Deidara was a bit disturbed by this, but could not help but silently remark how it was a good 'body disposer'. With the slightly disturbed look still plastered to his face, he flew his bird back to Team Avatar's ship. He got off the bird and everyone saw his disturbed look.
"You don't want to know...", Deidara said.
After the ship docked at a harbor, everyone was expressing their hunger. Majority of the people on the ship left to go find food. However, Aang was not among them. He was in his room from what Deidara knew. He waited on the deck as Toph, Sokka, and Katara went to go drag Aang out of his room.
A few minutes passed and Toph and Sokka came out onto the deck.
"Where's Aang, hm?", Deidara asked.
"Katara told us we could go on without them.", Toph said, "And about time too."
So Sokka, Toph, and Deidara left the ship and went into the town. Sokka looked around as if he were expecting something to happen. Toph made a curious look.
"What's with you Sokka?", Toph asked.
"Oh nothing...", Sokka shrugged off.
"I know you're lying.", Toph said.
"Okay, it's just that me, Katara, and Aang have been in this village before and got into trouble with some pirates.", Sokka said.
"What did you do to tick off a bunch of pirates?", Deidara asked.
"Katara ticked them off by stealing the same Waterbending Scroll she gave to the giant spirit owl.", Sokka said, "But she insisted on calling it 'High risk trading'."
"Sugar Queen stole something that was already stolen? Sweetness...", Toph said grinning, "I didn't know she had an inner bad girl. I thought she was all little miss goodie two shoes."
The rest of the walk through the market area of the village was uneventful. Though Deidara did get a few strange looks, mainly towards his hair. He was glad no one took the time and put up wanted posters of himself. That meant he was still largely unknown of. That would change in time. How soon? Not even Deidara knew the answer to that question himself, and he was the one thinking about it.
After purchasing their food and everything and meeting up with Katara, they headed back to the ship with what they bought. They then began to make themselves a quick dinner, or in Toph's case, have them make her dinner. Toph had fun making Deidara make her something. That was until Deidara got sneaky and made the food taste gross. Toph punched him for that after spitting the food out.
"I swear, you two act more like siblings than friends.", Sokka said snickering at the antics.
"Are you just saying that so you don't feel like the only sibling here, hm?", Deidara asked, not amused being considered Toph's brother by Sokka.
"Oh I can just see the resemblance! It's so uncanny!", Toph snarked with a sarcastic smile.
"Really?!", Sokka asked hopefully then slouched in realization, "Again? Why must you always rub it in?"
Deidara laughed at how pitiful Sokka looked after realizing he got burned. Toph also laughed at the fact she burned the young Water Tribe Warrior with the fact she was blind. Katara couldn't help but stifle a few snickers herself, which made Sokka even more embarrassed.
"I can't believe after this whole time you forgot she was blind!", Deidara said, "Did you hit yourself in the head with your boomerang again, hm?"
"It's kinda hard to remember actually.", Sokka said then boiled a bit, "HEY! THAT WAS ONLY A ONE TIME ACCIDENT! WHO TOLD YOU I HIT MYSELF WITH MY BOOMERANG ANYWAYS?!"
"Deidara, Toph, you two can stop teasing Sokka now.", Katara said, "I think he gets the point."
Katara finished making Aang's meal and left to go bring it to him. Sokka gave a small mischievous smirked and nudged his bowl of mixed rice to Deidara.
"Hey, I am not that hungry tonight, so do you mind finishing my dinner for me?", Sokka said.
Deidara glared at the rice then at Sokka. He gave an irritated groan.
"Go screw yourself! There is no way I am eating that trash!", Deidara said.
Sokka frowned.
"Why not?", Sokka as he pushed the rice closer, "I bet it will be super yummy!"
"For one, I hate mixed rice! And second of all, I am not desperate enough to eat something with a giant mutant bug in it!", Deidara said eyeing the giant mutated bug that was poorly covered due to the fact it was still alive, "Just disgusting..."
Sokka's plan for pay back failed. He groaned in annoyance as he took back his mixed rice, removed the mutated bug, and shoved a chopstick load of rice and meat into his mouth.
As Deidara finished the last few bites of his Bakudan, Katara burst in. She had a distressed look on her face.
"Aang ran away!", Katara said.
That got everyone's attention. Everyone quickly packed up their stuff and ran to Appa. In Toph and Deidara's case, the clay bird. They took to the skies and began to scour the air above the vast ocean. Eventually they hit a blockade.
"I got this, hm!", Deidara said, eager to blast the Fire Nation Blockade out of the water.
Sokka nudged Appa into Deidara's clay bird, causing the bird to nearly fall out of the sky.
"Hey watch it!", Deidara snapped.
"We don't need the Fire Nation to have another reason to have our heads! I say we head higher up and use the clouds as a cover.", Sokka said.
"You didn't have a problem with me bombing that ship earlier, hm!", Deidara shouted.
"That's because you took off before we could tell you not to! Besides, you are just lucky that serpent was there to make it look like it was it's fault!", Sokka pointed out.
Deidara groaned as they flew up higher. They were nearly discovered by the blockade a few times. The reason was that Deidara decided to be sneaky and have his clay bird 'take a dump' on a few ships. That got plenty of glares from Sokka and Katara. Toph however just didn't care, she was just amused by the tensions.
The next morning...
Deidara and Sokka had finally spotted Aang. He was washed up on the beach of a volcanic crescent shaped island but obviously okay. They landed on the beach and rushed to Aang. Katara took it a step further and hugged him.
"You're okay!", Katara said.
"I have a lot of work too do.", Aang said.
"I know, and you will have our help.", Katara said.
"You didn't think you could get out of training by running away to the Fire Nation, did you?", Toph asked.
"That was a cruel trick you know, hm.", Deidara said, "Next time, think it through a little more then maybe I will fall for it."
Katara scowled at Deidara.
"What about the invasion?", Aang asked.
"We will meet up with my dad and the others on the day of the invasion.", Sokka said.
Toph felt something nudge against her. At first she thought it was a piece of bark but it turned out to be something else.
"Hey! What's this? Oh... It's your glider...", Toph said picking up Aang's glider and handing it to Aang.
Aang took the glider and held it sadly.
"It's alright. if someone saw this, they would recognize me right away. I think it's best if no one knows I am alive.", Aang said.
Aang leaped among the rocks to a small lava flow. He spun his glider a few times and planted it into the lave flow. He leaped away from his glider as it caught on fire.
