Chapter 3: Demon of the mists and the Battle for the Bridge

"Is everyone in position." Kakashi spoke into his comm.
*Static*
"Hello. Is everyone in position" Kakashi asked again.
"Tora was playing with Fukushū-sha's tail again." A voice said from behind him.
Kakashi turned around to see a that Naruto had spoken, behind the blond was a demented Fukushū-sha with a cat, wearing a huge bell around it's neck, hanging from his tail.
"Well i guess that is the end of this mission. Lets head back to the Hokage tower." Kakshi told the team.
Arriving at the Hokage Tower, they turned Tora over to his owner the Lady Fire Daiymo.
"Good job Team 7, I have a couple of more D rank miss..." the Third Hokage was saying.
"No, I want a real mission old man." yelled Naruto. Kakashi 'Gibs Smacked' him in the back of the head before anyone could say anything. Making Naruto's face connect with the floor coming up to meet him.
The third hokage smiled inward, while saying "Well i do have a escort mission that is ranked C-class."
"I'm sold."Yelled both Naruto and Kitsune
Chuckling slightly, the hokage turned to a hidden ANBU "Would you please bring in the visitor."
"Hai, Hokage-sama." the purple haired ANBU, with a snake mask, said before leaving.(I wonder who that could be, hehehe, get back in your room. Sorry.)
A couple minutes later smelling of really strong sake, which had both Naruto and Kitsune gagging do to their highly sensitive noses, a pot-bellied man with a straw hat on walked into the room.
"These brats are going to escort me. They all look like they'll piss there pants, before we get out of the village. That short one with the blonde hair looks like he is the weakest of them all." Tazuna told them.
"Why you." Naruto starts to jump at Tazuna, only to be grabbed by Kakshi.
"You can't hurt the client, Naruto." Kakshi said to the the yelling Naruto.
"You'll all meet me at the East gate in 1hour. You'll be escorting me to my daughter's home in the wave county." Tazuna told them in a bored tone.
xTime skip 3 daysx
"My house is just a few hours from here. We should be there by lunch-time." Tazuna told Team 7.
Naruto was juggling his kunia with his 4 fox tails. He was feeling slightly sad, so he thought this would cheer him up. Everyone knew he had the fox tails a day after the Demon Brothers had atacked them.
Flashback
The day before Tazuna had told them that a power hungry buisnessman called Gatou was slowly killing the Wave country with his dealings. So they were all weary of any other ninja that would come after the bridge builder.
Naruto rolls out of his tent, stretches with Kitsune cuddled up next to him. (Not yet my pervy friends, hehehe, but soon.) Walking out of the tent he had on only his pjs. He went to go relieve himself, only to bump into Sakura walking back from filling her water bottle. Sakura tripped slightly on a tree root, Naruto quickly grabbed her by his 3 tails.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" the Banshee screamed.
Kakshi and Saskue jumped out of bed and ran toward the sound of Sakura screaming. What they came to see was a Naruto trying to run from an angry Sakura, but not going anywhere because she was pulling him back by his tails, 1 . 2 . 3 . WAIT, NARUTO HAS TAILS!
After Sakura calmed down and Naruto had stopped cowering in his tent, he told them all that he was being granted 9 tails via Kitsune, (who was the kyuubi, but who doesn't know by this point.) saying that it would take 9 weeks to have 9 full tails. Since he was on his 4th tail he was at his saddness tail. He also told them what the other tails would do to him. Kitsune, Sakura, and Seishin-ryoku all blushed at what his 8th tail would make him (can anyone say horn-dog). Tazuna, Saskue, Fukushū-sha, Raitoningu, and Kakshi sweat-dropped at this.
Kakshi motioned to Naruto to come talk to him. "Naruto, have you felt the chakra signature of another ninja." Kakshi asked.
"Yeah. They have been watching us since we beat those freaks with the claws." Naruto told him.
"Well we can't do anything about it now. So we should just press on. We also need to be on the look-out for other enemy ninja" Kakshi told his team.
xx End Flashback xx
Naruto threw one of the kunias into the bushes. They all heard a squeal from where he threw the kunia, looking only to find a small white frightened snow hare.
