Tris POV
"Have you ever tried to kill yourself?" He says catching me off guard. I gulp and look down at our shoes.
A/N: Sorry for the interruption! Just wanted to give a shout out to the reviewer who sent me this idea. I changed a couple of things but I wanted to say You're Awesome, I was totally freaking out how to write this, I would sit there in class thinking what the h*ll am I going to do. So you were a big help! THANKS! Sorry, back to reading.
"Honestly, yes. One day Eric told all his friends that I forced myself on him, and they called me horrible names. I don't even want to repeat them. Those thoughts and names really started to get to me. And I truly thought no one would care. I took knife to my room and wrote a note for my parents. I had the knife in my hand, right above my neck, and hesitated. In the hesitation, Caleb walked in and caught me. He took the knife, and told my parents. I then explained everything to them. Caleb saved my life. He hadn't walked in I would have followed through." All this time I have been looking down, refusing to look at him. I force myself to look up and see tears in his eyes. I can feel the heat rush to my face and tears filling my eyes too. He breathes and looks into my eyes.
"I never want you to feel like that again. I love you so much. If I lost you I think I would go crazy. You're my everything. I wake up just for you. I would care, then and now. This is weird but I honestly love your brother. If it weren't for him I wouldn't be sitting with the love of my life-"I cut him off by kissing him. He makes me feel so loved and special. I am so glad that Caleb stopped me because if he hadn't I wouldn't have him. I pull away.
"I haven't thought like that since I met you." I say holding his face in my hands.
"But you met me like a week ago." He says sniffing.
"Yeah, I felt like no one cared. I mean, there's a huge group, they wouldn't notice if I didn't show up. But then I met you and realized they would. I mean when you chased after me and Zeke the day Eric came back, it made me notice you care. You're to important to loose." I say with a tear rolling down my cheek. I hear someone yell;
"MOM'S HOME! THAT'S YOUR WARNING!" Caleb screams from his window. We made a deal when we both started high school knowing that we would both start dating that if we were home alone with our boy/girl friends we would warn each other when our parents are home so we could make sure nothing to heated was going on. I stand and scream "THANK YOU!" Tobias stands too.
"Do you want me to leave?" He asks looking worried.
"Never." I say taking his hand. "But do you have your glove?" I ask thinking of something we could do.
"Of course." He says smiling.
"Back feeling ok?" I asks turning him around.
"Feels fine, I promise." He says back. "Let me go get my glove from my trunk. You get a softball and your glove." He says starting to walk away.
"We can play with a baseball." I say back. He turns and looks at me walking backwards.
"That, I never have. Ask Zeke." He says then jogs out to his car. I go to shed and grab my glove and a ball. I grab the smaller one a compromise. I feel hands wrap around my waist and I jump.
"Hi there beautiful." Tobias says in my ear. He picks me up and throws me over my shoulder.
"Tobias put me down." I yell while laughing. "Tobias, I swear" I say and then am cut off by mom
"Beatrice?" My mother says from the sliding door.
"Hi mom, This is To-Four. Four this is my mom." I say as he puts me down.
"Hi Mrs. Prior." Tobias waves at her.
"Hi, Four." She smiles and walks back in.
"Ok, so I have a compromise. I have his small softball, more like a baseball but a little bigger." I say he nods and points behind. I start to back up and am about to throw the ball. "I don't want to hurt you." I say dropping my arm to my side.
"I was about to say that, anyways I'm a big boy and I doubt you can hurt me." He says laughing.
"Wanna bet?" I say just as Marlene and Shauna come walking in the back with Zeke and Uriah.
"Bet on what?" Zeke says.
"That I can't hurt Four when I throw this." I says raising my eyebrow thinking this could get interesting.
"I with Tris, she'll hurt you." The girls say at the same time.
"Ok, well I'm with Four, no way you can hurt him." Zeke says, and Uriah nods along in agreement.
"10 bucks?" I say everyone nods. I take one step back then I throw going about 50% I watch the ball go straight to Tobias's glove.
"OUCH!" He yells. He throws his glove off of his hand and squats in pain. I wince for him. The boys look at me in shock.
"That's only her going 50%" Marlene says. I've played with Marlene my whole life, she's the catcher for our team, and I throw to her a lot. Considering I play second and pitch. "You should feel it when she pitches." I run to Tobias' side.
"Babe, are you ok." He looks up at me.
"50%?" He asks raising his eyebrows. I nod slowly and he hangs his head.
"Come on, man up! It can't be that bad." Zeke yells.
"Wanna try?" Tobias yells back. I watch Zeke pick up Tobias' glove and put it on. Tobias stands and walks with me. He whispers in my ear
"Go about 90 to 100 % please." He says I laugh and nod. I go to my spot and Zeke throws the ball back at me.
