H-Hey everyONE. Haven't updated this in quite a while... But In my defense I actually don't have enough motivation or time to continuously work on this story with all the stuff I have going on. Mainly School, constant Arting and other stuff. BUT I will be finishing this story, even if it kills me! Especially when people show interest in this story. If not for you lovely people, I might have actually abandoned this story. Seeing all the reviews from current and older chapter really get me going and ready to write!
CocoDaBoss: Actually, I am an artist, Or at least I like to think I am. (Cough, Cough Enter shameless promotion here:) I haven't added my picture of Violet to it mainly because I only made that for the story cover and it's not really my drawing style either.
DarkQueenOfWonderland: Of COURSE. That was my initial plan before even writing this story. Mal is one of my favorite characters and there isn't much OC fancition with him, which is a shame really.
Madison Wooten: 12? Well, I guess I consider that young... But, even I, a 17 year old about to go off to college, calls her parents Mommy and daddy. So I totally get it and its not weird at all. Also, I can respect a healthy dislike for "Evil" character. I love her, so I hope you can become a little more fond of her in future chapters/stories.
Guest: Your wish is my command. ^^
Enjoy!
"Last time on Total Drama revenge of the island, an awesome aerial battle turned into a huge failure when Cameron blew up Jo's Hot air balloon, that he made, sinking any chance at her winning the challenge. Zoey was antagonized by Scott and Violet sicked Fang on him. Haha, nice. I'll even look over her crushing my hand. Cleo and Jean solidified their new gross relationship, but made no progress in the actual challenge. In the end, It was Jo the tomboy who got the catapult. Too bad, so sad. Well, not really. Who'll be getting the boot next? Find out now on Total Drama revenge of the island!
Chapter 12: Escape from the Asylum
Within the depths of a large building were the last seven contestants of Total Drama Island. A certain black haired girl was violently tossing and turning in an induced slumber, almost as if she was possessed by something. Her eyes were shut tight while her teeth and fists were clenched.
Flashback:
A woman with ginger red hair and blue eyes gazed into a one way mirror at a child in a straight-jacket. Flanking her, was her worried husband. A tall man of British decent, with black hair and dark brown eyes and a man who had graying black hair and was stout in his build. "Lucia Abernathy… Multiple personality disorder… Signs of bipolar disorder early in life. Extremely violent and prone to injure other patients. Has escaped confinement over 30 times in the last 2 years… 5 times from a straight jacket… " The aging man skimmed through a report. "Mrs. Blake…" He began in exasperation, his eyes glancing back and forth between the woman and the restrained child, "After seeing this report and diagnosis, I strongly advise against this…" he said while pinching the bridge of his nose.
Her husband spoke up as well, "Dr. Grayson is right, Holly." He concurred, "I don't know what that old man told you to make you want to do this but, this girl… She's beyond help." he clenched his teeth at his wife's stubbornness.
"She isn't some criminal, Zane! She's a victim of circumstance! Besides, I've made my decision." Holly walked away from the the two perturbed men and entered the soft room. Inside was a black haired girl who was muttering to herself angrily as she sat unmoving in the middle of the room.
"Stupid… Tramp… It's all her fault… We're in here…"
Holly slowly inched towards the girl, not wanting to startle her. She quickly whipped her head around at the sound of soft foot steps entering her cushy room, her long black hair pooled around her where she sat and her blood red eyes gazed questionably at Holly. With an angry glare she stumbled to her feet and inched away. Holly reached her hand out to the girl and smiled warmly, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you."
'As if you could hurt me…' The girl thought, narrowing her eyes at the woman. She inched away further from the woman's friendly gesture.
"What's your name?" Holly asked, stepping forward some more. As she reached her hand out Luci opened up her mouth and bit the woman, making her pull back her hand in pain, "Stay away from us." The red eyed girl hissed.
Holly took a deep breath, 'Is this her…? Or the other personality… She… They are only children. I know they don't belong here…' She thought. The two men were about to send someone in after her, when Holly marched over to the door, "You will not send in anyone, unless I say so. No one will harm her." They nodded and closed the door. Holly took another deep breath and walked towards the aggressive girl. "I'm only here to help you, Lucia. Or whoever I'm speaking to right now."
