"Holy fuck me." He whispered in shock as he slowly back stepped his way to the exit, his icy eyes never leaving the slithering figures on stage before he slipped out of the door sure that Ginn didn't notice he saw her in her stage début.

Chapter 27:

Counter Face

She sat in her usual desk, with her usual notebook open, with her eyes watching the same usual hand on the same usual clock creep closer and closer to the twelve to signal the start of her same usual psychology class. However, despite the entire usualness of this her whole day, Ginn felt something most unusual creeping inside of her.

It was a feeling that made her leg unable to stop shaking up and down with an anxiousness that could only be explain by the events that had happened between her and her best friends a few days ago, not to mention her recent stage debut at the club she secretly worked at.

Ginn hadn't seen either Tala or Kai since she barged in on them naked the day after they had all gotten wasted together at her house. She knew Tala had gone back to see Kai for a few hours the day after thought.

She struggled with listening to Tala's excited voice calling for the Russian and knocking heavily at Kai's door for almost thirty minutes, which nearly caused her to run outside and kick Tala in the shins. Almost immediately after Tala left that same day, she was, once again, disturbed by Hailey's shrill voice screaming at her neighbor's door as well.

The pink haired girls thoughts drifted back to the clock that her golden eyes were still glued to as she thought about what Kai and Hailey must have talked about since the blond was about to walk into the very room she now sat in.

She didn't hear the girl leave Kai's apartment since she went to work at the club once again, but she imagined it wasn't a very pleasant event. Ginn didn't see Tala at the club that night either; she assumed he just changed his hours since he knew things would be awkward between them. However, she still tried to prepare herself for a blond hellbitch to enter the room incase Kai or Tala told her about their adventure in the sheets together.

As if fate was in sync with the pink haired girl's inner monologue, Hailey stormed into the otherwise empty classroom much sooner than Ginn even expected. Anger radiated from the girl that Ginn had never witnessed before as the blond stomped toward her, blue eyes blazing red and ferocity flowing through the movements of the small cheerleader sized body.

Without any words, Ginn felt the blonde's manicured nails dig hard into the back of her scalp and tangle themselves roughly into the black of her hair, and in a matter of seconds, Ginn felt the bang of the cold hard desk in connect with the right side of her face.

The pain and shock of the surprisingly strong blonde's actions didn't even register until the ringing from the blow in Ginn's ears was gone and slowly filled with Hailey's high pitched screams.

"…Fucking stupid slutty bitchface loser!" The cheerleader yelled at the top of her lungs, backing away from Ginn as the room stopped spinning in her vision. She felt the blood trickled slowly from her lip as a pounding settled in her temples.

"Are you fuckin' kidding me right now!?" It was the only thing Ginn could currently think to say as she attempted focused her sight on the flushed red face of her attacker.

"Shut up whore! I knew you were low but not THAT low!" Hailey's voice was almost a growl at this point. Her small fists balled up as if she was getting ready to hit Ginn again who still sat stunned in her desk.

" Did you really just shove my fuckin' face into a fuckin' desk? Christ, what are you twelve?!" Ginn yelled back as she regained enough consciousness to jump to her feet. "What the hell did I even do to you?"

"Oh that's right you little whore home wrecker! Wouldn't you just love to hear me say it! Why don't you just drop dead!" Hailey screeched as tears mixed with her layers of eye makeup causing streams of black to run down her blushed cheeks.

Ginn almost couldn't help but laugh, her cheek bone and temple felt like they were on fire and she just couldn't stand the idea that she was currently getting bitched out buy a tiny blonde crying mess for something she didn't even do.

"Just get the fuck out bitch before I get enough sense back in my head to start beating the shit out of you. You don't even know what the fuck you're mad about!" The pink haired girl screamed as she began to rub the side of her face to help lessen the pain. She whipped the back of her hand against her lower lip as the metallic taste if blood began to overwhelm her taste buds.

Hailey paused in her speech as if to weight her options as her eyes darted to the hands on the clock. "…Fuck you slut!" Was all the cheerleader could muster up before she turned on her heels and ran out of the classroom in with tears and the slamming of a door behind her.

"Yeah, Fuck you crazy bitch!" Ginn yelled to the still empty room as she slammed her fist down onto her notebook in rage. "I will murder that fuckin' Russian!" The girl slammed her notebook shut and threw it roughly into her bag as she stormed out of the room. There was no way was she staying for class now, not with the migraine headache and bloody lip Hailey had just bestowed upon her.

Kai stood on the wooden balcony of the apartment stoop he shared with Ginn as he smoked another cigarette. He knew the girl in question currently had class and he was safe to hang around outside without risking seeing her, which felt risky after their verbal exchange from the other day.

This was his third one in a row and he was beginning to worry he was chain-smoking too much. Although, one couldn't blame him for it, he had just finished getting his hearing back after he listened to Hailey flip her shit on him all afternoon.

He told her that he had slept with "someone" and the blonde didn't exactly take it as well as he hoped. She screamed at him for a while, stomped her foot with rage and in tears, ran out of his apartment slamming the door behind her, but not before slapping him and calling him a dick along with several other colorful words.

