Disclaimer- I do not own Kingdom Hearts or any of the Disney worlds in this story or anything except my characters, monsters, some Keyblades, and this plot. They belong to their respected owners and I respect their works. Also this is my first fanfic, so please take it easy on me. Also I have not yet played KH3.
Howdeedoodeethere (Dragonese for hello) once again. As you know, this is the chapter that has been asked of me by my good friend xKeybladeWielderx. Also this will be based off the book with little bits from the movie. This book helped spark my love of reading and is a part of what made me who I am. If I did the movie, it would just be a copy of what xKeybladeWielderx did in his story. This way it will be different and I hope that you enjoy it. Now let's begin.
Chapter 12: The Wilderwest
As our heroes approached the next world after getting through another blockade, they got their first good look at the world. For the most part it was covered in water with a few islands scattered about. All the islands were covered in a fog save one semi-small island near the center. They decided to land on that island.
(The Wilderwest/Berk) They landed on the beach on the island and right away noticed one thing: everything was wet. Not just the sand near the waves, but the ground up ahead where grass was growing looked completely soaked.
"I wonder why it's so wet around here?", asked Alanine to no one in particular.
"Help! Someone please help!", yelled someone. They ran toward the voice and found who it was. It was a small pale boy with brown hair that peaked up from a horned helmet. He had blue eyes and freckles on his face. He wore a green tunic with a brown leather and fur vest over it, brown fur boots, and brown pants. With him were three small dragons. The first was the smallest of the three and was kinda plain in looks with a basic build (Think like Terrible Terror.) and was trying to hide under the boy's helmet. The other two were near the boy's feat shaking with terror. One of them was black and had tailfins and piercing green eyes (Think like Toothless from the movie). The other one was the same, except it was white with blue eyes. Surrounding the group was a group of Eclipsed, some Husks, Dragoons, and a couple of new ones called Spondakes. The Spondrakes looked like medium sized black dragons with red underbellies, had red eyes that gave and expression of anger, and the Eclipsed symbol on the front part of it's chest. Balin, Alanine and Max summoned their weapons and ran in front of the boy and the dragons, coming between them and the Eclipsed.
"If you want them, you have to go through us first!", yelled Balin at the Eclipsed. They then charged, Max went to take care of the lesser Eclipsed whale Balin and Alanine went after the Spondrakes. They landed direct hits, but they just shrugged it off and unleashed a fire breath attack at them. Alanine cast Reflera to shield himself and Balin from the flames. They then began to try to take to the sky. "Oh no you don't." Then he grabbed on to the leg of one, flipped onto it's back, and began pounding on it from it's back. Balin did the same to the other one. The Spondrakes tried to throw them off, but they held on and dealt the final blow to them. As the Spondrakes disappeared, Balin and Alanine jumped off and landed gracefully on the ground. Then the black dragon landed on Alanine and white on Balin.
"That was amazing!", said the white dragon.
"We'd be honored if you'd be our masters.", said the black one.
"What do you mean masters?", asked Alanine.
"It means that we belong with you two. That we are your dragons and you our masters.", answered the white dragon.
"We don't want to own anyone.", replied Balin.
"Wait, you understand what they are saying?", asked the boy.
"Yeah, their speaking plain english.", answered Balin.
"No their speaking Dragonese. The only way I know what they are saying is because I know the language.", replied the boy. "So how come you three can understand what they are saying?"
"Two actually.", said Max. "I can't make heads or tails of what they are saying. All I hear are noises."
"Then it must be a Keyblade wielder thing.", said Alanine.
"Keyblade wielder?", asked the boy.
"That's what we are.", said Balin as he and Alanine presented their Keyblades.
"Wow, there hasn't been one of those here for generations!", exclaimed the boy.
"Where exactly is here?", asked Max.
"Oh where are my manners. My name is Hiccup, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third and welcome to Berk.", said Hiccup. Then the little dragon peaked out from under his helmet and then came out. "And this is my dragon Toothless."
"That's an odd name for a dragon.", said Balin.
"It actually fits him well since he is the only toothless dragon there is on the entire island of Berk.", replied Hiccup. "Anyway, thanks for the save back there."
"That's our masters.", said the black dragon with pride.
"Stop calling us your masters. Call us Balin and Alanine.", said Balin.
"Ok Master Balin.", replied The white dragon. "So what's our names?"
"You two don't have names?", asked Alanine.
"Our masters give us our names.", answered the black dragon.
"Ok then, how do you like the name Shadow?", asked Alanine to his dragon.
"That name fits me well.", answered Shadow.
"And how about the name Hikaru for you?", asked Balin to his dragon.
"I like it.", answered Hikaru. Then Toothless went over to them.
"Why do you even want a master? You could be free.", asked Toothless.
"One, they saved us from those monsters.", answered Shadow.
"And two, don't you feel their hearts? They shine bright with light, kindness, and other good things. Who wouldn't want to have masters like that?", said Hikaru.
"Whatever then.", said Toothless as he went onto Hiccup's arm.
"So what were those things anyway?", asked Hiccup. "I've never seen or heard of those creatures before."
"They are called Eclipsed. They are forces of darkness that we are fighting and trying to save the universe from.", answered Alanine.
"We are also looking for our friends, their names are Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Have you seen them?", asked Balin.
"Sorry, but no I haven't.", answered Hiccup. "But maybe they'll be here for Thor's Day Thursday. Especially if they have dragons."
"Thor's Day Thursday?", asked Max.
"It's a celebration we have in the name of the god Thor. Toward the end is the contest for young vikings and initiation ceremony.", answered Hiccup.
"What kind of contest?", asked Balin.
"It is a contest to determine how well you trained your dragon to do simple commands. Things like stop, go, and most importantly fishing.", answered Hiccup.
"We'll win that contest for you guys.", said Shadow. "What ever you want us to do, we'll do it."
"Thanks for the offer.", said Alanine. "I think that it would be a good idea to enter. What do you guys think?"
"Let's do it.", replied Balin.
"Whatever you guys think, I'm with it.", answered Max.
"Then sign us up.", said Alanine.
"Then let's head back to the village.", replied Hiccup. "It's not too far from here. Follow me." He then began leading them to the village through the muddy ground.
"Why is it so muddy around here?", asked Max.
"It is constantly raining and or snowing here. Today is kinda weird actually, since it has yet to even drizzle.", answered Hiccup.
"Sounds like Ezylryb would like to come here.", commented Balin.
"Yep, lots of good storms filled with baggywrinkles.", said Alanine.
"Baggywrinkles?", asked Hiccup.
