October 14th

33rd year of the Sandaime Hokage

Waking up to the smell of freshly fried vegetables and rice, Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other before throwing cloths on and rushing into the kitchen. Sasuke so he could get the best seat, and Naruto to make sure this wasn't some twisted dream. As both boys slid to a stop just outside the dining room door, Fugaku looked up from the morning newspaper and shot the two an amused look, making Sasuke and Naruto smile sheepishly at their antics.

Motioning them to come sit down, Fugaku went back to his paper, drowning out their small chater about how great it was to have a sleep over. Mikoto looked over her shoulder and into the dinning room, flashing the three males a smile a she quickly went back to finishing up breakfast. Breakfast consisted of a dozen eggs, over medium, a dozen and a half pieces of bacon, and several pieces of toast and a pitcher of orange juice. There was also a large dish filled with an arrangement of fried vegetables ranging from broccoli to cucumbers and squash.

The two boys looked like they would just devour the whole ensable whole if not for the look that Fugaku shot them- a look that said 'Try it I dare you...' with the promise of pain afterward.

"That smells delicious Haha!" Sasuke shouted as he and Naruto almost vibrated of their cushions and onto the hard floor in excitement. Sasuke was excited that he was going to have breakfast with his parents AND his new best friend... And Naruto was excited because he was going to be sharing a meal with his new best friend and his family... Something he hadn't even done with Tenten. Needless to say, the boys were ecstatic they had met each other- much to Mikoto's pleasure and Fugaku's amusment.

"Alright Naruto-ko, Sasuke-ko, settle down, breakfast is served!" Mikoto exclaimed as she carried in a large platter with all the food and side dishes on it.

"That's a rather new style for you Miko-chan," Fugaku said with widened eyes as he eyed the foreign looking dishes arrayed in front of him.

"Hai, Terumi-chan showed me how to make these," she pointed to the bacon and eggs, "Those aare just regular eggs fried on the skillet in the kitchen, and those are apart of a cut from a pig- Terumi called it bacon.. And the food of the gods... Don't know why I haven't tried it yet..." Mikoto said as she laughed embarrassingly at her lack of food tasting.

"Sounds... interesting Miko-chan... Well, lets eat, itadakimasu!" Fugaku solomnly said as the two young boys cried out and dove into the food laid out before them. Quickly eating up the eggs, Naruto and Sasuke looked at the assortment of Vegetable with raised brows- neither knowing what exactly to do with the odd looking produce.

"Hmm, Naru-kun, lets each grab a couple and try'em out... They look good at least..." Sasuke remarked as he glanced at his blonde friend.

"Hmm, hai, that sounds good to me!" Naruto loudly cried as he reached over and picked out a few broccoli, yellow squash, eggplant, cucumber slices, and a chunk of roasted pumpkin. Neither boy had yet to touch their bacon- much to Fugaku's amusement. Sasuke then grabbed a few bunches of asparagus, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and a few carrots.

AS the two boys quickly devoured the fried and roasted bits of food... One thing could be said... The boys were in love with fired vegetables! Naruto almost went off spouting something about them being the decedents of Ramen and a whole slew of other things concerning the delicious food they had eaten. Though, when it came to the bacon... The two boys looked at it like it was from outer space.

"Hm, Sasu-kun... Should we eat it?" Naruto said as he looked to his friend sitting next to him, whom was now sporting a metal strainer atop his head. Naruto was now also sporting a large sauce pan atop his head as well, making the two children look like military rejects- much to the amusement of Fugaku and Mikoto.

"Um, I think we should come up with a plan of attack first..." Sasuke motioned towards the large plate of Bacon, to this both parents chuckled at the childrens antics.

"Hai, I'll go grab a cookie sheet- we can use it as a shield while you grab one of those slices with a prong!" Naruto excitedly said as he dived across the room and into the kitchen, again surprising the parents of Sasuke with his abilities and antics. Quickly coming back, Naruto now held a large thirteen by ten cookie sheet in one hand and a long skewer in the other. "Here ya go Sasuke-kun!" The boy handed over the prong gently, not wanting to 'spook the Bacon' as he would say.

