Robin awoke to her phone buzzing and groaned quietly. She didn't want to wake up Jesse. Unfortunately, she did. His arm was draped around her waist and as he awoke, he groaned and propped himself up on his elbow.
"Is there a reason I am awake this early?" Jesse questioned her with his eyes closed, ready to go back to sleep.
Robin took her phone off the nightstand and checked the time before turning back to the green rangers with a smirk. "It's seven. Calm down."
"I'm injured, I need sleep." He laid back down ungracefully and pulled the covers over his head and bare chest.
Robin rolled her eyes and pulled the covers off of his face. "Please. It's just your hand." She looked back at her phone and scrolled down, biting her lip.
"My hand is very important to me." Jesse retorted, feigning offense. Seeing as she didn't respond, he propped himself back up and looked over her shoulder. "Who called you?"
"Payton." She said, a hint of questioning in her voice. It wasn't unusual for her sister to call her - in fact, Payton called her quite often, Robin just never responded. Though, this many calls did concern her.
"Your sister?" Jesse asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Yeah." Robin nodded numbly. "She called me thirty two times." She swiped the screen to call her back and held the phone up to her ear. Payton didn't answer, and Robin, frustrated, threw her phone at the ground. She cringed when she heard it crack under the pressure.
Jesse stared at her incredulously as she got out of bed and picked up her phone. "Not that I don't approve of your decisions, but I don't really want broken glass on my floor." He smirked. "Next time we're sleeping in your room."
"You do realize I'm not even supposed to be in here, right? Kyro would kill us." Robin said, observing the damage to her phone. Then, her phone beeped with a text message. It was from Payton.
Sorry I didn't answer but I was looking something up. Read the attachment ASAP!
Robin opened the link and saw a picture of her and her mother in a news article. This can't be good! She thought. The headline read:
Local woman, Michelle Smith's, daughter, Robin Smith, disappeared into thin air without a trace. Seen in Sol Valley, California twenty minutes later.
"Oh no." Robin said as she read the article. "My mom told the news about how I teleported away. People are suspecting me as a ranger! Damn it!"
"Are you serious?" Jesse asked, sitting up quickly as she handed him the phone. He read the article and looked up at her, worried. "That doesn't mean anything. I mean, they can't necessarily find out if you act totally normal."
"Yeah, but what if there's a battle?"
"Stay behind." Jesse shrugged.
"It's not that simple. They'll see the pink ranger missing." Robin groaned.
"Oh, come on, who's gonna believe this stuff anyway?" Jesse asked as he stood up and wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed her temple. He then pulled away. "Come on, let's get ready for school."
"Alright." Robin nodded after a moments hesitation.
In the other room, Scott and Nathan sat on the couch, the former leaning into the latter, not doing anything but enjoying each others presence.
"Nate?" Scott asked, looking up at him for a moment.
"Yeah?" Nathan responded.
"I was thinking.. well, maybe we should go out on a date." Scott asked sheepishly. Because of the scorn of others, they had mostly been kept from going on formal dates.
Nathan smiled and squeezed Scott closer to him. "That would be perfect. What were you thinking of doing?"
Scott returned the smile, as his confidence was lifted by Nathan's enthusiasm. "I was thinking maybe dinner and a movie?"
Nathan paused and Scott felt nervous. Did he say something wrong? "Scott, since I'm a spirit, I don't eat. A movie would be great, but I can't eat with you."
Scott pulled away and frowned at the gray ranger. "Really? Not even just cause?"
"No." Nathan shook his head. "I don't have a digestive system to eat with. Sorry."
Scott felt a bit frustrated by this, but nodded and tried not to let it show. "It's fine. A movie it is." Now I have to cancel our reservations. He thought irritatingly.
Meanwhile, when the others were about to leave, Spencer dropped his backpack off by his brother's room and hesitated for a moment. Since his brother had gotten a bit better, he was finally moved into a room of his own, and while Spencer liked it better than the infirmary, he didn't like that there wasn't even one window to see into the room. He didn't know if Reese was sleeping or not and didn't want to disturb him.