"Don't ask, it's an Ezylryb thing.", replied Alanine. They then climbed up a hill.
"We should be able to see the village from up here.", said Hiccup. Sure enough, as they reached the top of the hill a typical viking village appeared in the distance. "We're almost home. It literally is all downhill from here." They soon reached the village and was greeted by a small boy with a yellow tunic and brown pants. He too wore a helmet but was different from Hiccup's, as well as glasses and a crab claw necklace.
"Who are they Hiccup?", asked the boy.
"These are my new friends, Balin and his dragon Hikaru, Alanine and his dragon Shadow, and Max.", answered Hiccup. "Guys, I want you to meet my best friend Fishlegs."
"Nice to meet you FIshlegs.", said Balin.
"Any friend of Hiccup's if a friend of mine.", replied Fishlegs. "Oh Hiccup, a word of warning, Snotlout is looking for you. Don't know why this time." Hiccup sighed at this.
"Who's this Snotlout?", asked Alanine.
"He's the local bully, strongest teen, natural fighter, bane of me and Fishlegs's existence,", answered Hiccup. "and my cousin. I'd better go see what he wants."
"We'll go with you.", said Balin. Hiccup opened his mouth to say something. "And that is not an offer."
"So where is he?", asked Hiccup.
"Down by the Great Hall.", answered Fishlegs. The group began to leave. "And Hiccup, good luck."
"I'm going to need it.", mumbled Hiccup to himself.
"You've got us for good luck.", said Balin.
"I hope that's enough.", mumbled Hiccup. They then proceed toward the Great Hall, and there found a young viking teen waiting for them. He was much larger than Hiccup but was just as pale as him. He wore a black fur over a blood red tunic, gray pants that had a black belt with a skull buckle, brown fur boots with black trim, helmet with swirled horns and he wore a sheathed sword. But the most distinguishing trait was his large nose.
"Hello Useless.", said the boy. "I see you got my message."
"What do you want Snotlout?", asked Hiccup.
"Nothing much,", answered Snotlout. "I recently got this new sword and need someone to break it in on. Then I thought who is the most Useless person in the village and I thought of you." He then drew his sword. Then Balin stepped in front of Hiccup.
"Why don't you pick on someone closer to your size!", yelled Balin.
"And who be this?", replied Snotlout. "Well that can wait, any friend of Useless, is an enemy of mine." He then stabbed forward at Balin, who then simply sidestepped out of the way. "What the.. Gaa!" He then began slashing wildly at Balin who just kept out of the point his blade. A small crowd began to form around them.
"Come on Snotlout, for someone of your rep I thought it would be more of a challenge.", taunted Balin. Snotlout continued to swing wildly. "I think I felt a little breeze on that one." Snotlout soon became winded. "Is that all you've got Snotlout. Now it's my turn." Balin then knocked him down, grabbed his sword, drove it into the ground next to his head, and put his foot on Snotlout's chest. "My name is Balin and I am a friend of Hiccup. Don't forget it." He then lifted his foot off Snotlout. Then the crowd began to disperse, save one individual. He was a mountain of a man with fiery red hair and beard, and bulging muscles. He wore a deep green tunic and pants, a armor skirt, studded leather bracers, a thick belt, brown leather shoes, a brown fur cloak held by giant metal clasps, and a helmet with large black tipped horns. "Who is that Hiccup?"
"That is Stoick the Vast, Oh Hear his Name and Tremble, Ugh Ugh, Chief of the tribe,", answered Hiccup. "And my dad."
"That's your dad!", exclaimed Alanine. "But that would mean…"
"I'm the heir of the tribe.", finished Hiccup. "That would be a yes." Stoick began moving toward them. "Oh suffering scallops."
"Are these your friends son?", asked Stoick.
"Yes father.", answered Hiccup.
"Hi, I'm Balin and these are Alanine and Max.", introduced Balin. "It is nice to meat you Chief Stoick."
"And it's nice to see my Hiccup making some non-weird friends unlike Fisheggs.", replied Stoick.
"It's Fishlegs dad.", said Hiccup. "And he's not that weird."
"That was some good fighting you did back there Balin.", said Stoick not hearing Hiccup.
"That was nothing. He didn't even have to use his Keyblade.", said Max.
"Keyblade?", asked Stoick. "That must mean that you are one of it's chosen ones."
"And Alanine too.", replied Balin. Stoick then began a big, booming laugh.
"This is a good omen. My son making friends with two Keyblade wielders before Thor's Day Thursday. A very good omen indeed.", said Stoick. Then Shadow and Hikaru landed on Balin and Alanine's shoulders. "And you already have dragons of your own. Very, very good. If you need a place to stay the night, my home is open to such fine warriors."
"Thank you Stoick.", replied Balin. "I think we'll take you up on that offer."
"Excellent, I look forward to seeing you back at the house at dinner.", said Stoick. He then went off. Hiccup then turned to Balin.
"Ok let me start off with that was amazing!", exclaimed Hiccup. "Not only did you just whip Snotlout's butt, but you also impressed my dad! You guys really are a good luck charm."
"That's our masters for you.", said Hikaru.
"That was nothing.", said Toothless. "Toothless could have done that blindfolded, and with one wing and claw tied behind my back."
"Sure you could Toothless.", said Alanine and Shadow in a sarcastic tone.
"See, they know how great Toothless is.", said Toothless proud of himself. Balin, Alanine, Shadow, Hikaru, and Hiccup all began laughing.
"What in the world is going on?", asked Max.
"Nothing of importance.", answered Balin once he and the others stopped laughing. "So what now Hiccup?"
"Well I think we should get some more training in before Thor's Day tomorrow.", replied Hiccup.
"We'll be unstoppable by tomorrow with a little training.", said Hikaru.
"I'm in if you are.", said Shadow.
"Alright then, let's train.", said Balin. They then spent the next few hours training with their dragons: giving them commands for them to follow with Shadow and Hikaru doing what Balin and Alanine said right on the dime and Toothless trying to keep up. Max trained with his weapon not too far off. Soon the sun began to set.
"It's getting late.", said Hiccup. "We should probably start heading back to the house."
"Lead the way.", replied Max. They soon reached Hiccup's home and entered. Inside was tons of fur things and ornately carved wooden furniture. A warm fire flickered in the fireplace. All in all, very homey.
"Nice place.", commented Alanine.
"Thanks.", replied Hiccup.
