Chapter 7: It's a wonderful life part 2
"I wonder how shinou is going to screw this up," Yuri thought to himself watching everyone around him enjoy themselves. He waited while he opened his presents, he waited while listening to his granddaughters talk about their accomplishments, he waited as he shared a slow dance with Wolfram and he even waited while seeing his parents off as they left the demon kingdom via fountain. There was no sign of Shinou, and no sign of anything to ruin this dream. He walks back to it bedroom happily wondering how it will end,… and then this happened.
[F…flowers…ON MY BED?!]
There were red rose petals all over the bed, candles everywhere, and right in the middle of the bed…
[I KNEW THIS WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, SARA WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN MY BED?!]
Laid out on his side with his shirt half open revealing his creamy chest was Saralegui smiling back at him through the strands of his beautiful long hair.
Sara: why good evening your majesty, what's wrong? Are you still not use to having a beautiful blond in your bed.
[WRONG BLOND; what are you doing here?]
Sara: I wasn't able to catch the party so I decided to give you your present a little late.
[PRESENT? WHAT PRESENT? IF WOLFRAM FINDS YOU HERE HE'S GOING TO….]
"YOUR MAJESTY NOOOOOO," Yuri spins around to see Gunter and Conrad standing there.
[Of course, why wouldn't they be? SHINOU YOU BASTARD.]
Gunter: oh your majesty, have you finally grown tired of your beloved husband.
[SERIOUSLY?!]
Conrad: well he is a grown man, and variety is the spice of life.
[AGAIN not helping Conrad, you're having way too much fun at my expense.]
Sara: oh my a ménage a trios, how kinky.
[KNOCK IT OFF, IT'S NOT WHAT YOU THINK.]
Wolfram: what's going on here?
Everyone in the room stood still as if Wolfram's sheer presence froze time itself. Yuri however stares at him like a deer in the headlights. Wolfram looks over at Sara on the bed, and then back at everyone else, they were all waiting for him to explode. But instead he sighs and looks back at Sara with calm regard.
Wolfram: real classy; Sara. Do you really have nothing else better to do with your time then to heckle Yuri?
Sara sits up in the bed smiling: I simply can't help myself, his reactions are hilarious. We were just discussing the aspect of a threesome. How about it? I really don't mind sharing my Yuri with you.
Wolfram pinches the bridge of his nose: we're both getting way too old for this.
Sara clings to Yuri's arm: you like the idea, don't you, you naughty boy?
[I DO NOT, I never said that, honest Wolfram.]
Wolfram: Oh calm down Yuri, you're embarrassing us both.
Gunter: HOW CAN YOU THINK OF SOMETHING SO SORDID?!
Conrad: this will definitely disrupt the foundation of your marriage.
[Nothings getting disrupted, JUST WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO ME HERE?]
Gunter: IT'S SCANDALOUS, HORRID, INDECENT WHY YOUR MAJESTY WHY?
The sound of chuckling rang through the chaos, Yuri instantly look over at Conrad about to fume at him but noticed he wasn't the one laughing. Wolfram chuckled a bit before breaking out into full on laughter; Yuri stared at him a little worried that he might have lost his marbles.
[uh…wolf, you ok?]
Wolfram quietly walks through the room and stands by the window. The other occupants in the room also looked over at him a bit worried.
Wolfram: it is moments like these that I will always cherish…..Yuri.
His actions were somewhat surprising; but Sara's actions were even more surprising. The blond walks up behind Wolfram and wraps his arms around the other blonde's waist. He then rested his head on his shoulder, and gives him a peck on the neck causing the other to stiffen and blush furiously.
Sara whispers in his ear: must you always be so serious? You still have another 55 years or so, you should be happy with the time you do have with him.
Wolfram: g…get off me Sara, and go home. You're becoming a nuisance.
Sara: now that's more like it, no more frowns, you're far too attractive, wolfie.
Wolfram: LEAVE NOW.
Sara chuckles while releasing him: well it appears I have overstayed my welcome. Enjoy the rest of your evening my lovely wolf, and you too my precious Yuri.
He gives Yuri a slight kiss on the cheek before heading out the door. Yuri could only stare at the doorway in shock, what was that about? Was he really serious about the threesome business? Yuri puts his hands to his nose feeling another nose bleed coming on at the mere thought of the both of them in his bed.