He heard a door open and turned to the side to see Robin and Jesse coming out of Jesse's room, two doors over, and smirked. "Didn't expect that." He laughed, and Jesse playfully hit him and laughed as well. Robin, already in a bad mood, shook her head and walked away.
"She's in a bad mood." Jesse whispered to his best friend.
"You're not as good as she hoped?" Spencer joked, nudging his friend.
"Oh haha." Jesse chuckled. Then, he sobered. "The press might be onto her about being a ranger."
"What?" Spencer exclaimed, a little louder than intended, though he fortunately didn't attract any attention.
"Yeah, but I don't think anyone's gonna believe it." Jesse said.
"Hopefully." Spencer added. "You never know."
"You're right." Jesse nodded. He looked at Spencer and the door behind him and realized what he was doing. "Hey, I'll see you at school, alright?"
Spencer nodded and Jesse clapped his friend on the shoulder. Spencer stifled a laugh as Jesse didn't realize that he hit with his bad hand and turned back, barely not letting out a groan of pain.
Then, Jesse walked away, leaving Spencer to his task. Spencer opened the door slightly and poked his head in. Reese's eyes were closed, seemingly asleep, but as Spencer was about to close the door, Reese said, "I'm awake, Spence," and opened his eyes.
Spencer smiled sheepishly and walked in, closing the door behind him. It had been a week since they had both woken up, and was the first day Spencer had to go back to school, which meant leaving his brother.
"Did I wake you?" Spencer asked, hopeful that the answer was no.
Spencer did, in fact, wake Reese up with his yell in the hallway, but Reese wasn't about to tell him that. He shook his head ever so slightly. "No, I've been awake." He said tiredly. Despite that he had been asleep, he was still very tired. His injuries combined with him still being ill made him very tired, but at least it was better than before.
Spencer came over and placed a hand on the elder's forehead, but it was weakly waved away but his brother. "I'm okay." Reese said weakly, though he coughed to contradict his statement.
Spencer handed him a water bottle which he took with a very shaky hand. Spencer immediately put a hand on the bottle to steady it and helped him drink some. "Maybe I should stay here today."
"No." Reese rasped. "You need to go. Junior year is important, I'll be fine. I have Kyro in case anything happens or if I need something."
Spencer seemed hesitant, and Reese pushed him weakly, which didn't make much of a difference, but made Spencer chuckle a bit. Despite the fact that he was upset that Reese was so weak, it was always funny when his brother pushed him like that. He used to do that when they were younger and Spencer didn't want to do something.
"I promise, Spence." Reese said, sinking further into the bed to get comfortable. "I'll be fine. Go to school."
"Alright." He sighed. "But if anything happens..."
"I know, I know. You'll go ballistic, now go!" Reese pointed towards the door with a shaky arm, and Spencer left, leaving Reese to finally let out another cough.

Spencer arrived late, but the minute he did, he already knew something was off. Fox News reporters were swarming the school, and by the time he reached his class, everyone stared at him.
"What's going on?" He whispered to Matt as he sat down in his seat.
"People think we're the rangers." He said, giving a pointed look at him.
"How?" Spencer questioned as people continued to stare at them.
"Robin teleported away from her mother and was spotted in town 20 minutes later. That doesn't just happen, Spencer." Matt stated, a bit moody.
"Great." Spencer said sarcastically. "Now it's gonna be even easier to do our job."

Liela pulled Kyro aside and spoke in a low tone, "Are you aware that everyone knows that they are the rangers?"
"I am." Kyro nodded, but didn't seem worried. He was strangely stoic.
"Do you not think this is a problem? Because it seems like one." Liela pointed out. "I mean, it'll be dangerous if people know."
"Yes, but they won't know." Kyro said.
"And what makes you think that?" Liela raised an eyebrow. She knew Kyro had his ways, but it was strange to see him this sure about something she didn't even know the solution to.
"I have a plan." Kyro smirked.
"You don't mean..." She was cut off when Kyro nodded and said, "I do."
"Are you sure they're ready to even be out? I mean, sure she's the farthest with her powers but..."
