'Mistress Bei, wake up. Something is approaching.'

"Nngh... Kaelyn... it's probably... just... Casten..." Bei yawned, rolling over and refusing to listen.

'It cannot be.'

"Hmmm..."

'You left Casten a few days ago, did you not? I am absolutely positive this being is not Casten—Mistress Bei. Bei! Wake up now! It is that espeon—Neptune—from those few days ago!' Kaelyn sounded high and alert, and Bei's eyes snapped open, and she shot into a ready-to-pounce position.

Growling, she yelled, "Come out here, you little bitch! You wanna fight? I'll give you fights!"

The espeon stepped out, looking pleasantly surprised. The jewel on her forehead sparkled with the sunlight streaming in from the gaps in the leaves, making it seem enchanting, but Bei was not in the mood to be enchanted. Every stride the espeon took got her closer to Bei, and closer... until they were just two feet apart. It raised so many red flags.

Her first instinct was to attack. There was no excuse for Neptune to waltz in and expect to have a nice, long chat with tea to go along with it. The lilac-furred fox simply smiled and stood there, looking accomplished with herself.

Wait...

"You—how did you find me?" Bei demanded, electricity around her crackling.

"Oh?" Neptune raised a brow. "See, your friend told us everything about you. The fact that you're a robot, what happened with Rosetta, a certain pyroar, everything he knows about you. It's only certain he'd know where you'd go."

It pissed her off—Casten told them everything about her? Why? Bei narrowed her eyes suspiciously, never moving from her position. The espeon was dangerous, no doubt, but would it be clever to jump? Or wait there and let Neptune talk?

Perhaps getting some answers would solve Bei's questions. The raichu nodded inwardly. Yes, that was a good idea. She always had her guard up, though—she couldn't be taken advantage of.

"Why did Casten tell you all those things?" the raichu demanded. Good topic to start off with, she decided.

"Because, honey..." Neptune frowned, but it was replaced with a bright smile, "...he decided to aid us."

Bei couldn't begin to describe how betrayed she felt. She hated him—she did—she did, so—why the betrayed, indignant feeling? She didn't understand it herself.

"He... decided... to... aid... you?" Bei repeated slowly, not noticing her electricity production had stopped altogether, eyes wide with utter disbelief.

His aid to them is like a stab in the heart to me—

"Of course." Neptune smiled charmingly. "It took a while, but he finally understands where the greater good lies, and where triumph would reign."

Completely taken off-guard, Neptune shot a ferocious psychic to the raichu. At the last second, Bei released a thunderbolt in the espeon's direction, and they were both hit—Bei was smashed against the tree and Neptune crackled to the ground.

Hah...

Neptune smirked. She liked a good fight.

"Obviously, triumph follows me. It's rather clever of him to team up with us, of course, since we're going to win against you. We just need to get you in our hands, Bei. We can come to an agreement."

"An agreement? What is it, huh? 'Commit suicide'? Go fuck yourself. I'll never entertain assholes like you." Bei stuck out her tongue for good measure.

A simple laugh was her reply. "No, not suicide. Something... a lot less heavy than that. It's rather simple a task."

"Oh? If it's simple, I don't mind listening."

Seeming pleased they had both understood the situation, Neptune sat down, licking against her burnt fur. Bei had already recovered from smashing into the tree and was glaring daggers and knives and spears and swords at the espeon.

The clearing they were in was small—a bit too small. Bei would like it if they were more spaced out. Being around Neptune disgusted her.

"Leave."

Bei blinked. "Um?"

"Simply, leave the forest," Neptune explained. "Don't come back here. Head to the village Rosetta is in and stay there. We have plans for you there. You might not like it, but would you prefer your life taken away?"

"Yes."

Blinked. "Pardon?"

The raichu scoffed, crackling with sparks once again. "I meant I'd rather die than help you with your plans, jerk."

Before anything else could react, a thunder was sent in Neptune's direction, and Bei only heard a horrified scream before shielding her eyes from the blinding light. Whoops, that thunder was a little too powered. Not that it mattered...

She still had some words to say to Neptune.

When the light disappeared and the smoke dissipated, Bei glared down at the heavily-injured espeon. "Just so you know, I don't believe any bullcrap about Casten joining you," she said stiffly. "We may hate each other, but he's not stupid."

"H... Ha! H-Hypocrite..." Neptune wheezed. "You... ha-hate him..."

"I don't, really. I'm a robot, remember, dumbass?" Neptune stared at Bei in disbelief—for something to be revealed so simply, and not to Casten..? "And... even if he still hates me... I'll make sure you assholes aren't... like, bullying him!"

"Y-You..."

"So I'm going to your little hideout." Bei smirked.

Did she know where it was? No. But she'd find it because she was Bei.

She was fucking B59. A robot. For real.

'Do you know where they're located?'

"Like I give a shit... I'll just go where my instincts take me!" Bei shot down a dirt path, breeze ruffling her fur. She never felt so... wild... and free before. And longing.

...Could she do it?

...

She was B59, Bei—of course she could fucking do it!
