A/N: I decided on this subject because this is what happens in the real world. Some people do this, illegally or not. This may not be something you feel comfortable with, and if you decide so, you may leave at any point. With that said, I hope you enjoy the chapter!

Christian and Mark pushed back some boys as they approached the alleyway. "Us first." Mark sneered as Christian pushed past everyone and made his way to the end of the alleyway where a girl, only about sixteen, sat in a tattered chair, counting money. She had blonde hair in a side braid, and a lone purple streak running through it. She had green eyes, a nose ring, and a lip piercing. She always wore dark makeup, a gray beanie, and dark clothing.
She looked up at Christian and groaned in disgust. "What do you want? And hurry up, you're taking away from my business."
A boy behind Christian and Mark scoffed. "Hardly a business." He muttered.
The girl stood up and pushed past Christian and Mark and went up to the boy. She grabbed him by the shirt and pushed him against the wall. "Don't like it, go somewhere else." She growled before letting him go and sitting back down in her chair. "So, Christian, what do you want?"
"Some of the best stuff you got." Christian smiled greedily.
She rolled her eyes. "You got cash? I ain't giving you anymore freebies."
Christian nodded and pulled out a wad of cash. "Those are one dollar bills." She laughed. "You don't have enough to even buy a nug of the best stuff."
"Count it." Christian held the money out to her, and she snatched it from him and began to count it.
She glared up at him. "Fine. How much do you want?"
"A pound." Christian smirked, expecting her to gape at him. However, she laughed.
"A pound? You couldn't afford a pound. Maybe six or seven nugs, but not a pound." She rolled her eyes.
"Come on, just let me have it. Please."
"No way. I don't give freebies." She shook her head.
"Come on, Jenna. You did it for that one guy. You know, blonde hair, blue eyes, always wears green." He said in a teasing voice.
She was taken aback and glared at him. "You mean Jesse?"
"Yeah. You always gave him the good stuff for free. Its cause you like him. You know he has a girlfriend now, right?" He smirked.
Jenna stood up and pushed him against the wall. "Don't ever say to anyone." She growled low.
"I won't if you hook me up."
Jenna glared at him and kneeled down next to her bag and threw the product at him. Christian smiled and smelled the package.
"Thanks, Jenna. Smells great." He highfived Mark as the two walked out of the alleyway, Jenna scowling in disgust after them.

Jesse walked to school alone that morning. Robin and the others had decided to go on a run that he didn't feel like doing, so he was alone.
There was a park that the rangers always passed on the way to and from school. Jesse knew this park very well, but this fact was not a good thing. In the past, Jesse had done some things that he regretted today. It disturbed him that he did those things in the past and made it hard for him to walk by the very place that it all happened.
Especially when it smelled just like it. Like it was being freshly smoked. He frowned deeply and looked around before spotting Christian, Mark, and Christian's girlfriend, Calina Hander, right behind the bleachers. He angrily began to walk away when Christian called his name.
"What?" He yelled as he stormed over there.
"Want a hit?" Christian smirked, holding his pipe up.
"Are you kidding me?" Jesse growled.
Calina had been holding the smoke in her mouth, and she blew it into Jesse's face just as he opened up his mouth to speak. He coughed as it went into his lungs. "You want one now?" She asked with a giggle.
"Nice job, Cally." Christian kissed her cheek and pushed some blonde hair out of her face. Cally was the oldest student that went to Sol Valley High, at age 19, mostly because she failed to meet the credentials to graduate.
Jesse grabbed the pipe from Christian and dumped the marijuana onto the ground and stepped on it. "What are you gonna do now?"
"Put more in it." Mark laughed as he snatched the pipe from Jesse's hand and put a nug in it. He lit the pipe and smoked it. He blew out his smoke into Jesse's face before handing it off to Christian, who did the same thing.
"Stop doing that." Jesse said, though he was feeling very tempted. He wanted to do it, and them blowing it in his face made it harder and harder to resist. He snatched the pipe from Cally's hands and smoked it. Christian, Mark, and Cally looked on with smirks.

At lunch, Robin sat down at the table with a frown. The others looked at her questioningly.
"What's wrong, Robin?" Matt asked, looking concerned.
"It's Jesse. I haven't seen him all day." Robin revealed, looking extremely worried. "What if something happened to him when he was walking to school alone? I hope he's okay."
"He will be." Spencer assured her, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Come on, it's Jesse."
"That's exactly what worries me." Robin admitted with a bit of exaggeration.
