Chapter 15: Brothers.

After Zero gave Bass and Blues the same room intentionally to let Blues annoy Bass somehow, Zero went up to the roof, thinking to himself just how messed up things might get, and what the consequences will be.

"Hey, Zero." X called.

"Yeah? What is it?" Zero asked.

"I've been thinking lately, about our "brothers"." This somehow shocked Zero a little.

"Really? why's that?"

"Well, I'm happy that I seem to've found my older brother who apparently is shorter than me, but Cerveau is going to make them taller and stronger. But... somehow, I don't feel that happy." X said looking down.

"Probably because you don't know your brother that well, It's like you're my best friend the entire time, but when I was awakened, somehow I couldn't believe it and I didn't feel that happy too, but hey, don't worry about it X." Zero said with a faint smile.

"That's true, but, if you wouldn't mind, what's with you and your brother, Bass I believe?"

"We aren't in good terms with each other." A voice came from behind.

Zero turned around and saw Bass. "Bass, what brings you here?"

"Well for one I was gettin bored stuck with that annoying red pest, and two, I overheard you guys talking about brothers, so I figured I'd join your conversation."

Zero just turned his back towards Bass.

There was silence for quite a while.

"Alright, uh, I'm no good at brotherhood, but before, Axl would make Zero and I talk with each other honestly, so yeah, go talk, but before that, I'll call Axl so in case he gets no result, which he always does get by the way, see who's fault is it." X then departed to call Axl.

The two brothers were litterally just standing there staying silent until X came with Axl.

"Man, you two seriously didn't move or speak, huh?" X said a bit disappointed.

"No." Bass said.

"Alright, go talk with each other, Zero's side first."

Zero, with a sigh, started to explain his story, (Note, this part will be told as Zero.)

20XX, My creation year, I don't know what month, what day, when, how, but I was under the progress of being made, I was a tool of destruction, meant to overpower some robot named Megaman, after some time, I was finished, but, I was sealed in a capsule, then I saw some prototype me, then as he went out, I somehow shutted down, I don't even remember how anymore, or what was my other purpose, asides from defeating you also, X, I had no clue what happened until I was activated again after being shut down, with my previous system active, I destroyed everything in sight, then fought Sigma, Lost, he became a Maverick because of me.

This shocked Bass so much that It went to the point that he made even had a reaction which Zero didn't expect.

"Bass? What's wrong?" Zero asked.

"I remember it, I remember it completely now!" Bass yelled

Axl wasn't surprised he got a result since he always gets one usually,

Bass then explained his side.

200X, 13th of July, that was my creation date, I was made to free Wily from prison, I was also determined to defeat Megaman, but it never happened, but let me cut to the chase of why Zero and I aren't in good terms, because one day, after failing to defeat Megaman, I stumbled upon him, his sister, and Dr Light having a picnic, she looked beautiful, she had yellow long hair, and it was tied to make one long ponytail, she wore a red dress with white underskirt, she made a feeling that even I didn't think I'd have, I thought to myself, "What the hell are they doing here having a picnic at a dangerous spot?" then I saw robots charge towards the group, I couldn't just stand there, even though I was thinking about it, Megaman tried to defeat the robots alone, but it wasn't possible, so I charged in and lent a helping hand, Megaman questioned why I was here after helping them and what I was planning. "Nothing, I...just wanted to break my boredom, that's all." Megaman knew I was lying, so he demanded for the truth, I was a bit frustrated about telling the truth, but I had no choice. "It was so I could protect this girl." pointing to Roll.

"To protect Roll!? don't lie to me!" He checked my eyes one more time, but he realised that I wasn't lying, It made me close my eyes a bit, in embarassment. He asked me why I wanted to protect her, I couldn't really lie, but I didn't reveal why, I just simply said that it's dangerous here and I wanted to only defeat him, no one else. I was on my way when She invited me to join picnic, I wanted to refuse, but at the same time, I wanted to stay close to her. Megaman apologized for being a bit rude and thanked me, I just simply said no problem, hesitating to talk to him, of course. Roll, apparently, gave me the biggest amount of food, I offered it to her, which got Megaman and even Light surprised, Roll and I just looked at those two then blushed a bit. When Megaman saw me blush, he realised why I wanted to protect her. "You...you like my-" I interuppted him before he could even finish. But Roll told me to let him continue. When he finished, I denied it, "That's the most stupid thing I could ever hear! I don't have those kind of feelings! All I want in this world is to beat you!" Realizing what I said,. This got me to think Roll felt kind of awkward, after this, I departed quickly, despite the three of them calling for me.

