Bolt suddenly shook awake. The plane was dark. He heard snoring all around him. It took a little bit until he realized they napped under the seat until it was night time. The plane was still going smoothly. He looked around the cabin and saw the passengers, a few slept perfectly in their seats, others had their heads hanging off the seat (One of which being Penny). Then the rest were literally hanging off their seat and every once in a while a stewardess would put them back up. He chuckled at the sight. He looked around some more and saw a bag with gloves hanging out of it.

Bolt chuckled.

"Gloves…" He mumbled sleepily. Then he chuckled again. "mittens." He shook his head and grew wide eyed.

'Mittens!' He thought. He looked around, and there she was, curled up right next to him. She rested her head on his back. He smiled at her, even though she was asleep… or seemed asleep. That was when a loud growl rang out. Bolt panicked for a second and glanced around the cabin. He turned to Mittens, she still had her eyes closed but her paws were on her stomach area.

Bolt became worried.

"Psst. Mittens?" He whispered in her ear. "Mittens are you okay?"

She slowly lifted her head. She opened her eyes and revealed tears. Bolt now became really worried. She spoke in a crushed voice.

"I- It's becoming worse, I feel horrible." She gasped. She whimpered as Bolt suddenly leaned in. She was frightened at first at his approach.

Bolt just out of nowhere began to nuzzle her, in an attempt to make cheer her up. She smiled faintly, then gripped her stomach.

"Oh….." She groaned. Bolt realized this was no motion sickness, plus the plane hadn't had turbulence yet. Mittens was really coming down with something but what? These thoughts rolled around in Bolt's mind. He had no idea what to do. He tried to think, then he heard coughing.

Mittens had turned away from Bolt and coughed then, gagged. Soon afterwards, she had thrown up on the floor. The smell was not delayed. It was horrid, then Bolt got up and walked down the aisle. Mittens turned just in time to see him walk off. She couldn't help but collapse in a crying heap, thinking Bolt abandoned her. He soon, however, came back with a wad of napkins in his mouth. Mittens smiled at him. First he used one napkin to dry her eyes. Then cleaned up the puddle behind them. He put the remaining napkins down in a pile nearby.

"Are you okay, Mitts?" He asked. She nodded and smiled at him. Bolt lay back down right next to Mittens. She did the same, and leaned and even cuddled with the white shepherd. He soon did the unexpected, yet again, he licked the top of her head. They both blushed very deeply. Then Mittens returned the favor. Bolt then yawned.

"If you need anything, feel worse, or just need to talk, wake me up. I don't care even if I have to stay up all night." He said.

Mittens smiled at him as he laid his head down.

"Goodnight." He said before dozing off again.

Mittens waited a moment for to confirm he was asleep. She lowered her head to the floor and closed her eyes. Then she whispered.

"That's why I love you, wags…"

"Because you care for me, even when I'm sick. Goodnight, I love you." She finished before snoring off to sleep.

Bolt's tail, little to his knowing, was wagging. He then whispered to himself.

"I love you, too."

Then the two scooted just a little more closer to one another.

The End.
