Tris POV

I look at the computer screen

A/N: The book doesn't say last names so I came up with my own.

"Guys we made Varsity!" I yell. They all hug each other and Tobias hugs me.

"I knew you could do it." He whispers in my ear. I sit back down and type in the baseball list.

Varsity:

Four Eaton

and So on

I jump up from my chair and wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him. He pulls away looking puzzled.

"You made Varsity. Actually All of our boyfriends did." I say looking back at the computer seeing Will's name. Tobias hugs me and all the girls run out of the house screaming.

A/N: 3 weeks later. Soft/Baseball games are about to start.

I am walking to my locker with Chris. I see a guy leaning on my locker.

"Excuse me, that's my locker." I say tapping his shoulder.

"I know, I'm Bryce." He says putting his hand out so I can shake it. I shake his hand.

"Hi, I'm-" I say before he cuts me off.

"Gorgeous. I know. I was wondering if you wanted to get some lunch tomorrow since its Saturday." He said catching me off guard.

"Sorry I have a boyfriend." I say taking a step back.

"I don't see him here." He says motioning around. He does have a point, I know me and Tobias are busy with Soft/Baseball but whenever I have free time I try to see him but he always has an excuse of why we can't hang. He has been very distant lately. I shake my head no, and turn around and walk to lunch with Christina. I sit at the table with her and Shauna. I pull out my lunch I packed. A salad with croutons and cherry tomatoes.

"I'll be back I have to talk to Will." Christina practically screams.

"Yeah I have to talk to Zeke." Shauna says getting up with Christina. Great now I am here alone. I turn looking for Tobias. I don't see him. I turn back and someone slings there arm over my shoulder. I look over and see Eric. I tense.

"Hey baby." He says in my ear.

"Go away." I say sternly.

"Being feisty again?" He says raising his eyebrows. I freeze.

"Go away." I say saying it a little louder this time. Bryce looks over and walks toward me.

"Is there a problem here?" He says questionably.

"No, and new kid why don't you mind your own business." Eric snaps at him. He stands and pulls me with him. I elbow Eric in the gut and he pulls my hair back. I scream in pain. I watch Bryce punch Eric in the face and he goes out cold. Bryce takes my hand and leads me out of the cafeteria. As we are walking out I stumble in to Tobias with tears streaming down my face. He faces becomes worried and he turns and follows us.

"What the hell is going on?" He asks looking at me.

"You know him?" Bryce asks me.

"My boyfriend." I say pointing at Tobias but looking at Bryce. He lets go of my hand and walks away madly.

"Care to explain?" Tobias says pissed off.

"Where were you." I say breathing loudly.

"I had to talk to couch John. Now answer my question." He says stepping closer.

"Well while you were off with John, I was sitting alone at the table waiting for you. Next thing I know Eric has his arm around me and whispering things in my ear. I yelled for him to leave and that's when Bryce came and saved me." I say leaning against the lockers.

"Saved you?" He says madly.

"Yeah since my so called boyfriend decided baseball was more important than me." I say. I can see that, that hit him hard.

"Wait? How is this my fault." Tobias says making me mad.

"Are you kidding me. I have seen you in three fucking weeks. I miss you. I need you." I say yelling now. He takes a step back making the space between us bigger. "It's I have baseball practice or a meeting with John or Zeke needs help with throwing or catching. What about me?" I say with even more tears running down my cheek.

"I'm busy. Who's Bryce?" He asks.

"Oh my fucking god. Did you just hear me?" I say back at him.

"Who is he?" He says sternly.

"Some guy who likes me." I say wiping my tears.

"Some guy who likes you holding your hand." He says going red in the face.

"Because Eric pulled my hair, bringing my whole head backwards. Do you hear the words coming out of my mouth." I say screaming.

"I need some air." He says starting to walk away.

"Good bye Tobias." I say softly. He turns and looks at me. "I'm done." I say. He takes a deep breath and I walk away. I walk to my house going straight to my room. I get a text message.

I need to talk to you -4

I ignore it, I cry myself asleep. I wake up with a whole bunch of messages.

Please -4

Hey are you ok? -Chris

Tris? -Chris

What happened -Chris

Why is Four bawling? - Chris

Why did he just lash out on Zeke, then cry on his shoulder -Chris

Where the hell are you -Chris

I text her back everything and answer all of her questions. I need air so I leave my phone on my bed and turn to my window. I climb on the tree and sit on the little chair I made when I was younger. I see 4 guys walking past my house.

"What did I do?" One asks "Tris was my everything. Now I've screwed that up." Tobias says. I climb down to the ground and follow them. Zeke turns and see's me. I put my index finger in my lips asking him to keep quiet. "I messed all of it up. I couldn't see past he jealousy, and see that she was hurting. And with Eric doing that shit. Then Bryce got in my face in gym today. Telling I'm so lucky to have her. That I better not hurt her. That he would hold her tight and never let her go if he had her. That made me feel 10 times worse." They stop and stand by trees. Tobias leans face first into a tree. Will, Uriah, and Zeke slip behind the bushes where I am and I walk up behind Tobias. He turns about to say something else and then he see's me. He stops himself and just stares at me.
