Chapter 7
It was already dark when we decided to head off. Shikamaru was having his last 10 minute talk alone with Temari. I've already talk to Gaara about my plan earlier and he said he'll think about it.

"But this is more appropriate than Shikamaru doing this stupidity again, right? And Tsunade-sama would really love to help. Temari's transfer wouldn't be that hard." he thought for a second when Hinata said,
"Temari-chan needs to pretend that she has a difficult infection and she needs Tsunade-sama to check on her, right?" I nodded. "But then Ten-chan, the council isn't that stupid, they would send someone to validate if the infection is true. And if they realize that Temari-chan has no infection at all, our plan will fail." Hinata said. Well, that is true. I didn't think about that. I paused for a second. Gaaahh… I should have told Hinata first instead of running off to the Kazekage's office and disturbing him on his paper works. Argg... This is so embarrassing.
"How about we transfer Kankuro who really needs the Hokage's medical skills and have him escorted by Temari?" Gaara suggested, Hinata lighten up and I smiled at him.
"You are one hell of a smart ass, Gaara." and thumbs up him. Houki didn't like my retort but then I think he just turn a blind eye off it.
"Anything for my siblings." he said it with no emotions but I know that deep down he's happy or grateful for all of the effort. "I'll just think more about it and ask for Tsunade-sama's approval."
"Please do so." we bowed and said our goodbyes for we would also be leaving.
"Thank you so much for visiting my sister." Gaara stood up and rounded his table. "I will certainly repay you for being so kind." he bowed and we smiled at him.
"You don't have to do that, Gaara, we're all friends after all."
"Be safe on your journey."
"Hai." we answer in unison.
After we said our goodbyes to Temari, Houki showed us out the passage again. We thank him for being so kind and not killing Shikamaru.

"Sorry." Houki said. Shikamaru tapped him on the shoulder.

"That's good. We're a bit far but at least we're on Konoha grounds." it's almost 2 hours since we left Suna. We're silent most of the time, Hinata just breaking the ice whenever she would be deactivating her byakugan.
"I'll be deactivating my byakugan." it's a lot better with eyes that can penetrate through distance, you'll see if there's someone near you but it will drain your chakra. I looked ahead of us. Just a little bit and I would be seeing Neji again. I was filled with anticipation that I didn't saw the next tree branch that I leapt on. I saw Shikamaru and Hinata being led to the ground by two ninjas in an anbu masks, their hands on their back. I think it was all tied with chakra ropes too. I can't clearly see through these dark surroundings. So all I can do now is guess. Dammit. What is happening? I was facing the two of them when I heard someone walking towards me in the dark.
"We're here to take you three. We're send by the council." the man said. He rounded me so that he is in front of me. As he appears, I can see he's also wearing an anbu mask but it was a half mask that I can see only his mouth and he's wickedly smiling at me. Shit. This is really bad. I looked at Hinata. She's in panic. Shikamaru is looking impassive and calm. Damn. He has to think of something. I can't do anything with my hands tied like this. That's when it hit me.
"You're following us since we left Suna." they knew that Hinata was deactivating her byakugan five minutes every hour and the branch was a trap. To move our attention to the sudden danger, they used the branch to trap us. They knew we're coming and they plan all of this to ensure we won't be resisting. I saw him widening his smile more.
"You're wrong. We're following you since this morning." they've maintain their distance beyond Hinata's byakugan and when they had the chance, they attacked. Fuck.
"There's nothing we can do." I heard Tsunade-sama saying this to us earlier and it's so true, there's nothing we can do.

"Well, if you do something next time, I won't allow Ten-ten to get involved. That was insanely dangerous." Neji said. I looked at him but he's not looking at me, he's looking straight ahead. What was he thinking? As I was looking at him, my peripheral vision caught Hinata and Naruto silently walking behind us. I looked at Hinata questioningly, she catch my eye and wave her hands in front of her. It means she's okay and that I should not worry. She's smiling but I can see she's kinda upset. I looked at Naruto. He's looking ahead and unusually quiet. I guess they do have problems but I don't need to drag my ass up their noses.
"I guess I leave them be." I whispered and tighten my hold on Neji's waist.
"What?" he asked.