"Is that all you got?" I say laughing. I set and throw going about 95% the ball whips through the air and hits his glove with a loud snap. He throws the glove and screams.
"SHIT!" Tobias starts laughing and I actually feel bad.
"Your a bunch of girls." Marlene yells. She grabs the glove and throws the ball at me. I stretch to catch it but get it. "Go 100% on me. I'll show these boys how its done." I nod knowing she can take it. I set and throw. The ball whips by again hits the glove. She doesn't flinch. Four looks at the both of us shocked. Me and Marlene start playing catch while the others watch in amazement. I run up to Marlene and whisper in her ear.
"Let's let em have it. Throw wild one to we have to dive, roll, flip to get em." She smiles and nods. I run back. She throws the ball about eye level way right. I take a leap and catch it. I throw one back, way over her head she does a back flip and catches. Everyone mouths drop when she throws it back at me and it goes way high and I climb the fence and jump and catch it. Doing a front flip on my way down. Me and Marlene laugh at their reactions. "Ok I think were done." I walk over and sit next to Tobias. I take his hand and look at it. I watch as Zeke and Uriah both give their girlfriends ten bucks. I look at Tobias expecting my money.
"What if, I give you a kiss now. And then take you out for ice cream instead." He says smiling. Our first real date I smile and nod. He smiles and looks at our friends.
"Ah! I believe you owe me something." I say raising my eyebrows at him. He kisses my cheek and whispers 'I love you' in my ear.
We all hung out in my back yard for about two hours when Will and Christina come walking up.
"Were all here lets play Never Have I Ever." Zeke says.
"Ok, but no alcohol. My mom's home." I say quietly. Everyone nods. I go and grab 8 Mountain Dew's. I walk back to Christina laughing about how the boys reacted to my throwing. She is my first basemen so she is used to my throws too.
"Ok, never have I ever, skipped class." Zeke says once everyone has a soda. Everyone but me take a drink. Tobias smirks and kisses my cheek.
"Never have I ever, gotten drunk." Will says quietly. We all take a drink.
"Never have I ever, lied to my parents." I say, I then take a swig. I look around noticing I'm the only one. They all look at me. "What, my mom asked me if I stayed at Christina's because I got drunk at her party. I said no and told her I was helping Uriah because he got so drunk he fell down the stairs and I sat down then fell asleep." I say they all nod in agreement. Like it was a good idea. I see Uriah looking sarcastically hurt. I laugh at him.
"Never have I ever, punched a girl." Once I again I am the only one to take a swig.
"Ugh, this chick Destiny in Montana. Told Caleb he was dumb and said he was ugly, stupid, an asshole, man slut, and so much more. Word got around and everyone started calling him that. Caleb didn't go to school for 3 weeks so when I found out who the girl was I told the principle. He said there wasn't enough proof. When I walked out of his office she was outside and said right as I walked by 'Look its the Bitchy Sister' That set me over the top. I walked up to her and got in her face, said some words I'm not proud of. I was walking away when she called me a really horrible word that I'm guessing you know to never call a women. My blood boiled with anger and I turned around and socked her straight in the face. She stumbled and I grabbed her hair and threw her at a brick wall. She fell to the floor clutching her face. I kicked her in the ribs and then sat on her and went to town on her face. And let's just say I am not invited back to the school, because she was the principles daughter." I say nodding. Everyone looks at me like I'm a totally new person.
"You heard it. Don't mess with Tris or well be in the hospital." Uriah says.
"Or Four. I'll kick anyone's ass, if you come close to him." I say laughing. He scoots closer and laughs.
"That's my girl." He said, then kisses me on the cheek again. "Ice Cream." He whispers in my ear.
"Ok, get out." I say to the gang.
"What? Why?" Christina complains.
"I have a date, and need you to leave." I hear Tobias chuckle and turn and look at him.
"You need to change then." Christina yells.
"Why?" I ask looking at what I am wearing. A black tank top that says "Brave" on it with dark green capris. Black nike's and my hair in a ponytail.
"Because, you can't go on a date looking like that." She says back. I move my head back, do I really look that bad.
"I think she looks hot." Tobias says looking at Christina then me. He stands and offers me his hand. I take it and stand too. I kiss him.
"Were leaving now." He says walking back to his car.
"Should I change?" I ask still feeling a little insecure.
"No. I don't want you to be all dolled up the way Christina would insist on making you. I love you the way you are." He says once were both in the car. I smile and kiss him. He then starts the car and we drive away.
A/N: Ooohhh. Another sort of cliffhanger. I am trying to be nice because a lot of stuff happens in the next chapter. Not so good stuff. Now theres your cliffhanger! Love you! Hope you like it.