"Dammit Naruto, you baka, it was just a hare. You didn't have to go and scare it." Sakura was yelling at him.
But Kakshi and Naruto were both looking at the snow hare. 'That's a snow hare, but it's spring. The only way it would have a white coat is if it was raised inside. And only then would it be used for a substitution jutsu.'
Suddenly, Naruto picked up the sound of a sword flying at them.
"Duck." He yelled while pulling Sakura and Saskue down by the front of thier shirt. Tazuna dropped like a dead fish (no he did not die). And Kakshi jumped over the sword as it slammed into a tree. (Poor tree, *sob sob*)
"I'm going to skin you slowly, brat." a quiet voice came from behind them. Looking up they saw an eyebrowless man, with his lower face covered in a bandaged mask wearing a Water Village headband with a slash through it. The man was standing on the sword. Seeing Kakshi, he said "Finally Kakshi, the copy-cat ninja and his little pet Raitoningu. I kept a book on you so that if I ever met I would be able to kill you. I've so wanted to see that eye of yours."
"Zabuza, Demon of the Mists, one of the 7 legendary swordsman. Nuke-ninja, class A rank from the bingo book." Kakshi told his team. "What ever happens just stay with Tazuna, I will protect you all." The team took up a defensive formation with Naruto at the left with Kitsune, Sakura behind Tazuna with Seishin-ryoku, and at the ront was Sasuke with Fukushū-sha.
Kakshi then pulled up his headband to show (duh duh duuuuh) a Sharingan.
"What Kakshi has a Sharingan!" Saskue and Fukushū-sha both thought.
Raitoningu's fur started to stand up as they all heard the slight static it was giving off. Though while he was doing this he had his eyes were closed. So he did not see the giant croc racing at him from the trees, where it had stayed hidden, until it was to late. The croc ran into Raitoningu only to find him *poof* into smoke. The croc then felt his entire body get lit up by an shock as Raitoningu jumped from the trees to his back. The croc rolled into the water to hide himself and attack again, only to find that Raitoningu was waiting for him at the edge of the bank.
While this was happening, Kakshi and Zabuza was pushing for better footing on the river. Kakshi using a kunai and Zabuza his cleaver, while two water dragons fought each other above them. They then pushed apart and started forming signs only for Zabuza to stop and see a ghostly image of ... him-self behind Kakshi.
*next couple of sentences are going to be kakshi and zabuza talking and finishing each other's sentences.*
"What can the Sharingan..."
"See the future."
"Can he..."
"read my mind."
"I'm going to kill you..."
"Pathetic excuse for a ninja."
"Water Explosion no Jutsu!" Kakshi yelled.
A gaint wave flooded over Zabuza, slamming him into a tree. Kakshi landed on a branch above the nuke-nin.
"Now you die, Zabuza." Kakshi told him with Killing Intent.
Looking down, Zabuza said "Don't kill me, I just wanted to take my children from the Hidden Mists village and live at Kohona. We just didn't have enough money. So we took up odd jobs, like transporting people. Then Gato found us and told us that he would pay for us to get to Kohona after we helped him grab the bridge-builder."
Kakshi slid down his fore-head protector over his eye. "You can come out now." he said to a patch of trees. Kakshi had noticed two chakra signatures coming from the trees when he had been fighting Zabuza.
A young girl and boy about the age of the genin came out of the forest. The girl had on a komino with waves going across it, she carried nothing but a ANBU with the Hidden Water Village markings on the mask. Standing next to her was a small polar bear. The boy on the other hand had a trident and a net, he wore a pair a light blue shorts with a black tank-top, across his head was head band just like Zabuza's. This boy had a small timber-wolf by his side.
Naruto bounded up, eager to make friends. "What are your names, I'm Naruto. I'm going to be hokage one day. This is my partner kitsune. " He zipped off with a giant smile, Kitsune had jumped up on his head.
The young girl stepped foward and looked naruto in the eye. Then in a nice quiet voice said, "My name is Haku, it's nice to meet you Naruto. This is my partner Yuki (Snow) " 'Oh, kami he's so cute. I want to throw him on the ground and... No, bad Haku. BAD BAD BAD Haku.' Haku thought to herself, blushing slightly when she thought this.
