I wake up before Ventus, but I stay where I am. The sound of his snoring is actually adorable, like a kitten. It is peaceful again. Because of that, I stare into the ocean. The waves travel back and forth. Watching this is making me feel relaxed and sleepy again. Then I close my eyes, and Ventus moves around a bit.

"Xion, wake up!" When I come to, Ventus is smiling in front of me. He seems to be happier than before. "What do you want to do today?"

"I don't really know what there is to do though, but I guess I want to explore this island a little bit." My stomach rumbled. "Wait, Ven, is there anything to eat here?"

"Not really, you just starve but not die. You see, the laws of living inside a heart is different than those of the Realm of Light." He stares into the sea, and Ventus sighs. "There aren't even fish in the sea or fruit in the trees."

"No sea salt ice cream I guess then." A tear falls down my eye. The ice cream was a token of Axel, Roxas, and I's friendship, but that's gone now. "Hey, what did you use to do here?"

"Let me show you." Ventus summons his keyblade and points it to the sand. He swirled it around, so there is a pattern being formed. When he lifts it up, I see my name in beautiful cursive on the ground.

"Wow, what else can you do!" I'm foreign with the idea of creating things out of sand, but it looks awesome. Then, at my request, Ventus writes down his name as well.

"Oh, let me do something," I say, happiness in my voice. With that out of the way, I summon my keyblade. It can be useful in this situation even if it's just a sham like me. "This is going to be awesome."

"I'm so excited to see what it is!" Ventus runs over to where I'm at. Eagerness is in his eyes, and I'm so grateful to see this side of him.

"You'll see," responds I. Then I draw three stick figures with my keyblade. I made the three of them sitting on the station roof, looking at the sun set, eating ice cream. "It's me and my friends..." Only a single tear fell down my face. Ventus wipes it off, and I notice that his eyes twinkle in the sunlight.

"I'm sure they all hold the memory of you close to their hearts."

"No...they all forgot me a long time ago. The last thing I did was talk to Riku through that keyblade before my will traveled here," I answer. "Because I'm replica of Sora's memories, every memory of me was given to him." I burst into tears, so Ven hugs me. His eyes became watery as well. Letting go of me, he uses his keyblade to draw three stick figures smiling and holding charms.

"Hey..." Ventus' voice drifts off as he hits the ground. This time there was no darkness, so I rush towards his body. "Not again!"

"Okay, I think we just need to something...Okay, just take deep breaths, in and out. Do it slowly..."

"Sorry, Xion, but this isn't that type of situation for breathing..." Ventus coughed. More coughs follow it and land of the sands underneath him.

"Is there anything that can help you?" I question, voice shaking.

"Holy water..." Before any more words come out, the cough interrupt him. I frown as I realize I did not have any of it on me.

"Ven, is there anything else?" His clothes change to something that looks like a dress. Ventus' eyes widen, and I irrationally hug him. "No, I won't let you go! If you go, I'll truly be alone in this requiem." I close my blue eyes, expecting the worst.

"This isn't a requiem, Xion, or I'll be dead." When I open my eyes, I notice Ventus is back to normal. I pull myself away from him. "That was a really close call. Thank you Xion for helping me." Ven's smile returns to his face.

"You're welcome, but I want you to tell me the truth about a few things. What is happening to you and whose Vanitas?"

"Vanitas is my darkness. He possessed me before, and I can't bare to think about the things he might have done to Aqua. We created the X-blade with our bond. Now, he's trying to take over me again to gain the X-blade and truly live again. It's been happening ever since Sora became a heartless."

"That was right before I was created," I inform. "It must have been painful to live alone when a dark being is trying to take your body as its new vessel."
