The question is; why?
Elsa and him were in Elsa's royal carriage, heading to Arendelle. Just to be honest, Luhan is a little afraid people would recognize him. For once again in thousand times, he regrets that he put his revenge to humans.
"Are you sure no one will recognize me?" He asked the Queen. Elsa gave him a little smile, "Don't worry about it.. you'll be fine."
But that sentence doesn't effect at him at all. In fact, his heart pace increased at the moment the carriage stopped. Which means they reached their destination.
Not different with Luhan, Elsa was nervous as well. Deep inside her heart, she was hoping that nobody would recognize this angel, hoping that her family could befriends with him.
"Welcome back, your highness." One of her maids gave Elsa a bow. "Has Anna asleep yet?"
"She's having a chat with Prince Kristoff in the family room."
Elsa smiled to the maid, "thank you."
"Honey.. let's get some sleep.." Kristoff sighed worriedly, staring at Anna who's walking back and forth.
"No! I want to meet that guest first."
"Why can't we meet him in the morning? Beside, don't you think it's tiring walking like that? With a baby inside your stomach?"
"Kristoff, i-" Anna cutted her words when she saw a familiar figure stood in front of her, "Elsa!"
The Queen put up a smile. "So, where is-" Once again Anna's sentence was cutted at the moment she saw another figure. "Hello there. You must be Luhan."
Luhan gave her a bow, "It's nice to meet you, your highness."
As Luhan and Anna were having a chat, Kristoff kept watching them silently. With his eyebrows furrowed, he found it's odd to recognize to so-this-called Luhan's face. He never met him before, he didn't even know his name. Well.. until Anna mentioned it. His voice, his face, his gesture. Kristoff felt he'd met Luhan before.
But who? When?
And that's not all. Kristoff also had this strange feeling in his guts when he saw Luhan. Which reminded him with something he wasn't sure about. But he knew it's not a good thing.
Anna told one of her maids to take Luhan to a guest room.
"Well.." Anna leaned closer to Elsa, "He doesn't look like a 'murderer' to me though.."
Elsa chuckled, "We'll talk about this later." She said as she left the room.
"So," Anna turned at Kristoff, "Shall we sleep?"
oOo
"Anna.." Kristoff called in the middle of their conversation. They were on their way to their room.
"Yeah?"
"That Luhan guy.. he only stay for a night, right?"
Anna shrugged, "Probably.. why?"
The prince scratched his head, "I don't know.. i'm not really sure about that guy.."
Anna looked at Kristoff, a soft smile was formed on her lips when she seen anxious that shown on her husband's face. "Neither do i.. i'm a little worried since Elsa just took care him without hesitating just because he fell at this palace.. but.." She squeezed his hand, "I'm sure he's fine, don't worry."
oOo
It's not every night Kristoff would had a dream. But in this dream, he found himself as a 7-year-old boy again. Standing right at the front of his old house. His old wooden house which was built at the edge of the forest. The autumn breeze that whistled through the windchime that hung right at his door. He then realized how much he misses this house.
"Father!" He exclaimed happily as he saw his father few steps away. Kristoff was about to run to him, but his smile faded when a sharp iron material jutted through his father's shirt. The little boy's eyes widened seeing his father stood there frozen, blood pouring out of his chest. Kristoff was more terrified when he sees a figure right behind his father, with a pair of deadly eyes, looking at him in disgust.
Struggling hard to breathe, his father looked at Kristoff, "Run."
With a loud cry, Kristoff opened his eyes. Beads of cold sweat were running down his forehead. He got up as he eyed around the place. His heartbeat went back to its normal pace, knowing he's in his room.
He inhaled the oxygen deeply, trying to keep in his mind that it was just a dream. But the dream was very realistic. As if he went to his past just to see that tragedy again.
Even at the dining table, where he eats breakfast with his family. He can see that dream clearly in his mind. Because it wasn't just a dream. It was his true miserable past. His mother passed away after giving him birth. And his father was killed by a murderer which no one knows his name. So many years he tried to forget that painful memory. But now, when he already forgotten, it suddenly came back, Haunting his mind.
Kristoff took a glance at Luhan, who's eating next to Anna. As he studied the angel's face, he felt like he found a missing piece of a puzzle.
No, it can't be. He tried to convinced himself. He looked away and went back digging his food.
"So, Luhan. How about i give you a tour around this castle?" Anna asked in the middle of conversation.