"If I let her out to do this, I have to let the other two out with her."
"What about... You know, the other three? Or what if the rangers see them?"
"I'll handle it." Kyro said, putting a hand on her shoulder.
"I trust you." Liela nodded and watched him walk away with a want in her eyes.
Kyro walked back to a secluded hallway, blocked off by a sealed door, and opened one of the doors. "Are you ready for your first mission?"

"Time after time again you've failed." Deboss said, sitting in his throne and glaring down at Candelilla. "And when you're not failing, you're not doing anything!" He raised his staff at her, but she put her hands up in pleading.
"Please, Master, don't destroy me!" Candelilla cried.
"Why shouldn't I?" His staff was glowing an angry shade of red and was pointed at her.
"You haven't seen me fight yet! I promise, I'll make this right!" Candelilla pleaded.
Deboss' staff stopped glowing and he sat back further into his chair, and nodded. "Alright, Candelilla, if you destroy even one of the rangers, I'll let you live." Candelilla nodded with a smile. "But if not, I'll destroy you myself."

Fortunately, the rangers didn't get called out of school that day to fight, however, it was on the way back to AD that they noticed something was wrong. No one was in the usually bustling park that they walked through to get home.
"Where is everybody?" James asked as the rangers stopped and looked around the empty park.
"Maybe they all found a new park to go to?" Jesse suggested, but the playground equipment was moving and there were things abandoned throughout the park. People were obviously just there.
"Guys," Alice whispered. "I doubt we're alone."
"We should morph." Matt ordered in a low tone. "Ready?"
"Ready."
"Dino Squad, Powe..."
They were cut off when a blast knocked them to the ground. Smoke covered their vision, but they could just see the outline of a figure walking towards them. When the smoke cleared, they saw their enemy.
"Who are you?" Matt asked, as the rangers had never encountered her before.
"I am the general Candelilla!" She yelled, smirking down at them. "And you pitiful humans will be gone before the days end."
She put her hand out in front of her and blasted at the rangers, but they jumped up and morphed, "Dino Squad, Power Up!"
"No matter." She said as the rangers stood in a line in front of them. "I'll destroy you all anyway."
The rangers took out their weapons and let out battle cries as they ran forwards, but Candelilla easily dodged them and snapped her fingers. "Zorima!"
Suddenly, dozens upon hundreds of foot soldiers surrounded them, and Candelilla watched with glee as the rangers fought against them.
Matt, Spencer, and Alice stood back to back in a triangle formation, shooting their blasters at the Zorima that got near them.
"Duck!" Alice yelled as a Zorima got too close and tried to take their heads off. Alice stabbed at the Zorima with his sword, then threw it at the others near her. Then, she pulled away from the boys and flipped over into a pile of Zorima and began slashing, shooting, and stabbing at them on her own.
Jesse, Robin, and James were in a similar situation, except they weren't back to back, which seemed to be a mistake when a Zorima slammed the hilt of it's sword into James' back and made him fall down.
Jesse and Robin immediately ran over to assist him, pulling various Zorima off of him and throwing them at others nearby to keep them away.
Scott, Nathan, and Aria were the last ones, and seemed to be doing the best. Aria was thrown down by a Zorima but caught its neck between her ankles and threw it over her head into a pile of the rest of them, then flipped over back onto her feet, shooting other Zorima as she did.
Nathan was fighting near Scott, as the black ranger was hesitant to let him out of his sight, though Nathan could tell that something was bothering him. As a Zorima swung at him, Nathan disappeared to avoid the hit. The Zorima around him seemed confused when he suddenly reappeared high up in the air and spun, shooting them all as he came down. Scott watched him, as Nathan had also destroyed all of the remaining Zorima and regrouped with the others.
They were all exhausted, including Scott, but Nathan was not. As a spirit, Nathan didn't get tired anymore. Scott found himself frustrated, and he didn't know why. He should be happy that nothing really ails his boyfriend anymore, but he wasn't and he didn't know why.
