Um… Hi? OH SPINJITZU PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME! Easy now, just, put the gun down. I know I've been a jerk for not updating for this long, and I am super sorry, but you can't get any more chapters if I'm dead, 'cause I can't type them. Truce? Plez? OK.
Reviews-
Zaneloverfan88- Thanks! She does know that Skylor's the master of Amber, but she doesn't know that she's Master Chen's daughter. Hope that clears it up!
Goldmedalninja- Aw, thanks! Dang it, I must be getting bad at description if I left that out lol. Her uniform colour is grey
MisstressofAwesomeness- Actually, I was thinking of doing a sort of oneshot…flashback…thingy. I think I'll do that if I stop being lazy.
Hannahchickenbutt15- Thanks, I was in a bit of a cliché sort of mood, that's why I put it. Either that or I had too much sugar and went mental but, oh well! Hakunah Matata right?
MMM-…. I'm sorry, that would spoil the story. If there was a way to tell you without spoiling it, I would.
Snakescreamer- Aw thanks! No biggy, I haven't updated in months, so that's a coin in the Blonde jar for me!
Thank you guys so much for being patient, it's Summer now so I will (hopefully) update a bit more often, love you guys! If you need to grab something, grab it now, 'cause I'm planning to make this one long!
Disclaimer: I do not own Lego or any of its products. I only own my OC and some of the plot.
Kara's POV
The song finished as the ship finally left the harbour. It did calm me down, but I think the calming…ness… was mainly down to the fact that I didn't feel threatened anymore.
We all looked at each other and nodded, before wandering off to explore the ship. I leaned against the railing and watched a guy with mahoosive metal mittens beat up a punching bag.
I wonder…
"Um… Kara?"
"GAH! WHAT THE NUGGETS?!"
I jump in shock, and turn around to see…
Cole.
I try to hide my blush, my messy hair, my hurt, my nerves- WOAH! Where'd that come from?! I want to slap myself silly as he starts to speak.
"Can we, you know, talk? Without you, uh, blowing up?"
"Blowing up? Is that an element joke I hear?"
I sigh and lean back against the railing, resting my elbows on top of it.
"Fine."
He leans against the railings beside me, and takes a small breath.
"I know what I did you don't forgive me for, and you have every right not to. I don't forgive myself actually. But, for Zane… and for… what we had… can we try to be friends?
It takes time to process. I stay in silence for that time. I hear him sigh as he gets up from his position, and panicking, I put my hand on his shoulder to stop him. He turns round, and I smiles slightly.
Don't do it.
He'll hurt you.
He hasn't changed!
That's exactly why I forgive him.
"OK."
He beams, and offers me his hand in a fist bump. I smirk, and just as our fists touch, I pull the snail on him.
"Snail!"
"Really?"
We laugh, before walking back to the centre of the ship. Skylor catches my eye, and she winks suggestively at me. I make a 'Your dead' gesture with a grin, before I continue walking. As we all meet up, Garmadon.2 pipes up to his predecessor.
"You know him, you said his name was… Clouse?
"So he's basically a giant louse with a C?"
Lloyd elbows me as his father speaks.
"Don't be fooled by his attire, he is a master of dark arts, and Mater Chen's number two!"
Cole grins.
"Heh, I thought Master Chen's number two was an egg role and fried rice."
I guffaw as Garmadon glares at us.
"Why haven't you or Wu ever told us there were others with powers like us?"
I widen my eyes and gulp.
Uh Oh.
Sensei G glances at me, before snapping.
"Because there are some things we don't want you to know! You were led to believe you were special, Yet you never questioned where your powers came from."
"Uh, are you implying that I'm not special?"
Jay looks down heartened, as Kai pats his back sympathetically.
So… All this time I really was just the goofball who sits at the back and no one realises is even there? Ouch. Poor Jay, he wanted to believe he was special so badly. But I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Garmadon continues his choo-choo train of mysterious depression.
"Everyone on this ship is a descendant of an original Elemental master."
"Elemental master? Who are they?"
"They were the First spinjitzu masters guardians, each endowed with an elemental power that has been passed down through generations!"
"If that's true… Then… So is my sister Nya. But she can't do what I can!"
"Can't she?"
He turns to face us all mysterious and wise. All hail the mighty Garmadon! We're not worthy of your awesome knowledge! Hoping that you picked up on the sarcasm there.
"Power lies is all of you, it only needs to be awoken."
He turns away again.
I mutter quietly to the fellas.
"He needs to pick a position already; I don't even care if it's twerking! Actually I do, that's a nasty image I have been scarred with, but seriously! Stay freaking still man!"
He carries on oblivious.
