Sorry this took so long. I've just had a bit of writers block on this story. Hopefully it's been resolved now...

The flight was almost two hours long and despite Rick trying to convince her otherwise, Kate refused to lay Noah down on the seat beside her. She held him in her arms during the entire flight. She sang to him softly and rocked him back and forth slowly. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Despite Noah being pronounced healthy, Kate was still scared of losing him.

Rick whispered to her softly, "He's going to be fine Kate."

She shrugged and whispered, "You can't know that Rick. I thought he was fine before all of this happened and.."

"And the doctors said that he's in remission. They know..."

She shook her head and he saw the tears in her eyes, "I was so sure that I was going to lose him and he's my baby boy. I..."

Rick nodded and kissed her on the cheek. Maybe later he would tell her. Admit to her just how scared he actually had been, but for now, he would keep that fact to himself. He needed to be strong for her. For Noah and for the rest of their families. Admitting his fears seemed like admitting that he was a failure to them. So, for now he would pretend like everything was fine.

When the plane touched down at the Orlando Airport, Noah and Kate had both fallen asleep. Alexis and Samantha were bouncing up and down with excitement, while Jim and Johanna were talking to each other. He noticed that his mother had a huge smile on her face. He smiled at her and she simply nodded at him in return.

Because of his semi-celebrity status, they allowed a limo to meet the plane on the runway. Both families climbed inside and whisked away to their hotel. Kate turned to Rick and asked, "What hotel are we staying at? You've been quite tight lipped about the whole thing."

Alexis popped her head over the seat and asked loudly, "Can I tell her dad?"

Rick knew that Alexis was dying to spill their secret location. He smiled at her softly, "Sure Pumpkin."

Alexis was practically bouncing up and down as she said, "We are staying at my favorite resort. It's awesome Kate! At night you can see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and they have an awesome lake that we can go swimming in. And don't even get me started on their pools! And dad always arranges to have a boat take us to the Ticket and Transportation Center so we don't have to wait for the monorail to the Magic Kingdom! Because it gets really, really crowded, but Sam and Noah might want to go for the first time. Cause there's nothing like seeing the Castle on the monorail for the first time!"

Kate smiled, "So, you like it?"

Alexis nodded her head vigorously, "Yesss!"

"So? What hotel is it?"

"It's the Polynesian Resort! It feels like we are in an island getaway Kate!"

Alexis flung herself back onto the seat and Kate laughed at the girls antics. Then she whispered to Rick, "She's excited."

He nodded and told her softly, "You would think that it was her first time visiting there, but no. We've been at least once a year. Sometimes more."

"Will we all fit in one room?"

Rick smiled and shook his head, "Nope, but I've arranged for us to have three studios. Adjoining of course. It will be more than enough to fit all of us. Oh and I'm arranging a date night for the two of us. Your parents have already agreed to watch the kids."

Kate looked at him in awe. She'd never had a man go all out for her or her children like this. She leaned over and kissed him on the lips softly and whispered, "I love you Richard Castle."

Rick beamed brightly at her. God he loved her so much. He knew that he always had and he always would. Letting her go all of those years ago was the worst thing that had ever happened to him. At least until Noah got sick. He was glad that their son survived. He wasn't sure that either one of them would have survived losing him.

When they pulled up to the hotel, there was a collective gasp from all of the Beckett's. It was obvious that they were impressed with the hotels opulence. Rick had fallen in love with it from the moment he'd set eyes on it years ago. It was one of the reasons why he and Alexis stayed there. It gave them the feeling of staying in the South seas without having to leave the country.

Walking through the lobby of the hotel, Kate felt like royalty. Rick was greeted by the hotel staff and they checked them all in. The adults were handed keys to their rooms and soon they were walking into one of the nicest hotel rooms that Kate had ever stayed in. She walked over to the balcony and opened the door. She whispered softly, "It's beautiful Rick."

Rick smiled and told her, "Wait until the sun goes down. It's even more beautiful. Just wait until the firework show. We can see it from the rooms. Or we can have dinner at the restaurant here. Either way, the view can't be beat."

