Sasuke's P.O.V

Wow…she looks absolutely gorgeous, just like a princess. I couldn't help but stare at her as she stood at her door.

"Hello?" she said, snapping me out of my day dream.

"Hey, ready to go?" I asked motioning towards the car.

"Yeah, let's go." Sakura started making her way towards the car. Suddenly, she stumbled walking on her pebbled driveway. Instantly, I was beside her with one hand clutching her arm gently and my other around her waist, steadying her. I guess she doesn't have much experience with heels.

Sakura's P.O.V

Shit…how embarrassing. Stupid heals; I wish I hadn't worn them now. I noticed he had one hand on my waist and the other on my arm. I quickly moved away from him and kept walking towards the car.

"Let's just hurry up and get going," I said, partly annoyed and embarrassed. I want to get this over and done with.

Sasuke's P.O.V

This'll be fun, I thought to myself. I followed her to the car and jumped in. Once we were both in, I asked her in a concerned tone,

"You're ok, aren't you?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Let's just go."

Sakura's P.O.V

"Wow," I quietly exclaimed when I walked through the doors of 'The Queen's Palace.' It's a dream come true.

"Good evening, master Sasuke," a waiter said to Sasuke as he walked past us in the foyer. I looked questioningly at Sasuke and he just nodded at the guy.

"Master Sasuke?" I asked Sasuke.

"Hm? Oh, my parents own this place so all the staff call my family and I 'master,'" he responded. "I don't really like it but they do it because they've been commanded to."

"Your family owns this place?" I said, taken aback. So now he tells me his parents own the best restaurant in town?

"Yeah, pretty cool, eh? That's how I got us in tonight," he replied with a smirk, walking towards the dining hall. I seriously hope his parents aren't here tonight. I don't want anyone assuming that I'm his girlfriend. I caught up to Sasuke.

"Hey, your parents aren't here tonight, are they?" I asked nervously, fidgeting with my bag. He looked at me questioningly.

"No, why? What's wrong?" he asked, confused by my behavior.

"No, nothing's wrong at all. Just asking a simple question," I lied. He just looked at me weirdly before guiding me into the dining area and saying,

"Come on, let's get our table."

Sasuke's P.O.V

We were shown to our table and given our menus. I hope she's not too uncomfortable about the idea that my parents own this place. I should've told her earlier. Oh Sakura, beautiful Sakura, there are so many things I wish to tell you. Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine. What was that?

Sakura's P.O.V

Oooo, this chair is really comfortable.

"Any drinks to start with?" the waiter asked us.

"Just the bottle of the best wine we have," Sasuke said.

"Certainly." The waiter left and it was just Sasuke and I.

"Having fun?" Sasuke asked me. I laughed.

"We've just sat down and you're asking me if I'm having fun?"

"Yeah, why not?" he said with a confused look on his face. We both laughed a bit before our wine arrived. The waiter poured us glasses then left again.

"You're one mysterious person, Sakura Haruno. I can practically 'read' everyone, except for you," he said, staring me directly in the eyes, attempting to exploit my secrets. His elbows were on the table, his chin resting on intertwined fingers.

"Well," I started, "how about we start with actually getting to know each. That might help your problem." I grabbed my glass and took a sip of wine.

"Alright then," Sasuke began, "have you got any brothers or sisters?"

"Nope, just me," I replied, shaking my head. "You?"

"Yeah, I have one older brother. Itachi."

"Do you get along?"

"Yeah, really well. We have our arguments like all brothers do, but apart from that, we're as good as gold."

"That's good," I said.

As the night progressed, we had dinner and talked some more; we shared stories from our child hood, talked about ourselves and parents.

"No, unfortunately. My parents died in a house fire when I was 12. I was at a friend's house when the police showed up at my friend's door and told me the bad news. I then lived with my aunt, but I didn't want to leech off her so I learned to fend for myself and when I was old enough, I brought that little place I'm living in now," I explained to Sasuke. He looked at me sympathetically. "But it's been fine because when you live by yourself, you learn responsibility. Besides, I've always had the girls so I've never really been alone. We hang out all the time and we're all really close so we trust each other with everything. What about you, Sasuke? Do you have any other friends that are like that? Or is it just Naruto and the others?" Suddenly, I noticed a change in Sasuke's behavior. He was looking around cautiously, his eyes darting all around the place. I could feel a tense aura start to surround him. "Sasuke?" I asked.

