A/N; Wow I am on a roll here, chapter nine is up in less than three weeks after the last one was posted. I am so proud of myself, I am capable of posting chapters in less than four weeks in between.

My boyfriend reminded me once again why I love him, he surprised me by buying the HoH, the day it came out. A gesture he has come to regret a mere four/five hours later, do you know how hard it is to rant about something and the person you are ranting at or to, has no idea why? Or what in the world you are talking about?

I didn't mind the book, it was okay and there were parts I liked and some I hated, the only part I loved was Reyna. She is by far the best character in the whole series. What I hated was the way, RR treats the Romans, that was what pissed me off. Other than that? Not a bad book.

Well that aside, if I didn't scare you away, enjoy reading the book.

There are no spoilers in this chapter, nothing and I mean absolutely nothing I have said/written in this chapter happens in the book, I might tweak it a little in the future or I might not. None the less, you don't have to worry about any spoilers.

Although this chapter was meant to be Reyna and only Reyna, I decided against that. And added Piper in this chapter, showing you insight in her mind and feelings explaining why she acted out like that. The chapter starts with Piper, while Reyna 's POV is in the second half of the chapter.

Now than, on to the review replies.

The Inked Pen; Don't worry Piper has her reasons, all which will be revealed in this chapter and the later ones to come. I am happy to hear that you are exited and I can guarantee you, things are just getting starting.

Dee3; I love how you always manage to point everything out I put in a chapter, even things that I am planning to add later on. Honestly you scare me, but I love it.

You my friend just pointed out everything I wanted to say, in that chapter. I fully agree with you and the way you see Reyna, she is by far the most selfless person in the whole series.

I am sorry about not adding the conversation between the Greeks and Amazons, but the whole Charmspeak issue is not really resolved and will be something that will form a problem later on.

As for Jason? Oh, don't worry he won't just give up, but he has a lot of his own issues to deal with. There is no way, I am making this easy for him. And William? The Praetor, will be making an appearance soon and so will the rest of Camp Jupiter.

As for all your other questions (Very good ones) will be answered in the future chapters, once again thank you for all your reviews, I am really glad you enjoyed both chapters.

How did your college apps, go? Or are you still busy? I hope you find one you both like and is right for you.

RxR4ever; I agree with you on Reyna and her sense of justice, it was her sense of justice and her ability to see the bigger picture that allowed her to do everything she is doing.

Don't worry, I promised that I would give Camp Jupiter the respect it deserves, with most of the Fan base hating it, for no reason at all and RR is not helping us, instead of showing that CJ isn't bad, he ignores the camp and has everyone just bashing it. Including the three Romans who are supposed to defend their home.

I love CJ, the whole city full of Demigods speaks to me, and shows that Demigods can grow old and have children, while at the Greek camp it is normal for them to die before they even reach twenty.

Who is the better camp now? I promise I will address everything in the later chapters, so I hope you stick around.

Pandora; Thank you for all your reviews and yes we all love to see Jason suffer and then feel somewhat bad about, it probably a guilty pleasure many of us share.

Antiope yes, although she won't make any appearance just yet, she is underlining threat and will be mentioned and somewhat in the background until her time is right.

Livie; Thank you so very much for the kind words, I am glad that you enjoyed the chapter. I also think that Reyna's fatal flaw is the duty before all, her selflessness and sense of justice is what placed her in her current situation.

Something that have been hinting on in the last chapter, and yes...Piper has her reasons and you may decide if they are valid and justified or not.

Guest 9/30/13; I am glad you enjoyed the chapter and I agree with you about Reyna, although it wasn't kindness as much as it was just the right thing to do. So I agree with you about her fatal flaw having something to do with duty...That is what I also got from the little we saw of her in the books.

Harmony and Celeste; I wanted to thank you both for the reviews and the kind words, I hope you enjoy this chapter just as much.

To everyone else who has just read the chapter? Thank you for your support and I hope you will all enjoy this next installment.

She knew that the Amazon Queen probably hadn't deserved to be on the receiving end of her anger, it had been stupid and very dangerous of her to try and challenge the person who held the fate of their camp in her hands.

Piper knew that...But she couldn't help it.