The boy piped up with a slightly shaky voice from being nervous. "My name is Mizu ryū (Water Dragon), my partner's name is Ookami no kokoro (wolf heart), but we just call him Koko." Mizu ryū was looking at Sakura with intrest. 'Who's the hot pinkette over there next to the person that has a duck-butt for hair and a look like he has a iceicle up his ass.'
Then Zabuza spoke up, "this is my partner, Kyōki (Insanity). He'll carry Kakshi. These are my son and daughter. Thier mother was killed when I tried to get them out of the Hidden Water Village." 'Haku and Mizu ryū are both in love, great. I just hope i don't have denomic grandkids.
Kakshi suddenly fell from the tree, due to chakra exasution. Haku, caught him and gently laid him down on the ground. Zabuza, holding his son's trident and net as Mizu ryū helped put Kakshi on Kyōki. Zabuza then told them all how the Kirigakure's hokage was destroying the bloodlines for fear of a rebellion like in the Kohona.
"What was your name again." Zabuza asked Naruto.
Naruto grinned wide and told him. "My name is Uzumaki Naruto. I'll be Hokage of Kohona one day. You just bet."
Zabuza's eyes widened just a bit when Naruto told him his name. Then the bandaged mask smiled at the young boy.
"I'm sure your mother would be proud of you, Naruto Uzumaki." Zabuza told the blonde boy.
"Huh, What do you know about my mother. Please tell me Zabuza." Naruto pleaded.
"All she left at village was a scroll. She then told me that if i ever see a young boy by the name of Naruto to give it to him when he was old enough. I see that you are a fine genin, I'll give it to you when the time is right." Zabuza told him. (Bet you didn't see that coming.)
"I know Naruto just found out about his family, but i do believe that we need to head to my house to heal Kakshi. Also it's getting late so i do believe that we need to head to my house."Tazuna told them deadpanly.
With that the group set off to the bridge builder's house. When they arrived it was dinner time, Tazuna lived with his daughter Tsunami and his grandson Inari.
"Dad, welcome back. How was your trip?" Tsunami asked her father.
"It was okay, where's Inari? Oh, there he his." Saying as a young boy of about 7 came into the room.
The young boy froze when he saw Zabuza, Haku, and Mizu ryū. He then ran over to his grandfather. He glared at the ninja's before turning around and walking out the door.
Before he went out he stopped at the door "You all are going to get killed."
"What's that supposed to mean you lil brat. You should be grateful that we're here. You don't know how luck you are to be loved and cared for. I was thrown out of an orphanage at the age of 3. Each year on my birthday I was beaten to an inch of my life. If you want to help stop sniveling like a little baby. Or so help me I'll beat you into a pulp." Naruto yells before jumping up.
Before Naruto could take a step, Haku had threw a senbon at, hitting naruto. Who then fell back on the floor. Both Kitsune, because she thought he was dead, and Haku, because she didn't mean to throw the senbon that hard, were actually worried.
'Oh, please don't let him be dead. He didn't even get the chance to screw me so hard that i would go insane.' Both Kitsune and Haku thought at the same time.
Naruto was sound asleep as they looked him over, making sure that he was not dead. The group after put their and Naruto into one of the three guest rooms, one for the girls, one for the guys, and one for the Jounin.
Kikashi then followed Inari outside and found the little kid crying by the sea.
"Inari, I hate to tell this to you. But everything Naruto told you was true. He has been beaten to near death several times. When I look at him I see a pained child that hides behind a happy mask. the truth is I'm one of the many ANBU that had to stop the mobs and take him to the hospital. I think he's sick of crying his pain away and endures it to become a stronger person." Kakshi tol him.
"So he has had been in more miseary than i have." Inari told cyclops ninja.
"Yes, so I suggest that you give up the crying and look to see what Naruto is like." Kakshi told the kid.
"Inari, Kakshi, dinner is done. Come inside and eat." Tsunami yelled at them.
After a great meal, the ninja turned in. Kakshi and Zabuza talking until mid-night, the boys fell right to sleep. So did the girls, later that night two of the girls slipped into the boys room, quickly finding naruto they snuggled up next to him.