"Oh." Spencer's eyes widened as he realized what she meant. He looked around, trying to see anybody who would know where Jesse was, and saw Jenna. "I'll be right back." He said, and stood up, walking over to Jenna and pulling her behind the school.
"Wow, Spencer, this is unexpected." She smirked, looking up at him.
He rolled his eyes. "Where is he?"
"I know a lot of he's."
"Where is Jesse?" Spencer growled, growing frustrated. He wanted to know where his best friend was.
"How should I know?" Jenna's eyes narrowed.
"Because he walked past the park this morning, the park we always walk past, alone." Spencer said. "I know people smoke there, and I know Jesse used to."
"So? Maybe a monster took him."
Spencer scoffed. "Oh, please. Don't you think the Power Rangers would be alerted if a monster was attacking people?"
She let out a disbelieving laugh. "The Power Rangers let people get captured about a week ago, what makes you think they wouldn't let people get captured now?"
"It was probably an accident."
"They left people there."
"The cops and an ambulance was coming."
"How do you know so much?"
"How do you?" Spencer retorted.
Jenna smirked. "Alright then. Well, I saw Jesse in the park this morning, with Christian, Mark, and Cally. Good luck."
Spencer growled under his breath as he walked away, "Fuck." He walked back over to the table and grabbed his bag and began to walk away when someone caught his shoulder. It was Robin.
"Where are you going?" She asked, staring at him with an upset expression.
"I know where Jesse is. I'm going to get him. Stay here." Spencer told her.
"What? Why?" She asked, pleading with him to let her go with him.
"Please."
Robin bit her lip and nodded, then walked back over to the table and sat down as Spencer walked away.
"Where's he going?" Alice asked.
"To go get Jesse." She answered.
Before anyone could ask where that was, Scott and Nathan came up and sat down, smiling brightly. "Hey guys." Scott greeted cheerfully.
"I'm guessing that means you got in?" Mason asked, smiling at them.
"Yeah." Nathan nodded. "And its all thanks to Scott."
"No, it's all thanks to you." Scott chuckled as he leaned in and kissed his boyfriend.

Spencer walked out of school to the park, where he did, in fact, find Jesse. He was smoking marijuana with Christian, Mark, and Cally, all of whom didn't show up at school that day.
Spencer was angry. He threw his backpack on the ground and grabbed the pipe roughly out of Jesse's hand and threw it into the street, where is was soon ran over by a truck, crushing it.
"What the hell, man?" Jesse yelled, standing up and glaring at the blue ranger.
Spencer gave him a look and pushed him back down onto the bench. "What the hell?" He asked. "Please." He rolled his eyes. "You're pathetic, and so are you three." He glared at Christian, Mark, and Cally.
"You're gonna let him talk to us like that, Jesse?" Christian asked.
Jesse stood up and punched the blue ranger in the jaw before pushing him to the ground. "Don't mess with my friends."
"You're drunk, too, aren't you?" Spencer asked as he spat blood out into the grass.
"Why wouldn't he be?" Mark asked, kicking Spencer in the ribs, making the boy glare up at him with his jaw clenched.
Christian came up and did the same thing to him, but on the other side. Spencer hissed in pain. Christian was stronger than Mark, and had a hard kick and punch, so this did cause him pain.
Soon, Mark, Christian, and Jesse were kicking him, and Spencer knew he would be sore after this. Suddenly, Cally cried out.
"Monsters!" She screeched in terror.
Spencer groaned as they stopped and ran away, except for Jesse, who, even under the influence on alcohol and drugs, could be brave enough to challenge an alien, though, it wasn't a very good idea. Spencer watched as Jesse threw a punch at the alien. The alien laughed at him and grabbed his hand as he tried to throw another punch. He twisted Jesse's arm and pushed him to the ground. He picked him up by the neck, making Jesse squirm to get out of his grasp so he could breathe.
The alien laughed in Jesse's face, assaulting his nose with his harsh breath. "You are a pathetic human. Not even your friends want to help you anymore. You will die at the hands of me, and I will become a general in the Deboss army!"
Spencer had enough and tapped a button on his morpher to call for a blaster, and another to call the others. He put his morpher back in his pocket and blasted the alien. He defended himself, but it disoriented him enough to drop the green ranger, who fell to the ground half conscious and gasping for air.
The alien roared in discontent and kicked Jesse onto his back, and stomped on his back, eliciting a painful cry from the boy. Spencer swore he heard some of his ribs cracking. Then, he took his foot off of his back and put it on his head, and began slowly applying pressure.