"Hiccup is that you?", asked the voice of Stoick from another room. They entered the other room to find a large table filled with a large assortment of food and several chairs. "Perfect timing, you're all just in time for dinner." They all sat down at the table and began eating. Balin, Alanine, and Hiccup gave some of their food to their dragons under the table as they ate. As they ate, Stoick gorged himself.
"Where does he put it all?", asked Balin in a whisper.
"That is a mystery that will go unanswered till the end of time.", replied Hiccup. Balin quietly chuckled at this. Soon all that was left of the food was the bones.
"That was delicious Chief Stoick.", said Alanine.
"Thank you.", replied Stoick. The then let out a large yawn. "I say it's about time to hit the hay. Night boys."
"Night.", replied all of them as Stoick stood up and left. Then Hiccup stood up.
"Let me show to your room.", said Hiccup. They all stood up and followed him down the hall where he opened one of the doors and revealed a room with three beds in it. Balin, Alanine, Max, Hikaru, and Shadow then entered the room. "My room is right next door if you need anything."
"Thanks Hiccup.", replied Balin.
"It's nothing really.", said Hiccup. "You guys should get some sleep for tomorrow. Good night."
"Night.", said the rest. Hiccup then left and closed the door behind him. Then each one took one of the beds and Shadow and Hikaru curled up in the bed with their masters.
Later that night, Shadow and Hikaru awoke to find their masters gone and the door opened a crack. They somehow knew they would find them outside, and sure enough they were sitting on a boulder near the house. There was no moon out but the stars shine bright enough to not need it. The wind blew gently but cool. "Is something troubling you Master Balin?", asked Hikaru.
"First off, stop calling me master.", answered Balin. "And secondly, we've just been thinking."
"Thinking about what?", asked Shadow.
"Lots of things, but there is one thing,", answered Alanine. "Why did you chose us to be your masters? Surely there are other strong warriors with good hearts out there."
"Because we were meant to be your's.", answered Hikaru. "When we hatched we were different from other dragons. For starters, we had powers that other dragons do not. Powers like our unique breath weapons." He then breathed fire from his mouth but it wasn't just fire; it seemed to ether be fire made of light or light made into fire. Shadow did the same except that his was a shimmering shadow. "We also have other powers that we don't know how to use yet and possibly powers that we know nothing of yet."
"We also hatched with a desire to be with a human.", continued Shadow. "Not just any human but our humans. Masters whose hearts were like our own. Ones that would care about us. For this we were shunned by other free dragons. All we had was each other and so we searched for our destined masters together. This lead us to being at the beach today and meeting you two. The moment we saw you, the moment we felt your hearts, we knew our search was finally over. We had found the other part of our hearts."
"Thank you for finally coming.", said Hikaru.
"There is no need to thank us. It seems that it was just destined to be.", replied Alanine. "We should head back to bed now. Big day tomorrow you know." They then went back to bed and slept soundly till the next day. The next day, they awoke a little after sunrise and prepared for the day ahead. Soon as they finished, Hiccup came in to check up on them.
"Oh good, you're all awake.", said Hiccup. "I was just coming in to wake you up for some breakfast. After that we can go down to the festivities." They quickly ate breakfast and then went to the festival. When they arrived it was already in full swing, with jugglers, and fortune tellers, displays of swordsmanship. All around were vikings in the holiday mood. The sun was also shining brightly in the sky and not a cloud in sight.
"You guys really know how to celebrate.", said Balin.
"And it' the perfect day for it too.",said Max.
"Well enjoy the sun while it is still out. Old Wrinkly says that a big storm will come in before the day is done.", replied Hiccup.
"Who's Old Wrinkly?", asked Alanine.
"He's my grandfather and one of the village elders.", answered Hiccup. Just then Snotlout came over to them. On his shoulder was a fairly large dragon, at least compared to theirs. It's scales were a fiery red, it had fangs like daggers in it's mouth, black horns that were slightly curved and notched, it's forearms were wings and hind feet with wicked looking claws, it's neck was long and moved like a snake's, and it's eyes were a piercing yellow and slitted like a snake's. Snotlout walked straight up to Balin and stopped an inch away from him.
"I will destroy you.", said Snotlout. He then tuned and faced Hiccup. "And you too."
"You think you can beat me, you little worm.", said the dragon on Snotlout's shoulder to Hikaru. "I will grind your bones to dust and leave you begging for mercy."
"I dare you to try.", said both Balin and Hikaru, together making a threatening aura.
"Come one Hookfang, let's go.", said Snotlout before he left with his dragon.
"Let me at them. I'll make them pay for threatening us.", said Hikaru.
"No Hikaru, I don't want you to fight them.", replied Balin. "If a fight starts today, I want you to come straight back to me and Alanine."
"And that goes the same for you Shadow.", said Alanine. "Can we count on you two to do this?"
"Whatever will make you happy.", answered Hikaru. Just then, a horn sounded incredibly loudly somewhere near by.
"That's for us.", said Hiccup.
"I'll catch you guys latter. Got to get a good seat to watch you crush the competition.", said Max. "Good luck guys, but I don't think you'll need it." He then followed a crowd and disappeared. The rest of them went to a tent set up on the beach near where the crowd had assembled. As they entered, they found that many of the others had already gotten there; among them was Fishlegs. On his shoulder sat a small light brown dragon with dark brown spots that made it look almost like a cow. Fishlegs looked up and noticed them and walked over.
"Hey guys.", said Fishlegs.
"Hey.", responded Balin. "Who is this?"
"This is my dragon Horrorcow.", answered Fishlegs. Just then a large man came into the tent. He had a long, blond mustache, a wooden peg for his right leg, and a hook like object for his left hand. He wore a yellow tunic, brown fur vest, green and yellow striped pants, and a bracer of wrapped leather on his right arm.
"Who is that Hiccup?", asked Alanine.
"That is Gobber the Belch.", answered Hiccup.
"You guys have such colorful names.", commented Balin.
"Tell me about it.", responded Hiccup. "Anyway, he is the one in charge of 'training' us."
"I take it he is not a good teacher.", said Alanine.
"His idea of training usually consists of something along the lines of setting a large wild dragon on us and expecting us to train it.", replied Hiccup.
"Don't remind me.", committed Fishlegs as he rubbed his arm in what seemed like a phantom pain.
"Alright you lot, listen up!", ordered Gobber. "This your final test, the last thing you need to do to become full members of the tribe. Failure will mean exile and a probable death by cannibals. But surpass all the other and win the extra glory of becoming the Hero of the Year. Heroes or Exiles!"
