Chapter 10

Rivers eyes snapped open as she was thrown from her chair. Surprised to see much of the room toppled over, she could only assume the worst. Standing up she made her way to the door, quickly grasping the door frame as the Tardis jolted to the side. "What has that man done now?" she mumbled, slowly making her way out of the room as the smell of smoldering plastic filled the hallway. The putrid sent becoming stronger as she neared the control room. "Doctor…Everything alright?"

"No no no noo! Why are you doing this?"

Entering the large room, her eyes were met with the sight of the Doctor angrily wielding a fire extinguisher. "Why won't you work?!" he shouted, throwing himself to the floor as the console erupted into sparks.

"Doctor? What's she doing?" River questioned as she sped down the steps, and to her husband's side.

Taking River's hand, the Doctor stood, tossing the extinguisher to the side as he huffed. "She's figured out where we are going. We are about to cross my timeline in the biggest way possible, and she is completely against it, so she's shut herself down."

"There must be something we can do Doctor. We can't just leave our son!"

Glaring at the console the Doctor agreed. "I know. We can't land...But we can fall!" Turning on his heel, the Doctor pointed his sonic screwdriver to the main frame. "She's turned off practically everything but the anti-gravs…better find something to hold onto, cause guess what I'm turning off."

"DOC-"

"GERONIMO!"