It wasn't like Piper wanted to dislike her. It wasn't like she liked feeling like this. It was just that the Daughter of Bellona made her feel so helpless and insecure.

And she hated that.

Piper didn't hate Reyna, not personally...It was the way she made her feel, so inferior. Like no matter how hard she tried or how far she would come, she would still be unable to match the daughter of war.

That was what Piper hated about her.

Whenever Reyna was near her or even when she was just mentioned in passing, Piper couldn't help but compare herself to the dark haired warrior.

Couldn't stop the flare of jealousy and the feelings of self-doubt, Piper knew that Reyna was not better than her. Piper knew that she could do anything the Roman Demigod could do, and she could do it better if she wanted to.

Piper knew all that.

It was just all her confidence seemed to just vanish...It disappeared and made place for so many questions, questions Piper never wanted to know the answer to.

Questions like; what did people see when they looked at her? What did they think when they looked at her? That she was just another daughter of Aphrodite? That she was just a pretty face?

The Daughter of Bellona didn't need to worry about things like that.

The Roman Leader was someone who radiated so much power and confidence that one couldn't help but admire her. She was someone that demanded respect, which was something she earned very quickly.

And Piper envied that...She envied the fact, that Reyna was considered to be someone that was more than a pretty face.

Whenever someone mentioned her, no one...Not one person mentioned her looks. Despite the fact that she was a beautiful woman, Piper could not recall anyone ever mentioning how she looked like.

Even Jason...Even Jason had not once commented on her looks.

Reyna was the other Praetor. She was a Daughter of a Roman War Goddess. She was someone who would listen and would give them a chance, as long as Reyna was willing to listen-something he was certain she would do- they would be able to get the Romans to help, them.

Reyna was fair and honest. She was reliable and somewhat distant, she could be mistrustful and she was stern. Jason...Jason had never mentioned how she looked like, and Piper had never put much thought behind it.

She had been already envious of the way he was speaking of her. Like she was some sort of lifeline to his old live. Like remembering her reminded him of who he was and where he was from.

Like he needed to remember her.

It wasn't until Annabeth had asked how she looked like, that Jason had mentioned her looks. And even than he had absented to tell them she was beautiful.

All Jason had given them, was that she had black hair and dark eyes. That she was the one wearing the purple Praetor cloaks and the one who had the two metal dogs flanking her sides.

And it wasn't until Piper had laid eyes on her...Finally saw the face behind the name, that her jealousy grew and that she realized that Jason had forgotten to mention that she was beautiful.

Because that was what she was. Reyna was beautiful in the same way the night was beautiful. She possessed an alluring beauty...A dangerous beauty and Piper couldn't help but feel intimidated.

It were all those factors and the fact that it had been Reyna interrogating them, that had caused Piper to lash out like that and become so defensive.

Anyone else and Piper wouldn't have felt the need to defend herself, anyone else and Piper wouldn't have felt so angry at her own doubts and insecurities.

It was how her questions made them-her- feel like children. How she had managed to make them look like criminals and how she had refused to understand where they were coming from.

It was all that and that Reyna seemed to be once again the one who held the faith of their camp, it was the fact that if the Amazons helped it was because of Reyna.

Just like three years ago.

The brunette sighed her ever changing eyes shifting towards the dark haired woman seated at the head of the oval table.

And Just like three years ago she had done exactly as Jason had said she would, she had done what Annabeth, Percy and even Leo believed she would do...She had chosen to do the right thing and had decided to offer an helping hand to those that were in need.

One shouldn't get Piper wrong...Piper was grateful and if she had to be honest, if she had to be really honest and truthful, Piper would have admitted that she had also believed that Reyna would have helped them.

It was something Piper had come to admire in the daughter of war...It was something Piper had even come to respect, that did not mean she didn't envy Reyna's ability to do that.

Piper did.

The Daughter of Aphrodite frowned when she caught the sudden movement Reyna made, a movement that didn't go unnoticed by the redhead seated next to her.

"What? Is something wrong?" Mackenzie stopped talking when Reyna lifted her hand silencing her and everyone else in the room.

Piper watched as she closed her eyes and wondered what she was doing, her ever changing eyes shifted when she noticed that Jason tensed up next to her, but before she could ask what was wrong Reyna had already spoken up.

