The Dance

She looked so beautiful. Her smile, those beautiful amber eyes. Everything about her was just perfect. Surely she had to be a gift from the heavens above. She stood out with a dress that wrapped so perfectly to fit every curve of her body. A slim black halter dress embroiled with sliver dragons on each sides. Diamonds adorned the outlining of the dragons. She absolutely looked stunning. But all alone she stood by a one of the the large pillars of the Jade Palace watching everyone who was invited to the Winter Festival dancing with each other. This night everyone from the valley was invited to take part of the Winter Festival dance at the palace.

The panda stood from the opposite of pillars observed his female leader from afar. He could see the small smile on her features but her eyes held a hint of sadness. Only if he could find out what she was thinking about. Holding a half empty fruity beverage in one paw, taking a few sips here and there. The other members of the five were lost in the crowd of people dancing the night away. Po watched her as she grew tired of watching and ahead for the large palace doors.

Placing his glass down to a table next to him. He began to follow her, moving quickly and quietly to not bring attention to himself. Following the tiger, she had slipped in between the large doors not wanting anyone to realize her exit. Tigress who was deep in thought, walked down the path heading to the peach tree at the hilltop. Unaware of a panda in pursuit. Po could only think where could she be going as he continued to keep a safe distance away from being detected. Noticing that she stopped by the peach tree, taking a seat on a comfortable patch of grass. Po took some cover behind a big tree.

Tonight a full moon loomed in the sky just above the mountain tops giving off spectacular rays of moonlight which seem to hit the very location where Tigress was. Her fur began to shine brightly from the moon's rays, almost having a supernatural effect to it. Po hiding behind a tree watched in awe as the events unfolded. He couldn't believe his eyes at how beautiful she looked but she still had that same sadness in her eyes from before. He had to go to her and trying to find out what was wrong with her.

Slowly but silent as possible he approached her.

With Tigress was too busy with her thoughts she hadn't noticed the panda standing right beside her.

"Hey." An all too familiar voice greeted her.

She turned to see Po in an nice jet black suit with a genuine grin.

"Hey." She replied back.

"What are doing out here on a fine night like this? You should be in the Palace enjoying the festivities." Po questioned.

He watched her still gazing into the stars as if looking for an answer.

"I just needed some fresh air. You know I'm not the type for these kinds of festivities." She didn't turned to face him. She didn't want to look into his eyes, knowing those jade eyes read her like a open book.

"Sometimes it's good thing to tryout new things. Tonight is too beautiful to sit out here alone Tigress." As he too was attracted by the way stars sparkled.

She could only sighed. Po was right but this feeling she had she couldn't describe. The feeling of being out place, alone, and different bothered her.

Music from the palace filled the air as they both could hear it from the peach tree. Po listening to the song suddenly had great idea. He began whistle along with the song as he tapped his feet to the beat. Tigress immediately noticed Po's actions which a smile grew as she watched him. Then the panda started move towards her to bring out his paw for her to take it.

We get it on most every night

"Can I have this dance?" He asked.

When that moon is big and bright

Shocked by his sudden gesture, Tigress couldn't speak.

Its a supernatural delight

"S-sure why not." Stuttering out that small sentence. She blushed madly but was covered by the orange fur.

Everybody's dancing in the moonlight

Tigress took his paw into hers. She could only think to herself this panda is full of surprises.

Everybody's feeling warm and bright

Po placed a paw near her waist and the other entwined with Tigress and as she placed her free paw on his shoulder.

Its such a fine and natural sight

Together they began to gently sway to the music.

Everybody's dancing in the moonlight

A gentle breeze blew by causing the peach tree to shed some of it petals around the two as they danced. Almost as if time slowed as they looked each other in the eyes. Jade and Amber gazing into each others soul.

Its a supernatural delight

Tigress blushed a bright red as she was impressed by the panda's dancing skills. Po could only smile as he thought how beautiful Tigress looked tonight and how lucky he was to get her to dance with him.

Everybody's feeling warm and bright

They continued to dance as they both secretly wished they could stay like this forever and never let go.
