Chibi's Checkup
Chapter three: Pesent day
I was kind of stuck on this one for awhile. Hope you like it! I don't own Bleach! I can dream though...

Hitsugaya Toshiro was on his way to the first division meeting hall. He had never been summoned for a private meeting with the head captain.
'Am I in trouble? I haven't done anything wrong as far as I know. All the paperwork was turned in on time. What could it be for?' He pondered as he walked to the first division. When Toshiro arrived, he knocked on the door.
"Enter." Said a gruff voice. Toshiro cautiously entered. The head captain was sitting at his usual meeting spot in his chair. Toshiro stood at attention in front of the head captain.
"You wished to speak with me, Sou-taicho?" He asked.
"Yes. There have been a few concerns about your health..." began Yamamoto.
"Health? I'm perfectly fine though." Hitsugaya replied as he raised one of his eyebrows.
"Your birthday is in a few days, is it not?"
Toshiro stiffened. Health? Birthday? He knew where the conversation was going. "Yes..."
"Have you visited the fourth division yet?" Yamamoto continued.
Toshiro began to slowly walk backwards, disregarding the fact that it was disrespectful. "No..."
"You must go to the fourth division for a— Where did he go?" Yamamoto asked. As soon as Hitsugaya disappeared, a figure stepped out of the shadows, giving the old general a gentle smile.
"I told you it would be hard to convince him."
"Do you wish for me to send people to capture him, Unohana?" Yamamoto asked.
"No. At least not at this moment. I wish to analyze his movements and strategy. It may help in the future." The healer replied.
"Very well. Don't take too long to capture him. We cannot afford to loose any more captains." Yamamoto said as he began to drink some tea.

Toshiro had flash stepped as fast and far as he could away from the first division. He landed outside the third division.
'Damn it! I thought they gave up on this thing. I bet Matsumoto is in on it too. Thay means I can't go back to the tenth. Rrrrrr! Soon everyone here will be after me! What can I do? Where can I hide?' Toshiro thought to himself. Suddenly, he got an idea.
He unsheathed Hyorinmaru, stabbed the air in front of him, and turned his sword as if it were a key. A mini senkaimon opened and he sheathed his sword. Toshiro took one more quick glance around before he ran throught the senkaimon.
'Thank kami no one saw me.' Hitsugaya thought in relief as the senkaimon closed behind him. Little did he know, someone had seen him.

Toshiro sighed in relief as he stepped out of the senkaimon. Hopefully he'd be safe here. Toshiro took a look at his surroundings and saw that he was near Kurakura's High School. If Kuchki saw him... Toshiro quickly turned around to walk the other way but bumped into something and fell.
"Toshiro? What are you doing here?" a male asked. Toshiro looked up to see a hand being offered to him and orange hair. He took the hand and was easily pulled to his feet.
"It's Hitsugaya taicho to you, Kurosaki." Hitsugaya replied as he dusted himself off.
"Yeah, sure. So what are you doing here?" Ichigo asked again.
"It is none of your concern, Kurosaki. It's a Soul Society matter. We do not need you at this time." Toshiro replied as he discreetly looked around for Ichigo's black haired companion.
"You need Rukia then? I'll just call her and she should—" Ichigo said as he took out his phone and started to type in Rukia's number.
"That will not be necessary," interrupted Hitsugaya. "Kuchki is not needed for this."
"I thought it was—"
"She is to stay in Kurakura and take care of the minor hollows with you. Do you understand, Kurosaki?" Toshiro continued.
"I think so..." Ichigo said as he scratched his head with a frown on his face.
"Good. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to." Toshiro said as he shunpoed away. Ichigo just gave a confused expression to the young captain as he went off. Ichigo shrugged, rubbing it off, and went to find Rukia.

Toshiro was sitting in a tree at a nearby park.
'I can't believe Kurosaki fell for that.' Toshiro thought to himself as he shook his head in disbelief.
'Who's to say he did, master.' Hyorinmaru replied. Toshiro just sighed and looked up at what sky he could see from where he sat. It was a nice day out. A little warm for his taste, but nice. Toshiro stretched a little before he settled in the tree for a quick nap.

In the Soul Society in a certain meeting room...
"How long do you predict this will last?" Yamamoto asked.
"No more than a few days. If this takes over five though, we will be forced to take certain measures." Unohana replied as she calmly sipped her tea.
"I see." Yamamoto said as he also sipped his tea.
"What is Hitsugaya-san's reason for avoiding his yearly check-up?" the old man asked after a few minutes of silence.
"Hmm... As far as I know, he dislikes needles and physical contact."
"Needles?"
"Hai. Plus physical contact." said Unohana. Yamamoto sighed in response. "Although Hitsugaya is mature, we must still consider that he IS still in fact a child. Since he is at this level of maturity, childish impulses are bound to leap up every once and awhile. I believe he holds the impulses back all the time, and puts on a mature and cold attitude. Hitsugaya is still somewhat a child at heart." Unohana continued.
"He is a captain of the Gotei Thirteen." Yamamoto rebutled.
"That is why Hitsugay holds the impulses back. He is fully aware as a captain, he must take on multiple resposibilities. Hitsugaya knew people wouldn't respect him since he is still growing, so as to prove them wrong, he acts mature, he takes his responsibilties head on, and he trains to improve even though he is a captain. The people respect him for that. The tenth division understood there may be a few problems with having a taicho so young, but since he 'grew up' in the tenth division, they understand how to handle him and how hard he works." Unohana said.
"I know, I know. I am very proud of all of Hitsugaya's accomplishments. I cannot help but wonder if I made the right choice though."
"To be honest, Sou-taicho, Hitsugaya was not ready become a captain. He was qualified, but not yet ready. What is done is done though. You shouldn't change your decision. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to monitor Hitsugaya-kun's movements and send out a few people to follow him." Unohana said as she slowly stood, bowed to the Sou-taicho, and left.
The Sou-taicho looked up to the sky and sighed. "Maybe I shouldn't have spoken to him about a check-up." He mumbled to himself.

Ho ho! What is this? Two updates to two different stories in one day!? Yes, yes it is. I've been sick and had some time to finish some chapters, so... This is not as long as I would like it to be, but I decided to cut it off here. I am so very thankful to those who have stuck with me andmy horrible updating habits. Arigoto minna!
