A Sith and her slave chapter3
"Wow this was the first time you actually brought me to a nice place. Why did I even fall in love with you?" Vette playfully asked and leaned back in her seat contently. The joyful blue skinned Twi'lek and her girlfriend the young Sith warioress Veme Tabris were currently sitting in one of the fancier restaurants of the upper promenade on Nar Shadda. Veme had spontaneously invited Vette to a romantic dinner, which they were just about to finish.
The young Sith smiled happily and replied: "I have no clue but I seriously am glad you did. And to my defense: we visited a lot of nice places together. Unfortunately for us they were just always warzones during our stay." Vette giggled at that.
After Veme had paid their bill they got up from their seats. Vette gently kissed her red haired girlfriend on the lips and whispered: "Thank you for the nice evening. I love you Veme." The female Sith responded tenderly: "I love you too." Then a mischievous sparkle lit up in her green eyes before she continued: "We should head back to the Fury. If you are interested we could do some 'short range sparring' in preferably extremely light or nonexistent armor."
"Oh you insidious temptress. How can a mere mortal such as I resist the charm of an all-powerful and ridiculously cute and sexy Sith like you? But now seriously, I think I'd prefer the nonexistent armor," Retorted the blue skinned beauty with a sly grin. "One question though. Why did we fly all the way to Nar Shadda for a romantic dinner? Aren't there any fancy restaurants on Dromund Kaas?"
Shrugging Veme explained: "Oh there are quite a few. But there are also a lot of racist, self-righteous imperials I said restaurants. They would then most likely feel affronted that I dare to bring a low alien into their presence and would be horrified by the thought of me, a powerful human Sith lord, dating a Twi'lek. Don't get me wrong I love you and want to be with you because you are a far better and more loveable person than any of those elitist snobs. I certainly don't care their narrow mined opinions either but it would just have ruined the romantic atmosphere."
"Well you have a point there," agreed Vette: "If I told my former peers about a Sith being my girlfriend they would think I was crazy. … Eventually after they stop drooling. If my mother was still alive would probably have a heart attack at first. But I'm pretty sure she would like you after came to know you better."
Veme chuckled: "Yes we Sith have a rather bad reputation and most of us for a reason. Since my parents already think I am a disgrace to their bloodline anyway I doubt they would particularly care about you. But since I don't intend to ever see them again I'm afraid I can't formally introduce you to them."
"Don't worry from what you told me I don't have any desire to meet them at all. Let's focus on getting back to your quarters in order to start this 'close range sparring' instead," suggested Vette with a naughty grin. "I'd be pleased," responded the young Sith as they walked toward the nearest cab.
…
Zarka Haydon stood on the bridge of the imperial Destroyer-class battleship named "Roaring fury". A name that lacked originality in her opinion but at least it sounded somewhat intimidating. As the ship navigated trough hyperspace the captain of said vessel approached her just this moment and reported: "Ma'am we will arrive at our destination within the next five minutes. So far everything seems to be going as planned. We will leave hyperspace within fire-range of the republic battle ship and can start a surprise attack immediately."
The imperial captain spoke calmly and politely but his voice was filled with obvious contempt for the bounty hunter.
To him it was an insult that his precious ship was placed under the command of anyone else than himself, especially a mercenary. Even one as influential as the blond human before him.
Zarka didn't even bother to look at him while she asked: "Are the boarding ships ready for takeoff?"
The imperial officer answered: "Yes, but with all due respect there are Jedi on board of the republic vessel. If the reports of imperial Intelligence are correct our boarding-forces outnumber them 1:10 but still our losses might be tremendous. I propose we do not take this risk. We have the element of surprise on our side. We can blast their ship to pieces before they can even react. The Jedi and their younglings will still be dead. So I'd prefer not to waste the lives of good imperial soldiers."
The female bounty hunter finally turned her gaze on the captain. Her cold blue eyes pierced into his and instantly turned his insides to ice. "No, I was instructed by lord Larkos to leave the ship intact but kill everyone aboard and I intend to do exactly that. Furthermore I couldn't care less about the lives of your men and if you want to avoid a dispute with me you will do exactly as I say. You will only fire on the ships defensive system and damage enough of their engines to prevent them from jumping into hyperspace.
You may destroy every escape pod that tries to leave but you will only destroy the ship itself when I personally give you direct order to do so. Have I made myself perfectly clear?"
The captain only nodded intimidated and backed away.
Suddenly the "Roaring fury" slowed down noticeably and seconds later left hyperspace. They were in the space over Nar Shadda. The orange lit surface of the smugglers moon was seen far below them. Much closer a republic Destroyer floated through space.
The enemy ship had its back towards them and was, as anticipated, not prepared for their sudden appearance. With a wicked smile Zarka commanded: "Fire!"
The cannons of the "Roaring Fury" spew forth laser-beams that rained down on the defenseless republic ship. When it finally managed to react it was too late. Most of its engines were severely damaged, one third of its defensive turrets lay in ruins and imperial fighters were already soaring towards it to finish the rest of them. Republic fighters moved out to engage them in space combat but were outnumbered. Zarka was pleased. The surprise attack was successful so far.
"Keep them from escaping. I will lead the boarding party", she ordered then turned to the young woman that stood a few meters behind her: "Mako, as long as I am away you are in command of the ship." The human female with brown spiky hair answered: "Sure thing partner. I'll keep the captain in line." Said imperial officer glared at her and Zarka but refrained from protesting. The blond bounty hunter smiled at his obvious discontent and left the bridge towards the hangars.
