Chapter 7
Amitt lunged at the high priest only seeing red. He stretched out his right paw letting the claws extend outwards in readiness. He leapt at his prey as if on the hunt, eager for the kill. Seto's eyes stayed calm, ice cold like a frozen glacier. He dodged the attack by mere inches. Amitt's claws leaving a small gash on his neck. Yami watched as Amitt with determination to finish the kill. Yami moved to intercept Amitt before it was too late. "Dark magic come forth!" Yami shouted while using part of his energy to send dark magic toward Amitt.
Amitt dodged by using his upper body of the cheetah to put on immense speed. *BOOM* One side of Kaiba's office wall displayed a huge crater due to the blast. The emergency fire alarm sounded due to the large amount of smoke. The employees did not hesitate to run for the escape routes.
Amitt hissed out of his crocodile mouth in retaliation. Amitt leaped from wall to wall trying to quickly to find an easy opening for attack. Bakura unfurled two small knives, but sadly Amitt was to fast. One of the knives only had a tear of the enemy's clothing while both protruding from a portrait against Kaiba's wall. Two of Kaiba's guards burst through the French office doors with guns raised. However; frozen in horrifying shock at what they discovered.
In confusion and fear the guards let two rounds of shots off at the creature. Amitt dodged the oncoming bullets and attacked the guards head on. Amitt let his rage unfurl as he ripped the two men to pieces. Severed limbs and blood splattered the floor by his carnage. All that was herd was the agonizing screams from the guards before their demise. While Amitt was distracted, Yami and Bakura both tried to use dark magic. Amitt sensed the energy and escaped both blasts, and used Kaiba's desk to shield the last one. Amitt quickly used his god like strength and whipped the damage desk at Bakura. *WHAM!* The desk sandwiched Bakura to the wall. He slumped to the floor in unconsciousness after the desk released from the wall. To think a mortal could take him from behind!
Kaiba tried to bind the creature by trying to cast an old Egyptian spell from his former life. Cold eyes watched Amitt while white shining rope appeared out of nowhere to grab him. Amitt just smiled evilly burning the rope and counteracting with his own godlike magic. Ammitt outstretched his paw with claws extended while his eyes burned the color of blood. Deep gashes appeared all over Kaiba as if invisible knives slashed him all over. Kaiba crumpled to the floor in his weakened state due to the excruciating pain. Before Yami could use his magic to defend his cousin within seconds Amitt appeared before him lifting him by the neck into the air. Amitt used his claws to gouge deep into his neck letting blood run down along his claws.
Rage and intent blazed through his eyes. Amitt shape shifted his head back to human form in order to speak his threatening words. "In Egypt, it is said the sun shall rise and set with the pharaoh for they are law; pronouncing the words of the gods." He let out a slow growl of hatred. "What a pathetic excuse for of a pharaoh that I have before me! Here is my word as a god- Do not forsake those who are loyal gods of man or face the consequences." With that he threw Yami with his super strength slamming him into the cough with enough force to shatter the legs that gave it support.
Rashid ran over to Yami to make sure he was still alive. Relief poured through him when Yami's pulsed underneath his fingers. Yami's eyes blinked and came fully open glancing quickly at the bathroom to make sure the lights and Ishmair were safe from harm. Yami then coldly stared back to Amitt while rising slowly on weak legs. Amitt kept a watchful on his opponents ready to strike. Yami lunged to distract while Kaiba pulled forth his Millenium rod to use his magic.
*VOOM*
A burst of magic slammed everyone even Amitt to the floor holding them there. "Enough Amitt." A human in silk white Egyptian garb materialized slamming down his double bladed staff in front of Amitt blocking him from engaging another attack. Amitt looked up in shock to see his master the son of Ra looking down at him with glowing ruby red eyes. Seeing the repressed anger in those molten depths Amitt kneeled in surrender once the magic was lifted from them.