Luci took another step back, bumping into the wall behind her. "I said stay away! We don't need help!" She yelled almost demonically. Holly closed her eyes and opened them again, her resolve hardening. She continued walking towards the girl, despite her screaming. The woman wrapped her arms around Luci gently. I won't let them hurt you. Neither of you." Luci's red eyes opened wide at the declaration and thrashed around more eventually biting down on Holly's shoulder. She cringed in pain but wouldn't move, "I'm going to take you home with you. I will be your new mother and protect you from the bad people, okay? I'll love you like no one else."
Luci eyes opened her eyes and she was inside the mind plain. "What the- Why am I here?! Where's Lucia?"
"She's where you won't hurt her anymore…" A voice said. Luci whipped her head around a whisp of white smoke in the shape of a girl appeared behind her. "Say hello to your new home." The door of a scary looking black hole suddenly appeared behind her, pulling her inside.
It was pitch black inside, "What?! No, don't lock me in there! I-I'm scared of the darkness! No! NO!" Luci screamed as she was forcibly pulled into the room. The door locked and chains kept it shut.
"You don't like Lucia?" Holly's voice echoed through the empty space of subconscious, "Alright then, I'll give you a new name… How about Violet…? It's like the flower. Do you like that?" The whisp split into four whisps of different colors and dispersed into separate sections.
Luci's eyes shot open and she sat up looking around her. She was inside a cell. But she was no longer a child, like in her nightmare. This was reality. The room was a lot like the room from her nightmare, one not as soft. Obviously not meant to keep her in like back at the asylum. There was a large window and a door and she could hear the faint sound of other voices waking up further away. She looked down as he hands by the faint glow of a screen next to her, "Violet... Total drama..." She whispered.
This was definitely reality.
"What the? They knocked out the Lightning again?!" Lightning yelled, waking up his cell mate.
"Could you be any louder?" Scott complained groggily, "I'm trying to sle- Wait, Where are we? Why are you in my room?"
"Man, we're not in your room!" Lightning snapped.
TD Confessional:
"Man, I cant believe this happened again!" Lighting said folding his arms. "Chris be playing too much! Knocking The Lightning out with food, you can't mess with the Lightning like that! It's not right!"
"You're insane, Chris! What kind of TV host drugs their contestants!?" Cleo exclaimed in her cell. She looked around at the dimly lit room and tripped over a body. "Jean?"
Jean groaned and held his head as he slowly sat up, "Cleo? What happened?" Cleo merely sighed and helped him up to his feet.
"Looks like our food was tampered with again." Cleo responded. "This has to be against the law."
"Since when does he care about that?" Jean said.
"True. The island was filled of toxic waste. If it still isn't." Cleo replied.
"Huh? What is this? Are we in prison?" Zoey exclaimed, waking up. "Chef must have put something in our dinner again! Cam?"
Cameron held his head in fatigue, looking around the room and out of the window in to hallway, "I'm fine. And this isn't a normal prison…" He said fearfully, "We're in an asylum."
"Correct! You guys are in the observation rooms of the old Cartry asylum for the mental and criminally insane which we flew in for today's challenge." Chris' face appeared on a screen left of all the cell walls,
"Chris…" Luci was hunched over with a hand cover one of her eyes, both of which were widened with rage. Her heart pounded in her chest, "Only he would have that audacity…" She seethed.
"Today's challenge will be to escape from Cartry asylum. First thing you want to do is find your key, the only way out of your cozy little rooms and the the only way into those little boxes on the wall across from the rooms. In pairs, you all will be running though the asylum, avoiding the guards who we've paid handsomely to aggressively bring you back to your rooms for 'your medicine'. Using your clues each team has to find the item mentioned in the boxes somewhere in the asylum and escape the building before time is up. Since there are seven of you one of you lucky campers will be doing this challenge without a partner. Zoey and Cameron will be team red, Lightning and Scott will be team Blue, Jean and Cleo will be team green and that means Violet will be the loner in Team Purple." Chris said.
"Violet's going alone? Oh, no! That isn't fair at all!" Zoey exclaimed worriedly.
