AN: So I ended the last chapter leaving behind a few questions. How does Bubbles act when Boomer tells her that Brick is in love with Blossom? Is it over for Butch and Buttercup? What was Brick about to tell Blossom? Finally what in the heck happened to the reservations and Dexter? Well hopefully you'll find all that out (IF NOT ALL MOST OF IT) In this chapter hope you enjoy it.
DEXTER'S POV...
"Blossom" I called out from behind her.
"Dexter?" she said when she finally looked back. I made my way over to her. "Dexter where were you? And what happened to our dinner reservations?"
"Blossom I'm sorry I got stuck with my professor I rushed through everything to make it here with you." I explained "And about the reservations I tried to call you back and tell you but I was too busy."
"What about the reservations?" she asked
"I never got around to calling them back and confirming it. I was too busy."
"Dexter that's the problem you're always so busy." She pouted
"I know but it won't always be like this."
"You've been singing that same story for how long now?" she asked sounding more hurt than upset.
"Blossom I promise it will get better."
"If you can't prove to me it'll get better then I don't want to hear you false promises."
"It will starting now." I said and pulled out a small bag. It had bold silver letters that said diamond rock printed on the bag.
"Dexter what is that?" she asked. I grabbed the small box out of the bag and opened it up.
"It's a promise ring and I promise I won't ever brake another promise I make to you ever again."
"It's so beautiful." she said still in awe.
"Here let me put it on." He said and took her hand. "There it fits perfect."
"It is perfect! Thank you so much." she said and wrapped her arms around me. I placed a few kisses on her cheek before she let go of me. After clearing everything up I decided it would be best if we still grab something to eat. We made it most of the way through dinner then my professor called. Apparently I did a few things wrong earlier and he was furious. She didn't even get upset when I told her. I promised her I'd call her tonight and I transported her home.
"So I'll see you next time beautiful." I said
"Alright I'll see you next time and I'll be waiting on your call tonight." she said and I gave her a hug and a small kiss on the cheek before I transported myself back to school.
BUBBLES POV..
Blossom walked through the front door smiling from ear to ear. I couldn't help but notice her huge smile and I asked her what was she smiling about. She held out her hand and show me the large diamond ring on her finger.
"Blossom you're not getting married? Are you?"
"no" she laughed "I'm not getting married. It's just a promise ring that Dexter gave me. Plus this isn't even the right finger."
"Dexter?" I asked "I thought you guys broke up or something because you haven't been talking about him lately"
"I know we were having troubles but we solved them. He promised that he will do right by me and that he'll be a better boyfriend to me" she said
"Aww that's so sweet." I said but then I remembered what Boomer told me about Brick liking Blossom.
"I know he's the most amazing boyfriend I've ever had."
"Yeah but he is the only boyfriend you've ever had" I said putting emphasis on the words is, and only.
"You think that Boomer is the best boyfriend ever and that's the only boyfriend you ever had. So what are you trying to say?" she said defensively.
"I didn't mean it like that. I was just saying, sorry if you got offended."
"No I didn't get offended, I just thought that you were trying to talk down on our relationship because Dexter is the only person I've been in a relationship with."
"No I wasn't but I am happy for you either way it goes."
"Thanks sis and I'm sorry because I know you and Boomer have been going together for what? Three years now so he must be an amazing boyfriend"
"Yes he's the best"I laughed
"Blossom where's your phone" Buttercup called out from upstairs interrupted.
"Right here, why?" she asked.
"Because I just got a text from dad and he said he's been trying to call us off of your phone"
"I didn't get a call from him but I'm going to call him back. Come down stairs because I know he will want to talk to all of us." Blossom yelled up the stairs."
I called Brick and Butch downstairs so they could talk to professor as well. Boomer was at work so I will have to tell him about it later.
"Blossom" dad called out as soon as he answered the phone.
"Yes" she responded
"Where are your sisters and the boys I have something very important to talk to you all about?"
"Everyone's right here except for Boomer, he's at work."
"OK well as you know I was supposed to come home as soon as we found the cure but somehow the outbreak worsened and now they're not letting anyone leave in or out of the state. They have us on total lock down over here and I think I'll be staying longer than I thought." He said
"How long do you think you'll be staying dad?" I asked
"I don't know but I do know we have to start over from the beginning to find a cure, but first we have to wait until the lock down is over."
"How long do you think the lock down will be?" Buttercup asked
"I'm not sure it could be weeks for all I know"
"Are you going to be ok?" Brick asked
"Yeah because we could just fly where you are and bring you back home." Butch added
"That's not necessary. I'll be fine I plus I promised these people I would help find a cure. You guys just take care of each other and I'll be home as soon as I can I love you guys and I'll talk to you later." he said
"We love you too" Blossom said
"Yeah and be careful out there." Brick added
"Okay bye bye." he said and hung up.