"Heroes or Exiles!", yelled the other boys. But Balin, Alanine, Hiccup, and Fishlegs said nothing, but the look that Hiccup and Fishlegs said 'exile'. Then to other boys and Gobber went outside.
"So wait, if one does not pass this test they are exiled from the tribe?", asked Balin.
"That's right.", answered Hiccup. "'Only the strong can belong', that's one of the Berkan motos."
"I guess we better start saying our goodbyes then.", said Fishlegs.
"Don't be so down on yourselfs.", said Balin. "You trained hard for this. You know what needs to be done. All you need is a little confidence in yourselves, us, and each other. We can do this. We could win this thing!"
"You really think so?", asked Fishlegs.
"I know so. Now come on and let's win this thing!", shouted Balin before he ran out the tent.
"Wait for me Balin!", cried out Hiccup before he too ran out the tent.
"You have to admit not only does he have a point, but also he is good at inspiration.", said Alanine before he walked out the tent.
"Might as well.", said Fishlegs before he exited the tent. Outside, the crowd of vikings sat in the stands a little distance away and cheering wildly for the young vikings before them. Balin and Alanine tried to spot Max but could not. A large mass of storm clouds had appeared on the horizon and appeared to be moving toward the island at a fast pace.
"Vikings of Berk!", yelled out the booming voice of Stoick. "We have gathered here to honor the Great God Thor in the traditional manner, and to test these young warriors to see if they have what it takes to become true viking heroes! As you all know, but I must say anyway, there are two stages to the contest: the obedience stage and the fishing stage! The one that does the best in both will be named this year's Hero of the Year! Warriors to your places!" They all took to one of the starting points in the sand and had their dragon on their outstretched arm. "And begin!"
"Go Shadow.", said Alanine as Shadow took off from his arm.
"Go Hikaru.", said Balin as Hikaru did the same. The two boys were in perfect sync with their dragons, with them accomplishing the commands flawlessly and right on the dime. Almost as if the dragons knew what they wanted before they even said it. Hiccup and Snotlout were also very good with their dragons during this part. And as for Fishlegs, he did ok. They then moved on to the second part of the trial and right away Shadow and Hikaru began dominating the competition, by working together they brought in giant swarms of fish. It became obvious as to who was winning. Just as they were returning with another haul, Hookfang appeared behind them.
"I will not lose to a little worm like you!", yelled Hookfang before he attacked Hikaru. Hikaru dropped the load of fish as he dodge-rolled out of the way. Hookfang's attack failed to hit Hikaru, but instead hit another dragon that retaliated to the sudden strike. Soon a giant brawl began between all the dragons except Shadow and Hikaru who returned to the shore. The young vikings tried to regain control over their dragons but they all failed. It wasn't until Stoick stormed out onto the beach and yelled at all the dragons that they were able to stop the brawl. Afterwards, all the young vikings and their dragons hung their heads. Stoick turned his attention to Balin and Alanine.
"You two, leave now.", commanded Stoick.
"What about Hiccup?", asked Balin.
"Just leave.", replied Stoick with a sadness in his voice. They decided not to push it and went to the tent from earlier and waited there. They waited for what felt like hours, until Max entered the tent.
"I can't believe he did that.", exclaimed Max as he entered.
"Who?", asked Alanine.
"Stoick. He's going to banish all of them for failing the test.", answered Max. "Even his own son. What kind of father does that?!"
"Max, calm down.", said Alanine. "It isn't his call. It would be chaos if he did otherwise. The best thing we can do now is to find some way to help Hiccup and Fishlegs."
"You're right.", replied Max as he calmed down a little. "I don't know where Fishlegs is but Hiccup should still be on the beach."
"Then let's go talk to him.", said Balin. Then the three exited the tent and into the pouring rain. There, right by the shore line, stood Hiccup with his clothes soaked to his skin. Toothless sat miserably next to him. They approached him but Hiccup took no notice of them or if he did he didn't show it.
"Just once!", yelled Hiccup to the sky. "Why couldn't you let me be a hero just once! I didn't want anything amazing, just to pass this stupid test so I could become a proper viking like everybody else!" Lighting boomed and crackled overhead. "Ok then, hit me with your stupid lightning! Just do something to show you're thinking about me at all!" But Hiccup was not struck down by lightning but instead fell to his knees and began to cry. Balin walk up to him and put his hand on his shoulder.
"It's going to be ok Hiccup.", said Balin calmly.
"How can it be ok when I am about to lose everything: my home, my family, my tribe, everything.", said Hiccup.
"Not everything, you still have all of us.", replied Balin. "We will find a way to make things right."
"Promise?", asked Hiccup.
"Promise.", replied Balin. "Now come on, let's get you out of the rain." He then helped Hiccup get up and guided him back to the house. "Head off to bed and we will figure something out." Hiccup was about to protest then he suddenly looked very sleepy and let out a large yawn. He then left without a word of complaint. Balin then looked at Alanine. "What did you do?"
"Hey it could have not been me.", said Alanine. Balin then gave him a look demanding an answer. "It was a weak Sleep spell. It isn't strong enough to be used on enemies or instant sleep, but it will make someone drowsy."
"So what is our plan for helping Hiccup?", asked Max.
"What if we, along with Hiccup do something heroic and save the tribe from some calamity and let Hiccup get the credit for it?", suggested Balin.
"Now all we need to do is cause a disaster for Hiccup to save the tribe from.", replied Max.
"Actually I think one is already on the way.", responded Alanine. "I sense something big coming. An evil thing that has slumbered for countless years that will soon awake."
"Something from Xanheart?", asked Balin.
"No. I believe this darkness is native to this world.", answered Alanine.
"Then we best be ready for tomorrow.", said Balin. "I just hope that Hiccup is up for the task." Elsewhere, the storm continued to rage and sent large waves from the depths of the sea and washed two gigantic dragons from it. The first dragon was about the size of a large-ish cliff and was enough to give one nightmares. The second was gobsmackingly vast and enough to give one's nightmares nightmares. The smaller of the two was still in a deep sleep as where the other was in a light sleep and in his sleep ate the smaller one whole. In doing so, some of the seafloor stuck to the giant monster fell off to reveal the true color of his scales, a dark green, the color of the ocean itself. It was not till the next morning that anyone found the living mountain of a dragon. The next morning, the group awoke to a commotion outside. They quickly grabbed their things and went outside with Hiccup. Once outside, they saw a large group all moving toward the Great Hall. Among the group was Fishlegs.
"What's going on Fishlegs?", asked Hiccup.
"An enormous has appeared on the shore and Chief Stoick has called a meeting to find a way to deal with it.", answered Fishlegs. "It looks like we still have some time before we are banished."
