When I awoke in Ven's body, I stare at the witch before me. "What are you doing here?"

"Ventus, have you decided to embrace darkness?" she asks me. I shake my head.

"No, I'm Vanitas-"

"Wait, you're still alive!" Xion shouts. She looks to be shocked, but it is understandable. This is something Xehanort probably didn't guess because of his rashness. He thought I was dead.

"Yes, I am, yet I'm stuck in this idiot's body since you yourself didn't think things through."

"Enough with this! Let's just join forces for this one battle, Vanitas," Maleficent says. I roll my eyes, but I do summon Void Gear to my hands. Remember, don't try to kill Xion, for, if you do, Xehanort would still reappear. The witch has a staff in her sickly green hands.

"You better not get in my way or anything." Xion swings Xehanort's key-shaped sword at me, so Maleficent blocked her with green flames. Then, focusing intensely, I transport myself behind my target. My keyblade hit her back because of her keeping an eye on Maleficent. She quickly grabs my keyblade. The girl flings me forward, and then uses my body to protect herself from some fire magic. Before she can do anything else, I find enough energy to appear next to Maleficent.

"So, this is how this girl fights," Maleficent notes.

"No, Xion there got possessed by Xehanort, and she's falling into darkness in her own heart. I can sense it." Vanitas, look out! When I look up, I see that Xion is trying to do a combo on me. I use my speed to get out of there. Maleficent castes more fire to protect her body.

"Xehanort...I really don't like what your heartless said to me. It was not a fitting in for such a fool." Maleficent tries to hit Xion with her staff, but the young girl ducks. She takes a hold of her staff. With her own magic, Xion sends a wave of lightning towards Maleficent. The witch abandons her weapon to get out of the way.

"You were a fool to not notice the darkness eating away at your heart," Xion replies while breaking her staff into two. "Now this is when things get a little bit more interesting." I then hit her on the head, and she yells in pain. The possessed replica attempts to attack me before I get out of there.

"We need to think of a better strategy," I whisper to Maleficent. "Or, she's going to defeat both of us." Hey, Vanitas, you should use the information you know about Xehanort's tactics from when you trained with him. If you get that information, the battle may turn to your favor. For once in my life, I actually think Ventus is correct.

"How long do I've to do this for?" I question, still looking at the darkness around me.

"Hello..." All of the sudden, I hear a woman's voice, and I didn't really meet anyone with it. "Who am I talking to this time?"

"My name's Xion," I respond. "You probably never heard of me."

"I'm Kairi." My eyes widen as I hear her name. This is the girl that looks so much like me, but she has red hair instead of black. At least I think my hair is still black right now.

"Why are you doing this?"

"I don't know. You seem to be in trouble, and I think our hearts are connected somehow." Then I realize I'm able to do this because of me talking to Namine. I wonder if she planned this or not.

"Yeah, none of my friends know who I am because, well, I'm a replica made from Sora's memories. I also kinda look like you since you're his most valuable memory." The girl laughs.

"Oh really? That's so flattering!" Kairi tells me. Her voice is one of an angel's. It's so sweet, and her words calm my soul.

"I'm falling into darkness because that's the only way they can get their memories back," I add-on.

"What? You shouldn't do that! No matter what, memories are still there, but some might just need some help getting out. If we ever meet in the real world, I'll promise to help you get your wish."

"Really? You're so sweet," I respond. "But, how do I get out of this darkness? It's all around me, and I can't find the smallest glimmer of light." I can feel the darkness having more of a hold on my heart even. It hurts so much, but at least it wasn't the pain I experienced earlier.

"The brightest light is in the deepest darkness. Even if there seems to be none of it there, you just need to look harder and believe in yourself, Xion. I remember you, I'm your friend." That convinces me that Namine thought of this. That girl is so smart, and I should really thank her. Like before, I start looking for a way out again.

"Thank you, Kairi. You're really a savior."

"Why does every one of my vessel always fight back?" When I look behind me, I see Xion glow in light. Vanitas, can I've my body back now?

"Sure thing, lover boy." Maleficent stares at both of us, confused.

A.N-Thank God for Kairi and Namine, right? The end is nearing!

Vanitas-Aren't you going to thank me for freely giving Ventus his body back? Does that consider being a 'good boy'?
