"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, Distinguished Guests, Mrs. Feyersied, Families and Friends of Troop 46231." Isabella couldn't help but laugh. This wasn't exactly the way she planned her evening to go, or rather, morning to go.

Phineas sat in his chair, looking intently at Isabella while she began to rehearse for the evenings ceremony. Isabella, still being the unofficial leader of the troop, was the one who was going to give the remarks in the ceremony. So, who better to ask then the king of Public Speaking?

"Isabella, you're doing wonderful, but may I suggest that you change the color of the powerpoint slides to be a bit lighter and the font color a bit darker? I can see it perfectly but I fear that in the hall you'll have trouble with people in the back not being able to read things", Phineas said with a smile.

"Okay, that's a good idea" Isabella said turning around to adjust the problems. "Only Phineas would comment on this" Isabella thought. If there was one thing Isabella knew besides the Fireside Girl Handbook, it was the inner working of Phineas Flynns mind.

"Yes, that's perfect!" Phineas sat back in his chair. "Okay, Continue"

Isabella went through a whole speech about what it took to stay with the fireside girl program for all of this time, and what was required to continue moving up the levels. Phineas was listening, smiling with pride for most of the opening part.

Then, the chosen badges slides came up. For this part, each girl selected a badge that meant something to them and would tell the story of how that badge had influenced them in some way. Isabella just flipped through them, figuring that she didn't want to show all of it to Phineas, these were the girls stories to tell, not hers.

"Isabella, oh my gosh. I remember when you girls got that patch!" Phineas said, asking her to stop to look at Gretchen's slide. It was the Exploration Patch, which Gretchen, Katie and Milly earned together. That was the day the boys helped the girls become Bee's so they could all get their Beekeeper patches.

"You were a killer bee, if I say so myself" Phineas chuckled at his own joke.

Eventually Isabella got to her story, and after taking a deep breath she flipped to the slide.

"The patch that I have selected was one that brings me back to the best days of my young adult life. The Help Thy Neighbor Patch."

Suddenly, Phineas's eyes got even bigger.

"I know that the patch isn't specific to helping just your neighbors, but at my young age I thought you had to. So this is what lead me to spend my summers helping my neighbors Phineas and , we had been friends since we were younger, but I tried to go over there and help out as much as possible, which meant most of my summer days were spent in their backyard."

"Those summer days were spent doing the impossible, dreaming bigger than the world could handle, and having a lot of fun. I cannot remember a time with them that I wasn't surprised. Everday was an adventure, and frankly it still is."

"I have earned this patch, technically, maybe a thousand times. But the truth is that I think my neighbors helped me more than I helped them. What the Flynn Fletcher family taught me was what it meant to be a friend, to be creative, to love your place on this earth, and to make the most of a summers day."

Phineas couldn't help but smile, interrupting her saying "Carpe Diem".

"I have made it this far into the Fireside Girl program because of my Danville community I have seen more of the world and more of myself because of what was merely steps from my front door."

Isabella smiled, "And with that, I am so honored to say congratulations to troop 46231. We did it girls."

With that, Phineas sat up straighter in his chair.

"That, that was amazing 're such a good public speaker, seriously I'm impressed."

"Thank you for listening. I am glad I didn't have to just wing it tonight, especially cause Drew will be there and all and I dont want to screw it up"

"You get nervous in front of Drew?" Phineas asked, hoping the jealousy in his voice wasn't too obvious.

"Well, yeah I guess. I mean, he's my boyfriend and I don't wanna look like an idiot in front of him."

"Is that how that works? Aren't you supposed to date someone you're comfortable being around?" Phineas felt rude asking these questions but couldn't himself.

"I guess, I am not so sure myself. I'm new at the whole boyfriend thing." Isabella said , sighing. It was 3 am- not a good time to be rethinking her life choices.

"Isabella, I think I have overstayed my welcome. Thank you so much for having me over. This was fun." Phineas said, getting up to leave.

"Phin, wait"

And hearing her call him Phin was music to his ear. Instantly he sat back down, looking up at Isabella.

"I am sorry that I was very secretive about dating Drew. I am sorry that our friendship was pushed aside. But you're my best friend, and I need your support." Isabella looked at the Gryffindor symbol on Phineas's Pj pants.

"You're also my best friend, sometimes I think you know be better than even Ferb does. Isabella, I want more than anything for you to be happy where you are. And if it is with Drew, then I support you." He fought back the words I love you, feeling it was wrong to confuse her that way. That's not what a real friend does, they think of more than just themselves.

Isabella opened her arms, motioned for a hug. And Phineas gave her one.

"We are growing up, aren't we?" He whispered into her ear.

"I guess we are" she said, holding a little bit tighter to the feeling of youth, for when the sun started to rise, she would part with it, and let herself age.

Well, this was the last chapter. Epilogue coming out soon- please review! 3