"Hey wait a minute, where is Toothless?", asked Balin. Hiccup then realizes that Toothless was not perched on his normal spot. They then looked all around and saw that the only dragons around where Shadow and Hikaru.
"He must have gone when to others did. But we don't have time to look of them.", said Hiccup. "I just hope he's ok." Balin and Alanine looked toward their dragons.
"Do you guys think you can find him?", asked Alanine.
"We won't let you guys down.", answered Shadow before he and Hikaru lept from their arms and took to the sky and then disappeared.
"Just stay safe.", said Balin. They all then quickly ran to the Great Hall and got as close as they could to Stoick and began listening.
"Of course We need to do something about it, but first we need to know what in the name of Thor and Woden we are dealing with here!", yelled Stoick. Then an old man came forward toward him.
"Who is that Hiccup?", asked Balin.
"That's Old Wrinkly.", answered Hiccup. Then Old Wrinkly began speaking.
"If I am correct, this particular dragon is a Sea-dragonus Giganticus Maximus, and a particularly big one at that. Very cruel, very intelligent, and a ravenous appetite. But my field is not large reptiles and I suggest that you consult Professor Yobbish's book on the subject.", said Old Wrinkly.
"Yes, How to Train Your Dragon, bring it over here.", said Stoick. A small, ornate book was then handed to him. He then opened up and then read out loud. "Yell at it! The louder the better." He then closed the book. "Well then that settles it: we will all yell at it at the same time for it to go away and it will do just that. Everyone follow me and we'll show this overgrown reptile what Burkeans are made of!" Then all of the vikings followed Stoick out, leaving only Balin, Alanine, Hiccup, and Fishlegs in the Great Hall.
"This plan is never going to work.", said Hiccup. "Yelling may work on a dragon lion sized or smaller, but anything larger than that, at best, will just ignore you. At worse it will kill you in the most painful way it has at it's disposal." Meanwhile, Balin picked up the book and looked in it and all that was written in it was what Stoick had said.
"This can't be it. There has to be more than just seven words. Wheres the rest?", said Balin.
"There is no rest. That is all there is and was.", replied Hiccup. "I know, I looked. But for normal vikings in normal circumstances, that's all you need."
"But these aren't normal circumstances.", said Alanine.
"Right. That's why their plan is doomed to fail.", replied Hiccup.
"Then we'll need to come up with some other plan, but in order to do that we need to go see this mountain of a dragon ourselves.", said Alanine.
"I was afraid you'd say that.", mumbled Fishlegs. They all then went outside and the moment they did they heard a blood curdling roar that promised death, destruction, and all things horrible. Before they could ask what that was, Gobber appeared sailing over head and then disappearing in the distance.
"Well that's our cue.", said Balin before they began sprinting in the direction Gobber had come from.
"What will happen to Gobber?", asked Max as they ran.
"He'll be fine. He's bound to land on something soft.", answered Hiccup. They continued on and then over the horizon appeared what looked like a giant green mountain that had appeared over night, but as they got closer they could tell that it wasn't a mountain, but the giant dragon. A few yards away from it was the crowd of vikings, that looked like ants in comparison to the great beast.
"Wow! That thing is enormous!", exclaimed Balin. "I don't think our Keyblades will be able to even put a dent in that thing!"
"Then let's hope that we won't need to fight it.", said Hiccup. They continued until they reach the crowd that had left earlier and pushed past toward the front.
"... What we need now is to send someone to go talk with this beast and ask if it comes in peace or war.", said Stoick over the crowd.
"Wouldn't we need someone that knows Dragonese to do that?", asked someone in the crowd.
"Hiccup knows Dragonese.", said Fishlegs.
"What are you doing?", asked Hiccup.
"The only chance we have is for someone to go talk to that thing and you're the only one I know who can do it.", answered Fishlegs. "Hiccup knows Dragonese!" A silence came over the crowd as they all turned their attention to Hiccup. The crowd parted silently for him as he, Balin, and Alanine made their way toward Stoick.
"Hiccup.", said Stoick with a little bit of embarrassment creeping into his voice. "I'm sorry about the whole banishment thing. I'm sure that I speak for all of us when I say that in this situation that none of us can handle, that you can consider yourself unbanished and ask that you go forth and talk to the dragon and ask if it comes in peace or war." Hiccup said nothing. "Son, please." Hiccup just looked down at the ground. Balin put his hand on Hiccup's shoulder and gave him a nod. Alanine also gave him one.
"Alright.", said Hiccup. "I will go talk to the dragon."
"And we'll be right there with you.", replied Alanine. They then turned toward the dragon and began walking as the crowd cheered them on. They continued on toward the dragon as the cries of the crowd became softer and softer as they went farther out of earshot and the dragon seeming bigger and bigger.
"It's so big.", said Hiccup as his courage wavered. "How are we ever going to deal with something that big?"
"I don't know, but we will find a way.", replied Balin. "You have to stay strong Hiccup. You can't give up now!"
"Your right. I have to do this.", said Hiccup as they continued on. "A quick question, where does all that strength of your's come from?"
"We might just tell you after we make it through this.", said Balin. Hiccup was a little annoyed by them not telling, but accepted it, as it was they were close to the enormous dragon. As they got closer, they heard something that sounded like singing coming from the dragon's stomach area. They listened hard as the words began to make sense.
"Watch me, Great Destroyer, as I settle down for lunch. Killer whales are tasty cos they've got a lot of crunch. Great white sharks are scrumptious, but here's a little tip: those teeny weeny pointy teeth can give a nasty nip.", sang the voice.
"How odd,", said Hiccup. "he can sing with his mouth shut." Just then the giant dragon opened both of it's fiery, piercing green eyes.
"Why so odd?", said the dragon who appeared to be amused by the humans before him. "A dragon with his eyes shut is not necessarily sleeping, so it follows that a dragon with his mouth shut is not necessarily singing. All is not what it seems, young heroes. That noise you hear is not me at all, but is the sound of a singing supper."
"A singing supper?", asked Hiccup. "I've heard of singing for your supper, but what is a singing supper?"
"A good question,", replied the dragon with surprise in Hiccup's question. "an excellent question in fact. It has been a long time since a supper has shown such intelligence. They are usually too bound up with their little lives to bother asking the Really Big Questions. Now let's see…, how to put this in a way that a brain so much smaller and less clever than mine can understand? The thing is, we are all, in sense, supper. Walking, talking, breathing suppers. Take you three for instance, you three are about to be eaten by me, so that makes you all supper. Of course thats obvious. But even a giant murderous carnivore like myself will be supper for worms one day. We're all snatching precious moments from the peaceful jaws of time. That's why it's so important for the supper to sing as beautifully as it can." He then gestured to his stomach where the singing could still be heard, just more faintly than before.