"Would you rather it be you?" Chris asked,
"Well, no not really-"
"Then, don't complain. Out of the kindness of my heart, I'll be giving you a 20 second head start, Violet. Starting now. Whichever team makes it out the building first wins immunity. The team who is last will be eliminated." Chris explained.
"The team will be eliminated?" Scott asked.
"That's right. Two people will be eliminated tonight, depending on the team that looses. You have 2 hours to exit the building with your random object. Ready? GO!" Chris chuckled at the last statement before his image faded to black.
'Deep breaths… Deep breaths…' Luci chanted in her head, in an attempt to calm herself down and not punch a hole into the wall. "An asylum escape challenge…? Right up my alley…"
Luci walked over to the corner of the observation cell, picking up the metal chair.
"Hey, what are you doing with that? Put that down!" Chris said, as she dragged the metal chair towards the two way window. He was unaware that the sound was still on in all of the televisions and not just Violet's, alerting everyone else.
"Sorry cant hear you..." Luci chuckled darkly and smashed the window open, the glass fell unceremoniously to the floor outside the cell. She hopped out of the cell and broke the box open, taking her clue out of the box. "Looks like the key wasn't the only way." She said, walking off with the piece of the chair that was still intact.
"I wonder what happened to Chris to make him freak out like that." Jean asked.
"I don't know but I did hear some glass break." Cleo said, leaning on the wall . "Let's find the key so we can get out of here. I don't want a repeat of the last challenge."
"Uh, yeah..." Jean said, not wanting to start an argument.
Lightning was pulling on the door of the observation room and yelling, annoying Scott to no end. "Will you stop screaming?! We have a clue and a key to find."
"Lightning is a man and men do not scream. It was a battle cry!" Lightning said, slamming his fist on his chest.
"Whatever, we have to find a key in this room somewhere." Scott said. He threw the sheets off of the hard metal bed and found nothing. "Where could anything be found in here? It's a single room! Unless..."
"Hey, I found the key!" Zoey exclaimed. She'd been sitting on the bed when something poked her butt from inside the bedding. "It was lucky I decided to sit down or we would have never found it."
"Hey, look the key is in the window sill. Just... Gotta reach... It... There we go." Cleo said, pulling it out. "That was weirdly easy... I bet our item is something ridiculously hard to find."
"Don't jinx us now." Jean said, as Cleo opened the door.
"I've looked everywhere in this stupid room and no key. I'm not losing this challenge, so how about actually lending me a hand, Jock Strap?" Scott said to Lightning, borrowing Jo's nickname.
"Lightning's got a better idea, we can just break down this door." She said ramming into the door, only to yell in pain.
"That door is made of steel, there isn't enough manpower in that room to break that door." Chris said.
"Then where's the key?" Scott said, already getting annoyed. He leaned back on the door and it caved in a bit. "What the?" He pulled back the poster of Chris from season one of Total Drama and found a hole about one or two inches into the wall. And inside was a grey key. "The key! Let's go." He opened the door and stepped out.
"Whoo! Team man!" He said running out.
"Ugh..." Scott groaned.
TD Confessional:
"With Meat head on my team and my genius we're a shoe in for victory in this challenge. Everyone else is definitely going down." Scott said smirking.
"Y'know I don't really like speaking badly about people but, I think Chris belongs here. First he feeds us mutant turkey, knocks us out than sets us adrift. Now he's locked us up in an insane asylum and who knows how he knocked us out this time." Zoey said before sighing. "Violet's all alone in this crazy place too. We have to make sure we find her. I don't think their are any rules against that."
"When I'm new I'm shiny and sharp to the core, but I dull over time and I'm not anymore. If I'm used the wrong way you may have to atone, It's best to avoid me in hands that are not your own. What am I? Would that be a knife? I'd better head to a kitchen." Luci asked herself with a grin on her face. She slipped the paper into her pocket and looked around the dark hallway. It was dimly lit by electric lamps inside of small cages, her eyes narrowed a bit and gnashed her teeth a bit. "It's too damn similar to that hellhole..."
"Hey, you!" A heavy male voice called. Luci turned her head and a mildly large man who looked he was in his mid 40's. "Looks like I've got me an escaped patient. You'd better head back to your room girly. You're late for your medicine."
