The Breakfast Club is 30 years old today! Happy anniversary, everyone! - mimujer

"Didn't we pick a great time to come out here, hey guys?" Travis said to his friends as they sat under the bleachers. Out on the field was a large gym class of all girls, running around in their Shermer branded sweatshirts and tight gym shorts. "Whoever decided that cutting class was so bad has obviously never been given a show like this."

"You perv," Ronnie said, slapping him on the back of his head.

John Bender took another drag from his cigarette as he watched Claire walk back over to the rest of the class. Their teacher said something, and then all the girls began to walk back inside. She didn't turn back to look at him again.

"Bender enjoyed it," Travis said, grinning up at him as he turned back to the group.

"Nah, he had his eyes on that ginger girl the whole time," Jev said.

"Oh, yeah, Bender, you picked out your next victim?" Travis teased.

"Shut up," John said, threw his cigarette on the floor and sat back down with them.

"It's okay, she was pretty hot," Jev said, and he and Travis grinned at each other. Ronnie rolled his eyes.

"Drop it already," John said, glaring at them both in turn, his nostrils flared.

"No need to get so defensive. Someone would think you actually cared," Ronnie said, patting John on his back, who shrugged his arms off.

"Well, I don't." He got up from the floor. "And I'm going back inside."

"Why? It's not lunch yet," Jev said.

"I need to get away from you idiots."

Bender didn't stay long enough to hear their reply as he began stalking towards the school building.

"That was weird," Travis said.

"He's just in a bad mood. It's Monday, after all," Ronnie said, then stubbed his cigarette out on the floor.