"I don't think it's necessary, Princess Anna. It would make you feel burden-"
"Psh, burden? It's totally fine. Nah.. this pregnant woman isn't as weak as she seems, you know." Anna smiled as she rubbed her stomach. Luhan glanced at Elsa, as a sign of asking for permission. The Queen chuckled, "go ahead."
Anna stood up and grabbed Luhan's arm, "Come, this way."
"Okay.. where should we go first.. ah! How about the ballroom-eh, no. First is music room, yeah! there are so many musical instruments there and, oh i know you will like that room! And.."
Elsa let out a low chuckle, "Anna is sure enthusiastic about Luhan."
"Yeah.." Kristoff agreed.

In the afternoon, Kristoff decided to go outside. Probably doing his ice business. After going throughout this exhausting day, inhaling cold air from the north mountain would refresh his mind.
He marched downstairs, and walking through plenty of rooms he doesn't really know the actual use of those rooms. And he didn't really care until he saw one room which its door was opened..
Meanwhile, Luhan was in that room. He decided to take a rest for awhile. The Angel took off his cloak and put it to the cloth hanger. Just when he was about to lay down, he felt a strong grip on the collar of his cloth as he felt himself being slammed on the wall.
"IT WAS YOU!" Later then Luhan knew it was Kristoff. The prince was looking at him with full of anger.
"Your highness-"
"Don't try to hide it, Luhan! I knew it was you!"
"Prince Kristoff, i don't know what you're talk-"
Kristoff's fist hit Luhan directly on his face before Luhan could finish his words.
"Don't try to act innocent. I know what you are." Kristoff threw Luhan until he fell to the floor. Luhan was astonished. He doesn't know why Kristoff attacked him like that.
"Kristoff!" Fortunately, Elsa and Anna saw the fight and immediately came to them. Anna stopped his fist from hitting Luhan as Elsa protects the Angel.
"What is wrong with you, Kristoff?!" Said Anna.
"That creature is the one who killed my father!"
The Angel studied Kristoff's face, he doesn't really remember the whole scene, but he does remember Kristoff's face. The terrified little kid who just saw his father being killed. Luhan is speechless, he never been in this situation before.
Anna sighed, "come on, we need to talk.." she took Kristoff's arm and led him off the room.
Elsa looked at Luhan who just sat at the floor silently. "Is it true?"
Luhan didn't dare to meet her eyes, he exhaled in regrets, "Yes.."
"Well.." The Queen sighed, "it's his right to be mad at you. His mother had passed away when she gave him birth. And you killed his father when he doesn't had anymore person to rely on. He'd been struggle to live alone eversince."
"I've been blinded by greed that time. I spent too much time just to avenge myself i didn't even realize i killed the innocent ones as well.." Luhan hugged his knees, his eyes were staring at one point as if he's looking back at his past. "I wish i'd realise it sooner."
Elsa knelt next to him, "It's never been too late to apologize.."
"I won't apologize."
"Why?"
"Because what i did to Kristoff is cannot be forgiven." The One-Winged-Angel covered his face with his hands, "I'm a disgrace to my family. I don't deserve your help. I don't-"
"Hey," Elsa put her hand on his shoulder. "Don't be like that. You saved me, remember? I would've die if you didn't take me away from that branch. And with that i owe you my life."
"Sure, Kristoff would probably never forgive you. And you can't bring back the lives of people you had taken away. But remember this." Eventually, Luhan looked at her after she said that.
"You saved me and that's a good start. Hiding under the shadows is not a choice. You have to prove yourself that you're not a danger to human being." Elsa managed a comforting smile, "if you take it step by step. I believe you'll be able to make it."
oOo
In another room, Anna was explaining everything she knew about Luhan.
Kristoff sighed when she's done. "He killed my father. Why would i forgive him?"
"But is it necessary to beat him-"
"Well, he is worth to get beaten!"
"Kristoff, you are a prince." Anna emphasized her sentence. "You need to control your temper. I know Luhan is guilty. But at least try to understand, Kristoff. Luhan wants to clear his name as a 'murderer'."
After a moment of thinking, The prince sighed, "I'm just afraid he would take away my family's lives.. i just can't let that happen again."
Anna smiled and cupped his face, "He's trying to be good, honey.. he won't cause anymore problems." She gave him a light kiss, "I promise."
Although anxious was shown on his face, Kristoff managed a smile. Anna is right. He had to give Luhan some time to realise his mistakes. Even though he didn't really know will he forgive that creature or not.