Luci glared heatedly at the white coated man, but changed to a grin. "I bet you think you're pretty big and bad don't you?" She sat down cross-legged on the chair, "Well? Do you feel big and bad? Preying on an innocent sixteen year old girl. Not surprising a that scummy idiot like you works for Chris."
"What was that you brat?!" The man yelled getting closer to Luci's sitting form.
"I called you scum, you Idiot! Are you gonna do something about it?!" She said with a big grin on her face. In rage, the man began running towards her, she quickly got up and grabbed her chair, smashing it into his face. "Well, that was easy enough. Gullible..."
She bent down to the now unconscious man, stealing his GPS. "Well, what do we have here?" She turned it on and the locations of the other contestants and objects they had to find appeared on the screen. "Oh, ho~ Looks like my knife is on the first floor kitchen. I wonder if they all have these or maybe just this guy. Either way, this'll really come in handy. Closest to me is... Jean and Cleo. Nice, they aren't really a threat or useful to me."
TD Confessional:
"Can anyone really complain? He was coming at me. I was only protecting myself from him." Luci said, shrugging her shoulders with a grin on her face. "You know what they say... Do anything to survive."
"Tear me off, Scratch my head, What once was red, is black instead. What am I?" Zoey read as she and Cameron walked down the first hallway they saw when they left their room.
"I think that's matches... But, where in this huge place are we going to find a match and escape. Uh, Zoey...? Did you hear that?" Cameron said suddenly becoming frightened at the sound of loud clanging nearby. "Maybe, It's the guards."
"We cant keep running away at every noise, we have to focus on finding matches and Violet while were at it." The clanging suddenly got louder " But... I guess if were going to find them then not getting caught would be best." They hid behind a large pillar and watches as two guards in white male nurse outfits walked past.
"What? Chief Thomson is out could in the northern side?" One of the guards said.
"How'd that happen? No way any of those kids could do that kind of damage. Must have been some sort of accident. Let's head over there." The two men ran off in the direction.
"I wonder what's going on?" Zoey asked. "Anyway, lets go find the matches. Where do you think matches would be in here. It's not like a home where it would be in a cabinet drawer or something."
"I'm not really sure. It looks like Chris has just thrown us into this challenge without much help. But, It's best to look for somewhere with Fire. Like a boiler room." Cameron said.
Zoey turned her head behind them, "You mean like it says here." She pointed to a mildly vague map of the building.
"It's a directory! Just what we need! If only it was brighter in here. If I'm reading this correctly the boiler room is on the basement floor. But, I don't see any landmarks or quick ways to get there. Only that the bottom is where we need to go." Cameron said.
"Looks like we're on the top floor." Zoey said looking at the top of the directory. "Let's head down! Maybe We'll find Violet as we go down."
"Okay, Zoey. Let's get going."
TD Confessional:
"I'm a pretty good navigator, but trying to find your way in a dimly lit, frighting insane asylum. With guards who were hired by Chris of all people to 'take us back to our rooms' I have to admit that there is... some degree of difficulty " Cameron said, slowly getting gloomier as he spoke.
"I have oceans with no water, Coasts with no sand, Cities without people, And mountains with no land. What am I? What's this supposed to be? Got any ideas?" Cleo asked, reading it.
"I'm not sure. But, we definitely should watch out for those guys that Chris mentioned. Or well be back where we started maybe worse." Jean said.
"Oceans with no water... and mountains with no land?" Cleo asked, quietly. "No real ocean is empty... What do you think Jean?"
Jean was searching the walls for some sort of sign or a light switch, "Huh, what was that, Cleo?"
"Ughhhh... I said that no real ocean is empty." She said, a bit upset that her boyfriend wasn't at least listening to her, "What're you looking for anyway?"
"One of those wall stickers you see in hospitals. The ones that tell you where to go, we might have a better idea of where we're going. But, there doesn't seem to be any. This place looks more like some video game dungeon like a mental hospital." Jean said.
"Okay well, if staring at the wall isn't helping, then maybe you can help me solve this dumb riddle Chris is having us solve." Cleo said, handing him the paper.
Jean sighed Taking the paper, "Alright... What is with Chris and riddles anyway? It's kinda weird."