After awhile, Roll and I got closer to each other, and not for long, we were more than just "best friends.", atleast that's what I thought, then while we were sitting at a park I asked her. "Roll? may I ask you a question?" "What is it Bass?" "What do you find so interesting in me?" "You tell me what you find so interesting in me first, then I'll tell you." "Well, you're kind, cute, pretty, and I'm not making this up, but me, I couldn't care about others, I never thought about anything else but to defeat Megaman. Your brother, and yet, on that day we first met, you invited me despite knowing my hatred for Megaman. So what do you like about me?" "Because of who you really are." This got me quite shocked. "Wh-What? I just want to defeat Megaman, that's all!" "I know that deep inside of you Bass, you care about others, you don't want to defeat Megaman, it's because of what happened, tell me, what will you do after you defeat my brother?" "...I...I don't know...now that you mention it, I don't know." "Well, how about I suggest something for you." She said getting closer to me. "How about,instead of defeating Rock, you stay with us, and join us?" "Are you...serious?" She nodded. "...Thank you..." and she just hugged me, I didn't know what to do, I just looked at her in the eyes and...put my lips on her lips..I felt so stupid after doing that considering she only hugged me, when I stopped, She was blushing, I was about to run when she kissed me with much more feelings than mine.

Before Mega knew it, I was welcomed, I stopped other Robot Masters alongside Mega, and then Zero's prototype was awakened, Wily told me his plans when I arrived to attempt to destory it, I had to stop the prototype, I arrived at Mega's spot earlier than the prototype, who was just walking, when I told them about what was about to happen, It was too late, Blues visited, so It was Me, Megaman and Protoman against the prototype, despite all we could do, we couldn't beat the prototype, it dealt the final blow on Megaman, that's what Blues and I believe, Blues managed to escape, and It was about to deal the final blow on me, when Roll jumped in harm's way, I saw with my own eyes her, getting torn apart, I couldn't handle it anymore, I just charged towards the prototype and kept on punching his face, but the prototype smashed my head, making me lose memory, and finishing me off, Light was gonna get killed but luckily, He managed to build a barrier, disguised as a wall, and the prototype seem to've forgotten it's objective due to a punch I landed where his Memory circuit was.

"And here I am, cursed to forever suffer from this memory." Bass said actually releasing some tears.

"Bass." Zero knelt down "I..I'm sorry that I had to be created."

"Don't worry, It's not your fault. It's mine, I was so weak I couldn't even stand up to what I desired to protect like Megaman."

"Guys! I got some news!" Ciel yelled.

"Ciel, what is it?" Zero asked.

"I seem to've located 2 Robots that was since 2 centuries ago, located in an abandoned lab, and one of them looks like X, and another one looks like me."

"Wait, abandoned lab..is it at the north?" X asked.

"Yes it is."

"That's where I was made, that's where Dr Light was!"

Bass, after hearing this, stood up, dashed to Ciel and asked her to transport Zero, him, X and herself there.

Ciel, looked at Zero, who nodded.

"Alright. Let's go." Ciel said.

Bass smiled, and walked towards Zero.

"Oh yeah, I forgot something." Bass said.

"What is it?" Zero asked.

"I...I'm sorry." Bass said looking down.

Zero leaned his hand on Bass's shoulder.

"Hey, we're brothers, we should forgive each other, and I'm sorry for acting like a brat to you."

They both looked at each other and smiled like they finally felt good with each other.

Bass remembered something on their way down.

"Roll, I promise you, no matter what happens, nothing can tear us apart, alright?"

"I'm coming for you."