"There is a lot of rage, we have company."

Piper's frown deepened wondering what she meant with rage and what company, only to be distracted by the doors flying open and a dark haired woman with a look, she could only describe as distress stepped in the conference room.

"My Queen we have a problem...Porphyion has send his representative and he demands your presence."

Piper tensed when the dark haired woman mentioned the Giant King and reminded her once again, that they were on a time limit. She had forgotten all about his desire to get the favor of the Amazons, something they had wished to prevent by getting to them first.

"Demands?" Reyna asked pulling Piper's attention towards the woman seated at the head of the table. And Piper could have sworn the temperature dropped well beneath zero, when she asked her next question. "He actually demands, my presence?"

She kept her gaze fixed on Reyna as she stood up and gave her orders, her second in command would stay here and put the last details to their plan, while Reyna would go and meet the representative taking Zinah and Katherine with her.

Piper was glad to see the dark haired woman go and would have loved to see the redhead join them, the only one Piper didn't mind and actually seemed to be genuinely nice, was the blond woman who had introduced herself as Katherine.

"We understand." Zinah said standing up from her seat and moving towards the door and the dark haired woman waiting for them. "Finally some action, I was starting to get bored."

"I trust that by the time I return, we will be able to start mobilizing my forces." Reyna said facing her second in command and sending her a look, that Piper translated as 'Do as I say' or maybe 'Don't disappoint me.'

Mackenzie sighed her green eyes shifting between Piper and Jason, before they rested on Jason. It was the look in her green eyes, that made Piper wonder what she was thinking...What she was up to.

"I understand." The Second Commander said her green eyes finally shifting their gaze and facing Reyna. "Everything will be set and ready, for your final orders."

The Daughter of Bellona kept her gaze fixed on the redhead for a few more moments, before she turned around and moved towards the three woman waiting for her. "Today, is proving itself to be quite eventful."

Her comment drew a laugh from Zinah and a small smile from Katherine, both woman flanked her sides as they followed Reyna out the conference room. "I wonder-" Piper was unable to hear the rest of her sentence as the three woman, moved further down the hall.

It was only when she was worried about something, that Piper bit her lip. And right now, Piper was worried.

What? What, if Reyna decided to join forces with Porphyion? What if she lead him back here? And allowed him...No, Reyna wouldn't do that.

She has given them her word. The Daughter of Bellona promised that she would aide Camp Half-Blood and would protect it like her own.

Piper knew that Reyna was a woman of her word, if she said that she would do something...If she gave you her word, she would do it. And she would do all in her power to keep her end of the deal.

It was what Piper admired of her and also one of the many things she envied in the other woman.

She should really stop comparing herself to Reyna, the Roman leader was not better than her. Piper knew that, she should remind herself that she was just as good...If not better.

She was hardly a day in Camp Half-Blood and she had went on her first quest, she had fought monsters and had freed Hera.

Upon her return, Piper had gained more confidence and had decided to change things in her Cabin and took over as Counselor by challenging the tyrant that had been terrorizing and bullying everyone.

Piper had been one of the seven prophesied Demigods to save the world from Gaea. She had helped close the doors of death and defeated the Earth Goddess.

So, Piper was not weak...She was far from weak. She wasn't like her half sisters, in Cabin ten. She was strong and she could do everything Reyna could do, Reyna was not better than her.

She was Piper Mclean a Hero of Olympus and that was something, Piper was more than just a daughter of Aphrodite.

Repeating those words helped and Piper managed to push her insecurities to the back of her mind and forced herself to focus on what was important.

Camp Half-Blood.

Porphyion trying to gain her favor in this war, wasn't what surprised Reyna. No, she had known that he would eventually seek her out and would try to get to her before the Greeks or Romans did.

Just like she had known that out of the two camps, it would be the Greeks who would approach her first. Unlike their Roman counterpart, the Greeks were barely holding their ground and were experiencing more trouble than they could handle.

What she hadn't accounted for was the fact that they would both approach her on the same day. It was odd, especially if you took in account that Porphyion has been watching both camps.

