Chapter 13
Agent Blake looked offended that the other SHIELD agent wasn't following his orders, but was in return actually threatening him. Blake may have a hot temper at times but he also had an analytical mind.
The thing that made him the most curious at the moment was the presence of the two teens in the situation. They really didn't seem nervous and were actively participating in this …rebellion? He had no words for what was going on. He could tell upon closer examination of the weapons that the two kids were carrying, looked more like dart guns than actual guns.
"I'm sorry," said Blake in a rather condescending tone, "You seem to be under the misconception that you can win. This is one battle, a skirmish if you will. You have no conception of the enemy you are making here."
"No you have no idea of the enemy you're making here, correction have made here. Ivan will just make you disappear. My mom will make it public, embarrassingly messy, and extremely painful or permanent, depending on how pissed she is." said Jason without inflection.
Russ however looked positively gleeful as he added, "You've heard mess with the bull, you get the horns. Mess with our mom, you get the horns, the teeth, and the hooves doing a tap dance across your entire body. Fury's gonna know what hit him and if he has an ounce of brains when she gets done, he'll leave us the fuck alone."
"Swear jar," Alex and Jason sing-songed in unison.
Russ merely smiled with his teeth bared and said, "It's worth it."
Alex takes a zip tie from Agent Cromwell and putting Blake's hands behind his back secures his wrists. Leading the new captives over to where the door to Starks private elevator is Alex's says to the air, "Chris we're ready"
"All prisoners are to be secured in the conference room on Mr. Stark's lab level." Jarvis said in his reserved tones, before the same voice said more exuberantly, "Alex, mom wants you and Benjamin to decide if we stay or go. She says we've already wasted enough time dealing with this mess." The elevator doors slid open and the agents were hustled into the oversized private elevator.
"Chris," Alex said in a concerned tone, "How angry is she?"
"Richter Scale 8.5 and that's only cause we're in mixed company. If Fury shows his face, 10.5 easy, and let's not even get started on Aunt Clara. She's already F4 and if this keeps going…lets just hope this tower is rated for F5 hurricanes, cause she's way past the tornado stage at this point."
"Gentlemen, Mr. Stark's lab," Jarvis said in his more mellow and composed tones, as the doors slid open to reveal contained chaos.
As the bound SHIELD agents were led out of the elevator Blake saw Stark and an Air Force colonel looking over the shoulders of another teen aged boy on a computer. Stark reached down as though he were about to type something onto the laptop the boy was working on when a huge wolf laying at the boys feet looks up sharply and snaps at the inventor.
"Okay, okay hands to myself, I get it, no need to get testy." Stark says quickly putting his hands behind his back.
The agents see more kids and enormous animals standing around, suddenly several teenagers male and female surrounded them and hustled them toward a conference room door. The man Alex moved toward where a redheaded woman stood and though she seemed to speak softly her voice carried or that's what Blake thought at first. Then he realized the truth, when she spoke the kids and animals alike got quieter. So that her voice carried quite clearly around the room.
Seeing Alex and the boys come in with their SHIELD agent, escorting the other agents from SHIELD. The woman merely motioned for them to head through the door marked CONFERENCE ROOM. Blake was about to make more threats and warnings when he walked through the door and nearly swallowed his tongue. There sitting on the floor, in various stated of undress and trussed up like chickens, were nearly fifty agents from SHIELD. Including the archer Hawkeye, who was made up to within an inch of his life, Assistant Director Maria Hill, and to his surprise Agent Coulson, alive and well.
"Benjamin, Yodie, and Irene have taken care of their team, Irena took out someone named "Black Widow". Which seems to have impressed Benjamin a great deal. Clara has delivered a bouncing baby boy. and the twins are coming up with their captives."
"Which of the girls is Irena, ma'am?" Coulson asked conversationally as if this woman wasn't embarrassing SHIELD.
Gabriella chuckled as she said, "Irena is the youngest of all my children, the littlest angel."
Chris called from the other room, "Ivan, Kailie, Bobby, and Nic have the lobby cleared of everyone and are on their way back up. Should we go now, Mom." Alex went back over to the elevators and worked to get the ones not in use up to the top for the animals and themselves.
The assistant was not pushing them to get in the elevator but was trying to get them to pick up the pace to get out of this building, "They're going to know something is going on when these guys don't report back in. Our job is to protect you and I have to say we did incredibly well. We've been very lucky, no injuries or casualties. Minimal maiming to the enemy and minimal be property damage, but we need to get you all out of here to maintain that…."
Benjamin came in and Warg was unceremoniously dragging a small redheaded woman by the scruff of the neck. Several of the other animals walked to the elevator and proceeded to drag several other unconscious agents to the conference room.
"Mommy, mommy, we got some, a lot actually." Yodie cried as he came barreling into the room and threw himself at Gabriella's leg. Only to be followed by his decidedly sulky looking sister.
"Irena only got one and she's being a spoiled brat about it," the boy stage-whispered to his mother.
"Am not," pouted the girl as her mother knelt to hug her, "I just want to get some more."
"Maybe another time, sweetie or if any of these nice ladies and gentlemen act out before we leave, you can… poke them." Gabriella said as she gave her littlest a one armed hug. Irena was holding up a dart as she turned back to look at the assembled agents with an unholy grin. Her eyes moving over the assembled captives for any miscreants who needed a good darting.
~X~
They had left the inventor and the pink-ribboned SHIELD agents were left in charge of the prisoners, as they headed down the elevator. As they were headed out the lobby, in walked Director Nick Fury, his trench coat swirling around his legs as he walked through the front door.
When he saw the family walking toward him and he made the mistake of showing his shock, "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Swear jar!" several of the teens yelled. Fury was a little stunned when the two smallest members of the family scuttled toward him and the little girl said, "You're it."
Suddenly he felt two pinpricks hit his legs one on either side. Then the little girl said, "Move, move, he'll land on you." she said as she shoved her brother out of the way and then yelled, "Timber!" That was the last thing that Nick Fury heard for quite a while as everything went black.
"Yeah! I got another one," Irena screeched happily as she ran back to her mother.