"No!" Spencer cried. "Please! Stop!"
Spencer tried to get up, but some of his ribs were broken and he was having a difficult time breathing. Sitting up rendered him out of breath; he couldn't stand without help. All he could do was cry out and shoot his blaster.
He held up the blaster and shot it at the alien, but it harmlessly bounced off of his pickaxe. Suddenly, a person ran over and grabbed Spencer's blaster, flipped over the alien and shot it in the back, making it fall over, and get off of Jesse. The person immediately knelt down and moved Jesse away from the alien before running over to help Spencer.
Spencer's jaw dropped. "Reese? What are you doing here? Run."
"You're really saying that to someone who just saved your life?" Reese asked, looking his brother over.
"Yes!" Spencer nodded, eyes wide. "You could get killed."
"So could you or Jesse. Give me your morpher." He ordered, putting his hand out.
"What? You can't morph." Spencer looked at him like he was crazy.
"I know, just give it to me." Spencer looked at him warily, but handed him the desired object. Reese pressed a few buttons and made Spencer's sword appear. He put the blaster in his left hand and the sword in his right and stood. "Reese!" Spencer hissed, hoping to stop his brother before he did anything to hurt himself.
"It's okay, Spencer." Reese said as he tries to slash at the alien, but the alien stopped him with his pickaxe. The two were both pushing on their weapons, and seemed to be of the same strength.
"Come on, Reese." Spencer whispered under his breath, before being distracted by Jesse groaning and looking around.
Jesse was half conscious and his vision was blurry and black at the edges, but when he looked up, he could've sworn he saw Reese fighting the alien. He saw a flash of silver, and assumed that his vision was confusing Reese with Spencer's sword. He tried to get up, but his arms felt like jelly and he collapsed into the dirt again, but it hurt very badly. Jesse knew he was injured, there was no mistaking it, but he didn't think it was as bad as this.
Meanwhile, Reese was locked in an intense battle with this alien. He continued to push, but his arm was beginning to get tired and he could tell the alien was just getting started, so he used the blaster to disorient him a bit, before overpowering him and slashing him to the ground. His eyes widened as he saw a flash of silver on his arm, and clapped his hand over it, making it disappear. He smiled in victory, but this was short-lived, as the alien had a few tricks up his sleeve and threw coin looking bombs at him before disappearing.
At first, Reese laughed, as they just looked like normal coins, but as he knelt down to look at them, they exploded, sending him flying into the bleachers.
"No!" Spencer yelled, reaching out as if to grab his brother, but he wasn't close enough. Reese laid in the bleachers, groaning and holding his shoulder in pain, and Spencer couldn't help him. He was left to watch.
But, then the other rangers appeared. Alice ran over to him and began looking him over while Mason was looking over Reese and Robin was looking over Jesse.
"Are you alright?" Alice asked.
"Reese comes first." Spencer said, refusing to answer unless his brother was okay first.
"Mason's checking him over. Come on, we gotta get you back to AD." Alice said, then looked up as Matt came over. "Need some help?" He asked.
Spencer looked back and saw Mason helping his brother up carefully, and then looked over and saw Robin and James helping Jesse up. He then turned to Matt and nodded, allowing them to help him.

As Jesse came to, he felt an intense pain in his head and ribs. He tried sitting up, but someone shoved him down. He groaned in pain and looked over to see Robin standing there with her hands on her hips. She didn't look happy.
"What's wrong?" He didn't remember anything. "What happened?"
"You went to that park and got high and drunk and then you beat up Spencer with Christian and Mark." She growled. "Then, you challenged an alien without morphing, broke 4 ribs, bruised 3 of them, and got a concussion, along with a hangover. And now, we're not giving you painkillers."
"The whole time I recover?" Jesse asked, gaping.
Robin shrugged. "I don't know, it depends on how Spencer feels, and right about now, he feels pretty bad, especially since Reese got involved in the fight and dislocated his shoulder, bruised some ribs, and has a bruise on his head the size of Texas. Just be glad he'll be okay."
"What?" Jesse asked, trying to sit up. "Where are they? Where am I?"
"You're in the infirmary, and so are they. Kyro put up a curtain to separate you and them. They don't wanna see you right now, and quite frankly, I hardly want to see you."
"But, what about Spencer?"
"What about him?"
"How is he doing?"
"Oh now you care." Robin scoffed.
"Please, Robin." Jesse pleaded.