It was because he had been keeping close tabs on both coasts that had allowed him, to anticipate the Greeks next move. He knew that Camp Half-Blood would try to seek help from the Amazons if the Romans refused to aide them.

And the Roman wouldn't be able to aide them, Porphyion made sure of that. He went out of his way and attacked both coasts simultaneously.

So why? Why, did he decide to approach her on the same day, as the Greeks? Wouldn't it have made more sense to seek her out, before the two camps?

Not that it would have mattered. Porphyion seeking her out earlier than today would have been near impossible, she hadn't been on their main Campus in the last four weeks.

That he came today made refusing him easier, Reyna had never been planning to join him. She would have refused his offer, whether the Greeks had gained her favor or not.

Reyna had no desire joining a cause that was filled with nothing but vengeance and hate, because that was what it was.

Vengeance.

Revenge was what was pushing Porphyion and his siblings forth, they wished to avenge their older siblings -The Titans- by destroying the gods.

Just like their mother and the King of Titans, the Gigantes were all driven by nothing more than hate and vengeance.

When you seek vengeance prepare two graves. It was something her father had once said, she had never understood what he meant with that.

But as she grew older and was exposed to the harsh world and had went through hell and back, Reyna had finally understood what her father had meant.

Killing Blackbeard had made her realize what those word exactly meant. Yes, she had killed the man who had -nearly- destroyed her home, the man who killed and hurt almost everyone she knew. She had killed the man who had been the object of her nightmares, the embodiment of her fear.

She had killed him in cold blood and she hadn't felt any form of satisfaction. She had felt cold, hollow and as if a part of her had just died.

And that was exactly what happened. Two people had died that day, Blackbeard and Reyna herself. The child in her and the innocence, that part of her that still believed in dreams and miracles.

She became the one thing that Hylla had wanted to prevent. She became cold, distant and mistrustful. She became the type of person that did not believe in hope.

Hope, did not exist.

You could hope, that things would get better. You could hope, that you would be finally free. You could hope for someone to return but they never did and they never would.

You could always do the right thing, you could always be the one that thought about everyone else and in the end you would realize that it was all for nothing.

Reyna knew the feeling. She knew the feeling of hopelessness, of feeling utter loss and knowing that no matter how much you wished, how much you dreamed...You would be left alone in the dark.

Alone and cold.

They always said do the right thing and good things happen to you. Well that was a big fat lie, nothing good happened to those that did the right thing.

"You always do the right thing, and what good did do us?"

It scared Reyna how much those words hit home, how much those words made her think...Made her believe them.

It made her wonder why she was feeling like this, where those feelings came from and what it was that was feeding them.

Why those words were so similar to the words she had uttered in her dreams, why they were so alike and yet sounded so different from each other.

With the former, Reyna seemed to have accepted the fact, that she had decided it to be the truth. That it didn't matter how selfless and how hard she tried to do the right thing.

In the end...In the end, it would be her that would suffer. She would be the one in pain, she would be the one left behind...Left to venture on her own.

The words she had said in her dreams, the words that had caused her to feel so scared and lost. The words that had forced her to cut her visit to Themyscira short.

Those words were different...Different in the sense, that those words were desperate. It was realization...It was the state one would be in when they realized that live was unfair...It was the cross road between accepting or breaking down.

"I must always think of everyone else, place their needs before my own. Why is it that everyone else can be selfish but that I have to think of the world? How...Tell me how is that fair?"

It wasn't...It was unfair.

But then again her live hadn't been fair since her father had died, her live had been an emotional rollercoaster, one train wreck after another.

She had learned that whenever she felt safe, whenever there was something she wanted...It would be either destroyed or taken away. If there was even one thing she liked, it would end up disappearing.

It was why Reyna had taught herself to never want things, to never wish or even desire for something.

It was why she made sure not to believe nor rely on anyone...It was something she had refused to do, relying on someone...Putting your faith in someone other than yourself and actually believing that someone would be always there for you, was an empty believe.

"I have learned that in the end we are alone...It is something one needs to grasp if you wish to survive. Relying on someone to save or help you, is a waste of time and can get you even killed."

People were alone...No matter what they said, no matter what the claimed. People were born alone and they died alone...It was the way things were and you were better off knowing that, better off being aware of that fact.

