"I refuse!" I summon my keyblade, and try to strike down the enemy before me. "I'm not going to surrender to the darkness!"
"Who said you had a choice?" Join us, Xion, join us! My blue eyes widen as I hear the voices inside my head. Suddenly, my head begins to pound, so I scream out in pain. It feels like a billion elephants were being dropped on it. You can't resist us. Just join us already to end this.
"No...I won't do it!" The pain only gets worst and worst. I can't think straight anymore. "NO!"
"Why are you resisting, Xion?" asks Xehanort, pointing his keyblade at my head. Tears fall from my eyes, but the pain won't stop. Give into the darkness, give up on your friends. They'll just forget you again. They'll always forget you. Always.
"Ventus and Roxas need me to stay strong. No matter what you do, my friends will still be my power, and I'm there's!" I shout. Ignoring my agony, I make my keyblade meet with Xehanort's. "Because I'm not weak, I won't be as weak as you." I wipe the tears from my eyes.
"What did you just say?"
"I said I'm not weak like you, Xehanort!" I caste gravity on him, but Xehanort moves out of the spell's way. He shoots a ice attack at me. Using my Kingdom Key, I deflect it.
"It seems like you're a pretty decent fighter even with all of your useless sass," Xehanort notes. "Then you leave me no other choice."
"What do you mean?" He moves his hand around, and I see a bunch of darkness on my chest. It, along with my head, start to hurt. This is torture. Give in, give in, GIVE IN!
"Now you've no choice." Xehanort stabs his keyblade through my stomach, but no blood comes out. Just pain. I scream. "If you give in, then all of this will stop. You would like that, right Xion?"
"I won't let you get your wicked desires!" I yell. Then he takes his keyblade out of me, and I smile in relief. There's still pain though.
"Fool, there's nothing you can do to escape your fate!" Xehanort strikes me in the heart. Somehow I don't die, but I can feel myself slowly going to sleep.
"No...I won't allow this!" My yellow eyes close. "Ven...Ven...die."
"Xion, Xion!" I see that I'm on a chair with my legs crossed. Xion is lying on the ground, so I run up to her. "Open your eyes, Xion!"
"...Ven."
"Xion! XION! Okay, I should take deep breaths, for you told me my friends are okay. You seem to be okay too. I guess I kinda lost myself to Vanitas for a second there. He's seems to like to control me whenever I'm emotionally distressed."
"...Ven." Her eyes are still closed, so I place her head on my lap as I sit down on the floor. She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping. "Die."
"Wait, what?" I ask, confused. She opens her eyes to reveal that they're a piercing shade of yellow. "No, Xion, what happened when I was gone?"
"I said die!" She summons her keyblade, and Xion tries to attack me with it. Scared, I get mine out as well. "Xehanort has no further use for you!" Oh, does he want to get rid of me that much? Old Master, that's really flattering. I want to tell Vanitas to shut up.
"Xehanort is using you! Can't you see that?"
"Ven...stop this! Stop fighting back! If you just stop, I promise that the pain will be over! Xion, you're being a brat!" Her keyblade falls out of her hand, disappearing as it hit the ground. Xion grabs her head and yells. I get a hold of Xion, and I want to cry. Come on, Ventus, don't be a wuss now.
"Xion, fight it please!"
"Why won't you die?!" The girl has Kingdom Key in her hands again, so I move away from her. Then I see that gravity is being used. Not wanting to die, I dodge roll out of the way.
"Come on, I know you're still in there somewhere! You just have to fight with Xehanort!"
Gaining my senses, I wake up to see that Xehanort grabbed my body. He's holding it and moving me around. "Enough! I won't let you hurt Ven!"
"You're awake?!"
"Because of you, all of this happened! You caused everything, all the pain and suffering! I won't allow myself to become a part of your army!" I shout while punching him. I dash my way out of his grip. "Like I said before, my friends are my power!"
"Do you know how many people have said that?" Xehanort questions. "Three including you. The other two are Ventus and Sora, so you should see where caring about their friends has landed them in." I then stab Xehanort with Kingdom Key, but he stares at me like nothing happened. Xehanort just removes it from his stomach.
"What?" With his keyblade summoned, he puts it through my body, through my heart, yet again. He smiles.
"Do you really think you can escape me, girl?" asks the old man. I suddenly feel sleep coming to me.
"Not again...Ven, run! Or, put an end to me! No, the best thing for you to do is finally die!"
I whip the black hair that fell on Xion's face. She stirs, so I stare at her, eager for the results. Xehanort is just going to make her his. "Shut up, Vanitas!"
"He's right." Xion grabs my neck as she gets off the ground. I kick her, so she falls and releases her grip.
"I'm sorry, Xion, but I had to do that."
"Do you really think you can save Xion?" The girl has all of her hair turn completely white, sending a shiver down my shine. "Forget it, she has lost along with you, trying to protect your friends as always. Her heart belongs again to darkness. All worlds begin in darkness, and all so end. The heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it, it grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In the end, every heart returns to the darkness whence it came. You see, darkness is the heart's true essence!"