Robin sighed and peeked out of the curtain before looking back at the green ranger. "He's okay. I mean, aside from the broken and bruised ribs and the swollen lip, he's fine. He's sitting with Reese, who's resting."
"Robin, I have to talk to Spencer." Jesse said.
"He doesn't want to talk to you. He's afraid of hurting you - the guy who was supposed to be his best friend, but turns on him and..."
"I was drunk!"
"And high." Robin added.
"Exactly. You know I would never hurt Spencer on purpose."
"I know." Robin nodded. "But its still your fault." She turned to walk out, but Jesse said something before she could, "Christian and Mark got me high and drunk."
"What?" Robin asked, turning back around. She knew Jesse was with the two, but didn't know they had created the problem.
"Yeah. They called my name and I started yelling at them, and then they blew smoke in my face, and kept doing it until I took it from them and did it myself. They tempted me because they knew I used to do it. Then, when I was high and vulnerable, they made me drink. You have to believe me, Robin. I didn't want to. I was trying to avoid it, but they tempted me. I'm sorry." Jesse explained, looking guilty.
Robin walked up to him and carefully wrapped her arms around him as she cried. "Why are you crying?" Jesse asked, wrapping his arms around her as well.
"I knew you wouldn't do that. I'm relieved." She let go of him and wiped her tears. "I'm gonna talk to Spencer. I'll be right back."

"Where's Scott?" Matt asked, looking around the room at the remaining rangers.
"Right here." Scott said as he walked into the room. "Sorry I'm late, I was in Glee club."
"You weren't in battle either." Matt commented, raising an eyebrow at the black ranger.
"I was busy." Scott defended. "It's not my fault that I have other things going on besides being a ranger."
"But being a ranger comes first. I would've expected you to know that by now." Matt retorted.
Scott narrowed his eyes. "Well then, maybe, I don't wanna be a ranger! I wanna have fun with my friends and boyfriend, but being a ranger always affects that, doesn't it? You know what I say? Screw it! I don't need this!" Scott yelled, glaring at the red ranger. "I quit!" He stormed out of the room, and the others heard the front door slam as Scott left.
Robin walked in just then, looking confused. "What happened?"
"Scott quit. Being a ranger was too much for him." Matt said.
Robin scowled at the red ranger. "Don't talk about Scott that way! He's saved your sorry ass more times that I can remember!"
"And? What difference does that make? He's gone now." Matt responded.
Robin growled and threw a punch at the red ranger, sending him to the floor. "I'm gonna go get Scott back." She stormed out of the room and out of AD, knowing where Scott would be.
She ran to Weller Park, where she knew Scott would be. She found him sitting on a swing that was much to small for him. She joined him and sat on the swing next to him. "Hey." She greeted quietly.
Scott looked over at her. "Hey."
"What are you doing here, Scott?" She asked.
"I just can't do it anymore, Robin. It's too much." He shook his head, looking towards the ground.
"What do you mean?" She asked.
He sighed. "I always miss out on the things I want to do, and even when I don't, it feels like the ranger business somehow intertwines itself into it. And, of course, there's always the battle itself."
"What about it?"
"'What about it?'" He repeated in exasperation. "Every time there's a battle, someone always gets hurt, or dies. Sometimes I just wonder if it's really all worth it."
"Because of Dr. Parker." She concluded.
Scott nodded. "After that, I got to thinking, and I don't know if this is all worth it. I mean, is it really worth dying for?"
Robin sighed. "Scott, I really wish I could answer that question for you, but the truth is that none of us could possibly know what's gonna happen when we rush into a battle. I don't know what drives you to do it, but I know that the world and everyone in it drives me. I know how hard it was and still probably is for you to think about Dr. Parker and his horrible death, but you have to realize that there's still billions of other people on this planet that need your help. You can't quit."
"But..."
"No buts." Robin said. "Scott, if you leave, the rest of us are going to be in way more danger, and we might lose someone else. We need you, Scott. It doesn't matter what Matt said or what he thinks, but I know that the rest of us want you on the team and need you. Trust me."
He smiled. "Thank, Robin."
She smiled back. "No problem." She stood up, and he followed right behind her. "Let's go home."
He nodded, and they turned to leave, they were blasted back by an explosion behind them. The two groaned and pushed themselves up, only to see the alien they were fighting earlier standing over them.
"Two lone rangers all by themselves?" He laughed. "You will feel the wrath of Zaihon!"
"So that's your name." Robin muttered. She pulled her morpher out of her pocket, as did Scott.
"Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"Power of the Parasaurolophus!"
"Power of the Triceratops!"
The two blasted the alien, who stumbled back a bit, but didn't seem too fazed. However, this gave the two enough room to jump up from the ground and grab their swords to begin fighting Zaihon.
~PRDS~
While the other rangers ran into battle, Spencer and Jesse stayed behind. Reese was still asleep, and Spencer wasn't really doing anything, so he decided to go see Jesse. Robin has talked to him earlier, and while he wanted to, he also wanted to make sure they would be completely alone before that.
Spencer stood up slowly, wincing in pain as he did so. He was still in pain, even with painkillers in his system.
"Jesse?" He asked, turning around to see the other boy stumbling into the room, holding his own ribs.
"Hey." He greeted, looking at the ground, too ashamed to look Spencer in the eyes. "How are you feeling?"
Spencer looked at him for a long moment before answering, "I'll be okay. What about you?"
Jesse finally looked up at him, shocked. Spencer's expression also turned to one of shock upon seeing Jesse's red-rimmed eyes. He had been crying, and Spencer knew that Jesse never cried, not after what happened when he was young. "I'm fine." Jesse answered finally.
Spencer shook his head. "Not you're not."
"What?" Jesse asked, confused.
"You're not okay. Why are you crying?" He asked, his expression unreadable.
"I wasn't crying."
Spencer rolled his eyes. "Tell me the truth."
"I'm sorry, Spencer. I really am. I know there's nothing I can do to make up for my actions, but I just want you to know that I truly am sorry." He looked towards the door, and began walking as fast as he could over to it.
"Where are you going?" Spencer asked, walking over to the door and closing it before Jesse could leave. "You're not even gonna try to make up for your actions? You're just gonna leave like that?" Jesse wasn't the type to do that, and this was confusing for Spencer, and though he wasn't trying to lecture his friend, it came out like he was.
"What can I do, Spencer? There's nothing I can do." Jesse replied. "I don't want to, but I know prodding wouldn't help."
Spencer didn't responded, but he pulled the green ranger into a hug, one that proved very painful for both of them, but neither wanted to pull away, for they had been worried that both of them had lost their best friend.
Jesse was the first to let go, and when Spencer pulled away, Jesse looked confused. "What was that for? I've been a jerk."
"I don't care." Spencer shook his head. "You apologized, and Robin told me everything. I was just waiting for your apology."
Jesse chuckled. "You're a jerk."
Spencer let out a laugh. "I know." He narrowed his eyes at the green ranger. "Where were you exactly planning to go, anyway?"
Jesse bit his lip. "I was gonna go to battle." He admitted.
Spencer's expression quickly went south. "Are you crazy? You would've gotten killed."
Jesse shrugged. "Maybe."
~PRDS~
Meanwhile, the other rangers were thrown back once again by Zaihon.
"Guys, I know we're not all happy with each other, but we need to work together. Come on, lets tag team it." Matt smirked as the six remaining rangers stood up.
Alice and Mason ran forward first, slashing the alien back with their swords. Then, Robin and Scott jumped up, flipped off of Alice's and Mason's shoulders, and blasted him as they came down and landed behind him. Finally, Matt and James ran forward, blasting him as they went, before pulling out their swords and slashing him, delivering the final blow before Zaihon exploded behind them.
"Great job, guys." Matt smiled as they demorphed.
Robin looked guiltily towards him. "Sorry, Matt." She saw the bruise on his cheek as he turned towards her.
He waved it off. "Don't worry about it. I should be the one apologizing to you and Scott."
Scott smiled. "It's fine. I just need a little help realizing where my place is." He glanced over at Robin, who smiled.
"So," Alice smiled mischievously. "I say we get some ice cream." She began backing up slowly.
James nodded. "Sounds awesome." He smiled. The others gave him strange looks and he clarified. "Alice and Mason wanted me to talk more normal."
Robin chuckled, then realized something. "What about Spencer and Jesse? They can't get ice cream." Robin asked.
"We can bring some back for them." She smirked. "Last one there pays!" She took off in a full sprint, the others following shortly behind her.
Next time on Power Rangers Dino Squad: It's Christmas time for the Dino Squad rangers and everyone is happy, until, of course, an alien begins turning people's holiday cheer sour. The rangers must figure out how to destroy the monster before their Christmas is ruined. Also, the rangers find out how close Jesse's birthday is to Christmas, and decide to have a bit of fun messing with him.
