A/N: Sorry for having this chapter up after spring break guys, but I was sidetracked by Easter and meeting a Holocaust survivor, which *screaming on the inside* was a wonderful experience. Now, I hope you guys like this chapter!

Spencer stood beside Kyro with his arms crossed, a bit annoyed. Reese, finally not ill anymore, was starting to train to get back into shape after what happened, and Kyro gave Spencer specific rules to let Reese try first on his own without any help before he stepped in.

Now, Reese stood up from the chair he was sitting in, a bit shaky, and Spencer clenched his fists. He wanted to help his brother, but he more so wanted to strangle Will, who had down this, but as far as he knew, Will was dead. There was nothing he could do to him now, at least, nothing that would satisfy him. Destroying Will's burnt, dead body would not make his anger and hatred go away in the least.

Despite everything, Spencer was happy that Reese was even alive, no matter what state he was in. While he hated seeing his older brother in pain, he was just glad Reese was breathing and that his heart was beating.

Reese took a few shaky steps and stopped in front of a practice dummy and got into as good of a fighting position as he could with his injuries. He punched the dummy, and when he could usually make it bend back, it barely moved. In fact, Reese stumbled back a step.

Spencer glared at Kyro, but either the extraterrestrial didn't see him or chose to ignore him, because he didn't spare a look at the blue ranger. He was watching the older Morgan boy do a punch combo, which he did succeed. He wasn't as strong as he was before, but he was still doing well. Reese then tried to do a roundhouse kick, but because of his injuries, he lost balance and fell on his side.

"Reese!" Spencer ran forward, kneeling next to his brother, who rolled himself onto his back and looked up at Spencer.

He gave a small smile, "I'm fine." But Spencer wasn't convinced. There wasn't anything that would really convince him of this. But, he said nothing, instead standing up and offering his hand to his brother, who gladly took it and let Spencer help him up.

Then, the alarm rang out, signaling a battle. Spencer groaned, and Kyro gave him a look. He knew he had to go, so he turned to his brother and said quickly, "Don't work yourself too hard, I'll be back." He turned to Kyro. "And you don't work him to hard either."

Spencer glanced at both of them once more before running out of the room. Reese smiled.

"He's a great brother to you," Kyro commented. "You're lucky, as is he to have you."

Reese's smile turned into a tight one, "I'm way luckier to have him than he is to have me." He turned to face Kyro, his smile now completely gone. "I'm the older brother, I should be taking care of him, not the other way around."

"You do take care of him," Kyro added, "When you're able to."

"Exactly. I should be all the time, especially since I'm never able to." Reese sighed and sat down hard on the bench in the training room. He winced as pain shot through his body. "I'm a horrible brother." He muttered and through his towel down before standing up so quickly he almost fell. "This is so stupid! I'm so stupid! I always get myself into these stupid situations where I end up getting hurt. All the damn time! First I got stabbed, then I got beat up a few times, and now I fought my brother, got into an explosion, and almost drowned! I can't go one day without getting hurt. And that puts strain on Spencer, who, while he's learned to live with it, is depressed! I have to be able to take care of him. He's my little brother, and I've been doing it since I was young. Or at least I used to be. Now I can't even kick this damn dummy without falling!" He kicked his foot out as a roundhouse once again, and the dummy fell hard to the ground and left him breathless.

Kyro's eyebrows raised at the sight of him. Through the years he had known Reese, he had always been very happy and optimistic, and to see him so down was strange. Though, he had to admit, Reese did have a few things that broke through his supposed happiness. Reese, now, seemed like a very unhappy person who seemed to be very self-loathing. Kyro wondered how long he had been like this. He noted that Reese didn't act like this around Spencer.

"Does," Kyro started, pausing before he continued. "Depression run in your family?"

"Well, my mom and dad had it when they were younger. Well, they still have it, but they're like Spencer - they can handle it. They're actually pretty happy with their lives right now. Why?" Reese asked, crossing his arms.

"Well, I was just wondering if.. you have it." Kyro asked, as gently as possible.

"If I have it?" Reese seemed genuinely surprised, and Kyro nodded. "I'm not depressed, just agitated." He said, quietly.

"You can tell me, you know?" Kyro put a hand on his shoulder.

Reese stared at him for a long while before shaking his head. "No. I just... Don't like myself sometimes, but every teenager feels that way. There are good days and bad days, and this a bad day. Actually, I've been having a lot of bad days lately, all things considered. I'm just having a hard time dealing with my injuries, that's all."

