Omake~ Gifts
xXx
Perhaps you, the dear reader, have been wondering how exactly the entire tennis team knew that Sanada's mother had horrible taste in gifts. Or perhaps you weren't, it's no matter.
One year, Sanada's mom thought it would be nice to buy a present for each of her son's teammates.
Yukimura got two cans of industrial strength hairspray; She figured he would need it with hair like that. I mean, how did it stay during long games?
Yanagi got a 24-pack of glittery gel pens; She had thought that maybe his notes could use a little sparkle.
Akaya had gotten a coupon for a straight perm. That hair was so last season.
Niou had gotten a set of colored hair ties, which wouldn't have been that bad except they were shades of pink. The excuse was that they were 50% off.
Yagyuu had gotten a couple of handkerchiefs. She had judged him as the gentlemanly type, and had also had them embroidered with lace. "To make them cute."
Marui had gotten a set of hair bows. Hey, it wasn't her fault that he seemed to be a girl.
Jackal received a pair of wristbands, the most normal present. This was mainly because she had no idea what to get him.
Sanada got a migraine, when he watched his friends open the presents.

Sanada Genichirou, the Emperor of Rikkaidai, the Rock,
was standing in a girls' clothing store.
It wasn't really his fault. Muramoto had wanted a present and he would definitely not let his mother choose after a previous fiasco. The pink walls seemed to mock him and the crystal chandelier tinkled as if laughing at him. He blushed a bit, and reached to pull the brim of his cap lower over his head and then realized that he hadn't worn his cap.
He felt even more awkward when one of the salespeople came over, with hearts in her eyes, to ask if he needed assistance. Sanada had replied with an abrupt, "No, thanks." and had turned to leave.
As he was exiting, a white scarf on the wall caught his eye. He walked over to it, and took a closer look at it. The scarf had bits of golden thread woven into it that caught the light.
Sanada sighed, picked it up, and took it to the cash register.
He hoped Muramoto would like it, or else this would have all been for nothing.

Sanada looked at Sayuri's face when she opened the present and realized that it had been totally worth it.
(The hug that followed hadn't been that horrible either.)
Sanada jolted at that thought. TARUNDORU