Candelilla, meanwhile, was frustrated that her Zorima was destroyed, and knew it was her turn to fight. She reached on her back and pulled out an axe that was modeled after a broken heart. "Come at me, rangers!" She cried, before running forward.
The rangers all spread out as she swung at them, however, she didn't miss. She stopped and hit her axe with her hand, and sparks flew off of the ranger's suits, knocking them to the ground.
They quickly recovered and stood back up when Candelilla's eyes flashed and another blast was sent their way. They groaned from the ground.
Robin, however, used her sword as leverage and stood back up, charging at the general. She swung at her, but the hit was avoid nimbly. Candelilla punched her in the stomach and tried to blast her, but Robin ducked and slashed at her legs, causing her to fall to the ground.
Candelilla flipped back up onto her feet and swung her axe upwards, making the pink ranger fly back to where the other rangers stood. Jesse and Spencer went to help Robin while the others ran at the monster.
Candelilla ducked and flipped out of the way of the attacks. Scott growled in frustration. "She moves too fast."
"Just keep trying!" Matt called, but his words were not helpful when he himself got thrown back into a tree and demorphed.
Scott ran forward angrily with Nathan and they both slashed at the general together but she ducked and kicked her leg out, knocking them off of their feet before stepping on Nathan's back. However, the gray ranger disappeared to her shock. Scott's sword came up and hit her, but only slightly. Candelilla grabbed his sword with her free hand and threw it off to the side and then grabbed him by the neck. "This always seems to happen to you with generals, doesn't it, black ranger?" She threw him to the side and he demorphed upon impact.
Nathan then reappeared, very angry, and came down, slashing her with his sword. It made a mark, and Candelilla cried out in pain and anger. She slashed him with her axe and threw him to the side next to Scott, and he demorphed.
Aria, Alice, and James came up next and they blasted at her back, causing a burn. She turned and blasted them back in response. They demorphed before they hit the ground.
Then, it was Jesse, Spencer, and Robin. They came at her, guns blazing and swords drawn, but she took them down easily with a few hits from her axe and a blast from her hands.
All of the rangers were now demorphed and at her mercy.
"Well, well." Candelilla smirked. "Who shall I destroy first?"
She walked up to Robin and smiled sweetly down at her, "Your days of living are up, pink ranger." She lifted her axe threateningly.
"No!" Jesse cried as the axe swung down.
Suddenly, a blast hit her in the back on the burn, causing a devastating blow. She stood there in shock for a moment before dropping her axe weakly to the side and slowly turning around. Black goo was oozing out from the large wound on her back and Robin was unharmed from the threatened attack.
Nathan was standing up with his blaster out, set on full power. "I think your days of living are up." He pulled the trigger once more, and she flew back, and landed dead on the ground behind the other rangers. The others stood up slowly, smiling at their win, however, Scott still felt extremely frustrated.

"Shall I make her grow, Master?" Aigaron asked, gesturing to a large button near the door.
Deboss shook his head. "No. She was worthless and doesn't deserve it. The rangers saved me the trouble." He gazed down at the general as the latter look like he was going to say something.
"Uhh.. Master, am I next?" Aigaron said, a bit sheepishly. He didn't want to fight the rangers, even if he was successful before.
Deboss shook his head. "I need the rest of my generals for the final battle. You are currently my head general, as you are the only one who has succeeded. Dogold, Endolf, and Chaos are needed though. Keep an eye on them and don't let them leave."
Aigaron smiled a bit and nodded. "Yes, Master."
"Please, call me Deboss." He smirked.
"Of course, Mas...I mean, Deboss."

After getting checked for injuries, Scott and Nathan sat in the living room in front of the TV silently as they regarded each other with looks, since they weren't actually watching anything.
Nathan decided to break the silence. "So, why are you so upset?" He asked, surprising Scott.
"I'm not upset." The black ranger shook his head.
"You're lying to me, Scott." Nathan said, giving him a look. "I know you're upset. You've been upset since we talked this morning."
"So?" Scott shrugged. "And I'm not upset as much as I am frustrated."
"Isn't that the same thing?" Nathan asked, trying to lighten the mood. It didn't work.