And Reyna was...She was aware of that fact, it was something she hadaccepted as the truth. It was something she believed in, it was something she had learned...Something life had shown her over and over again.

"I learned that waiting for someone to take care of you, to put faith in another will only end up in disappointment."

Disappointment.

It did...It was a horrible feeling. It was something she did not wish to experience ever again. That realization that all your hopes, dreams and wishes were futile and that you had to watch and accept the fact that your whole world was crumbling down around you.

She did not want to experience disappointment like that ever again, so Reyna relied on no one but herself.

She did not count anyone to save her...No one to protect her, no one to take things out of her hands.

Reyna relied on herself...On her own abilities, her own intelligence and her own instincts. She knew her limits and she know her own potential, if she relied on herself...If she didn't believe in anyone but herself, Reyna would not end up being disappointed.

"Your Highness?" The concerned voice broke through her train of thoughts and pulled Reyna's attention to the blond woman walking next to her. "Are you alright? You spaced out for a minute."

"I was merely lost in thought, there is nothing to worry about." Reyna said shifting her dark eyes towards the black stone staircase leading down to the main Lobby. "Now shall we see, the one who demands my presence?"

"I hope that they will cause a scene, I am itching for a battle." Zinah said following the shorter woman down the stone staircase. "I am in need of a good kill."

...

...

The Daughter of Bellona decided to ignore her friend's comment and focus on the two seated Demigods on the couch. The man looked to be in his mid twenties, while the girl couldn't be a year older than fourteen or fifteen.

"To what owe I this honor?" Reyna asked as she took the last step down the stairs and drew the attention of the two Demigods and the three Amazons who had been guarding them.

It was the man that stood up giving her a nod in greeting. "It as an honor to finally meet you, the rumors about you truly don't do you justice."

"You should not believe everything you hear." She said knowing he was referring to her abilities and the reputation she had build, as opposed to her looks. "That aside, it seems you know who I am." Reyna replied fixing her piercing gaze on the tall brunette. "I find it only fair to know, who it is that is standing before me and on whose behalf you are here."

The brunette smirked as if that was exactly what he had expected from her, his brown eyes took his time taking her in before he replied to her question. "Travis Mathews and General of Porphyion's armies."

Reyna shifted her gaze towards the blond girl who stood up and introduced herself as Lucy Argent. The two Demigods seemed to be quite at ease for two people who could be easily killed and were currently on enemy territory.

"So why is someone as highly placed as a general send here?" Reyna asked her dark eyes shifting their gaze towards Katherine who took a step closer her blue eyes darting between the two Demigods. "He could have send, someone else right?"

"He could have done that, but that would have been un-respectful to someone of your status." Travis replied his gaze shifting towards his right and spotting the few more Amazons who had decided to come and see who it was that was trying their luck this time.

Reyna raised an eyebrow wondering if he truly believed that complimenting her would actually get her favor. "I am flattered to hear that he considers my feelings in this, so what is that the King of Giants wants from the Amazon Kingdom?"

"We are here, to give you proposition."

Reyna's eyes landed on Lucy who was looking at her with a look she recognized, it was the same look she had in her eyes, when she had decided to kill Blackbeard.

A desire for vengeance.

"A proposition?" Zinah asked who had taken place on the steps and drew the attention of the male Demigod. "What kind of proposition? To support the Giant King?"

The young girl nodded her brown eyes were filled with nothing but anger and hate. "If you were willing to join our cause. If you would be willing to assist us in finally dethroning the Gods and teaching them a lesson, hit them were it hurts."

They had hurt her...They had probably abandoned her. That was always the reason why Demigods would join the opposing army and try to dethrone the Gods.

It was sad. Because, Reyna could see how easily, things like this could be prevented. All the Gods had to do, was show them that they were there. Show them that they were loved, it wasn't like they asked them to be here 24/7. All they wanted was proof that their birth meant something.

It was anger and fear.

It was the feeling of being abandoned and the fact that they only visited when they needed you to fix their problems.

It has always been like this and they would never change. Hence the reason why there would be always Demigods, who were tempted by the future the Titans and in this case the Giant King promised.