"Alright Naru-kun... Operation 'Grab the Bacon' is a go... Shields up!" With that, Naruto raised the cookie sheet and let Sasuke get behind it, using it like a bunker. The two boys then slowly slid th3e skewer out and inched it towards the bacon- not wanting to spook it away.

When close enough, Sasuke lunged with the skewer and punctured a good handful of them onto his makeshift spear. Quickly reeling it back in the two boys pulled the bacon off the skewer and eyed it with extreme suspicion. Each boy then slowly, though surely, raised a piece of bacon to their lips, right before taking a bit of it and freezing.

Both Fugaku and Mikoto eyed the boys with interested and amused stares as the two boys looked to each other and flashed on of the biggest grins either parent had ever seen.

"MORE!" Was their only indication before the two boys dove for the platter and almost devoured it whole... Platter included...

"Slowdown! By Kami-Sama, you'll just choke going that fast!" Mikoto screeched as she looked on in horror as the two boys became ravenous monsters attacking the bacon. Slowing down, both boys shot Mikoto a sheepish bacon filled smile. Swallowing their food, they shot Mikoto and Fugaku an apologetic look, both boy scratching the backs of their heads in embarrassment.

"Sorry Okaasan!/Sorry Haha!" The boys said sheepishly as they quickly excused themselves to go clean up- Fugaku and Mikoto only laughed subtly and went about cleaning up the mess.

An hour later we find our merry bunch walking down one of the many streets of the Uchiha compound as they went looking for an open house for Naruto to stay in- none of them even looked at the condemned ones, not wanting to renovate and such. Strolling along, and somehow picking up Ichirou, Jirou, Nami and a few others, we see everyone stop at a small homestead. The building has only one floor; a front entrance leading into a small greeting area that spilt off with three doors sitting towards the far end. The one on the left led to the dinning room and kitchen, while the one on the left led to a small family room and a door leading to a small library/office like room. The one leading directly back housed the homes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Out back of the house was a small well that could be used for drawing water for cleaning clothing or watering the various plants that grew there.

"What do you think of this place Naruto-san, look good enough to live in?" Fugaku asked as he finished the tour of the house by leading the group out the side door through the kitchen and onto the patio.

"It's... It's more than I could ever ask for Otou-san... It's beautiful..." Naruto said as he quickly embraced the Uchiha clan head, surprising everyone present, though mostly Mikoto and Sasuke. Fugaku quickly got over his shock and patted the young boy on his head... Though he was not prepared for whne everyone else, excluding Mikoto, rushed over and embraced the older man and Naruto in a group hug.

"YAY! Naruto-oniisan gets to stay!" Mai shouted, her was now somehow sitting on top of Naruto's shoulders, even though none could even remember having seen her get up there. Mikoto and Sasuke only looked on with a sense of awe and admiration for their extended family, that is before Sasuke jumped in and tackled the blonde to the ground with a hug.

"Can't... breath... Sasuke-kun..." Naruto choked out as he tapped the back of Sasuke's back to try and get the boy to loosen up.

"Sorry!" Sasuke said before tightening the hug and letting go, flushing slightly in embarrassment.

"That's fine Sasuke-kun! Now, lets play!" Naruto cried out in joy, before looking at the happy faces of Mikoto and Fugaku, the later of which was trying to hid his amusement. "Otousan, Okaasan, Would you like to join us? We were going to play ninja again!" Naruto asked, giving both of them a quizitive look.

"Hmm, I would Naruto-san... But I have clan duties to attend too..." The Uchiha Head stated with a slight frown, not really wanting to deal with his constituents today.

"I would love too as well Naruto-chan... But I have to go into town, I have many errands I need to catchup on... I'm sorry- But I think Itachi is coming back some time soon, maybe you and Sasuke-chan could get him to play with you all?" Mikoto suggested, not wanting to leave but knowing that it was a necessity. Especially after hearing what exactly the kids had gotten into the last time they played Ninja... Needless to say it was one of the more serious games she had seen the little kids around the Uchiha compound play.

"Alright Okaasan, Otousan, We'll catchup to you both later!" Naruto exuberantly said as he ran off, leaving the two parents to look on in amusement.

