(Milton's P. O. V.)
We raced through the forest, scanning the sky for Aurora. I ran a little faster then the rest of the others.
"Aurora!" Kim yelled. "Don't die before I get the chance to kill you!" We stopped, and all eyes were on Kim.
"What? I'm still mad at her," she said. We all rolled our eyes, and began running again. I saw something blowing in the wind. It danced back and forth, before landing on my arm. I starred at the large feather. It was thick, brown, and longer than my finger.
"What is it Milton?" Eddie asked.
"Golden eagle," I said.
"Golden Eagles!" Kim yelled. "Aurora is terrified of those!" Kim started walking in circles, yelling at herself.
"I should have protected her! It's my job! Now she might get eaten and it's all my fault! Why!" Kim started to break down and cry. I placed my hand on her shoulder.
"Hey, hey! It's okay, we'll find her, I promise." I said. Deep down I knew I was lying. Golden eagles are massive birds that were used to kill wolves. Wolves!
But my words of encouragement seemed to get through to her a little, as she nodded, and stopped crying. She closed her eyes, and tilted her head to the sky. Jack walked up behind me, and gave me a confused look, that says 'What is doing?' I shrugged. A small smile crept onto her face.
"She's okay. This way!" Kim said, pointing strait ahead. We all followed her, walking this time, until we reached a giant tree. The biggest one in the area probably, and it was fluttering with life. Birds hopped from one branch to the other, singing joyfully. A jolt of what felt like electricity went through my body, which was odd. I've never had that happen before.
"Aurora! Are you up there?" Kim yelled. A little head poked out from a hole in the tree.
"Kim!" She yelled back. "Hold on a second!"
The little head went back inside the hole. Suddenly, two giant black wings were seen coming out of the hole in the tree, carrying Aurora in it's talons. I gasped in awe as what I can now make out as a bald eagle swooped down from the tree, and dropped Aurora just above Kim's head. It then landed in a low branch.
Aurora dropped into Kim's arms, and Kim held her close.
"You scared me to death Aurora!" She said.
"Sorry Kim." Aurora laughed. We all looked back up at the eagle.
"Who's your friend?" Jack asked.
"Oh, her name is Liberty. She checks on animals and makes sure they are okay. A doctor, if you will." She said.
The bird bowed to us, as a sign of respect. I cocked my head.
"It understands us?" I asked. Aurora nodded. Liberty kept her intense eyes trained on me, making me a little uneasy. She lifted off spreading her beautiful wings, she started to fly off, when boom! I saw something wiz through the air. A bullet. A screech was heard from the eagle before it fell down to the earth.
A. N.: I guess I have some explaining to do about why I haven't updated for such a long time. Well, the truth is I am just not that into Kickin it as I used to be. They didn't air any episodes for such a long time, and I just got board of watching reruns. In fact, I didn't even watch the last couple ones. I think I am going to watch the last two though. My updates are going to be a little all over the place for now. Sorry. Thank you for reading! Bye!