"Maybe back when he was a kid, he was one of those really nerdy kids who would read joke books that only had, like really bad dad jokes in there." Cleo said, laughing a bit.
"Maybe. I have oceans with no water, Coasts with no sand, Cities without people, And mountains with no land. What am I?" He read. "I'm not sure about this one... Cities with no people and coasts with no sand. And there was what you said about not being real land. It's on the tip of my tongue, I just cant get it."
"Ugh! Stupid Chris and his stupid riddles..." Cleo grumbled. She sighed before looking across from them. "A directory map? In this gross place? Shocking. There's barely any landmark stuff on it."
Jean's eyes widened, "Wait, what did you say?"
Cleo turned to him, "I said, that it's shocking that this gross place even has a directory map-"
"That's it!" He yelled. "The answer is a map!"
"Quiet, we'll get caught!" Cleo whispered.
"Oh, right sorry." Jean said, "But, we're supposed to find a map... Somewhere..."
"Nice, now we have to look all over for a map." Cleo sighed, "Let's go." They ran off in search of their item, unaware of the grinning girl crouching in the darkness, listening in behind them.
"You wont be finding anything, fools." Luci said grinning and crushing a large rolled up paper with a green Chris face on it.
"Hurry it up, farm boy! Read the paper!" Lightning yelled as he and Scott ran through the hallways.
Scott growled angrily at the order, but considering their situation he opened up the paper. "On my face, many numbers I bear. But of these numbers you wont find thirteen anywhere. What am I?"
"What?" Lighting asked stopping, "Why would a bear have numbers on on it face? This ain't making no sense!"
Scott face palmed and was reconsidering his previous cockiness, "It's not that kind of bear... I'm sick of all these stupid riddles. I mean what weirdo nerd even likes this stuff?"
"I dunno, man! The others are going to beat us if you keep wasting time." Lightning said, "And Lightning doesn't loose!
"Numbers on a face and no thirteen... Like, uh, a clock?" Scott asked rhetorically.
"A clock! Yeah, yeah! Clocks have numbers, right?! 1 through 12!" Lightning exclaimed.
"Quiet!" Scott whispered. "The guards will hear us."
"Where we gonna find a clock, anyway?" Lightning asked.
"I don't know." Scott snapped. "Where would a clock be in a mental hospital?"
Lightning scratched his head, "Hospital, right? Maybe, an office? Doctors need to know the time."
"Now we just have to find one." Scott said, looking past Lightning. "Hey, look a map." He walked toward the directory on the wall and examined it. "What the? It doesn't say anything about any offices! What kinda place is this?!"
"Hey, did you hear that?" A burly sounding man's voice asked.
"Yeah, finally some action! I heard for every time we catch a kid, there's extra cash involved." Another younger man's voice replied.
"Oh hell yeah, Let's get em'!"
"We'd better book it. We don't know if those guards are armed or not." Scott said.
"Of course they got arms. How could they catch anyone without arms?" Lightning asked.
"Not that kind of- Forget lets go!" Scott said, running off with Lightning close behind.
TD Confessional:
"Who knew the jock could actually think of going to the doctors office? As long as I can ignore all the garbage that comes out of his mouth, I've got this in the bag.
Inside Violet's mind.
"LUCI!" Joy screamed waking up from some sort of nightmare, "What- Where-" She looked over at Violet chained up next to her, and groaned, "So this isn't a dream... I need to find a way to pull Luci back. But, First I need to get- Out of these chains!" Joy began struggling against the chains, to no avail.
'A weakness... If only I could get out of these chains I could enter Luci's room surely something in there would help me...'
"Joy?" A voice called from below her.
"Mel? Mel, you're awake!" Joy exclaimed.
"Just barely..." She yawned her eyes closing a bit.
"Wait, wait! Mel you have to stay awake! I need you to help me!" Joy called, frantically.
Mel rubbed her eyes, "What's wrong, Joy?"
"What's wrong?!" Joy yelled, "I-I mean- I really need you to stay awake and get us out of these chains!"
"Huh? Oh, you are chained. I can try." Mel shakily got of from the floor and made her way over to the two chained girls. With a few hard tugs she broke the chains on her ankles and one on her wrist, "There we go, I'm going to sleep now..."