"The fighters here serve no master; they have unlocked their own true potential. For instance,"
He gestures over to a man leaning against the in a red suit, gold chain, gold sunglasses and white west hat. Apart from that, he's… invisible? Whaaaat?
"That pale man-"
I snicker.
"You make him sound like a vampire."
Lloyd hits me upside the head.
"Ow!"
"That pale man; a distant relative to the master of light. Watch closely,"
We collectively gasp as he disappears. Thank you, cliché.
"And you'll see how he's stayed hidden all these years."
I stand in a Karate position expecting the invisible guy to attack me. I have a weird mind, Ok? Suddenly someone zips past me seriously fast and knocks me onto the creaky floor.
"Jerk!"
I get up and dust myself off.
"Then there's Griffin Turner, grandson to the master of speed."
During his intro, Griffin does several Kung Fu moves and wiggles his eyebrows suggestively at me. I feel my face heat up angrily. I start towards him.
"You arrogant little-"
Cole yanks me back and shakes his head, though I can see he and the others are glaring at him too.
"Hey!"
Griffin speeds over and taps my nose.
"You can't lay a hand on me!"
He makes his getaway, performing some anti-gravity running.
"I'm faster than fast!"
He stops on the corner of the roof.
"Swifter than swift!"
By this time we're wondering along two floors below him, but thanks to the open…ness, we can still see him. I narrow my eyes.
"How's this for fast?"
Ever heard the expression fast as the wind? Well, then you got a good idea what I'm talking about. I arrive hovering in front of a slightly shocked Griffin, before I blow gently in his face and he falls onto his butt. I float back down to the guys, and slap my hands together as though wiping something off. Jay glares up at Griffin.
"Master of speed? Pfft, that's not an element!"
Garmadon walks past superiorly, his hand mock talking.
"So asks the Master of 'Lightning'?
Cole follows suite, snapping his fingers.
"Oh snap, he got ya there!
I roll my eyes.
"No he didn't. Lighting is a mass embodiment of static electricity, which actually exists, whereas speed is an IDEA of distance divided by time… Wow that was nerdy!"
I grin sheepishly as Garmadon glares daggers at me.
We all chill at the back end of the ship, I myself lean against the railing away from the others with Skylor, who glances at me sideways and grins. I hear Kai ask:
"And, uh, who's she?"
He motions to Skylor. I see shock fly across their faces when they see me with her, but I just shrug and she grins gratefully at me. Garmadon cleared his throat.
"I don't know. Most of these people I have never seen. But they will all be gunning for you."
I walk back over to the guys, only when I turn around do I see Skylor getting harassed by the guy with the mittens. I growl and reach for my crossbow, before I remember I didn't bring it.
"You are ninja! You serve with honour! Here,"
He glances over at Skylor.
"That means very little."
Kai gets up and starts to walk over. I join him.
"Well maybe honour means something to me."
I elbow him.
"Fine. Something to US."
As we reach the brute, Skylor turns to face us.
"It's OK. I can handle myself."
I know she can. But she's never met another elemental apart from me. The gorilla speaks in a deep voice, thick with an accent.
"It none of their business. Karloff cold! Karloff just want her coat!"
I narrow my eyes to slits. Kai starts trash talking.
"It looks like you've got big enough mittens. Why not leave the gal alone?"
Skylor gasps, and turns away. This is gonna be harder than I thought. Karloff seems to swell with anger. He shakes his massive metal fist at us.
"These. Not. Mittens! These crush ninja!"
I pushed the Mitten out of our faces.
"Huh? Then I'd like to see you try!"
"Save it for the tournament!"
We look over and see Sensei G shaking his head, and the others doing so as well. I feel a storm rising in my chest, and know I have to do this. Karloff rises right up to Kai, knocking him back slightly.
"Don't think Karloff afraid of you!"
I roll my eyes to annoy him.
"No, you don't think much at all do you?"
That was a mistake I guess. Karloff lifts Kai up by the collar, and pins me down by the throat. I kick him hard in the- well, never mind, and regret it. It was like kicking a solid lump of steel. Uh oh. I think I know what this guy's element is. We are so screwed.
Kai yelps.
"Just, jump in whenever you feel like it!"
Karloff holds Kai up to his face.
"You say Karloff not smart?"
I feel faint from this guy blocking off my oxygen, before I command air to fill my lungs, and I instantly feel better. Thank you, elemental power!
"I'd say Karloff is pretty smart not to start something he can't finish."
Thank FSM. I manage to look over and see the others on their feet, Lloyd in front. Cole catches my eye and looks at me worriedly. No clue why he's doing that. Maybe it's because I'm turning purple, who knows?
Suddenly, he punches Kai to the other end of the ship, and catapults me high into the air. Moron, why would he put me in my element?
"Whoopsie! Guess Karloff NOT smart."