"Dethrone the Gods? That is quite an ambitious idea." Reyna said her dark eyes narrowing when the man moved taking a step towards her. "Tell me, what makes you so sure that you will succeed where both the Earth Goddess and Saturn failed?"

The brown haired man's eyes narrowed before a dark smirk appeared on his face. "That is something we will share with you, after we hear your decision."

"I see. Though that won't be necessary, as I nor the Amazon Kingdom have any desire supporting Porphyion and his cause."

The blond girl jumped up her brown eyes flaring up with so much fire, that Reyna was nearly impressed by the passion she held. "Are you telling me that you are okay with the way they run things? Are you really alright with the fact, that they make all these rules and will break it whenever it suits them? Are you alright with the fact, that they are petty and have the habit to kill those that even show to be slightly better than them in something?"

"That is beside the point."

She narrowed her eyes her features twisting in anger and making Reyna feel sorry for her, she was so young and she was going down a path, Reyna had nearly walked herself.

"Beside the point? Beside the point? No, that is the whole point, do you know what the Gods problem is?" She asked her brown eyes which were fixed on Reyna showed all the anger and pent up feelings she held.

"Yes, but I assume you are still going to tell me, are you not?" Reyna replied meeting her anger filled gaze. "I am listening."

She clenched her fist and seemed to be withholding all the rage she felt. "Their problem is that they believe that they can do whatever they wish and if something goes wrong, we will be the ones to clean the mess. They are selfish and pretend to be better than humans, but they are worse...Humans at least know that with actions come consequences. Thousands of years and they are still making the same stupid mistakes."

"And you believe by joining forces with the Giants you will be able to fix all this?" Reyna asked the younger girl. "You believe, that Porphyion can create a better world? A world, where we Demigods are treated better?"

"He can create a better world, yes. Where we don't have to endure their treatment and not have to constantly proof ourselves, where they won't plainly tell us who their favorites are...A world where we are not their servants."

"Is that what your Godly parent did?" Reyna asked her obsidian eyes not faltering under the poisoned look. "Did they treat you, like you weren't worth something?"

She smirked her brown eyes filling with a desire for revenge. "And I will make him pay for that, I will take pleasure in showing that man just what I am made off."

It were times like this that Reyna was glad that her mother had at least showed her that she was loved, Bellona was not the kindest and most doting mother there was.

She was after all the Goddess of War, destruction and devastation. Not the best aspects one would want in a parent, Bellona could be very demanding she expected the best of her children and did not tolerate weakness in any shape or form.

But she did care for her children and hated to see them hurt, it was why she had showed them the safest route to Circe Island and why she had send them weapons to defend themselves against the Pirates.

But the biggest proof of the love she held for her children was when she had showed up at her bedside, her mother had been the first face she had seen when she had awoken from her three months coma.

It was the first time Reyna had ever seen something other than apathy or anger in her eyes, for the first time her mother showed both sadness and love in her eyes.

It had been the first and only time her mother told her she was proud of her, had said that she was honored to call her daughter.

"I can see where you are coming from, but I still stand by what I say." Reyna said her dark eyes shifting towards the brown haired male. "I have no desire joining forces with your army, you make sure to tell him exactly that."

"You wish to make him an enemy?" The young man asked taking another step towards her but stopping when the surrounding Amazons lifted their weapons in warning. "That is your final decision? Fine, know that you have doomed your people and that we will take pleasure in wiping your forces of the face of the planet."

"Quite confident you are. Very well then." Reyna replied a smirk appearing on her face, her dark eyes icing over. "I will warn you though, do not underestimate my warriors. We will crush everything on our path and we will send your master back to the depths of Tartarus."

"I like to see you try." Travis replied turning around and gesturing for the blond girl to follow him. "I will enjoy taking your head as a my prize."

"Can't say I feel the same, your head is not worth a dime." Reyna returned hitting the older man were it hurt, he was by far the most arrogant person she had meant. "But I will enjoy kicking you off that pedestal you have made your home."

Lucy turned around her eyes asking her to reconsider she looked disappointed at Reyna's firm shake of her head. "Then I will see you on the battle field."