AUTHORS POV..
After the phone call blossom didn't waist any time getting up to her room. She was waiting on her phone call from Dexter and sure enough she got it. They didn't stay on the phone as long as she would have liked but it was longer than any other time they talked. She took a shower then got into bed.
*Knock knock*
"Who could that be knocking this time of night?" she asked herself as she rose up out of bed. She wiped the sleep out of her eyes as she headed down stairs. The knocking continued. "Almost there" she said approaching the door. She looked out the peep hole and slowly opened the door.
"Dexter? What are you doing here?" she asked
"I don't know I wanted to see you so I transported myself over here." He responded
"Really? that's sweet but couldn't you have done it... you know earlier?" she asked
"Yeah our time zones are a little different but I didn't really think about that." He said "Go change and I'll transport us somewhere special."
"Umm okay." She ran upstairs and changed as fast as she could. "Okay I'm ready" she said as she descended the stair case.
"You are so beautiful" he said and grabbed her hand. He transported them to the same place he did when they first went on a date.
Everything was twice as beautiful this time then it was last time.
"Oh my gosh it's so beautiful." she said
"I know I tried really hard to get everything right for you."
"I'm so happy you're my boyfriend." she said looking at him for the first time since they transported.
"Brick?!" she asked. How is this possible? He was Dexter now he's Brick?
"You said my name like you were shocked? Are you okay Bloss?" Brick asked
"I am, when you picked me up you weren't yourself, you were Dex..." she said dumbfounded
"Bloss chill. Everything is how it's supposed to be." he hushed her.
"What? I don't understand? How in the...?" again he stopped her this time by placing his finger on her lip.
"He doesn't deserve you. He will never be able to treat you like I do. He was never suppose to have you. I was." He slowly slid his finger off her lips and kissed her.
It was unlike anything she ever felt before. It set her whole world on fire. Burning away all her feelings she ever had for Dexter. Then the fire turned to ice giving her the cooling feeling that relaxed her mentally and physically. The ice melted and turned to water washing away all her troubles. Then half of the water melted and the other half was taken over by beautiful plants. She was in paradise.
"Bloss I love you baby." he said pulling his lips just inches away from her lips.
She felt a shift in her body. Then it felt as if he was shaking her arm. Everything went black. what the? She felt another shift in her body and her eyes slowly peeled opened. She saw a figure hoovering over her.
"Wake up You're going to be late?" Brick said
"Huh?" she said as she lifted her upper part of her body off the bed and looked around the room.
"For school? I knocked for about five minutes then I noticed the door was unlocked so I came in to make sure you were awake." He said
"What time is it?" she asked
"7:03, You slept eighteen minutes over the time you normally wake up you couldn't hear the alarm?" he said and looked over at it and stopped the light that was still flashing.
"No." she said throwing the cover back getting out of bed.
"You were sleeping so hard must have been having a good dream?" He asked and the sudden memory of the dream appeared in her head. He looked over at her.
"Yeah it was..." she started to say when she noticed he was staring at her. Shoot! She thought when she remembered what she went to bed in. After her shower last night she decided to sleep in her bra and very short shorts. She reached over and grabbed the sheet off the bed to cover herself.
"Umm I'll wait on you downstairs." he said before leaving the room.
"Okay." she felt slightly embarrassed after he left. No one had ever seen her like that and it just so happened to be Brick to see her that only made it worse.
BUTTERCUP POV:
Butch and I haven't talked at all since the whole argument. I don't know if we broke up or what. When I told him to leave me alone I didn't really mean it. I'm still upset about the whole thing though. Ace cheated on me all the time so who knows what Butch will do? All the air headed cheerleaders like him. Who knows how many he has messed with and is probably still messing with now? After all look at me... I thought
"Hey Butch coach said he needs to see you." I overheard one of the cheerleaders call out. I didn't know he was anywhere near me but when I looked around to find him he was walking off with that bimbo on his back. What was the point in trying. This love shit is just not for me. Seeing Butch most of the day didn't help it and it only made it worse when Boomer wanted to talk to me about it. I snapped him up quick and ended our conversation. I wasn't mad at Boomer or anything but I didn't want to talk about it at school. No one needs to know I had a weak side. When It was lunch time Butch didn't sit with the rest of us. It was no surprise he went back to where he use to be. Surrounded by those stupid ass cheerleaders. Why am I not surprised? Well I had two more classes with him then I could just go home and avoid him like Blossom was doing Brick. I headed to sixth period with this Butch situation still on my mind.
"Hey Cupcake" I heard Ace say. His voice was so familiar I didn't even have to turn around and look at him.