"Why don't you talk to Spencer? It might make you feel better."

Reese was shaking his head from his brother's name. "No way. Spencer has enough problems as it is. I don't want to worry him."

"Guys!" Spencer laughed, walking somewhat sluggishly into the room. "You're so boring. I've been listening to you guys from the hallway."

Reese seemed taken aback, and also annoyed. "What?" He asked, not knowing what else to say.

"They got hit with a ray," Nathan said, striding into the room, bruises evident on his face and body. "That makes them lazy fighters and hard partiers. The others are already at the beach. That's all they want. It is spring break, after all." He rolled his eyes in distaste.

Spencer smiled and ran from the room shouting back about him going to the beach with the others.

"All of them?" Reese asked, fear building inside of him. If only Nathan didn't get hit, he was the only one to fight, besides himself, because he wouldn't let Nathan go alone.

"Yeah. I got hit too, but I'm a spirit, so it didn't affect me. Thank god for that too." Nathan said, shaking his head a bit.

"But.. you can't fight alone." Reese said, concerned both for Nathan's safety and the safety of the world. Nathan was tough, but he would be destroyed in a fight alone against a full-fledged monster.

"Well who else is gonna fight?" Nathan asked, before it dawned on him. He began to shake his head. "No. No way. Spencer would kill me, and you would get killed! You were hurt badly, and you're still recovering. You need to take it easy, and not fight."

"Nathan, you'd get killed in a fight alone, and Scott would kill me." Reese retorted.

"I'm already dead," Nathan pointed out, "But it doesn't matter. You're not gonna fight."

"Yeah, I am." Nathan was already shaking his head, and Reese came up with an idea. "How about this, we'll spar and if I win I get to help, and if not, I'll stay here."

Nathan stared at him for a moment before nodding. "Alright, Reese. Let's spar."

They both dropped into fighting positions and Kyro backed away to give them room.

Nathan let out a battle cry and rushed forward, throwing a punch in Reese's direction, but he caught it and twisted his arm behind his back. Reese smirked, but then Nathan disappeared and reappeared, kicking him in the side and throwing him onto the mat. Reese rolled back to his feet, his side burning in pain from his injuries and Nathan's attack.

Nathan ran at him again and he jumped up and flipped over him, kicking him in the back as he came down. He landed on his feet, but the pressure was a lot and he dropped down to his knees, glaring at Nathan who was getting back to his feet, and began to run at him again. Reese rolled out of the way and tripped him. Reese then pinned him down and smiled.

"Guess I'm fighting." He said breathlessly.

Nathan flipped him over and suddenly he was on top of him, pinning him down. "Guess not." Reese winced and Nathan quickly let go and stood, offering a hand to him.

Reese took it, but instead of using him as help to get up, Reese flipped him to the ground and stood up with a moan of pain. He walked over to Nathan, who was on the ground, breathing heavily with a slight smile on his face. "You were saying?" Reese asked, smirking.

"That was cheating." Nathan joked. "But I'll give it to you. You can fight."

Nathan pulled himself to his feet. "I gotta go check on the others. You stay here." And he left the room.

As soon as he did, though, Reese collapsed to his knees in pain. Kyro gasped and ran over to him, kneeling next to the silver ranger. "Reese, are you alright?"

Reese shook his head in frustration. "No. I may have won, but it was so painful."

"Maybe you shouldn't fight. You should just rest. You're not making anything better by straining yourself." Kyro told him, his hand on the boy's shoulder.

The alarm rang out and Reese looked to Kyro, and expression Kyro couldn't determine on his face. "I have to." He whispered before forcing himself to his feet and limping out of the building.

By the time Reese got to the fight, Nathan was already locked in a battle against Vaacance, a monster themed after summer, and a crab.

Vaacance drilled into Nathan's chest with his right hand, which was themed after an ice cream cone, and threw Nathan back into a tree. The gray ranger demorphed and laid on the ground, struggling to get up. Vaacance stalked towards him, snapping his crab clawed hand and revving up is ice cream cone drill hand in a threatening way.

Reese couldn't watch anymore and ran forward, kicking the monster in the back and standing in a fighting stance behind it. The monster turned slowly and laughed at him.

"The silver ranger?" He cackled. "You're a joke! You can't take a hit!"

Reese growled. "I can't take a hit? Just wait and see who can't take a hit!" He pulled out his morpher, "Dino Squad, Power up!"

