Chance glanced at Jake and then at the other two. Feral really was upset, and so was Roxy. Jake was doing everything to keep his temper. Chance could see him shaking with rage. This was a new one, even for him. "He didn't know."
"Who did not know, Jake? You know that you must use your words." Agatha was enjoying this way too much.
Jake took a deep breath and aimed his right arm towards Agatha. "You want me to use my words, Ms. Agatha, fine. Then I will use my words. Commander Ulysses Feral Furlong did not know what had happened to us because Lt. Commander Roxanne Rose Clawson was told of you coming first. She asked a doctor to tell our father that she had died in childbirth and that I was a stillbirth. As for Chance, our mother had kept him with an old co-worker. She died and then Chance was placed in an orphanage. Our father was told that he was killed in an accident. It was, unbelievably, not his fault. He knew nothing because our mother knew how to hide things from him." Jake had taken his time wording all of this. While Jake had said all of this, Chance went and processed the facts in his mind. Feral was stupefied, and Roxy was crying silently.
Chance actually could believe this to be real, but if that was the truth; then not only was his little brother also his partner, his father was the same guy who had been trying to put them in jail when they were the Swat Kats. 'Awe crud.'
Chance had done some digging into his past after the great crash of the Swat Kats. He had many favors pulled in to put that his father was Feral, but now it was being confirmed to him. Not only that, but his mother was alive as well, and he was also Jake's big brother. This was definitely not a good day to quit sniffing motor oil.
"That may be so, but the point is that you were all four labeled as orphans, and since you were never adopted, you shall remain as orphans till such a time!" Her eyes were even crazier as she rambled on. Stepping even more closer to the tiniest of them, Jake. "You shall remain… Oof" Something tackled her and pinned her across the street onto a wall. An octopus missile.
"Don't even think about it, H-Agatha." Jake's eyes were sharp, his thoughts clear, and his aim true. "We aren't your precious science experiments anymore!" He was now shouting. His eyes were starting to glow a bit on the red side. His right paw started to glow blue with a fire around his glovetrix and paw.
"Jake, no, calm down!" Roxy was already starting towards him, she was worried, but tried to keep her voice soothing and calm. "You just need your medicine."
'So that stuff keeps him calm as well, huh? Great.' Chance reached him first and had his paw on his shoulder. "C'mon little buddy, let's get going. We gotta get back to normal just to fly the jet home. Then we can sit down and watch Scaredy-Kat until something normal happens. How does that sound, partner?" Chance asked him calmly. His voice was still like a kitten, but his confidence was no doubt back to his normal age.
Jake looked up at his partner and his eyes were back to normal. Or at least as normal as they could be with him as a kitten. "Aw, come on, you know I think Scaredy Kat is boring. I mean come on, the guy keeps doing the same thing, he scares his himself silly. I mean, what's the point." He smirked at his best friend. He was starting to turn back to his normal, calm self now. "And also, what the heck do you call normal? Dr. Viper? Dark Kat? Or maybe you think that the Pastmaster is normal?" He started laughing at it like it was all a joke. He lowered the little glovetrix that he had loaded up with an octopus missile from his normal glovetrix. His paw's glow started to fade slowly.
"Actually… yes." Then Chance started laughing. "Though you're forgetting the Metalic-Kats. Now that's normal for us, hahaha." The two kittens were laughing at just how crazy their world was. Jake had stopped glowing completely by now.
"Yeah, two walking tin cans that were once mobsters is pretty normal, ahahah." Jake was smiling a for real smile.
Feral just looked at these two crazy kittens, which were indeed his own, and thought, 'As usual, I'm outdone by my own kids. At least this time I know who they are under the mask, and stupidly enough, I couldn't be prouder.'
Roxy just looked at her boys and smiled softly as she wiped away a small tear. 'I always knew they would do great things.'
Jake then started to falter. His eyes started to droop like a kitten going down for a nap. Feral and Roxy started towards them. His knees buckled and he started to fall, Chance was barely able to catch him. "Jake? Jake!" he had passed out from exhaustion.