He didn't even get the chance mention who he had had sex with, but just the act itself was all that his "girlfriend" needed to loose her mind on him. In truth, Kai was astounded; he didn't think it would be that big of a deal considering how slutty Hailey made herself out to be.

The bluenette sighed heavily as he watched the swirls of smoke dance in the beams the setting cast through the leaves of the trees behind the parking garage. His crimson eyes glazed over in thought as his mind drifted to flashes if his drunken night with Tala in his bed and memories of his yelling match with Ginn the morning after.

'You don't own me and you don't own Tala, if you want to fuck him then fuck him, if you want to fuck me then fuck me in fact fuck both of us for all I care, but don't go around with this bullshit about me not fucking your best friend because really it isn't you god damned business, this isn't a fucking TV show and your not the big shit you think you are.'

Kai's own voice echoed in his skull. It was as if the thought was bouncing the insides of his around without a way out. He found his fingertips pushing the dying end of his cigarette into the wooden banister he had been leaning against. As if on autopilot, his hands disposed of the old butt into his pocket and fished out a fresh one from a pack.

" I should find something healthier to smoke when I'm this anxious." Kai laughed to himself as he coughed a little at the fresh hit of smoke entering his lungs. He ran a hand through the slate blue of his bangs and let his palm rest across his eyes for a moment.

He felt a calm wash over his as the light was banished from his eyelids, his ears focused sharply on the soft sounds of the ocean breezes brushing through the trees around his mix with the crying of the sea birds in the setting sun.

The air left a soft layer of moisture on his pale skin as the twilight humidity began set in as it did daily in the late summer months. The Russian scoffed lightly to himself, no matter how much shit he was stirring right now, this weather, this sound, and this feeling of complete warmth and settlement was worth it.

He took another long drag from his cigarette allowing his senses to hone in on his surroundings a little longer until the sounds of footsteps on the stairs made his ears perk up. He knew Ginn was at school so he just assumed it was Tala attempting to sneak up on him playfully.

He let his smoke hang from his lips expecting Tala to throw his around his shoulders in a hug. However, the hug never came, instead, Kai feel the cigarette lift lightly from his lips as a swift sharp pain rushed through his knee sending him crashing into the wooden banister.

"Cunt!" Kai called out as his chin connected to the banister and spilt open. He quickly reclaimed his balance and whirled around to be face to face with the very red and very bruised face of his pink haired neighbor.

"YOU"RE THE FUCKING CUNT!" Ginn screamed only mere cementers from Kai's face; he could see the split in her lip reopen as she yelled. She took a deep drag off of his cigarette and threw it back at him.

"Ow, what the fuck is you're god damned problem!" He screamed back as he managed to catch the smoke and snuff it out on the banister before it could be used as a weapon again. His red eyes flared up he watched her own golden eyes rage in anger.

"You are you stupid little slutty shit faced idiot! Ever since you came here you have just been the bane of my fuckin' existence! I can't even believe I ever liked you!" Her eyes welled with tears. Kai couldn't tell if they were from her anger or something deeper, but the moment those tiny drops of liquid fell to her cheeks his anger began to lessen slightly.

He noticed the bruising on her face and the slight tinge of blood on her lip as she backed away from him towards her own front door as she continued, " All you do is fuck shit up, and your right, you and Tala isn't my fuckin' business but at least I have the metaphorical balls enough to man up to it!" Her voice broke at the end as if to hide a sob.

"What the fuck does that even mean Ginn? I've never lied to you; I've never done anything to hurt you. You're the one who's been shady about shit from the beginning… and what the hell happened to your face?" The Russian questioned as he took a step towards her reaching a hand out to touch her cheek.

She swatted him away and fished for her key in her pocket as she spoke, " Oh that's a fuckin' joke, you happen to be the reason by proxy that my face is fuckin' smashed in you asshole! Because YOU didn't tell your god damned girlfriend that YOU fucked Tala not me… now who's the shady one dickwad?"

The girl's voice grew louder and louder as she spoke. Kai couldn't believe it. Hailey did this to her because of what he did with Tala? That couldn't be what happened, Hailey didn't seem that vicious. The Russian shook his head at her.

"Look, I know she was upset but she wouldn't do something like this, and I told her straight up that I slept with someone else, I'm sure you probably heard most of the conversation through the walls." He finished as he pulled out his own key to unlock the door for her.

" Oh really Kai? Is that what you really think, because if it is you really are full of shit. I know you didn't her it was Tala and not me, and the dumb bitch is stupid enough to think that I would actually sleep with you! You are the one who fucked up here, not me!" Ginn cried as she shoved his muscular shoulders against the door in a blind rage.

"Jesus Christ Ginn that's not what happened and you know it! She didn't even give me the chance to explain anything to her, and what the fuck are you so mad about. So she fucked up your face a little, you're the one that's been trying to fuck me since I met you!" Kai hissed back. He felt a tingle of something primal crawl up his spine as his body reacted to her violence.