"Humans can be bland, but if you have some salt to hand, a little bit of brine, will make them taste divine.", sang the voice.
"That particular supper that you hear singing now, was a dragon rather smaller than me, but very full of himself. I ate him not to long ago.", said the dragon.
"But isn't that cannibalism?", asked Hiccup.
"It's delicious,", answered the dragon. "besides, you can't call an artist like myself a cannibal. You are very rude for such a small person. Now, what is it that you want, Little Supper?"
"We have come to find out if you come in peace or in war." answered Hiccup.
"Peace, I think.", answered the dragon. "But I'm still going to eat you. All of you. You three first and then everyone else after I've had a nap and gotten my appetite back. It takes some time to completely wake up from a deep Sleep Coma."
"But how is that fair!", yelled Hiccup. "How come you get to eat everyone just because you are bigger than everybody else?"
"It's just the way of the world.", answered the dragon simply. "Besides, you'll see things much differently once you are inside me. That is the marvelous thing about digestion." Then the dragon looked as if it remembered something. "I completely forgot to introduce myself, and I can't have you be eaten by me if you don't know my name. I am the Green Death. And what be your name Little Supper?"
"My name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third.", answered Hiccup. As Hiccup said his name, an extraordinary thing happened, the Green Death trembled as if his very name cause for great fear. However, only Balin and Alanine noticed this, but Hiccup and the Green Death did not.
"I'm sure I've heard that name before. But it is a mouthful, so I will just call you Little Supper.", commented the Green Death. He then turned his attention to Balin and Alanine. "And what be your names, other Little Suppers?"
"Our names are Balin and Alanine,", said Balin as they then presented their Keyblades. "And we are Keyblade wielders of the light."
"Keyblade wielders, I thought all of those were long gone. Ever since that last Keyblade War, there hasn't been a trace of them here.", said Green Death. "But I suppose that is just because they haven't ever come to this world in all this time, that they weren't alive in other worlds." Then the Green Death let out a large yawn. "You have bought yourselfs more time by keeping me talking like this." Then the Green Death closed its eyes and quickly began snoring. Hiccup, Balin, and Alanine took this as their time to go back to the village. When they returned, they found all the vikings had gathered once again in the Great Hall and they cheered for the three of them when they entered. The crowd parted as they made their way toward Stoick. Stoick then raised his hand to show that he wanted the crowd to quiet down.
"So does the beast come in peace or war?", asked Stoick.
"He says that he comes in peace.", said Hiccup. A cheer went through the crowd. Hiccup raised his hand to show that there was more. "But he is still going to try to eat us all." The crowd was dead silent.
"Well now that we know the beast's intent, we must come up with a way to get rid of it.", said Stoick. "Any plan would be good right now."
"We could try yelling louder.", suggested one viking. He was followed by other ideas that didn't seem to even have a chance at success. Hiccup sighed and then walked out of the Great Hall and was closely followed by Balin, Alanine, and Max.
"They're never going to come up with a plan that is even remotely clever", said Hiccup.
"So what do we do now then Hiccup?", asked Balin.
"Yeah, what do we do now Hiccup?", said a voice. They turned around and found the other viking boys from the Thor's Day Thursday test there behind them.
"I can't believe this!?", yelled a voice that turned out to be Snotlout. "You all are asking Useless to save you all!?" Balin angrily walked up to him, grabbed him by the front of his tunic and lifted him off the ground.
"You listen up Snotface and listen good! Hiccup is the only one who knows dragons well enough to come up with a plan that can save all our butts, so unless you become an expert on all things dragon in the next five seconds I suggest that you shut up!", threatened Balin. He then let go of Snotlout dropping him onto the ground. Snotlout took his advice and stayed quiet. "So as I said, what do we do now Hiccup?" Then suddenly Fishlegs came running toward them and stopped before Hiccup before trying to catch his breath.
"What's wrong Fishlegs?", asked Alanine.
"There's… there's another… one…. another monster dragon.", answered Fishlegs between breaths. "You… can see it… from the hill."
"Alright then, let's go see this new monster.", said Hiccup. They began walking, but Balin stopped Max.
"We need you to stay behind and make sure that the adults don't do anything stupid. Can you handle that?",said Balin.
"It may be a difficult challenge, but you can count on me.", answered Max before he went back into the Great Hall.
They made their way to the top of the hill outside the village and saw the new dragon. It looks just like the Green Death, only this one was purple. "Purple Death, I presume.", said Hiccup.
"This is just great, now we have two of them.", said Alanine with sarcasm.
"Actually, this could work in our favor.", replied Hiccup.
"You have a plan, don't you?", asked Balin.
"Yup.", answered Hiccup.
"Is it cunning?", asked Balin.
"Could be classified as such.", replied Hiccup.
"Is it desperate?", asked Balin.
"Most definitely.", answered Hiccup.
"Slim chance of success in a large chance of fail and painful death?", asked Balin.
"That sums up our chances.", replied Hiccup.
"We're in.", replied Balin.
"Ok then, first we'll need our dragons. Hopefully they aren't too far to hear us.", said Hiccup. "But I want Shadow and Hikaru to keep looking for Toothless."
"Alright you heard the man, start calling your dragons.", ordered Alanine to the other vikings. Each one began calling there dragons' names and after a few minutes, each of them had a dragon waiting for further orders.
"Now we need to gather as much feathers and things to pack them into as we can get our hands on.", said Hiccup.
"Feathers!", exclaimed Snotlout. "You really think we can defeat something like this with feathers! Steel is the only language these things know!"
"The feathers are to act as a distraction to disorient them so they won't kill anyone while we enact the main part of the plan.", explained Hiccup. "Now I'm going to need two dragons to volunteer for an even more dangerous task than the others will. They will have to be the bravest, fastest ,and most agile." Two dragons stepped forward, one of which was Hookfang. "Ok then, Balin, Alanine, and you two come with me, and the rest of you start gathering and making those feather bombs."
"You heard him, let's move!", said Balin. The rest of the boys and their dragons quickly left.
"Ok then,", said Hiccup as he turned toward the dragons. "I'm going to need you two to say exactly what I'm about to tell you."
