Hi all!

Thanks for all the reviews and followers so far! This next chapter is just the preparation for the big date.

So, here you go! :)

Sakura's P.O.V

"Wow…" a slow gasp left our mouths as we walked through the front doors of the prestigious boutique and salon.

"Welcome ladies to Amelia's World of Fashion. How can I help you?" The lovely lady sitting at the front desk asked. I was lost for words.

"H-Hi. I'm just here to get something for tonight. I'm going to the 'Queen's Palace' for dinner and I don't really have anything to wear," I said hesitantly. I was excited yet nervous and uncomfortable at the same time.

"Well my dear, you've come to the right place. We'll help you pick something for your special outing tonight," she responded cheerfully. "Please, follow me." We followed her out the back only to be met with more smiling women.

"This wonderful team of ladies will tend to you and help you with anything you need," she continued.

"Thanks," I responded. There were racks of dresses everywhere and a row of changing rooms and mirrors.

"Shall we get started, miss?" One of the ladies approached me and asked.

"Umm…sure."

20 minutes later

I've tried on heaps of dresses and none seem to fit right. Ino was helping by looking for dresses and shoving them in my face. She may be doing a diploma for hairdressing and beauty, but she needs to work on her designer skills. The other girls were the judges.

"Ino, nothing looks any good," I said. I scanned my eyes quickly around the room when suddenly, something caught my eye.

"Hold on, what's that?" I ask pointing the edge of a dress poking out from the rest. The lady took it off the rack.

"This dress is unique because this is the only one."

"Can I try it on?" I ask the woman.

"Certainly."

I crawled back into the fitting room with it and wriggled my way into the dress. It fit perfectly. It was a strapless, deep mermaid green floor length dress with a ribbon around the waist that tied into a bow at the back. The material wasn't tight fitting so it flowed with my body. It was just a simple dress. I walked out of the room and received a symphony of gasps. I turned around and looked in the mirror. I looked completely different from my usual tom boy look. I actually looked like a proper girl for once.

"Oh my god, Sakura! You look gorgeous!" Ino exclaimed. The lady found me a pair of heels with the same colour fabric.

I stood at the counter and paid for my dress. There's still a lot of cash left. I hope Sasuke didn't expect me to spend all of it.

"Thanks ladies! Have a good time tonight," the lady at the counter said as she handed me the bag with the dress and shoes. I thanked her and quickly walked out of the shop.

"I'm never doing that again," I told the girls when we gathered outside. They started laughing before I added, "And Ino, if I were you, I'd stick to hairdressing and beauty. I don't quite think fashion designing is your thing."

"Hey, that's a bit harsh, Sakura. I was helping you out in there. You would've been lost without me," Ino protested.

"Ino, do you not remember that bright yellow dress you forced me to try on? The one with the puffy shoulders?" The other girls were trying so hard not to laugh.

"Hey! I thought it looked cute!" I exchanged a quick glance with the other three and there was an instantaneous outburst of laughter.

"And that's exactly why you shouldn't be a fashion designer," I managed through laughing. "Tell you what, Ino, you can do my hair and makeup for tonight, sound good?" Ino's eyes immediately lit up.

After that, the girls and I went out for lunch and spent the rest of the day at my house.

6:00pm

"Hurry up! He'll be here in an hour!" Ino yelled at me from outside my bathroom. I sighed. Great. I let the warm water run over me for another minute before I slowly climbed out the shower. I wrapped myself up in my dressing gown and breathed, preparing myself for the torture I was about to be put through by my best friend.

For the next 45 minutes, I sat in my office chair while I was attacked with hair curlers and makeup.

"I'm done!" Ino exclaimed. I was about to turn to look in the mirror before she stopped me.

"Nah-uh, not yet Sakura. We gotta get you in your dress first." I unzipped the back and stepped into it. I pulled it up over my body and Temari zipped it back up for me while Tenten handed me my shoes.

"Alright, now you can look," Ino said with the hugest smile. I prepared myself for the worst, but when I saw myself, I gasped…in amazement.

"Oh my god…" my voice trailed off. "Ino, how did you do this?"

"Hey, I don't go to beauty school for nothing," she responded, extremely proud of herself, and so she should be. I was stunning. My hair was curled and one side was pulled back by a silver butterfly clip. My makeup wasn't over the top at all; it was just basic foundation, eye liner, a tinge of eye shadow and lightly applied pale pink lipstick.

"You look gorgeous! I don't think he'll ever be able to keep his eyes off you," Tenten said.

"Maybe, something might happen tonight," Temari added smirking.

"No, nothing will. This isn't a proper date. I'm just repaying a favor," I said, defending myself and quickly shutting down their thoughts. Yeah, that's all it is, isn't? Just repaying a favor. I don't even really understand why I'm doing this. He offered to take me home, it's not liked I begged him to. Anyway, nothing is going to happen at all. I checked the time: 6:50pm.

"Shit, he'll be here soon," I said to the girls. The girls began quickly grabbing their things and started heading out the door.

"Good luck!" they all said in unison. Just as they were leaving, Ino looked at me, smirked and raised her eyebrows. I swear, that girl is too cheeky for her own safety, I thought to myself, laughing a bit.

10 minutes later, the doorbell rang. I grabbed my small handbag, a light bolero jacket, my phone, my money and the rest of Sasuke's cash and opened the door.