"There's still one on my wrist! Mel! What about Violet...?" Joy sighed before beginning to pull onto the chain still holding her, "C'mon! C'mon, break! I have to... save Violet! This is all my fault..." A tear escaped from her eye before the chain broke. She quickly rubbed her eyes and looked up at Violet hanging higher than she was. "I cant reach that high up. I'll be back, Violet. I promise!" Joy ran off in the direction of Luci's room.
"Looks like I've found the kitchen. And In record time too." Luci said, stepping into the dimly lit room, "What was Chris too cheap to provide proper lightning to the building? Probably for dramatic ambiance or something to that stupid effect." She searched the drawers until she found the deadly utensil. 'Check and mate. Good thing I found this baby. I would actually have to work on this stupid show.'
She looked down at the device allowing her to see all of the other contestants, 'Let's see... Who's next? I need stick figure and Red for the time being and the idiot duo is well away from finding that clock. Now, The 'lovely' couple will never find their item with it in my possession, so there's no real need to bother with them. But, on the other hand...' A Cheshire-like grin appeared on her face. 'Now I wonder what would happen if the guards in their area were alerted to their presence. Where are they now?'
"Are we getting close to finding the Boiler room and/or Violet?" Zoey asked as she and Cameron
"We have a couple of levels to go before we're in the basement. As for Violet, We have no idea what her item is or where she could be. It would be sheer luck to actually run into her. For now, we should just keep staying out of the guards way and-"
"Cameron?" Zoe asked, looking in front of them.
"What's wr- There's a guard behind me, isn't there?" Cameron asked.
"Uh, huh..." She nodded.
The large, gross, beefy man grinned down at them, "Little pig, little pig let me come in..."
"AHHHH-" Zoey grabbed Cameron and ran as fast as she could, right past Scott and Lightning who were walking down the opposite hallway.
"Woah, good thing the didn't see us! Go Team man! Sha-lucky!" Lightning said.
"Quiet down. More of them will hear us." Scott whisper-snapped, "Let's go this way. One of these office doors have to be open." The two ran across the hall to the next corridor.
Only a few halls down were Cleo and Jean were, "Hey, did you heard that?" Jean asked.
"Loud and clear. It sounded like brain dead and Trailer Trash. Let's try to find that map, y'know away from them." Cleo scoffed. The walked back the way they came and around a different corner. Above them was Luci hanging off of a pipe she jumped down and looked down the direction Cleo and Jean walked.
"That was close. I was almost sp- OW!" Luci held her head in pain. 'What is going on up there?'
"Heard that? More those kids! Heck, yeah!" a deep male voice exclaimed.
"Gotta hand it to McLean. He's made a real fun game out of this crap-job." another said.
"More of the guards are moving. Ugh, I don't have time for this." Luci removed her hand from her head and cleared her throat "Hey! I bet you idiotic monkeys cant catch me or my boyfriend! Chris and his cheap help! No match for the Vampire queen!" she stomped her feet on the ground to simulate running and clumped back up to the protruding air vents and followed them, waiting for the show.
"Jean, another directory. Are we headed in the right direction?" Cleo asked.
"Looks like it. But we haven't gotten very far." Jean said.
"Say... These directories..." Cleo said looking closely at them.
Jean looked at the directory and back to her, "Yeah? What's up?"
"Wouldn't these basically count as maps?" Cleo asked.
"I don't think Chris would make it that easy... But it's worth a shot." Jean pressed his hand onto the directory and attempted to peal it off.
"Hey, you!" One of the guards yelled standing behind them.
The two turned around, "Oh crap. Let's go!" Before the two of them could run away, the guards grabbed them, not allowing them to escape.
"You're not going anywhere."
"Monkeys, huh? Well see who's the monkey when you're back in your room."
"What?! NO!" Cleo yelled, struggling. "We've just made progress!"
Jean tried his best to get out of the strong man's grip, "Let go of us!"
"Attention contestants! You have 15 minutes to get out of the asylum." Chris' voice was heard over the loudspeaker.
"Hey, bro I got an Idea. Let's separate them."
"Now that is wicked. Let's do it."