The Russian managed to recoil from the door and with one swift motion he caught her tiny body between his arms and pulled her inside of her apartment. It seemed like an appropriate move since their altercation was getting to personal to have on the porch.

"Get the fuck out Kai!" Ginn wallowed as she struggled in his grasp. She could feel the heat from his skin surrounding her almost making her feel a deeper fury than the anger she was already seething in.

"No, fuck that, not until you calm the fuck down and have a fucking civilized conversation with me." Kai grunted as he struggled to keep the small girl from clawing him in the face. "We have to talk about this Ginn so stop trying to fight me, I will kick your ass and not feel bad about it." He said as he shoved her into her bedroom and shut the door behind them.

"You're breaking and entering you asshole, I'm going to start screaming rape if you don't get the fuck out of here." Ginn accused as frustrated tears began to flow freely down her cheeks. She didn't understand why she wanted to kick Kai in the face so badly, but there was just a deep-rooted rage that was pulsing through her veins.

"Rape? Really, that's your defense right now?" Kai smirked at her as she sat in a pile of laundry staring at him with a burning fire in her eyes that looked much more like a primal passion than actual hatred.

"I just fuckin' hate you more than I ever thought I could right now fuckhead." The pink haired girl mumbled as she watched her neighbor tower above her. Her eyes traced the outline of his body, his perfect sculpted shoulders and arms, his chiseled chest, the strong lines of his jaws and cheeks.

Even the way he carried himself was flawless, and it pissed Ginn of more than anything that all she could think about right now was kissing his perfect lips. She bolted up and rushed passed him, she needed to leave the room, to be away from this man before she did something stupid.

Her head was still pounding from her encounter with the desk but she ignored it as best as she could as she fought with Kai for access to the bedroom doorknob. She could feel his hard body press against hers as he tried to pin her to the door to stop her. She could her his voice in a panic as her fingers managed to open the door sending the two roughly to hard wood of the small hallway.

"Hey hey Ginn, please, listen to me, please stop fighting with me." The Russian's voice broke above the rustling and banging the two created around them as Ginn struggled till she was fully beneath Kai's weight on the floor.

She paused unable to move or breathe fully till she felt the furious anxiety that was fueling her rage die down she let her chest rise and fall with the motions of Kai's own breathing above her. Allowing a deep inhale, she managed to wail out, she wasn't in pain or angry or sad anymore, she just needed to cry out all the emotions swarming inside of her.

Ginn felt Kai's strong arms wrap around her body on the cold floor and embrace her as if he had been her companion her whole life. She could feel the sincerity from his arms as she allowed herself to be fully emerged in the feeling of calming warmth.

She opened her tear stained eyelids to meet the bloody red orbs of the Russian that was currently holding her closer in his arms than is seemed even Tala could. Without a second thought, she raised her head the few inches and claimed Kai's soft lips in a desperately hungry kiss.

Kai didn't react for a split second as shock set in, a few moments ago this girl was willing to strangle him and now she was kissing him harder than any girl had ever kissed him. Their lips and tongues seemed to battle in a silent dance of dominance, teeth nipped at skin and time seemed to stop as their movements began to flow like liquid lust.

Ginn fingertips found themselves wondering their ways up into Kai's t-shirt as they grasped for new undiscovered skin. She ran her hands hungrily up and down his back and stomach before finding them selves removing his shirt over his head.

Kai was lost in a moment he never intended to be caught in as he followed suit and pulled her own tank top from her skin. He took a second to take in the beauty of her flesh beneath him. She was a beautiful color, with the perfect amount of curves where they should be. His eyes found themselves glued to the cleavage that currently spilled from her bra.

Kai flipped them both over to where Ginn was on top of him and straddled his hips with hers and he leant up and began to nibble delicately on Ginn's chest slowly making his way with his tongue into her bra. He felt her fingers pull at the buttons on his pants and began to work on her shorts when the realization of what they were doing started to sink in.

"Wait Ginn, stop." He pushed her back as she sucked the skin around neck roughly. Her yellow eyes glared brilliantly at him for a few seconds without an answer. The haze in her eyes was swirled with lust and hate for him as she leaned back into his neck.

"No, stop, what the fuck are we even doing right now?" Kai asked as he let Ginn shove his back onto the hard wood of the floor. "Hey, are you listening?" The bluenette asked again, this time roughly grabbing her chin to make her look him in the eyes.

"My face just got busted because you're a liar… you can't fix my face, but at least I can get something out of your lie." Ginn whispered in his ear as she bit down hard on his lobe. A chill ran down his spine as a deep animal need was slowly awakening inside of him.

He didn't know what she was doing to him to make him feel like a beast, maybe it was the fact that he knew she hated him, or the fact that at the same time she hated him, he knew she loved him. Whatever it was he knew that at that point he wanted to be inside of her more than he wanted anything else. He hoisted himself and Ginn up from the floor and in seconds they found themselves back in Ginn's bedroom.

"If I am a lair, then that makes you my secret." He mumbled as he bit down on her neck leaving a mark identical to the few she had already managed to leave him. Ginn let out a whimper of pleasure as she allowed Kai's tongue to trace it's was down to her chest.