I hover in the air, and yell down.
"No kidding, brainless!"
He ignores me. Typical. I watch the others rush forward to help, only to be stopped by Sensei G.
"Kai and Kara started this! They can finish this."
Thanks Sensei. Thanks. I start to float down as stealthily as I can, before I see kai groan and rub his head, before getting up. He and Karloff have the traditional macho long distance glare-off, before Kai yells.
"Fire!"
(AN: prepare yourself for a long paragraph, because I'm too lazy to figure out where to put spaces!)
He sets his fists on fire and launches fireballs at the big metal nutjob… who of course just stops them with his hands, before turning his whole body metal. I swoop in and kick him in the face, before pushing him back with the wind. He rubs his cheek momentarily and I fly back to stand beside Kai. Then he charges. We use our awesomesauce ninjaness gymnastic…stuff to dodge his furious fists, before he smacks Kai against the wall with a thud, and I feel something connect with the back of my skull. I fall to the floor, only to shoot upwards and perform a roundhouse kick. Karloff then knocks us both up and away towards the back of the ship again. I see the others peering out from behind a wall, watching horrified as we fly through the air towards our probable death by propeller.
Fly.
That's it! I catch Kai by the hand and slow our fall. It's still painful as we crash onto and roll across the roof of the lower level. I roll a little more, and Karloff lands in that spot a second after I leave it. Talk about close calls! Kai and Karloff then restart their fist fight, and Kai almost falls off the edge. He glances back as I struggle up. He makes a 'come at me bro!' fighting stance, and ducks as Karloff flies past him. I add a bit to Karloff's momentum as good measure. We smirk and high five as we walk away from the edge. Of course, Karloff just has to grab Kai's ankle and pull him down, in turn, Kai grabs mine and pulls me down as well. Thanks Kai. We land only to start another brawl with Karloff, in which I sit on his shoulders and pummel his head so he's dizzy, and Kai kicks and punches. I flip Karloff into the air and jump off as Kai knocks him back so hard he hits the railing. Kai sets his fists on fire again and I form mini tornados in my hands. I hear gasps above us and look up, raising an eyebrow. The guys grin encouragingly at me, and I give them a wink, and yes, I'll admit, mainly at Cole. I stand lightly on Kai shoulders before I launch myself at Karloff, and Kai jumps after me, as we knock him onto the back propeller. We punch him a little more, which he returns, before Kai gets knocked into the air. Darn. I slow Kai's fall as much as I can so he gets more hits on him before I join him by kicking Karloff repeatedly in the back. Kai lands with a thud on the deck, and Karloff saunters over to him, barely out of breath.
Breath.
As Karloff raises his fist to smash Kai's head, I land on deck behind him, fasten my hand round his neck and command the air in his lungs to expel itself. Karloff begins to choke.
"ENOUGH!"
I stop and let go from shock at hearing Clouse yell. Karloff gasps for breath and backs off. I hiss at him through my teeth.
"Never mess with an elemental who can decide when you stop breathing, idiot."
He scarpers. I look round to see Skylor helping Kai up.
"I'm sorry if I was… cold… to you earlier."
As she helps him up, I see a faint orange glow pass from Kai to her. When she first shook my hand, the same thing happened to me, but it was, well, grey-white. Kai rubs the back of his head and turns almost as red as his suit. Skylor suddenly looks frightened and pulls her hood further up and walks past me to get away. I whisper in her ear as she passes.
"I SO ship Skailor."
She elbows me discreetly, before joining the crowd of gathering elementals. I hear the haughty tones of Clouse and the guys gather round us and shuffle us towards to railings.
"We're here. Welcome, to Chen's island!"
A lamenting foghorn sounds. He motions to the said landmass rising out of the mist and steps back, hurrying away for some reason or other. I roll my shoulder slightly as I lean against the rail. I wasn't concentrating and landed on it during the fight. I suddenly feel something rub it soothingly. I sigh as the pain leaves. I turn around and smile.
"Thanks, Jay."
"No biggy, you wouldn't be surprised at how many injuries there were on my gameshow."
We perform our handshake before turning back to the rails. Sensei G looks nostalgic, and not in a good way.
"I swore to never return."
He glares at Jay as he speaks up.
"You know, you should never swear. It's a sign of weak verbal skills."
Lloyd grasps the railing.
"If Zane's on that island, we'll find him. We have to."
A cold wave of uncertainty washes over as I stare at the place. Something is definitely not right here.
Woo! Finished! I hope that's a good enough apology for ya! Over two and a half thousand words! That's my writing juice used up for now, I'll try and get some more soon. As always, cookies to all who Follow and Favourite, thank you so much for reading, please leave a review, and I love you guys.
Good Day/Night to Ye!