"What a strange boy... Wouldn't you say Otto-kun?" Mikoto asked her husband, a smile present on her lips as she leaned into his shoulder.

"Yes Tsuma-kun... A ball of endless energy that one... I just hope that the clan elders don't make too much of a fuse when I tell them that he IS staying here," Fugaku said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and gave her a reassuring hug, letting her know that he would not let the council bully him over on this.

"Hokage-same... I have a report," a man with a dog like mask said as he suddenly appeared in front of the Sandaime's desk, his body down in a prostrait position as he awaited his leaders orders.

"There is no need to kneel before me Inu-san... Now, Anbu, Report!" Hiruzen Saurtoby ordered with a slight tone of authority, though it was not needed- seeing as all those in his office would jump at any given order.

"Sir, Uzunaki-san has been taken in by the Uchiha... More specifically Fugaku-san, and Mikoto-san... Though they do not seem to be trying to adopt him Hokage-sama... But it does seem that Naruto-kun and many of the Uchiha children have become quite the best of friends..." Inu said as he held the Hokage's gaze, not wavering in the slightest een behind his mask.

"Really now? Please, explain what you mean Inu-san," Hiruzen stated, his interest in his adoptive grandson soaring with the news of said person gaining many new friends.

"Yes, Hokage-sama, It seems that Naruto-kun first met Mikoto-san and Uchiha Sasuke at an eater over by Jirou street- better known as 'Jirou's Delight'. There Sasuke-san and Naruto-kun bonded in a sense and became friends. From there Mikoto-san invited the boy to the compound- with Sasuke-san's incistence... Once there the boys talked and journeyed to one of the other houses... Where Naruto-kun was pounced on by a veritable horde of Uchiha children and toddlers... Needless to say, the younger generation of Uchiha children love him, I even caught many of them referring to him as oniisan, among other endearing remarks. From there I saw one of the craziest things any of us could ever imagine..." Ino said as he began to chuckle from the memories, making all the other Anbu and Hokage look at him in interest. Each of them had never seen Inu-san actually find anything funny in many years- unless it was perverted or down right disgusting.

"What would that be Inu-san?" Hiruzen asked the dog masked Anbu.

"Well Hokage-sama, they played a game of 'king-of-the-hill'. Naruto-kun and Sasuke-san were battling for dominance, that is until a few of the Uchiha's coisins grabbed him and Naruto and let a little girl, by the name of Uchiha Mai, win the game. There in she declared herself 'Queen'... then the funniest thing I'd ever seen happened... The whole thing evolved into a massive game of Ninja, with Naruto-kun, Sasuke-san, and two of his cousins stayed on Mai-san's team. From there the game evolved into a three way war when a boy by the name Uchiha kaze joined the game with about fifteen of his cousins on his team. They called themselves the 'Liberators of Uchi'... I almost died laughing. Mai-san and the other teams leader, a boy named Uchiha Shin, whom both had declared the titles Shodai and Nidaime Uchikage respectively..." Inu laughed as he tried to control his humor at the hilarious expression on the Hokage's face, it was very hard not to laugh. The Hokage was looking at his Anbu with a horror struck visage as he though of what could have happened if the Anbu had taken drastic measures with what he had seen- though he was eternally grateful that Naruto was there and able to make it all but a game to the Anbu that were present.

"After that, Naruto-kun, Sasuke-san, and one of the boys cousins went off to find the so-called 'Savior of Uchi'. This was where they were found by Fugaku-san and told to explain everything that had been happening- seeing as the clan head had gotten some complaints about a massive ruckus overtaking his compound. The kids then told him what exactly was going on, and how thye had devised a way to mimic Jutsu to an extent by using mud as the effect... I was rather surprised by the ingenuity really. Durring their explanation they had seen what they were looking for and went in for an ambush... One tha I personally would have used in a similar situation... And they executed it perfectly," Inu said as he shed a small tear in pride of his wayward younger brother figure. The rest of the beings present just sweatdropped at the whole thing, but they kept listening, not wanting no miss a thing.

"That sounds... Interesting Inu-san, would you care to explain how they had taken out their target?" Hiruzen asked as he took a puff from his now lit pipe.