"No, because I'm not mad." Scott denied. "But I guess it's just hard for me to accept all the things you don't do anymore as a result of your..." Scott didn't want to say it. "You being a spirit." He opted for instead.
Nathan smiled softly at him and pulled him in close. "Scott, you're not upset because I don't do certain things anymore, you're upset because I'm not alive anymore. That frustrates you. I mean, sure, maybe the fact that we can't go to dinner might a little, but me being dead is really the problem."
Scott nodded a bit. "Yeah." He whispered, not knowing what else to say.
"Trust me, I don't like it either, but I can't change that and neither can you. We're just gonna have to live with it." He chuckled. "Or, at least you are."
Scott nudged him and pulled away. "That's not funny." Though, a small smile graced his lips.

A young girl, just turned 15, walked to the park with her friends where she saw a news crew packing up, and saw the anchor woman, Carrie Lewis, standing nearby, waiting for the crew to finish.
"Wait here, I got this." Her guy friend, Nick, said with a confident smirk. He was 6'1 with brown hair and confident green eyes, and was barely 17.
Her other friend, Jordan, pulled him back by the hood of his jacket, nearly choking him. She was 5'5 with dirty blonde hair and brown eyes, and was about to turn 15. "You don't have the power to do, Nick. Stay back and out of sight." She pulled him behind a tree where he hid and she turned invisible. Seconds later, however, she turned back and growled. "Stupid powers." She then reached up and grabbed a sturdy tree branch, which she pulled herself onto.
The girl, Renee, was walking to Carrie Lewis. Renee was 5'1 with slightly tan skin, brown hair, and blue eyes. She tapped the woman on her shoulder and the woman turned around. Carrie sighed, exasperated.
"Look sweetie, fans come up to me all the time, but I'm really busy toda..." She trailed off when Renee grabbed her arm and stared into her eyes. She was the farthest along with her powers, and could use them almost always.
Carrie became entranced with her eyes and Renee let go of her arm. "No one knows who the power rangers are." She spoke calmly. "Not you, not anybody. And no one will, got it?" Carrie nodded slowly. "Robin Smith and her friends are not important. You don't know who they are and you don't care. If someone tells you that they are rangers, you will laugh. It is impossible that ten teenagers are power rangers."
Carrie nodded and Renee spoke once more, "Oh, and stop being so rude. I was never here." She then blinked, letting Carrie come out of her trance and walked away.
Jordan jumped down from the tree and Nick came out from behind it. "Wow, that was a bit hypocritical of you." Jordan commented with a smirk as they walked back the way they came.
"What?" Renee asked, raising her eyebrows.
"'Stop being so rude.'" Jordan laughed. "You're the rudest person I know."
"You're ruder than me!" Renee exclaimed as they came to the back of a building.
"It's 'more rude' not 'ruder.'" Jordan corrected. "You're stupider than me." She let out a laugh. "Wow, I am 'ruder' than you."
Jordan opened the back door and the three walked in. They didn't see anyone in sight and eyed the front door to the secluded hallway as well as another door near them that they never saw opened.
They moved towards it, but the hallway door opened and Kyro stepped in. "Don't you dare." He shook his head as he saw them go to the other door. They smiled sheepishly and backed away. He opened their door. "Come on, go back in. I will be back in the morning for your classes."
They sighed and nodded, going back into the room and then looked at Kyro. "Will we ever get to go to real school?" Jordan asked, a bit moody, as usual.
Kyro nodded. "Once these rangers are done, you'll get out and be free to go to school and explore and maybe even see what's behind the door."
"Will we get another mission?" Nick asked, hopeful.
"Oh, I believe so." Kyro nodded as he closed the door. He had no idea how right he was.
Next time on Power Rangers Dino Squad: No longer ill, Reese gets back into training so he can fight again, but quickly gets frustrated with his injuries holding him back, though he soon has to push himself when, on spring break, the other rangers are shot with a beam from a monster named Vaacance that makes them lazy fighters and hard partiers, and only he and Nathan, who is unaffected by him being a spirit, are left to fight the monster.