The next morning Naruto was awoken to two numbing arms. He looked to find that Haku and Kitsune were both lying on his arms. Slowly lifting his arms out of them, he saw Mizu ryū trying to stop from laughing. forgetting that there were two sleeping girls next to him.
"WHAT'S SO FUNNY, YOU BAKA!" Naruto yelled, only to be found bloodied after a certain Kitsune jumped up and started to pound him into a pulp. Thanks to this, Haku woke up and found that she was in the middle of the boys room with only her night gown on.
Screaming, she threw a ice ball at her brother's face and at Kitsune. By this time, Kakshi and Zabuza were both in the door way laughing. Saskue and Fukushū-sha was sleeping outside on the porch, so he was uneffected by the noise until Naruto ran over them trying to get away from an angry Sakura and Seishin-ryoku having Naruto wake the two pink-haired cougars (this means a very scary girl not a single older woman) up.
Naruto was about to jump into the ocean only to find out that Sakura had grabbed one of his tails and was pulling him behind the house. A few moments later, Sakura had stopped yelling at Naruto (is it safe...). The group went behind the house only to find Sakura holding a struggling blonde fox who was yelling "Help me." at the top of his voice.
After seperating Naruto and Sakura and Zabuza had a quick talk with his daughter about crawling into bed with a stranger. Kakshi told the group of genin that they were going to do some training. Zabuza and Kakshi had talked about this last night before sleeping, (and if you pervs are thinking that Kakshi is gay, go die.) they belived that Zabuza should take on naruto as his part-time sensei. Seeing that Zabuza could help Naruto, since he knew his mother.
Kakshi told them about the basics of chakra control and told them that they were going to be climbing these trees to the top. Only using their feet, and since Mizu ryū did not have good chakra control he was joining them.
"Kakshi-sensei isn't that impossible with out using your hands." Sakura asked him.
"Hmmm, I'll just show you." Kakshi told her. Making the ram sign, the dust around Kakshi's feet picked up a little, and then he slowly started walking up the side of a random tree. (I wonder if I can do that, Starts walking up the side of a tree only to fall down and break my head. Randomness, you got to love it.)
"I want you all to try and make it to the top of these trees." Kakshi told them. Taking out 4 kunia knives, he threw them at the genin's feet.
Saskue went first, only getting part-way up the tree before the tree broke from to much chakra. Mizu ryū went next, only getting up about a foot before he slipped and fell, causing to have a big knot on his head from not having enough chakra.
"Hey this is easy." Sakura yelled, everyone looked at her, she was sitting on a branch at the top of one of the trees.
"Wow, that's awesome Sakura." Mizu ryū yelled.
Smiling at Mizu ryū, Sakura saw that he had a longing look in his eyes. Seeing this look, she blushed slightly. 'Why am I blushing cuz of what Mizu ryū said.' Sakura thought to herself.
"Well, at least one of them has some chakra control." Kakshi said to himself.
Everyone looked to where naruto was walking up the tree by his ... hands. Naruto was slowly walking up the tree, doing a handstand. And if that is not impressive enough, juggling his ninja tools with his 4 tails. (Talk about multi-tasking)
-Flashback-
"Kitsune, when am i going to be able to learn jutsus." Naruto whined.
Kitsune grumbled, "Cuz kit, you need to be able to control your chakra more than you are now. So i want you to start tree-climbing by only walking up them."
"How will i be able to do that." Naruto asked.
"It's easy kit." Kitsune told him. She started to walk up one of the nearest trees, all the while explaining how the better you have a chakra control the more easily a jutsu can be learned.
Looking down at Naruto from 20 feet up, Kitsune asked "So do you get it kit."
Naruto nodded quickly, he started to work on the technique. Resulting in several lumps and broken bones in the next several hours.
-End Flashback-
Kitsune was wide eyed wondering if he was going to drop any of his weapons on his head. Haku, was wondering how much stamina this boy had and if she could control that stamina.
Only when Naruto got to the top of the tree did he look down and see the stunned faces of his teammates and sweethearts. He blew a kiss to all the girls down below him, two out of the four fainted (Haku and Kitsune) from getting a kiss blown to them.
