_Fionna's P.O.V
Fionna looked up at Marshall guiltily, but Marshall was still staring into the distance with a disgusted look on his face. Marshall mumbled something and Fionna looked up at him confused. "What? I couldn't hear you." She said looking into his distracted eyes.
"Gumball is such a hypocrite sometimes." Marshall said and with a groan he stood up and waited for Fionna to do the same. When she did he quickly folded the quilt up before putting it back where he had seen her grab it.
Fionna watched him do this confused. "What do you mean?" She asked. Marshall looked mad more than anything. He didn't respond to her. "Come on Mar, you know that you can tell me anything, right?" She said.
Marshall made a frustrated sound that sounded more like a growl than anything. "Fionna, just leave it alone, okay? I don't want you to get hurt. Trust me, I'm protecting you here." He said beginning to stalk off. Fionna quickly followed him and when she caught up to him, she quickly grabbed his arm, know that she definitely wasn't strong enough to stop him, but it would at least get his attention.
` He stopped and gave her a look that made her forget everything she was about to say. She gave a quiet humph and let him lead the way out of the trees.
I sat at my desk doing paperwork when I heard Alice's stilettos as she walked in and sat in front of me on the other side of the desk. I gave a soft chuckle as I set down my pen and looked up at her sprawled along the plush chair in front of me. "I take it things went well with our dear Prince last night?" I asked.
Alice smirked. She really was beautiful. Her ivory skin, the long black hair that flowed down to her waist. Her curves, the dimples that accented her smile perfectly, I was surprised that the Prince hadn't confessed his love to her yet. "Why of course Dr. Torrin." She said laughing at my made up name. It was a melodic echo that filled the room. I chuckled with her.
"What, is there a problem with my name?" I asked thinking through the selection process of the name. It had taken me a week to come up with a name that wouldn't seem to suspicious.
"Of course not, my dear brother." She said trying to hide the sarcasm in her voice. I rolled my eyes.
"I think it suits me just fine, thank you very much. I'm thinking of keeping it actually."
"Let's not forget out roots brother. Or should I say-."Alice stopped when she saw the look I was giving her. "Whatever you say Alice. But I have work to do. Go back to the Prince's chambers. I suspect he's found Marshall and Fionna by now and is going to need some friendly company when he gets back."
Alice gave me an annoyed look. "As you wish." She said with an annoyed flick of her hand as she stood up and walked out. The sound of her heels on gobstopper floors echoed down the hall. I sighed and began the tedious task of finishing all the paperwork that the previous doctors had neglected to fill out.
Gumball's P.O.V.
Gumball stalked down the hall angry as he made his way to his room. He couldn't believe that Marshall had gotten the jump on him like that. Actually, he could believe he had. He was surprised he hadn't done it sooner. Honestly sometimes he just wanted to strangle Marshall, the way he acted. I mean, first, he had the nerve to yell at him- the prince- for doing what any guy would do with the same opportunity he had with that hot girl. Second, he goes ahead and steals away his only opportunity of long term happiness from him. He could believe he was such a….. such a… well, he couldn't think of a word bad enough. But he was cross.
Gumball gave a frustrated sigh and opened the giant candy doors that lead to his room. He was surprised to see Alice-that was her name, right?- still sitting on his bed. He smiled big knowing he could use a little cheering up at the moment.
"Mistress…" he said smirking using that name because he wasn't quite exactly sure if Alice was her name. He couldn't remember. Then he thought of a way to figure out what it was. She sat up smiling big.
"I'm curious dear, how do you spell your name?" He asked hoping it wouldn't be something obvious like Lily.
She looked confused for a second. Oh crap, it must be remotely easy to figure out. "A-L-I-C-E," She spelled while got up and made her way over to him. She pressed her body against him, they had somehow made it against the pink walls. "Was that too hard? I thought you were supposed to be a genius." She said seductively raising and eyebrow and Gumball forgot whatever comeback he had made up. He smirked leaning in to kiss her but she stopped him short quickly.
"Did you do what I asked Princey?" She asked. He thought back. Oh, tell Marshall what they had done? It had been a strange request but he promised he would without thinking, and he was a man of his word. He couldn't nod fast enough before he was kissing her neck and inhaling her sweet sugary scent that made him forget everything.
Later that Night
Fionna's P.O.V
Fionna walked through the front door of the treehouse, ducking under Marshall's arm that held the door open. She gave him a halfhearted smile as she began to climb up the ladder to the room she shared with Cake. "I just need to grab a few things." She hurried up then. She grabbed a bag and began to tear through her drawers looking for something that might impress Marshall. She frowned looking at all her clothes that were either too big or too small for her.
She sighed and grabbed a flannel shirt that was about three sizes too big and a pair of black spandex that she had been bought a while ago, but she never wore. She also slipped another bra and pair of underwear into the bag. Then she ran to the bathroom and quickly brushed her teeth before slipping the toothbrush and toothpaste into her bag.
Her eyes swept over the bathroom looking to see if she had missed anything. She frowned once she saw the small black tube of mascara Cake had bought her for her birthday. She picked it up, eying it. She sighed and slipped it in her bag. Just in case. She thought knowing she would probably forget about it soon anyway.
She then hurried back down the ladder, looking over her shoulder. "I'm rea-" She stopped when she saw Dr. Torrin standing there with Marshall. The doctor's face looked dark and threatening and Marshall looked scared. Fionna hurried to Marshall's side looking at the two of them scared. "…Marshall?"
Fionna asked concerned. Marshall put a hand on the small of her back protectively. "Let's go Fi. Dr. Torrin has work to do." Marshall chose his words carefully as he ushered her out of the door. Fionna let him push her along, knowing that whatever he was doing was best for her.
He didn't speak for a long time after that as they walked to his house. By the time they were inside Fionna had forgotten about whatever had been going on and Marshall was totally cooled off.
"What do you want to do Fi?" Marshall asked floating above the couch leaving her alone of the floor.
"I don't know. I'm kind of tired. I was thinking maybe I could change and then we could watch a movie or something?" She asked hopefully. Marshall gave her a reassuring smile.
"That's a great idea Fi," he said. "You know where the bathroom is." He said pointing in the direction she was already going in.
Fionna hurried in and quickly slipped into the clothes she had prepared for herself. She felt like she was showing too much leg, but sighed, knowing that there was nothing she could do about it now.
As she walked out she could smell the faint scent of popcorn throughout the house. "Marshall?" She asked heading towards the kitchen. He was facing the microwave when she walked in. "I didn't know you ate popcorn." She said as he turned around. He smirked, he still hadn't looked at her. "I don't, but you do." That was when he looked up at her, and his eyes practically bugged out of his head.
"Woah…" He said, and Fionna blushed deeply.
Sorry to end it there. More to come soon. I promise. Give me like a day or two. It's really late and I'm sure nothing I'm saying is making sense. Yes, 10:30 is late for me. I'm practically a 3 year old when it comes to my sleep timer. I've already taken 2 naps today. Anyway! Please tell me if you liked it or not! I really, really like to read reviews. Thanks!