"NO!"
"Yes." Luci grinned. "Well, that was fun. Time to go win this challenge. Let's see closest way to the exit with minimal guards is... This way." She hopped down from the vent and headed off in the direction.
"Did we lose them?" Zoey panted, she and Cameron had been running from the guards and at some point she had to carry him or they would have been caught.
"Yes, and look!" Cameron whispered happily pointing to the room in front of them. "It says boiler room."
"Thank goodness. Let's get those matches." Zoey said, catching her breath.
"Attention contestants! You have fifteen minutes to get out of the asylum." Chris' voice was heard over the loudspeaker.
"Oh, no! We have to find the matches and escape the building in 15 minutes?!" Cameron said.
"Don't worry, Cam. Let's just get the matches and well find out way out." Zoey said, opening the door. In side the room was a light that was tinted red making it look like a dangerous scene in a movie. Lying next to the boiler was the small matchbook with Chris' face on it.
"Here it is. That was easy enough." Cameron said.
'Warning! Warning! the door to this room will lock in 5 seconds... 5... 4...'
"What the- There wasn't anything attached to the match book to set that off!" Cameron exclaimed.
"No time! We gotta move!" Zoey said grabbing him and dashing out the door just in time.
"This place is going to give me heart palpitations." Cameron sighed.
"We've got the matches, Cam!" Zoey said happily. "Let's get out of here before time runs out."
"Right."
"Dude, did you hear what Chris said?! fifteen minutes and we haven't found one clock yet!" Lightning yelled as he and Scott picked up the pace down the hall.
Scott leaned up against one of the doors, "Yeah I get it, jock strap! Just give me a second. What kind of stupid challenge is- WOAH!" The door he was leaning on, which was loose at the hinges fell over not being able to hold his weight.
"This is an office! And look a clock up there!" Lightning said, stepping over Scott and grabbing the clock above the desk. "Get up man we book it!"
Scott glared at him and followed, holding his back in pain.
TD Confessional:
"If it wasn't for the fact that everyone else in this competition is useless, I would have quit on Jar Head a long time ago." Scott said, holding his back.
'Is that the exit?' Luci thought, coming up on a pair of double doors with the word 'exit' above them. She looked down at the GPS to confirm, "Yep, this is it." She threw down the small machine and opened the door. The artificial lights set up outside nearly blinded her. 'My eyes! How long were we in there?!'
"You're the first one out, Violet! A bit shocking, to be honest. Didn't really expect you to break the mirror and knock out one of the guards." Chris said, handing her a marshmallow.
"Uh-huh... Well, I don't have much of an affinity for hospitals or asylums." Luci said, putting the marshmallow in her mouth, as not to raise suspicion. 'Gross, I don't know how people eat this puffed up sugar.'
"Well, you have immunity. Now we just have to wait for the others." Chris said, folding his arms. "How much time is there again, Chef?"
Chef looked down at his watch, "2 minutes."
Immediately the doors shot open, with Zoey and Cameron coming out of them and Lightning with Scott not too far behind.
"Looks like you all just made it!" Chris said, looking down at Chef's watch.
"Violet! You're okay!" Zoey said, walking out of the gates and rushing over with Cameron in tow.
Luci plastered on a false smile, "Yeah, I managed to find my stuff and get out on my own. Is he okay?"
Cameron was on his knees next to Zoey dry heaving, "I-I'm... Fine... Too much running..."
"Sha-bam! Lightning for first place!" Lightning yelled running out of the gate. He looked over at the other teams who managed to get there before him "Huh? Sha-what? Great, Team Lightning ain't first! Thanks, Scott."

"Of course, We're missing out on a million dollars. But, the fact of the matter is that we did lose." Jean said.

"I never told them they couldn't do that." Chris said with a huge grin on his face, finding amusement in the teen's rage.
"HOW DARE-" Jean pressed his lips onto Cleo's before she could really start screaming. He pulled away and Cleo's face was tomato red.
"Cleo! I really l-"
"Welp, enough of that!" Chris said signaling Chef to launch them, "Heh, heh. Nice. We're down to our last five players! Come back next time for more raging and running Next time on Total Drama: Revenge of the island!"
