The next morning Naruto walked into Hiruzen's office to get the Hokage. "Yo jiji it's time to check on my students."

Hiruzen looked up from his seemingly endless paperwork. "Ahh Naruto-kun it's good to see you. " He got up from behind his desk and began to walk with Naruto to the training field. "So Naruto do you think your team is up to a C-rank mission." Naruto nodded assuring his grandfather figure that his team was capable of the task in front of them.

When they arrived at the training ground they saw that the girls were already waiting for them. Naruto clapped getting the girls attention. "Alright girls today we are going to show Jiji here what I've taught you over the past few days. First of Matsuri your affinity jutsu if you will."

Matsuri nodded before gathering chakra in her hand. "Lightning beast running jutsu." The lightning shot from her hand taking the appearance of a large cat before charging the training post. When it connected the post was immediately destroyed.

Naruto nodded at his student's success. "Good now Hanabi will you please show us your jutsu."

Hanabi nodded flashing through hand signs. "Wind style: Great breakthrough." A large gust of wind shot from her mouth blowing away some small trees. (AN: I've heard of airheads but this is ridiculous.)

Naruto smiled in approval. "Moegi use your base attack."

Moegi nodded understanding the hidden message. "Fire style: Fire ball jutsu." The jutsu set the trees Hanabi had knocked down ablaze. Naruto seeing this quickly put them out with a water jutsu.

He then turned to Hiruzen and smiled. "So do you believe their ready?"

He nodded in acceptance. "Yes Naruto I do believe their ready. But do they have any other new jutsu to show me."

Naruto chuckled. "That depends is that an order."

Hiruzen smirked. "As a matter a fact it is I want to see everything they have at their disposal."

Naruto nodded turning to the girls. "Alright first up Matsuri. Go ahead and show him your newest trick."

Matsuri grinned before going through hand seals. "Summoning jutsu." A slug roughly the size of a small hoarse appeared from the smoke.

"You called lady Matsuri."

Matsuri nodded. "Yes the Hokage just wanted to see me use the jutsu."

The slug nodded. "If that is all I will take my leave than."

Matsuri nodded as the slug left. Hiruzen was mildly shocked at what he had just seen. But what he saw next nearly gave him a heart attack. Naruto turned to Moegi. "Okay now show him your special attack."

Moegi nodded turning to a training post. "Lava style: Lava glob." A medium sized ball of lava hit the post melting it completely.

Hiruzen nearly had a heart attack he thought that Naruto and Haku were the only two in the village who could use sub-elements. "N-Naruto why didn't you tell me that Moegi could use lava release."

Naruto grinned. "Because you never asked."

Everyone in the area face faulted with the same thought in mind. 'only Naruto would have such a simple answer for not telling the Hokage something important.'

After recovering from both shocks Hiruzen adjusted himself before speaking. "Well it appears that the three of you know enough to defend yourself on a C-rank mission. Come to my office in a couple of minutes and I'll give you a mission." The team nodded while the Hokage left to his office.

Ten minutes later the group was standing in front of the Hokage waiting to receive their first official mission as a team. Hiruzen looked at the team. "Team Naruto your first mission is to meet up with a group of diplomats from Kumo in rice country and escort them back here understood."

The team saluted. "Hai Hokage-samma."
