It was a couple of weeks later and things were still crazy. They were still getting used to having to adapt to their routines and both Amy and Ineta was feeling slightly left out. They couldn't exactly say anything to Roxy but it was starting to get a little more difficult.

Neither of them had been sleeping that well at night and often Amy ended up snuggled up in Ineta's bed. It was a bit of a squish as it was only a single bed but Ineta liked to hold the girl.

Ineta opened her eyes and noticed Amy again in her arms. She looked down at her step sister and smiled.

"Come on Amy, we need to get up" Ineta said gently waking the girl up.

"Do we have to?" Amy complained snuggling more into Ineta and the girl nodded.

"Come here" Ineta said as she carried the girl down the stairs. Roxy was walking out of the kitchen.

"What are you doing up?" Roxy asked.

"We have to go to school" Ineta said and Roxy shrugged.

"I was just going to wake you" Roxy said and Ineta nodded putting Amy done. She was now quite nervous around Roxy. She wasn't sure why but they're relationship had just been strained by everything that was going on with Ronnie and the rest of the Mitchell's.

Ineta quickly had her breakfast and then disappeared up the stairs to get ready.

"Ineta, will you take Amy to school" Roxy shouted and Ineta came storming down the stairs. She grabbed Amy's arm on the way down.

"Ouch" Amy shouted.

"Ineta, be gentle with her" Roxy shouted and Ineta just slammed the door shut.

"Sorry Ames, I didn't mean to grab your arm" Ineta said.

"It's okay, it was more the shock than pain" Amy said and Ineta nodded.

"I'm still sorry" Ineta said smiling.

They walked to the primary school and then Ineta walked onto the high school. She managed to get to the class just in time as the late bell rang.

The day went quickly and Ineta really wasn't having a good day. She had forgotten her PE kit and had ended up getting a letter home as it was second time in a row that she had forgotten it. She had tried to explain that there was a lot going on at home but the teacher simply said that she wasn't the only girl going through problems.

She had PE last so just started walking home after the bell rang. A group of girls were following Ineta home

"Why didn't you do PE?" One of the girls asked.

"I forgot my kit" She said.

"Are you sure?" Another asked and Ineta nodded.

"Maybe she has started her periods and was too scared in case we noticed" Another said and they all started laughing.

"No I haven't" Ineta said and they were all laughing.

"What haven't you started at all" Another asked and Ineta shook her head.

"Oh my god, you are such a baby" one said and Ineta got all embarrassed. She didn't know what to do other than run. She ran all the way home and couldn't stop the tears from streaming down her face.

She knew that they were behind her but she was a lot faster than them and arrived home. She slammed the door shut and ran up to her room. Roxy looked as Ineta came storming passed her.

"Nets?" She called but she didn't get a reply. The door bell rang and Roxy answered it.

"Hey, is Ineta in?" One girl asked smiling.

"Em, yeah why?" Roxy asked.

"Oh I'm just her friend and we were wondering if she is coming out" The girl asked.

"Em, no she is a bit busy just now. We are going to the hospital" Roxy said not wanting Ineta going out with the girl.

"Okay, then will you let her know that we called?" The girl asked and Roxy nodded before closing the door on the girl. She rolled her eyes, they were so annoying. Roxy could sense that Ineta was behind her.

"They better not be your friends" Roxy threatened and Ineta shook her head. Roxy was slightly surprised to see the devastated look on the girl's face.

"What's wrong?" Roxy asked starting to walk over to the girl but she turned around and bolted to her room.

Roxy sighed before climbing up the stairs to check on the girl. She got to the room and opened the girl.

Roxy walked over to the bed where Ineta was lying head down in.

"Hey" Roxy said putting a hand on Ineta's back. She noticed the girl was shaking.

"Come here" Roxy said but Ineta didn't move. In fact, she moved further away from Roxy. Roxy just carried on rubbing the girl's back until she had relaxed a little more and allowed Roxy to pull her up to her arms.

Roxy just held the girl in her arms and gently rocked her until she stopped crying. Ineta's cries had reduced to snuffles.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Roxy asked looking down at Ineta. Ineta didn't say another.

"Nets" Roxy said trying to move the girl away from her but Ineta just shook her head and refused to let go.

Roxy sighed and lay down onto the bed, she kept Ineta close to her sensing that the girl just wanted to be held.

They stayed like that for a while before Roxy started to sit up slightly. She felt Ineta let go of her and instantly close off again.

"Nets, what's going on?" Roxy asked and Ineta shrugged.

"Why are you crying?" Roxy asked as she wiped the tears from the girl's face.

"It doesn't matter" Ineta said looking down.

"Hey come on, you can speak to me" Roxy said pulling Ineta's head up. Ineta still didn't say anything and Roxy was at a lost of what to do.

"Who were the girls?" Roxy asked.

"They are in my year" Ineta said.

"Have they been saying things to you?" Roxy asked knowing the problems that Ineta had previously had.

Ineta nodded.

"What did they say?" Roxy asked.

"I forgot my PE kit again" Ineta said and Roxy sighed.

"I'm sorry, it's just so busy in the morning. So I got a letter home, they were saying mean things to me. Then they said" Ineta said before drifting off at the end.

"What did they say?" Roxy asked.

"Doesn't matter" Ineta said shaking her head. Roxy looked at her showing her that she was not going to stop until she knew what was going on.

"They said that I was hiding from them when getting changed. They said that I must have started my periods thingy" Ineta said and Roxy tilted her head.

"I said no, I haven't even started. Then they called me a baby" Ineta said. "I needed to run away, I ran home and they followed me. That was when they rung the bell"

Roxy sighed and nodded.

"Oh sweetie, baby you know what it's like just now. You are only 11, I bet half of them haven't started their periods. You have lots of time to grow up, sweetie" Roxy said and Ineta nodded.

"I know, I'm sorry. I don't know what is going on. It's just all getting too much. It's starting to get a little hard, Amy is keeping me up all night and school isn't much better" Ineta said.

"What do you mean about Amy?" Roxy asked.

"She isn't sleeping, she is spending the night in my bed because she is scared about what is going to happen to Ronnie. She misses her mum" Ineta said and Roxy sighed. She didn't mean to leave the girls out.

"I'm so sorry, have you been missing me too?" Roxy asked and Ineta nodded slightly embarrassed.

"Hey come here" Roxy said pulling the girl into her arms.

"Me, you and Amy are going out tomorrow just the three of us and we are having a girly day" Roxy said and Ineta smiled.

"I'd like that" Ineta said.

They talked for a bit longer before going to have some tea. They had tea and then watched the TV together all cuddled up on the sofa.
