Bella's Pov

I couldn't fall back asleep I just couldn't.

Edward just kept driving we were heading to forks but since someone will probably report this care stolen which it is we'll have to pick up other cars on the way to Forks.

I felt Ej stir in my arms, he opened his eyes and I looked down so he could see he was okay in my arms, he moved so he was sitting on my lap now he looked around the car and saw Edward.

"Finally awake buddy" Edward teased his son, Ej looked confused, "mommy where are we going?" he asked looking at me. I sighed I pulled the blanket closer to him and kissed his forehead then rested my cheek against it.

"We're going on a little vacation" I soothed to him, he nodded he rested his back to my chest, I looked at Edward he looked alerted.

"Mommy im hungry" Ej said after a few more miles, I looked at Edward waiting for his responds, he drove until we hit a diner.

"Come on buddy let's get you fed" Edward said as soon as he ran to my side of the car and opened the door, we walked inside and it was kinda empty except for an elderly couple by the booths.

We sat by a window with me on one end and Ej and Edward on the other they looked so much alike it's scary sometimes.

A waitress around mid-20s came "what can I get you?" she asked directly to Edward, "we'll all have the breakfast special" he ordered then gave his attention to EJ.

"Where are we going?" EJ asked us both, I gulped I had never told EJ about any family or even mentioned anyone, "we're going to see my brother, your Uncle Emmett" Edward smiled as he remembered his older childish brother.

"I have an uncle?" he asked in his baby voice, Edward looked at me for an explanation, "im trying to forget the past and start fresh" I told him.

"That doesn't mean you have to hide who his family" Edward growled at me quietly for only me to hear, "I did if I wanted to protect him" I said looking him dead in the eye.

We kept looking at each other with angry expressions until the waitress came with our food, I ate in silence as Ej asked Edward just about everything to know about his father.

"check please" Edward asked the waitress, she winked at him but he didn't seem to notice it, "still have the charm" I muttered, "what was that?" he asked looking over at me away from Ej, "nothing" I answered blushing.

He laughed, "No your blushing that means something" he pointed out my habit that I hated but he loved.

"Why do you want Emmett's help?" I asked him changing the subject.

Edward went even more pale then he already was, "it has something to do with why I murdered your parents" Edward responded honestly.

I just stared at him in complete shock…it was the scream that brought me back to reality; on TV there was the news with Edward's face on it…and mine.

Edward quickly stood up and pulled out his gun and aimed it at the waitress who was holding a phone in her hand, "daddy what are you doing?" EJ voice made Edward rethink about shooting these people, I moved myself and grabbed Ej into my arms.

"Bella grab Ej and run" was Edward's last command, I did what I was told, not thinking twice about it, I went to the car grabbed Ej's baby bag and quickly left towards the empty highway, even though I walked far I didn't walk far enough to hear the shooting from the dinner.