(Later that same day) It was time to act Hiccup's plan, which was affectionately called the Cunning But Desperate Plan. Hiccup along with Balin and half the other viking teens with their dragons stood not to far from the Green Death. Each dragon had a couple of feather bombs in their claws as they flew above the dragon's enormous head. Hiccup then gave the signal to begin dropping the feather bombs. The bombs made direct hits as they exploded inside the Green Death's giant nostrils. This caused the monster to awake with a large cough. Hookfang then flew into the Green Death's ear and gave the speech that Hiccup had come up with.
"Greetings, O Seadragonus Pusillanimus Minimus, from my master, the Terror of the Seas.", said Hookfang in the dragon's ear. "He feels like feasting on the vikings and if you get in his way he will feast on YOU. Swim away, little seaslug, and you will be safe. But stay on this island and you will feel the sharpness of his claws and the fierceness of his fire." The Green Death tried to swat at the tiny dragon, but Hookfang quickly dodged out of the way. "You can not win, you puny worm! Wiggle back to the sea where you belong and let my master have his supper." The Green Death was now furious and angerly swiped and missed yet again. "How can you think to beat my master if you can't even beat me!" The Green Death continued after Hookfang as the small dragon continued to dodge out of reach and lead him away toward the cliffs on far side of the island and away from the village. Soon over the horizon came the Purple Death, being lead there by Alanine's team. "Here is my master, the Purple Horror, the one who will rip you limb from limb." Hookfang quickly flew away as the Deaths began to focus on each other. The Green Death made the first move by pouncing on the Purple Death and going for it's underbelly. The Purple Death retaliated with a claw attack aimed at the Green Death's face. Soon a horrific, but yet elegant battle to the death began, destroying the terrain the giant beasts fought on. Suddenly as it began, it ended with both Deaths down on the ground, unmoving and everything silent.
"They're dead. They're dead!", said Fishlegs. A great cheer went through the teens as they were relieved that it was over. But Hiccup and Alanine still had worried looks on their faces and straining their ears, as if trying to hear something in the distance.
"I don't hear anything.", said Hiccup.
"Isn't that good? What are you trying to…", started Balin before he realized what they were listening for. "Oh no!"
"Desert!", yelled Hookfang. He and the other dragons then took off as the Green Death started to move and get back on it's feet. Hiccup and Alanine had been listening for Green Death's death song, and although heavily wounded, he wasn't dead yet.
"So Hiccup, remind me what plan B was again.", said Balin.
"We didn't have a plan B.", replied Hiccup.
"Then what should we do now?", asked Balin.
"Run!", yelled Hiccup as the took off running.
"I can get behind this plan. It is a very good plan!", yelled Balin as they ran. As they ran, the Green Death let out a furriest, and blood-curdling roar before he began chasing them.
"You can not run from me Little Supper!", yelled The Green Death. He then breathed fire, cutting off Balin, Alanine, and Hiccup's escape. They looked frantically for another way, but the Green Death had caught them and scooped them all up into his claws. They struggled frantically, but could not escape the Green Death's grip. "Now we're both supper." He then threw them into his mouth and swallowed them whole. Down, down the dragon's throat they went before landing on a slimey platform unharmed. Balin quickly got up.
"Are you guys ok?", asked Balin.
"I'm fine, but Hiccup got scratched on the tip of a spear when we fell.", answered Alanine. Sure enough, right next to Hiccup was a spear with a decorative head and it's tip red with Hiccup's blood. As for Hiccup himself, he had a small scratch down the side of his right leg, which bleed slightly. Hiccup picked up the spear and used it for support as he stood up. Balin fished out a potion and tossed it to Hiccup. Hiccup drank it and the wound on his leg faded. They then took in their surroundings: the platform was a light purple that contrasted heavily against the red walls of the dragon's throat, also there were several raised areas around the edges of the platform and a big one in the center. Far above them, they could hear the thrashing of the Green Death's tongue.
"Guys, if the Green Death ate us, what are we standing on?", asked Balin. Then suddenly from the raised parts close to the walls sprouted long blue tentacle like things with large black spikes at the ends and from the center erupted a creature that looked like the front half of a dragon with red eyes that gave an expression of happyness. On the center of it's chest was the Eclipsed symbol. "We're standing on a giant Eclipsed!" Then the Parasite Dragon let out a great roar as Balin, Alanine, and Hiccup (now armed with the spear) took up battle stances.
(Cue boss music) The Parasite Dragon began by swinging it's tentacles at Balin and Alanine, who dodge rolled out of the way. Then it breathed a green flame at Hiccup. Alanine quickly cast Reflera on Hiccup, shielding him from the attack. Then two tentacles near Balin and Alanine opened their spikes to fling balls of light green acid at them. Balin swung at the orbs at just the right time to send them back, causing the tentacles to retreat into their mounds. Meanwhile, Hiccup was fending off one of the tentacles as one came at him from behind, grabbed him, and started constricting him like a boa constrictor. Balin saw this and threw his Keyblade at the tentacle at the same time Balin cast Fira. The tentacle let go of Hiccup and retreated into it's mound. Then suddenly, the Parasite Dragon stretched out it's claws and grabbed Balin's Keyblade and pulled him in. It raised it's other claw, but before it could strike, Balin did a backwards somersault and kicked it's face, breaking it's grip. Balin then landed a heavy slash on the Parasite Dragon. The Parasite Dragon howled in pain before grabbing Balin by his torso and pinning him to the far wall. Then Alanine jumped on the stretched arm and ran along it. Several tentacles moved in to block his path. Hiccup then threw his spear at them, and as the spear flew by, Alanine hit it with his Keyblade further propelling it forward. It sent all the tentacles retreating into their mounds and lodging itself in the Parasite Dragon. Alanine reached the Parasite Dragon and dealt a heavy blow to it's head as he grabbed the spear and yanked it out. The Parasite Dragon then hit Alanine with it's free claw and sent him high into the air. The Parasite Dragon then reached with it's claw up toward Alanine as he fell, but then Alanine threw the spear at the oncoming claw, knocking it back. Alanine then followed that up with a dive attack on the Parasite Dragon, causing it to go limp and freeing Balin. Balin and Alanine then fused their Keyblades together to make Sharded Spell. Wind wrapped around them, increasing their speed. Then together with Hiccup, wailed on the Parasite Dragon. As it started to recover, Balin and Alanine did a cross cut, finishing it off. The Parasite Dragon let out one final roar as it then became limp and vanished in a swirl of darkness. A black crystal appeared, floated up some, and then disappeared. Then the platform beneath them began to vanish.