Soon the ninja's had a routine down, Sakura would go with Tazuna and gaurd him, Saskue and Mizu ryū would work on thier chakra control, the ninja animals would have small battles with usually had one ref and two 3 on 3 teams, and Haku would go with Naruto and Zabuza to make sure her father did not hurt her sweetheart in anyway.
On the first day Zabuza had pulled out a storage scroll and brought out another giant sword that was hugely serrated(think of Renji's *from bleach* zanpakutō after he tells it to 'roar'), this one completely white with a red handle.
"This was your mother's. She wanted you to have it. It's name is Ketsueki Kiba (Blood fang), I heard her call it Keta for short. This weapon, with the power of the Uzamki blood will become a powerful weapon." Zabuza explained.
Naruto grabbed the handle and picked it up with ease, the sword almost felt like it was waiting for him to pick it up. After a quick few strokes with the sword, naruto got the feel of it. Zabuza started teaching him the principles of sword techniques. After a few days, Naruto had all but mastered the simple techniques Zabuza taught him. So they started to spar, soon Naruto almost cut Zabuza if the water ninja had not seen it and jumped out of the way.
Though against Zabuza's better judgement Naruto continued to work on his form. He even stayed out all night sometimes to work on it.
One of those nights Haku and Kitsune went to look for him. Seeing that he was about to pass out, the girls took him to a hotspring they had found.
The next morning was when Gatou was supposed to show up on the bridge with his army of 1,000 mercs.
It was a really misty day as Gatou stood there with his army, smirking as he saw Zabuza and his family come out of the mists.
"I think these belong to you, Gatou." Zabuza growled at him. Haku and Mizu ryū laid down two dead bodies, one was a shortish person with a hoodie and a skull cap on with trinangle tattoos under his eyes. The other was a taller man who wore only a pair pants. The both had huge gaps in thier chests where Zabuza's sword had gone throught their bodies.
"So did you get the bridge builder Zabuza, cause it looks like you haven't really. The bridge is almost complete, I wanted the bridge builder to die. Where is hguhhhh." Gatou had been spewing off so much that he failed to see the giant white cleaver come out of the sky and chop off his head. Naruto then *poofed in a smoke cloud* next to the white sword.
Naruto stood next to the now headless Gatou. Looking at Zabuza, he winked as his chakra cloaked him first in blue then in red. Releasing the genjuitsu to show his 5 tails and his fox ears this allowed the merc army to see that they had messed with the wrong village. Zabuza making a few hand seals lifted the mist to show not only where there the Demon family of the mists the and Kohona ninjas, but several thousands of villagers armed to the teeth with everything they could find from kitchen knives to pickaxes and sledgehammers.
"You have a choose, you can walk away from here and live or fight and die." the now pupil slitted Naruto told the mercs.
One stupid merc spoke up. "You killed our meal ticket, so I guess we'll fight and raid the town. maybe take some of the girls and make them our fun tgahhh..." one of the mercs was silenced by a trident that Mizu ryū had thrown (ok, note to self, do not piss him off.) sticking through his chest. The mercs heart sitting on the middle prong which had been ripped from his body.
"Anyone else." Naruto asked.
The mercs looked with a greedy look in their eyes at him, looked back at their fallen comrade, back to the blonde and attacked.
"Free for all." Naruto yelled as he bound in to the crowd with Keta singing from all the energy in his blade. Naruto started kill before the mercs got near him, making serveral shadow clones he destroyed the first wave of mercs.
Haku was throwing senbons and trapping mercs in her ice mirrors, killing the them quickly. Mizu ryū was stabbing his trident keeping the mercs off Sakura, who was healing anyone who got hurt (Sakura's mother is a medical ninja at the hospital in Kohona).
Kakshi and Zabuza were attacking a man with a giant claymore, but they was slowly gaining ground. Finally Kakshi had hit the man making him dazed, Zabuza drug his blade on the ground causing sparks to fly up and cut thrue the man's giant claymore and slice him in half.
The villagers where attacking not only for themselves, but for their families and hopes of the future. They had saw how Inari had changed thanks to Naruto's little speech and seeing him work and train hard to be respected. The villagers thus changed and started revolting against Gatou.