She smiled softly at him, "You really have thought of everything. Haven't you?"

Shrugging, Rick smiled, "It's nothing really."

Watching Samantha and Noah run from room to room, Kate shook her head at how happy her children were. It wasn't nothing. At least not to her. Seeing her children happy for the first time in months meant the world to her. She placed a soft kiss on his lips and told him softly, "It means the world to me Rick."

Rick blushed softly and took her hand and kissed her back. Then, he asked, "Do you want to get dinner? We can go to Downtown Disney or we can eat at the Restaurant here in the hotel. Your choice."

Kate thought about it for a moment and asked, "How about we eat here. Then we can take a walk on the beach after."

Nodding, Rick smiled and clapped his hands. Everyone stopped to look at him and he announced, "Dinnertime!"

The kids cheered and filed out of the room. Jim and Martha followed close behind them. Johanna and Kate brought up the rear. Kate could tell that her mother had something on her mind. She pulled her mother to the side and asked, "Okay mom. What's wrong?"

Johanna shook her head, "Nothing..."

"Mom..."

"Okay, this is all very nice, but it must be costing him a small fortune. I can't help but wonder why he's doing all of this. I can understand doing it for you and the kids, but for me and your father. It's..."

Kate smiled. Her mother had never been comfortable with accepting gifts from strangers. This was no exception, but Kate smiled and told her mom, "He knows how stressful Noah's illness has been on all of us mom. We all need a break. He's just trying to help our family."

Johanna still looked skeptical, but she knew that she just needed to trust her daughter. So, when Rick handed her something that looked like a credit card, she eyed him suspiciously and asked, "What's this?"

He smiled and announced, "This is your key to all of the magic here at Disney. We use this to pay for everything here. No cash or credit cards allowed here. This my friends is your key to the kingdom."

Johanna shook her head, "This is too much Rick. I..."

Rick took Kate's mom aside and told her softly, "I want to do this Johanna. You and Jim deserve to be pampered. It's only money. I have more than I can ever spend in ten lifetimes. Go and have fun. Go with Jim and have a spa day. Treat yourself to something that you never would in the real world. This week is all about having the time of your life. You are the grandmother of my son and it's the least I can do Johanna."

Johanna still looked skeptical, but she knew that Rick wouldn't be deterred. So, she sighed and said, "Fine. I don't have to like it, but I'll..."

That was when she saw the boats in the back of the hotel. She had always loved the freedom that boats provided. She smiled and said, "Okay...I'm done fighting you with this. I'll have fun, but I won't go overboard."

Rick kissed her cheek and said, "Thank you Johanna."

Johanna huffed and walked back to her husband. Kate saw the entire exchange and laughed softly at her mother. She intertwined her arm with Rick's and whispered, "She's never been comfortable taking money from others. Give her a day or two."

Rick nodded and leaned over to kiss her cheek. They lined up for the restaurant and were given a pager. While they were waiting, Kate and Rick took a walk on the beach. Kate took off her sandals and took Rick's hand. It was perfectly romantic and Kate whispered, "This is wonderful Rick. Perfect even."

When they rounded the next corner, she saw Cinderella's Castle lit up. It was a perfect shade of lavender. It was absolutely breathtaking. Unknown to them, Martha was watching and she grabbed her cell phone and snapped a picture of the couple. After she was done she looked at it and it was perfect. It was then that she knew where they were going to get married. Even if they didn't know it. She did. When they kissed, she took another picture and it looked like something right out of a Disney fairytale.

They were lost in one another and Martha didn't want to pull them apart, but soon their table was ready and she called Rick's cellphone. He was breathless when he answered and Martha smiled, "Our tables ready Richard."

He said nothing and hung up the phone and took Kate's hand and led her back to the hotel. She shook off the sand and put her sandals back on. She was so damn in love with this man and she had a feeling that this trip would only make those feelings grow stronger. What she didn't know was how right she really was...