There, Reese stood, clad in his silver ranger gear, and felt a rush of energy surge through him, making his injuries feel like nothing. He took out his sword and pointed it at Vaacance.

"It's just you and me now." He sneered. "You think I can't take a hit? Watch me."

Vaacance cackled at him and shot a blast at him. "That's the beam that hit the others!" Nathan cried. "Watch out!"

Reese, heading Nathan's warning, ducked under the first blast and jumped over the second one when it came his way. He pulled out his own blaster when another shot came his way and ran forward, sliding onto his knees and shooting at the alien. The alien stumbled back, but quickly regained his bearings and ran forward, his right hand spinning as he slashed Reese, making him fall back.

Reese groaned but stood back up. He decided for something new, something Will had shown him and Nathan while they were under evil influence. "Super Mode!" He called, pressing 2-7-4-0 on his morpher. Immediately, his left arm had spikes coming out of his suit. He laughed, feeling even more power than before.

"You're going down!" Reese cried, running forward and slashing the alien with his arm. Vaacance with stunned, and stumbled, but still kept his ground. Reese took out his sword and slashed the alien, before flipping over him and shooting him to the ground with his blaster. Vaacance stood again, dazed. As Reese came again, Vaacance readied himself and grabbed the silver ranger with his clawed hand and lifted him high, squeezing his body tight.

Reese felt the air leaving his body and heard one of his nearly recovered broken ribs snap again as Vaacance squeezed tighter. Reese, beginning to get light headed, tried to stab at the alien with his sword, but his grip weakened and he dropped the sword.

"No!" Nathan cried, trying to get back to his feet, but to no avail.

Reese struggled and kicked, fighting hard to get out when he realized he was still in super mode. He brought his arm down hard on the pincher and sure enough, Reese was released, both him and Vaacance falling hard to the ground. Reese took deep breaths to try and maintain his breathing and eventually pulled himself up. He looked over at the alien, who was also pulling himself up, and saw that half of the claw was missing. Reese smiled with satisfaction. He dropped to the floor when Vaacance shot a blast at him and blasted the alien in response.

Vaacance fell down, and Reese got up and went over to Nathan, "Are you alright?" He asked, trying to pull him to his feet.

Nathan nodded. "Yeah... Reese, look out!" Reese dropped Nathan to the ground as he was hit in the back with the drill on Vaacance's right arm. Reese was thrown back slightly and demorphed when he hit the grassy floor.

Reese nearly passed out. Morphed, all of his injuries felt like no big deal, but now, with his old and new injuries, he felt awful. He didn't want to move or fight, but he knew that Nathan couldn't get up and that the others weren't able to because of the blast. Then, he had an idea and tried to get up, but fell back down and closed his eyes.

"No!" Nathan called as Vaacance stepped over Reese and put his foot up.

"I told you you couldn't take a hit." Vaacance smirked as he brought his foot down, but was stunned when Reese opened his eyes and grabbed his foot, before throwing his sword out and throwing Vaacance at it, impaling him. Vaacance pulled the sword out and stared at Reese as black goo dripped out of his wound, before falling to the ground and exploding.

Then Reese gave a lob-sided smile before collapsing to the ground.

"What the hell is going on?" Spencer asked. "Where's Reese?"

"And Nathan!" Scott added angrily as the rangers stood in the main room, questioning Kyro.

"Right there." Robin spoke up, staring in horror as Nathan collapsed to his knees with an unconscious Reese beside him.

Spencer and Scott both called out to them and ran over to them. Scott helped Nathan up and led him to the infirmary while Spencer helped Reese, who regained consciousness at his brother's call to him, sit up.

"Are you alright?" Spencer asked.

Reese nodded breathlessly. "I'm fantastic."

"But you were..." Reese cut him off. "I was just exhausted, but I'm fine, Spence. Just a bit banged up, don't worry." He looked around and then back to his brother. "Help me up?"

Spencer nodded and jumped up, offering his hand to his older brother, who took it gratefully to stand. He leaned against the wall for a moment before pushing away from it.

"Thanks, bro." Reese smiled.

"Anytime." Spencer nodded.

Reese looked past him at his girlfriend and smiled wider. "Come on, Ari, let's go."

She frowned, confused. "Go where?"

Reese shrugged. "Let's just go and hang out." Aria smiled softy and nodded. She came over to him and grabbed his hand as they left.
