[Author's Notes: Hello readers i'm sorry i have not been able to post chapters lately i've been busy with school projects. This chapter should be longer than the last chapters and hopefully all of them will be longer. Stuff will start to happen in the next chapters. No i wont tell you. You'll have to read it to find out. (Pfft lazy people) ill also be putting more thought into these chapters (sometimes). Ok so yeah enjoy the chapter.]
It was 11:00 pm when ruby last looked at the clock and she was bored. She thought about the numerous amounts of spell books she saw in the library when she was last there. She remembered all the ones on plant manipulation along with all the ones on time manipulation. She couldn't go through them the last time she was there because she was working the check-out desk. I mean she had to work for the headmaster if she wanted to stay at yokai academy but she felt as that she had too much to do at times. Ruby thought to herself 'maybe I should go to the library and take a look at them. Hmmm but maybe the library is closed. Screw it lets go find out.' She got out of her bed and walked to the door grabbing her wand on the way out.
As she walked down the hall she felt someone was watching her. She brought up her wand and called out "Who's there?" A voice said from behind "Damn I was found. Put your wand down will ya." A figure came out of a doorway behind her. When she looked to see who it was it was Gin. "Oh its just you." She turned and started to walk away. Gin ten says "What no hello Gin. No how have you been Gin." She keeps walking as Gin walks after her. "Ow I'm hurt. Your being as cold as Mizore." Gin says as she turns to face him. She says back while pointing a finger a finger at him "Dont you ever compare me to any of those bitches after my Tsukune! They will never have him!" As she says this she gives Gin a death glare. Gin says "Ok sorry i didnt mean it." Ruby says back at him "Good now go peep on some girls or something!" As she storms off he says "I was til you came along..." A voice says from behind "I knew i heard a boy in the girls dorm." When Gin turns around he sees a group of girls ready to pummel him. Gin thinks to himself 'Damn i knew i shouldn't have stayed for those extra pictures!'. A crow appears before him pushing him out the window. "Oh shit!" Gin says as he falls out landing on a bush with his pictures spilling out of his jacket.
As Ruby keeps walking she thinks to herself 'That should teach him a lesson. Calling me cold as Mizore.' As she finally reaches the library she finds locking the library doors. When the teacher turns around and sees her she says "What are you doing out so late meow?" Her tail flicks around when she says this and Ruby says "I was hoping to look into some spellbooks i saw here earlier but you just locked it so..." Mrs. Nekonome then says back "Oh im sorry if you were just a couple minutes earlier then i would have let you look a bit but once the doors are closed they won't open again until morning." The teacher then pulls a small fish out of her pocket and sadly eats it "Ok ill be going now enjoy your fish". She nods as Ruby walks away. Ruby thinks 'Man i wish i were here earlier.'
The more she thought about it the more she just wanted to break into the library. In her blind rage she accidently bumped into someone. "Im sorry I wasn't watching where i was going" When she looked up to see who it was she had bumped into she sees its the school's headmaster. "Oh headmaster I'm so so sorry..." He says to her "Its fine but why are you out of your room at this time of night?" "I-I was going to the library to check out some spellbooks i saw there earlier today but it was closed to for the night so i was heading back to my room now." He looks at her as if pondering something and says back to her "Here you have been a good helper to the school so ill give you a present." He pulls a old looking spellbook from under his cloak and hands it to her. "Think of it as being a birthday present." Ruby says back confused "But its not my birthday." The headmaster then replies with "Its someones birthday somewhere." He walks away before Ruby can say anything back.
Ruby quickly walked back to her room with her new spell book in hand. As she walked she sees a crowd of girls screaming down at Gin while he picks up his pictures. She wondered what the headmaster had meant when he said what he said but she didn't pay pay much mind to it. As soon as she got back to her room she flipped open the demon-hide bound book to a random page. When she looked at the top of the page for the title there was none. She looked at the incantation and ingredients list and found they were generally easy ones to find except for two. These two were two people. She didnt dare try it on herself so she chose one person at random and one person at school. She thought to herself 'I want to know the results as soon as possible so...' She took out a small notebook titled Friends and cast a randomization spell. The book flipped through the pages landing on a page in the middle of the book. When she looked at the name and gave a little frown. She cast the spell again and again but it kept landing on the same page. The name was Tskune. She tried to turn the page but the book wouldn't let her. She sighed and gathered the necessary ingredients and started the incantation. As she did the letter came up from the page and surrounded her. There was a flash of bright light and the power in the dorm went out.
