Hey everybody! Here's chapter 3 (finally)! Hope you all enjoy it :P
"Are you ready?" Olive asked Fletcher as they stood outside the door to the A.N.T Farm together.
"Olive, I don't know if this is a good idea-" he started for the tenth time that morning.
"Come on, Fletcher, man up!" she said with a quick punch to his upper arm.
"Ow!" he exclaimed as he rubbed his arm and pouted. "Why do you have to do that?"
Olive rolled her eyes at his complaint before he said, "Look, it's not that I don't want to tell everyone, it's just that I'm worried! In case you hadn't noticed, Angus has been pretty much obsessed with you for the last four years and I don't think he's going to like the idea of me dating you."
Olive sighed impatiently. "Well, Angus is just going to have to deal with it!" she began dragging him by the arm towards the door of the A.N.T Farm before he stopped both of them.
"And what about Violet? She's crazy! If she finds out we're dating who knows what she'll do to you!"
When Olive had first said to Fletcher that they should tell everybody about them, his first immediate thought had been Violet. Everyone knows that she's been crazy about Fletcher since she first came to the A.N.T Farm, so who knows what she would do to Olive when she found out she was going out with him.
"Aw, that's so sweet," Olive smiled at him. She suddenly changed, though, from a sweet exterior to a tough one. "But, I can handle Violet on my own. Let's go!"
Before a coherent word of protest could come from Fletcher's mouth, Olive pushed open the door to the A.N.T Farm. "Wait, wait, so…what's the plan exactly?" Fletcher questioned. Of course, he didn't get a very useful answer to this from Olive. All he got was an "I'll leave that part up to you" and a shove that forced him to stand in the middle of the very room.
"Okay everyone, listen up, Fletcher has something important to say!"
And suddenly, all eyes were on Fletcher. Despite this, Fletcher still managed to give Olive a look that was pleading, confused and annoyed all at once.
The next thirty seconds in the ANT Farm was basically filled with Fletcher stuttering, trying to figure out a good way to tell everybody the news. Just as he began launching into a story that probably would've lasted a good hour, Olive jumped in front of him.
"O-kaay, obviously Fletcher isn't very good at making announcements so I guess it's up to me." With that, she stepped backwards, took Fletcher's hand in her own and held them up. "Fletcher and I, are…boyfriend and girlfriend." She ended the sentence on a high note that she used almost to lighten the mood, as she wasn't entirely sure as to how everyone would react to the sudden news. The two had done nothing but argue with each other for the past three years, and all of a sudden they're telling people that they're dating? It must have been…shocking, unimaginable, unbelievable.
Apparently, it was unbelievable.
"Oh, come on, guys. You've used that lie before! Remember? When you were working on that project and didn't want me to get involved?" was the first response that came from Chyna.
"Yeah, so, what project are you guys working on this time?" asked Violet, tossing a football from hand to hand. Usually she would be in a fit of rage if anybody even dared to date Fletcher, but she knew that they were lying. Him and Olive? Come on, how could those two ever be in a relationship? They're, like, enemies!
"We're not kidding," Fletcher said quietly and slightly awkwardly.
"Come on, Olive, you can drop the act now." Said Angus from his computer. "We all know you wouldn't date Fletcher."
"And why wouldn't I/she?!" both Olive and Fletcher asked accusingly at the same time.
"Oh, great, now they're even talking at the same time. Wow, you must've had this planned for a long time!" Violet spoke with a hint of, almost, admiration. It was amazing that the two had managed to pull off such a convincing act – it was like they were both actually offended! "What's the project already?"
"There is no project!" Fletcher exclaimed. The class began to go back to their own things now, tired of Fletcher and Olive's act. How could they possibly think that anyone would believe something so…unrealistic? The two could barely stand in a room together let alone be in a relationship with each other!
"Well, unless you guys really wanna continue with this whole thing, I got some stuff to do so I'll just-"
"Wait!" Olive exclaimed, cutting off Chyna just as she began heading over to her guitar. "We'll prove it."
"Yeah!" Fletcher added, trying to back up his girlfriend. He whispered to Olive, "How are we going to prove it?"
Olive sighed, saw that all eyes were on the two of them again, and turned to face Fletcher. "Like this."
Suddenly, the room was occupied by a confused yet excited Chyna, an outraged and frantic Violet, and a shocked Angus who was pretty much on the verge of fainting. Everybody else in the room was also extremely shocked at what they were currently seeing.
What else would you expect when everybody suddenly saw Olive and Fletcher, two best friends/enemies who have argued and insulted each other relentlessly over the course of three years, kissing each other right there in front them?
And that was chapter 3! :)
Sorry if it's not as fluffy as you guys had expected or wanted, but I wasn't rly sure how to work that into this chapter in particular.
I might have a last final chapter (maybe like an epilogue or something I guess you could say?) in the next few weeks if you guys are interested!
Well I hope you enjoyed this chapter & the rest of the story and I hope you review to tell me what you thought! Thanks for reading! :D
(also I'm sorry it's so short D: )