Reyna smirked her dark eyes showing a little respect for the young girl. "I will be looking forward to that, make sure you will give it you all. You will not survive this war if you don't."

"You don't need to worry about that, I stand for what I believe in." The blond girl said before she stepped through the glass doors following her companion and back to her respective side in this war.

Reyna sighed wondering just how many like that girl had joined the Giants cause, only because they were neglected by their parents.

"You like her?" Zinah asked her brown eyes shifting their gaze from the glass doors towards Reyna. "You are going easy on her?"

"That is un-respectful not saying insulting to the both of us." Reyna said her eyes still fixed on the doors Lucy disappeared through. "I respect her and because I respect her, I will go all out when I encounter her."

Zinah smirked knowing that she would be finally able to have some fun around here. "So sharpen security? Double the patrols and everyone needs to be armed at all times?"

"That would be the best course of action yes, but you don't need to concern yourself with that." Reyna replied moving towards the staircase and indicated for Katherine and Zinah to follow her. "The rest of you do as Zinah suggested and send word out to our sisters, we are at war."

The Amazons present bowed indicating that they understood the order and immediately set out to do as the young Queen ordered.

Reyna climbed the staircase as she made her way back towards the conference room, her mind was already working through the various case scenarios as she needed to carefully construct a battle plan.

One that would enable the remaining Amazons to defend their campus without noticing the decline in numbers, Reyna was not worried...She had only agreed to aid the Greeks because she knew she would be able to protect her own people at the same time.

"There is no use in protecting something else, if you fail to protect those that are close to you."

It was a policy Reyna followed and made sure that everyone around her remembered, one can't begin to think about protecting others if they are incapable of protecting themselves and all they hold dear.

The Amazon Queen sighed a soft smile gracing her features. "Well than...Shall we once again proof to the world why we Amazons are second to none? Why we are called the strongest warrior race?" Reyna asked knowing that her friends would follow her no matter what it was she decided to do.

"And what better way to proof it, than protecting those Greeks and defeating the Giant's army at the same time?" Zinah said her lips lifting a challenging smirk, her brown eyes filled with an thirst for battle. "Lead the way my Queen, we will follow you and be your swords and shields...We will siege and we will conquer...We shall win, because that is what and who we are."

Katherine's blue eyes softened as a gentle smile graced her features. "Who am I to deny such a conviction? We will make that Demigod regret for underestimating us."

The Daughter of Bellona closed her eyes once again thanking both her parents for finally finding some sense of belonging...This time...This time she would make sure, that no one would take this away from her.

Maybe just maybe she had finally gotten her wish...A wish that had always been in the back of her mind, one that she had never been able to fully suppress. Maybe...Just maybe she would be finally able to fully let her guard down and trust her friends without worrying about her deep rooted fears.

"I always look out for everyone else...So, who looks out for me? Why isn't there anyone who looks out for me?"

There was a small part of her that hoped...That believed that she had finally found someone that would look out for her...Her three friends made her wish that for once she would be proven wrong and that it was okay to be selfish for just once.

"You will always have my back? I wonder how long it will take for you to realize that you won't be able to keep that promise, when you will be like everyone else and prove to me that I was right."

Just for once...Just for once, Reyna wished that she would not end up being disappointed. Was it really too much to ask, for someone to carry the burdens with her?

A/N; Is it me or are my chapters getting longer and longer? LOL if the length of the chapters are making it hard to read or if you may feel like I am pressing to many things in one chapter, please do tell me.

I will make sure to cut the chapters short and not add to many things, also I am a very detailed person and I personally like describing every thought and feeling, and not leave you all guessing but if you find the details are interfering with the flow of the story.

Don't hesitate to tell me, I am always open for Feedback and any tips or ideas that might make it more enjoyable for everyone to read.

I also hope I managed to keep Piper in character and managed to explain why she was acting like she did and what her motives are.

If you feel like Reyna is OOC, I will have to ask you to just bear it for a few more chapters. She is still dealing with her memory loss and a lot of angst, she still needs to find out who and what she is.

The next chapter will probably take a little longer, as I am currently packed with work and won't be able to breath for another four weeks, or so.

That all aside I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, and I am excited to hear what you all think. Oh, has anyone read HOH? And what did you all think?