Finally the mercs got the idea that they were outmatched turning to run. They found the ninja animals, who had fairied on Kyōki, at their back. Soon the mercs were nothing but pieces of bodies.
"I think we need to get all this flith of this nice bridge." kakshi asked Zabuza.
"I think we do need to clean this nice bridge." Zabuza replied. "okay lets start cleaning this bridge so that it can be finished."
Everyone that was not hurt started cleaning the bridge of body parts.
Inari looked at his grandfather and asked "So what are we going to call the bridge once it's finished."
His grandfather looked at everyone working all around them and replied to his grandson. "How about the Bridge of Hope."
With that they both smiled and agreed that it would be called the Bridge of Hope.
x Time skip 2 weeks x
Team 7 had just returned from the Land of Waves. Kakshi and Zabuza were being debriefed by the Hokage. Zabuza and Haku were put on 1 month probation, Haku had to work at the Hospital (were many male ninjas tried to get her, but many of them ended up in the hospital cuz of senbons that paralyzed them) and Zabuza was put into the ANBU task force (many of the ANBU hated this idea, but Zabuza made quick friends with Ibiki). The rest of the team were on their own for the rest of the day.
Naruto, Haku, and Kitsune in fox form, were running to the blonde's favorite Ramen stand. When they heard a cry from Konhohamaru, seeing the boy was being held up by a boy in complete balck with make-up on. (It's war paint damn it. I will kill you my pervy brother. takes out a gaint battle axe and runs after the pervy freak.)
"You lil punk, I'm going to squeeze the life out of you." He told the scared shitless Konhohamaru.
"Don't do it, what if he finds out." a blonde haired woman with an impressive bust told the weird cat man. And speaking of cats, looking down at his feet was an African Painted dog who also had on purple war paint on. ( Thank you, dumbass perv.) On the shoulder of the blonde was a purple weasel with an eyepatch over one eye and a kunia on it's back.
"I don't care the boy hit me, so I'm going to make him pay. Oww" he yelled as he felt a senbon hit his hand. Dropping Konhohamaru, he turned to see Haku holding another shinbon ready and Naruto holding Keta ready to cut off any limbs. (bloody ain't I :D )
All of a sudden Naruto started laughing. "Omg, it's an emo stalker in a cat suit with make-up."
The boy pissed off set down his giant mummy like package off of his back, and in any universal language flipped Naruto off (Bad thing to do idiot). naruto jumped forward, his blade almost about to hit him when a wall of sand caught his blade.
"Kankuro, you shame our village." a redheaded boy had was walking behind the cat-suit guy. He was a pale boy on is back was a large gord on his back and the symbol for love on his head in what looked like blood, told the black clothed boy.
"Yea, but Garra they..." Kankuro started to say.
"Shut up, or I'll kill you." Garra told with killing intent, Kankuro who just shut up with out a peep.
Turning to face Naruto and Haku, Garra asked "What is your name."
"Me." naruto asked
Garra nodded.
"My name is Uzamki Naruto. I'll become Hokage one day." Naruto told Garra.
A small raccoon jumped up from Garra's pocket and looked at Kitsune with a smirk. The raccoon was sand colored all over. The only weird thing on the raccoon was it had purple veins all over it's body.
"I don't know why, but mother wants your blood. Shhh, don't cry mother. I'll get you his blood, and then you'll be happy." Garra said to himself. With that he dissappered into the sand and was gone.
Temari turned and bowed to Naruto and Haku.
"I'm sorry for my lil brother's excitment, Kankuro can be a lil idiotic at times." Temari told them as she walked away.
Leaving the two ninjas to wonder why they were there.

That is over. For a minute. I need at least one older female that naruto falls for, maybe more. Idk, I might do several. Including kiba's mom, sister, or both. Just to put him in his place. I had thought of putting a Lemon in this chapter, but idk on that. can we still do lemons or are they banned. Anyways, next is the Chuunin exams and The attack of the Sound village.

Who will come out on top in the chuunin exams, will the teams crack under the pressure or survive to fight again. Only you know.