[Dear god help me, I'm about to blow again.]
Conrad: Yuri…..
The double black king looked at him and noticed the serious look on his face as he watched his little brother by the window. Gunter also looked at him equally serious, they were worried about him. Yuri gives them both a reassuring smile.
[It's ok, I'll talk to him.]
Conrad gives him a small smile: then I guess we'll leave this to you.
Gunter: goodnight your majesty.
[Goodnight, guys.]
As the other two males left, Yuri takes a seat on the bed. He looks over at wolfram and watches him move from the window to the dresser. The blond quietly sifts through it looking for his pajamas, this type of silence unnerved Yuri.
[Um….so….crazy night huh? Just when you think it's over; something always happens to throw everything into a chaotic mess.]
Wolfram takes off his top and puts on the pajama top: I don't ever want it to end, I guess I like our chaotic mess.
[Wolfram.]
The blond goes back over to his husband and sits next to him; he rests his head on his shoulder and holds his hand. Yuri remains stills and relaxes against him; suddenly the feeling of something wet against his shoulder drew his attention.
[Wolfram?]
Wolfram: I'm trying….I….I'm trying to follow Sara's advice. But it's hard to look at you sometimes without being constantly reminded of the inevitable. There will be a time…w…where I will long for chaotic moments like this.
[Wolf, its ok, we'll be together for as long as I'm alive. Besides look on the bright side after I'm gone you're still not going to be alone. You'll have your family, Greta, our grandchildren and great grandchildren, and all of our friends. And …..well…..you…could always remarry in the future, lady Cecilie has done it in the past…..]
Wolfram: never…. I CAN NEVER DO THAT. What are you thinking even suggesting that?
He grabbed his husbands face and pressed his forhead against his own.
Wolfram: you are my first love and you will be last. There has never been nor will there ever be someone like you. I meant what I said, I love you, and I will always be yours…..always.
Yuri felt a twinge of pain deep inside of his heart; he never realized the extent of his love. Tears rolled down his face as he embraced his loving husband. This was it, this was real, a love he never thought he would experience in his life and it came from such an unexpected place. His body moved on its own and he laid down on the bed bringing wolfram closer to his body. He closed his eyes and buried his face in the blond's hair inhaling his scent.
[Wolfram….I…I…lo….]
Shinou: you love him? Really, are you just now figuring that out?
Yuri found himself standing in the black void again with Shinou, he panicked looking all about him for wolfram. He then realized what just happened and his body shook with anger, Shinou observed him closely and was about to speak when Yuri interrupted him.
[Y…Y…YOU JERK, WHAT THE HELL'S WRONG WITH YOU?!]
Shinou's eyes widened in shock: excuse me? Did you jus…
[WHY? WHY DID YOU TAKE ME FROM HIM?!Can't you see he needs me?]
Shinou: Yuri….
[I was about to tell him that I….that I….SEND ME BACK.]
Shinou: Yuri, you need to ca….
[ SEND ME BACK, I CAN'T LEAVE HIM HANGING, I WON'T, NEVER AGAIN DO YOU HEAR ME.]
Shinou grabs Yuri's shoulders: ENOUGH, YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN. This was a dream, remember?
The double black teen snaps out of it and stares at him. He was overcome with so much anger and sorrow that he hadn't realized that it was only a dream. He stands there emotionally numb at this point as he calms down from his episode. He touches his wet face and sighs staring at the ground; even if it was a dream, the way he felt at that moment was certainly real.
[I…wouldn't mind if it was real.]
Shinou quirks an eyebrow: are you sure? You're both male after all.
[It was wonderful; I never knew our future could be that perfect. Even if I do live as a human, at least I now have an idea of how our life will be. I want that for us, I really do…still you're a real jerk for giving me all of that just to take it all away.]
Shinou looks at him for a while in silence, he then gives him a sympathetic grin: I realize that now, my apologize. It was never my intention to needlessly hurt you; every dream has a purpose.
[Even the really stupid ones?]
Shinou: yes, even those; now that your mind has opened and you've realized your inner feelings; you'll be able to take your engagement more seriously…..it looks like you deserve a little reward.
[Reward? What do you mean by that?]
Shinou: you'll see.
The last thing Yuri saw was Shinou's mischievous grin before everything succumbed to darkness.