Kaiba's eye went wide looking at his beloved with relief. He slowly moved toward him. "Jou thank goodness you stopped your pet in time! He almost took out my whole office! At least he kept his word you were safe." Weneg looked blasé at Kaiba who was bleeding at multiple wounds on his body. "Of course I am fine, high priest; I am not a weakling as you may think. Furthermore, you and your cousin shall be able to live a little longer. You are needed to help destroy the dark presence that is vastly approaching. "
Kaiba's eyebrows narrowed in confusion and carefully looked over the being before him. Gone was his modern apparel, and shown proudly was the Egyptian dressings of the past. Arm bracelets/ shackles adorned in rubies and diamonds sparkled like twinkling evening lights. His hair still blond and cut as he remembered but a small braid of hair rested upon his shoulder. The drastic change Kaiba noticed was Jou's eyes. Gone the chocolate eyes to red ones that looked like red glowing rubies. His expressions not loving or cheerful yet refine and calculating like his father.
Kaiba's heart stuttered in fear before continuing on. "Joey, why are you calling us by our past relations?" Kaiba waited to test and see if his fears were true. Weneg gave a casual side glance to Kaiba, "I know not of this Joey you speak, but I recall the time in the palace. I learned much about humans while I taught you both my game. Do not jest with me, high priest." Closing his eyes in dismissal turning his back to them in order to talk to Amitt.
Seto's eyes went wide with shock and dismay looking at Yami . Yami shook his head and shrugged in a silent message. Yami was floored and was not sure what has happened to the Joey they know and love. He would find out the sooner the better for it may change the course of this battle for the worst.
After Weneg (aka Joey) and Amitt exchanged a whispered conversation, Amitt bowed in acknowledgement. Weneg turned back to the group now with the lights, Ishatr, and Rashid joining the darks. Police sirens can be heard in the distance, knowing quite well their final destination. "Tis time you join us at MYpalace so we can all prepare for what comes. " A Smokey portal appeared out of nowhere, and not soon after did Weneg casually walk through. The portal devouring him into its darkened depths. Seto began to follow for one not being here when the cops showed up; and two to what happened with the blond.
Before he could reach the portal, Yami grabbed him in a silent warning. Seto looked over his shoulder at his cousin. "I am not going to run this time cousin. Like you said, I need to fight to win him back as my past and future lover". Pulling his elbow away from Yami to proceed through the portal devouring him whole. Yugi stood next to Yami holding tightly to his hand". I won't let my friend down, or the world. Yami we need to get our Jou back ." Yugi said in a soft but determined voice. Yami looked down at his light, "I know". Yami held tight to his light's hand as they passed through the portal. The rest of the group followed suit, while Amitt followed behind to keep a close eye on their guests.
The cops finally arrived to the office barreling through with guns drawn in anticipation to fire on the spot. Constant shouts from the officers could be heard, "Freeze! No one move!" Yet all seem to go quite looking at the carnage and damage all four walls. Live cut wires still giving off sparks, destroyed electronics tossed around the floor. The body guards blood spewn all over the walls like a modern canvas. The head officer mentally thought : What did Mr. Kaiba get into?
(Scene change)-
Once through the portal, Yami and his friends looked around in awe. A long hallway adorned in all manner of hieroglyphics panted in all colors of the color wheel of ancient Egypt. Servants passing not looking at their new guests, while getting ready for the other Egyptian guards to arrive. All stopped and bowed low to Weneg and Amitt as they walked passed. The rest of the group walked with unease.
Weneg came to a stop near multiple chamber doors". The chambers are for you all to reside. Amitt, go tell father I have returned."Amitt was taken aback and about to protest. "My Lord…" Weneg ruby eyes glowed bright "that shall be all Amitt." Amitt bowed low. He gave one last warning glare to the high priest and former pharaoh before he departed.
Yugi went up to his friend in sadness, looking at his face as if hoping some sign of Jou was still there. "Jou you know me, we are friends and will help you no matter what". Weneg's eyes slowly looked over at Yugi in a chilling silent way. "You are the pharaoh's servant of course you will help because you will abide what I ask of the pharaoh." He looked at the High priest with a stone cold face, "Once I am done with speaking to all mighty Ra, the servants will come fetch you to speak with him." Weneg turned to leave , but Seto caught at the shoulder. Weneg disloaged him, turning his double edged staff on Seto's chest leaveing a slight nick. "You were not given permission to touch your God in any way or form. Do not make that mistake again." Weneg's ruby red eyes glowed with volcanic rage.
Will there be anything to sew the rift between these two former lovers? TBC