"Quick, onto the walls.", said Alanine as he logged his Keyblade into the wall of the Green Death's throat. Balin and Hiccup also logged their weapons just in time for the platform to completely vanish to reveal a pit of stomach acid right below them.
"Well this is definitely an 'out of the cooking pot and into the fire' moment.", commented Hiccup. Then they noticed something beside Hiccup, two small holes that occasionally a little fire came out of. "Interesting, those must be it's fire holes. Hey guys, I think I know a way to take this thing down." He then took off his helmet and put it into the fire holes, it was a perfect fit. "Now when he breathes fire next, the pressure might make him explode. The only draw back is that there will be no chance we can survive in here. So is there any chance you can answer my question?"
"I told you, after we survive this.", answered Balin. "We'll just have to hope our friends can get us out of here."
"You really think that's possible?", asked Hiccup.
"I'm very sure.", answered Balin. "We'll just have to hang in there till then." (I regret nothing.)
(Earlier) Elsewhere, Shadow and Hikaru flying over a field of dense grass as they then caught a whiff of the dragon they were looking for. Then they spotted his movement and landed right in front of Toothless. "We've been looking all over for you.", said Hikaru.
"Why?", asked Toothless.
"Because Hiccup is worried about you and our masters asked us to find you.", answered Shadow. Then suddenly, Shadow and Hikaru tensed up. "There are in trouble! Let's go Toothless!" Toothless hesitated at first, but followed them anyway. As they flew, they noticed the rest of the villagers not too far behind them. They arrived just in time to see the Green Death eat Balin, Alanine, and Hiccup. The three dragons just hovered there for a second in disbelief of what they just saw. Then Toothless snapped out of it and dived toward the Green Death, Shadow and Hikaru followed suit. The three dragons then flew up into the dragon's nose and began irritating the sides with their wings. The Green Death tried to force them out with a claw (disgusting, I know), Shadow and Hikaru dodged the claw, but Toothless got scratched by the claw and began to bleed green blood from the wound. "Toothless, your hurt."
"Toothless is fine.", replied Toothless. They then continued to irritate the nose until the Green Death let out an enormous sneeze, sending Hiccup and his spear, Balin, Alanine, Toothless, Shadow, Hikaru, and a disgusting amount of dragon snot flying. All six of them tumbled hard onto the ground, leaving bumps and bruises and knocking Hiccup unconscious. Balin and Alanine shakily stood up and faced the Green Death. Then Max and Stoick ran in front of them with their shields raised to defend them.
"Don't worry. This time I'll protect you.", said Max. Then the Green Death began to laugh.
"You really think those punny shields can protect them. My fire will melt them like butter.", mocked the Green Death. He then took in a deep breath and blew out, but yet no fire came forth. A smile came on Balin and Alanine's faces as a look of confusion came on the Green Death's. The Green Death tried again and no fire came out, but he began to expand rapidly. Then he just exploded with a great fiery boom. Max turned around to ask them for an explanation, but then a large piece of bone came straight at him as a tooth headed straight for Hiccup. Stoick jumped into action and shielded Hiccup from the tooth, barely keeping it from piercing Hiccup's body. At the same time Balin pushed Max out of the way of the bone, up it hit him on the head and knocking him out.
"Balin!", exclaimed Alanine as he hobbled over to him. Balin was bleeding from a wound on his head. "Cura." The wound on his head healed, but the skin over his head was still red. Alanine then fell to his hands and knees. He then looked over to Toothless and saw that he was bleeding quite a bit. "Cura" But before he could see what had happened, he passed out.
(Later) Balin layed in bed as he began to come to. He had a mild headache, but otherwise was just fine. He opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was Hikaru laying on his chest, right above his heart.
"You're awake!", exclaimed Hikaru with joy. He then began to lick Balin's face. Balin laughed as he tried to get Hikaru to stop.
"It's good to see you too Hikaru.", said Balin. Balin then sat up and saw Alanine and Shadow in the bed next to him. He too was also awake. "You ok bro?"
"A little stiff, but just fine.", answered Alanine. "You?"
"Head still a little sore, but nothing I can't bounce back from.", answered Balin. "Let's promise never to get eaten again."
"Agreed.", replied Alanine.
"You know it's now going to happen now right.", said Max as he entered the room.
"That still doesn't mean we can't try.", said Balin as he and Alanine jumped out of bed. "How is everyone?"
"Fine thanks to you guys.", said Max. "Oh, I found the some things that maybe of help." He then tossed a couple of objects to them and a bright light shined. Then their new Keyblades appeared in their hands. Balin's Keyblade had a white dragon head that was curved down and straight down to make the blade and teeth. The hilt was made of white wings with a stone that looked like a blue dragon eye where the blade and hilt met. The charm was a mini dragon that looked like Hikaru. Alanine's was the same, except that his was black.
"Lightkeeper.", said Balin.
"Shadow Tamer.", said Alanine.
"And I already have mine.", said Max as he summoned his new lanceshield. The shield piece was green with golden celtic knotwork designs and a bronze center. The lance piece looked like one of the Green Death's fangs. "This is Singing Supper." He then put his weapon away. "I also found the Keyhole. It's in a cave near where the Deaths were fighting."
"Then what are we waiting for.", said Balin as he jumped out of bed. "Let's go." They followed Max to a near by cave, where after a stone passage gave way to a large chamber, lay the Keyhole. Balin and Alanine summoned their Keyblades and sealed the Keyhole.
"What was that?", asked Hiccup as Balin, Alanine, and Max came out of the cave.
"That was us sealing this world's Keyhole.", answered Alanine. "Now this world should be safe from the Eclipsed. But that also means we have to leave now."
"We can come with you, right?", asked Hikaru.
"No, you guys can't.", said Balin. "Listen to us, we want you two to stay with Hiccup until we come back ok. We will come back."
"Promise you won't forget and or replace us?", asked Hikaru.
"We couldn't do that even if we tried.", replied Balin. The two dragons then walked sadly over to Hiccup.
"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on them for you.", said Hiccup. "I guess this is goodbye then."
"Nope, it's till we meet again.", said Balin. Then he, Alanine, and Max put on their armors, summoned their gliders, and left the world. Tears began to come from Hikaru's eyes as Shadow put a claw on his shoulder.
"I know, I miss them already too.", said Shadow.
Ok, another chapter bites the dust. If some of you are disappointed because it is not based off the movie, I am sorry. Let me know what you think in the comments below. Also I may or may not have side projects that will also pop up, but don't worry, I will work and some day (loooong down the road) finish this. As always, I hope to see you all next time. Oh and Happy Easter to everyone.