"Yes Hokage-sama. They had seen their target, one Uchiha Kaze, walking down one of the many streets towards the outer wall, where he would be making a turn to go down the next street. So, the three boys split off. Naruto took the far side of the street, there he hid in a bush with a large amount of mud in a thermos. The two Uchiha boys took to the near side of the street, also hiding in a bush as their target came closer. Watching all this, Fugaku-san stood off to the side, letting everything take place without any input from him what-so-ever." Taking a moment to catch his breath, Inu continued. "As the group rounded the corner, they came by where Fugaku-san was standing, passing him by when he didn't say anything to get their attention. It was then, once they were far enough away from Fugaku-san that Naruto-kun and his friends sprung their trap... Naruto came out with his thermos open, splashing a good portion of the kids with his mud attack. Moments later Sasuke-san and his cousin came rushing out, unleashing their own mud. They then laid into the group of boys, tagging them many times each until Sasuke-san got behind the Kaze boy and dumped his container of mud all over the childs head." Inu said with what could only be pride etching his voice. "Hokage-sama, they were able to take on roughly ten boys almost twice their age, eliminating their target, and then living to tell the tale- not getting tagged or hit with mud that is."

Finishing his story, Everyone in the room was speechless, the hokage was gobsmacked, the Anbu were gobsmacked, hell; the secretary that opened the door to let the Hokage know his morning appointment was here... Was gobsmacked...

"Inu-san, that is quite the tale... And I do believe that there is more you wish to tell us, isn't there? Oh and Mina-san, let Takashi know it will just be a minute," The Hokage stated as he looked to the Secretary.

"Yes, Kage-sama, Instead of asking Naruto-kun if he wished to be adopted, Fugaku-san has let the boy claim a house in the Uchiha compound- along with the fact that the Uchiha clan head also let the boy spend the night at his own residency with his wife and son... I would like to indicate that this is unprecedented, and that it is good for the boys mental, and physical, health," Inu stated with a bow, ending his report.

"You may leave Inu-san, but please, keep an eye out for Naruto-kun. You are all dismissed!" With a wave of his hand, all the Anbu in the office went back to their duties, several flying back to the rafters, and the rest back off to city watch and to guard Naruto. "Mina-san, send Takashi-san in please, and tell him I'm sorry for the long wait," He said into a small microphone sitting on his desk. Suddenly the door to his office opened and in walked a large five foot eleven gentleman wearing a torn sleeve kimono top and short, shin length, dark green pants that matched his top.

"Hokage-dono, it is a pleasure..." Takashi started as he bowed before the older man. "What is it you wish of me Sandaime-sama?"

"Ah yes, Takashi-san... I wish to discuss a business opportunity for you and your family... What do you think of a million yen order of Kunai and Shuriken by this time next year? Is that plausible?" Hiruzen asked as he puffed liberally on his pipe, filling the air with his sweet smelling tobacco smoke. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he looked at the man in front of him gaping like a fish. 'All as planned...'

"I would be honored, Hokage-dono, I'm not one-hundred percent sure that I will have the entire order ready- for your amount does warrant a large shipment of iron and steel... But I will do my best to not disappoint!"The tall muscular form of Takashi bowed deeply in respect to his leaders wishes and awaited his leave.

"That is all my friend, you may go," Hiruzen kindly stated as he took another puff on his pipe.

A week later we find Naruto waking to the sound of his alarm clock blaring in his ear- having set it so he wouldn't be late with a play-date with Nami-chan and Mai-chan. The two girls had dragged him into playing a game of house tag, with his house being the safe zone, after a game of Ninja with Sasuke and the other two boys, Jirou and Ichirou. Walking into the kitchen with a yawn, Naruto readied his small breakfast of a bowl of cornflakes, milk, orange-juice, and a couple slices of toast. Having been told that a balanced breakfast helps young, and old alike, grow strong and ready for the day ahead- all thanks to a few tongue lashings curtsy of Mikoto I assure you.

Finishing up his meal, Naruto quickly went and took a shower and brushed his teeth. Quickly getting dressed, we see Naruto rush out the door and off towards his Imouto-chan's house, not even taking it slow on his way to see his adoptive family.

