The words are delivered coldly, but it doesn't surprise her as the man is the epitome of cold.

"Stable, or as stable as a mad man can be."

Hers are bitter.

She still cannot believe she had been called back from Aizu to keep him alive.

She'd wished for his death over a thousand times, and now it was being denied because the bastard had information too important to be easily discarded.

As she'd been told on the road to the safe house he was being kept, the man was indispensable.

Years of cruelty, slavery, of living her life in fear at his hands, and it had come to her being vital to his survival.

She guessed it was meant as her punishment for all she did while under his crushing thumb.

Only now, there would be no savior to free her.