...
The bridge of the republic ship was in panic. The captain, a mid-aged black human male discussed the situation with Jedi master Somminick Timmns. "Our defenses are as good as gone. The imperials have us at their mercy. The fact that they haven't already blown us to pieces is a miracle."
The mirilan Jedi responded: "Apparently they don't just want to blow us up. The imperials have other plans. Anyway we must evacuate the younglings. They are just children. We cannot allow them to come to harm. Are our escape pods still intact?"
"Most of them yes, but leaving with them would be suicide. There are too many enemy fighters out there." The Jedi looked disheartened. All those innocent young children were placed under his care an now all their lives were threatened. He had successfully prevented Darth Ekkage from escaping Belsavis, with some unexpected help maybe but still, only to fail at a task that was supposed to be a routine flight.
"What if the empire actually is after younglings specifically?" chimed in Neiya Chault, the padawan of Timmns : "Maybe the Sith intend to capture them and train them on Korriban." The green skinned Jedi master looked at his padawan in thoughtfully. Neiya was a young human female of 19 years with fair skin, long red hair and blue eyes. She was born on Nar Shadda and in a poor workers family in the industrial sector. Timmns' former padawan Thoma met her during a mission in the cold war on the smugglers moon and discovered that she was force sensitive. Thoma died during his mission but Neiya helped the republic Havoc squad to finish his mission and acted on his last advice to travel to Tython, where she started her long way to become a Jedi.
She wasn't very strong in the force but had a kind heart full of compassion and was very smart even though she had practically no education as a poor laborer. Those were the reasons why the mirilan Jedi took her as his new padawan. "A frightening suspicion but I fear you might be right Neiya." He admitted: "Anyway, since the escape pods are unsafe gather all younglings here on the bridge."
Suddenly a shrill emergency claxon echoed through the whole ship. "Sir, enemy boarding ships are infiltrating our hangars. Furthermore we are receiving a signal from an imperial personal cominicator." Master Timmns frowned but replied: "Put it through."
On the holoterminal in front of them appeared the image of a stunningly beautiful human woman in shades of blue. She wore dark heavy durasteel armor and a jetpack on her back. Her hair was apparently of a light color and her face was definitely one of the most attractive that Somminick had ever seen.
But the little smirk that decorated her face was malicious and her voice was devoid of any warmth or compassion: "Greetings republic command. My name is Zarka Haydon and I command the imperial ship named "Roaring Fury"."
The mirilan Jedi master retorted: "So we have to thank you for this unprovoked attack? I don't even know who you are. A Sith? An imperial officer? Anyways this is neutral space. The Hutts will not be pleased about a battle above their planet." Zarka seemed genuinely unimpressed by his words and continued: "I'm neither Sith nor some imperial bootlicker. I'm a bounty hunter and a pretty successful at that. Don't worry the Hutts have been generously bribed by my client to let this one slide. They won't interfere. As you might have noticed by now your ship is completely at my mercy and I and my troops have already invaded your hangars. I advise you and your soldiers to lay down your weapons and surrender peacefully. If you do so, I will grant everyone on board of this vessel a quick and painless death."
Master Timmns let out a short humorless laugh: "Oh, how generous. So if we surrender you'll kill me and my soldiers anyways? Why should we that?"
A diabolical grin spread on the bounty hunters face: "No, no, master Jedi you misunderstood me. I said I'll grant everyone aboard your vessel a quick and painless death. That includes you, your soldiers and all other Jedi on board, including the younglings you tried to deliver to Coruscant. But if you refuse my generous offer you and your soldiers will die in battle and the rest of the crew as well as your precious Jedi younglings will suffer pain far beyond your comprehension before they die."
The mirilan Jedi master paled in horror and his stomach knotted in fear. "You are bluffing. Those force sensitive children are more valuable for the Sith alive." He finally managed to state with a calm exterior. Zarkas cold gaze rested on him as she spoke: "That might be but I get paid to kill them and trust me: I always finish my jobs."
The sadistic but completely honest tone in which she delivered the line assured the Jedi master that she spoke nothing but the truth. He didn't even need his Jedi senses to know that. He lost his temper for a moment and yelled at her: "You are a monster. Most of these children can't even defend themselves yet and you plan to order your men to slaughter them? Just be warned: I have three hundred soldiers and a dozen trained Jedi on board of this ship."
Zarka Haydon laughed at him mockingly: "I have almost three thousand imperial soldiers at my command. Furthermore I'm insulted by your assumption that I would just sit back while they do the work. Be assured that I'll be personally participating in the act of slaughtering. Anyways this whole incident will ultimately in one way Jedi. Namely in a huge pile of dead children with your own corpse atop of it. It's your decision how much those children have to suffer before this final outcome, so choose your answer wisely. Will you surrender?"
Timmns let out a resigned sigh and answered: "I can't just let you kill innocents without a fight. If the force is with us we will fight you off until help arrives." The bounty hunter was obviously not too disappointed. She smirked and said: "I hoped you'd say that."
The Jedi master cried: "All men to arms. To the hangars. Captain, continue sending distress calls to grand master Satele Shan and bring the younglings here on the bridge. Lock it and let nobody inside. We will try to buy you time. May the force be with us, or we are doomed."