Running towards the house, he could see the tired form of Mai standing outside, she was wearing a small pink Kimono with Sakura petals embroidered in the design. She had her black hair dun up in a cute little bun atop her head and her angular chubby face was schooled up in a cute pout as Naruto came to a stop before her.

"Hey Mai-chan! What's wrong?" Naruto asked as he looked at her put off stance.

"It's Itachi-kun... He's gone again..." The little girl pouted as she stomped a foot on the ground, making the blonde bark out a short laugh at her display.

"It's alright Mai-chan, Itachi-san just has lots to do! So that just leaves me to pick up the slack! Dattebayo- Believe it!" Naruto cried as he flashed the young girl his best smile and a thumbs up. This made Mai blush and look away in embarrassment as to what her Onii-chan- older brother was doing.

"Naruto-kun!" Nami shouted as she flew through the door, tackling the older boy with all her strength. The four year old was now sitting on top of Naruto, her dark green kimono with light green leaves on it now disheveled and in need of a good washing from the tumble in the dirt. 'Why am I always being tackled by these guys?' was Naruto's only thought as he got up from the ground and dusted himself off, looking Nami over to make sure she wasn't injured from the tussle.

"Nami-chan... you know... One of these days, you're going to tackle something tougher than you are- and when that happens, no-one will be there to help..." Naruto dead-panned at the girl in front of him- the same one giving him a sheepish smile.

"I know Naru-Onii-chan... But I'll be big and strong for when that ever happens!" She said as she puffed up her chest and flexed her non-existent arm muscles. This all stopped though when Naruto poked her in the chest, making her let out a quick breath, and made her fall backward with nothing but a small shove... With the same finger. Nami slowly fell backward and landed flat on her ass, her face turning completely red as her cousin laughed at her failure and how Naruto was just looking at her owlishly.

"Nami, if you even think you'll ever be alone, then I seriously need to change your attitude..." Naruto said as he gently helped her to her feet, brushing off some of the dirt in the process. "... And I can't believe you actually believed what I said..."

"But you were bein-"

"I was being Sarcastic Dumby! Do you really think I would leave one of my little sisters alone!? I should kick your butt just for that right there!" he shouted as he grabbed her head and began to give her the noogie of the century.

"Uncle! Uncle! I give!" She creid out in laughter and pain, not wanting her hair to be messed up. Mai just looked on and laughed as her cousin was tortured by her adoptive older brother.

"Alright, you're good... Now, what are we going to do today girls?" Naruto asked as he unleashed the girl from his arms, though he did keep a hand on her head- much to her chagrin of course.

Runnign inside the three younglings took off to play and enjoy their morning. Jirou and Ichirou soon awoke to join in as well. With all five children getting along, their morning became one of best memories together.

Across the compound from Naruto, we find Sasuke awaking to the smell of his mother making breakfast- and the smell of the divine food called bacon. Getting washed and dressed, Sasuke quickly took off to the kitchen to help his Haha(mother).

"Morning Haha! Sleep well?!" He asked excitedly as he pulled a box of flour out of the cupboard and placed it on the counter, he then grabbed a skillet and set it on the stove next to where his mother was cooking. He then ran over and got a gallon of milk out of the fridge and placed it on the counter before grabbing a whisk out of one of the drawers.

"I'm doing good Sochi, how 'bout you?" She asked, looking over her shoulder as she flipped a few eggs on the griddle. She was busy making just over a dozen eggs while a few pancakes cooked off to the side. Her apron was drenched in backing flour and bits of dough from the pancakes. There were also a few runs down the front from when she had started the eggs- breaking several and splattering the contents does that.

"Good, I had a dream about running across the roof tops with Naruto and Ichirou again last night! It was really cool, we were hunting this white blog looking thing- but everytimg we get near it I wake up... But it's still really fun!" Sasuke cried exuberantly as he poured a little bit of flour into the skillet along with a bit of butter. He then stirred it up and let the flour brown a bit before adding some more, getting it to thicken up. He then poured a portion of the milk into the mix to help increase the stock.