"Hm? Oh right, yes. Where were we? Friends, that's right. Yes, I have plenty…" his voice trailed off and his body became alert and he was looking straight past me. I rolled my eyes. I was about to ask him if he was bored, when he leaned across the table and spoke to me in a hushed voice.

"Sakura, do you trust me?" His voice was laced with urgency and seriousness. What was going on?

"I…guess so?" Suddenly, I became anxious. I never really thought about it. Do I trust him? I mean, I wouldn't just go on a date with somebody I don't know very well. But here I am. I never thought twice about it.

"Good. B-" I cut him off.

"Sasuke, I don't know what the hell is going on but you need to tell me right now. I don't even know why I jumped in your car in the first place; you're pretty much a complete stranger, I barely know you. So you better tell me right now." I was starting to get slightly annoyed, yet a tiny bit worried. Sasuke almost looked a bit hurt at my words. He exhaled deeply.

"Sakura, you know how you were talking about friends just now? And how you were asking me if I had any friends that I could trust with everything?" I nodded. "Well, you have those friends and then you have just normal friends, right? Then you also have 'ex-friends' in a way." I nodded once again, slowly though because I wasn't getting his point. Sasuke continued, "well, some of those ex-friends are not too friendly and are after me. And they're here. That's why I need to know," he grabbed my hand but I was too fixated on listening to him that I didn't even bother to pull away, "Sakura, do you trust me? Because if you don't, things could get real hectic and I need your full co-operation." His tone was serious now and I was beginning to get scared.

"Sasuke, you're starting to scare me. What's going on?" I said, my voice trembling. Sasuke looked at me; his eyes were full of worry.

"I don't have time to explain, Sakura. I will when I get you safely out of h-," Just as Sasuke was finishing his sentence, he was interrupted as the wall length windows looking out to a beautiful garden were shattered to a thousand pieces and two men came sauntering in like nothing happened. Before I could comprehend what was going on, Sasuke had me by the hand and was dragging me out of the restaurant at lightning speed. I could hear the two men who were the cause (I assumed) of the interruption yelling in the dining room. We made it to the front doors when two more people, a man and a woman, blocked our way.
"Where do you think you're going, Sasuke?" asked the woman. Sasuke smirked.

"Long time no see, Naomi," Sasuke addressed the blonde woman. "And you too, Kenji," he said to the man. "Nice to know you two have joined the dark side. I've always hated your guts and I finally get the chance to kick both your assess at the same time. It's like Christmas day," Sasuke finished.

"Don't try and be smart with us, Sasuke. Your royal ass will be the one getting kicked," Naomi shot back. My mind was racing at a thousand miles per hour. What the hell is happening? Who are these people? What do they want with Sasuke? I zoned out, my mind had hit overdrive.

"What do you want anyway?"

"We want to kill you. And while we're at it, we'll kill your little slut too so you can both see each other in the afterlife. Oh wait, I forgot, you won't have an afterlife Sasuke. Enjoy hell." Sasuke glared at the two people murderously. I snapped out of my trance like state when I heard the word's 'your little slut.' I was royally pissed off now. That bitch called me a slut! Sasuke was about to step in when I spoke up first.

"Alright blondie, let's get a few things straight," I said to Naomi. "One, I'm not a slut. Two, I'm not Sasuke's. And three, who the hell do you think you are? So far, I don't like you one bit and you're sure as hell not welcome here. If you don't mind, the exit's just behind you so please, fuck off." Naomi was fuming at that point, but I stood my ground even though I was uncontrollably trembling on the inside. She wouldn't really kill me, would she? I looked at Sasuke who had a mixture of emotions written over his face: pure anger, utter amazement and a few other things in between. I looked back at Naomi in time to see she had moved and the next thing I knew, she was right in front of my face. How did she move that fast? Just who was she?

"You know what, I may have spared you but I don't like it when people inferior speak to me like that," Naomi finished with a smile.

"That makes two of us, honey," I replied, returning the smile. She swiftly pulled a small dagger from her pocket. My eyes widened and a pain ripped through my body. My vision went black and my mind became still. The last thing I remember seeing is flames emanating from Sasuke. I looked at him and the situation around us in a daze, not taking in anything but rather letting it pass right over my head. The flames swirled around the room, as if they were being controlled. There were screams and incessant yelling, then silence. Just before I completely lost consciousness, I heard a voice whisper in my ear, "sorry, Sakura."

It didn't quite go to plan but we'll see what happens next!