"Remember Sochi, don't pour to much in, we don't want soup like last time!" Mikoto called over her shoulder as she went to place a plate full of eggs in the waiting oven to keep them warm.

"Right!" He said as he whisked the milk and flour together to break up the clumps, slowly adding more flour and milk as needed to make a rather thick gravy for the buns his mother was getting ready to make. Walking into the kitchen, Fugaku was slightly taken back when he saw that his son was actually helping his mother with breakfast. Though he was proud of his son for taking an active role in helping with baking and cooking.

"Good morning Sasuke-kun, Tsume-chan, Breakfast smells good," He said blandly as he strode into the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Having spen a good portion of the early morning talking with several of the clan elders about Naruto living in the compound. They had tried to get the boy evicted immediately, but thanks to a few threats form him and his wife, though mostly his wife, the elders had acquiesced to letting Naruto stay.

"Good morning otto-kun, breakfast will be ready in a minute... OH! You have a meeting with the elders around four- they wanted to discus the new provisions for village safety, Kami knows why..." Mikoto mumbled as she beat the dough in front of her into submission as she formed bits of it into biscuit shaped balles.

"Good morning Chichi, how'd the meeting go?" Sasuke called as he stirred the gravy.

"Aye, sochi, as well s could be expected with the elders being as they are..." Fugaku said as he chuckled, being reminded of the faces the council had made at the meeting.

"Hehe, I know what you mean Chichi, they're all really stiff!" Sasuke said before crying out as his mother smacked him on the head with a wood spoon- berating him for speaking badly of the clan elders.

Many hours later, we now find Fugaku Uchiha walking towards one of the largest buildings of the Uchiha compound. A large three story building with faded green exterior paint. The first floor had only a few windows at the front entrance and only one or tow lining either side of the building. The second floor was bare and only held a few wall mounted AC units that dotted the outer walls of the building. The top floor was roughly the same, save for a large skylight that pitched the roof up at a steep angle.

Walking through the front revolving doors, Fugaku was greeted by a young woman in a white and blue Kimono that had the Uchiha symbol stitched on the back. She wore shoulder length black hair and had flint colored eye- just like every other Uchiha. She was roughly five four and stood several inches shorter than Fugaku did.

Motioning the man to follow her, she led him up a small flight of stairs and to a large double door. Opening it Fugaku saw many of the Council elders lining the long table that occupied most of the room. Along the sides of the room stood many of the higher ranking Shinobi and Kunoichi that made up the main forces of the Uchiha police department. The ninja stood away from the wall so that they did not knock over any of the paintings that littered its surface- making sure that their presence could not be traced to the room.

"Hello Fugaku-sama, shall we get started?" One of the male elders on the far right of the room asked as he motioned for Fugaku to take his seat at the table.

"Yes, today we begin..." Fugaku paused as he slid into place at the table, "The complete and total take over of Konohagakure(Hidden leaf Village)..." With a tone of finality, Fugaku looked each of the Clan Elders and Ninja in the eye, looking for any sign of betrayal or descent. Standing right behind the clan head was his eldest son, and closest confidant, Itachi Uchiha.

With that being said, the many members of the Rebellion began to plot the downfall of one of the greatest ninja villages the Ninja World had ever seen.

Everyone, I must thank all of you for reading this story of mine. This has been my first ever attempt at a Naruto Fanfiction EVER, and I am very thankful for the positive review(s) i've gotten.

If you are all wondering; yes, this will be an alternate universe type tale, Yes, Fugaku will still lead the Uchiha to a coup... Though the end result will be different from what is in cannon. NO! Naruto will not be godlike or Kami-like, or any other OP persona in this story... That's just fucking ridiculous...

I would like to thank "one-crazy-otaku" for supporting this story, along with "Eternal Megatron" for offering the same as well. Their support is very much appreciated!

On another note, I would like to offer thanks to the few followers I have currently for liking my story enough to come back for seconds- and then some!

If any one has any questions about anything going on in the story- from Naruto's living to Sasuke not being a douche, please, just ask!

And any kind of review is welcomed! ...Even if I don't personally like it XD

Harbinger-of-Script out!