"What the hell do you want?"
"I miss you, come back to me." he said
He had to be joking cause there was no way in hell I'd ever get back with him.
"No Ace leave me alone." I said and continued walking. He ran in front of me and blocked my way.
"Ace move no one wants to play these stupid ass games with you leave me the hell alone pleasee!"
"And what if I don't?" he asked looking over the top of his shades.
"Moveeeeeee!" I yelled
"You don't want me to move." he said and used his cryokinesis and trapped me in a block of ice. The only part of my body that was not trapped in ice was my head.
"Ace let me go!" I asked
"No, you left me and humiliated me why would I do that?" he asked with a wiked smile on his face
"Because I can melt this ice with my heating powers and beat the hell out of you for trying me."
"Okay let me see you try it."
I started heating my whole body and I felt the Ice melting but halfway through I felt it freezing back up. I couldn't tell if he was doing it or did the ice have the ability to do it itself now.
"Can you let me out of here I'm going to be late for class." I yelled
"No I thought we have some fun, since you like embarrassing people."
Some how the ice separated into four thick blocks that encased my arms and feet.
"Ace what the fuck? Let me go. I swear I'm going to kick your ass when I get free!" I threatened.
"Just shut up and enjoy this." he said as he reached up and grabbed hold of my pants.
"No stop!" I yelled trying to melt the ice.
He had pulled my pants just below my knees when I saw a hand on his shoulder snatching him off of me.
"What the fuck are you doing man." Ace asked. I looked over and noticed it was Butch.
"Didn't she ask you to let her the fuck go?" He yelled back at Ace
"Why is it your business? You can have her when I'm done." Ace spat and tried to make his way back over to me.
"Who the fuck do you think she is? One of these whores you can just pass around?" Butch said as he snatch him by his arm
"Bro get your fucking hands off me." Ace snapped as he struggled to get out of Butch's grip.
"Or what?" Butch asked. All I could do was watch. His powers were way different from when I was dating him. Before I knew how to defeat him but now I'm clueless. Ace was a very smart person but him swing on Butch was the dumbest thing he ever did. Butch grabbed his arm and wrapped it around his neck and punched him in the face several time.
"Unfreeze the ice." Butch yelled and when Ace didn't do it he continued to punch him.
"You're going to kill him Butch." I said
"Unfreeze the fucking ice." He said again and finally Ace did it. The parts of my body where the ice was felt numb. Butch grabbed him by his neck and lifted him up in the air. "If you ever mess with her again I swear I'll fucking kill you." Butch said and threw Ace to the ground. Ace got up and stumbled away.
I fixed my clothes and walked over to him. I really didn't know what to say to him. I wanted to throw my hands around him and just let him hold me while I cry in his arms. I knew that wouldn't happen we still weren't on good terms.
"Are you okay?" he asked finally breaking the silence.
"Yeah I'm good. Thank you for saving me from that asshole." I responded
"No problem." He said and it seemed like he was about to say something else but he didn't.
"Um thanks again. See you later." I said and walked away. The last thing I said to him before now was leave me alone. What could I possibly say now to make it better? I made my way to class with my mind still on Butch.
BRICKS POV...
School took forever to go by today. Only positive was that Bloss wasn't being all stuck up towards me today. She talked to me just about all day, even when it didn't involve work. I was surprised when she didn't snap on me for coming in her room earlier. I wondered what had changed her attitude towards me. We were home now, well me, Bloss, and Bubbles. I don't know where Buttercup went but Butch was at football practice and Boomer was at work. I was so happy that the end of this week would be our break. I wanna spend as much time with Blossom as possible. It's crazy how much I care about that girl. I was sitting in the living room about to watch tv.
"Bloss." I stopped her as she was walking through the hall heading back to her room.
"Yeah?" she asked
"Molly mystery is about to come on can you watch it with me? I hate watching it without you." I asked
"Uhhh yeah." she said as if she wasn't so sure about it . She came and joined me on the couch.
"So Brick have you watched all episodes yet?"
"No I stopped watching it when you stopped watching it with me."
"Really why?"
"Because it wasn't the same, watching the show had become our thing. I missed you." I said and saw her cheeks turn red
"I missed watching tv with you too. It was so boring being locked in my room all day." she admitted
"Yeah, it's okay as long as you're okay now, I'm good."
"Owee shows starting." she said and we focused our attention on the tv.
Half way through the first episode her phone rang. "Hold on" she said before answering her phone. "Hello"
I could hear the person on the other side of the phone.
"Hello what are you doing?" It sounded like that dorky boyfriend of hers.
"Nothing watching tv, how about you?" she said and slid to the end of the chair. I'm guessing she knew I could hear by the way I was watching her.
"I'm actually suppose to be in a meeting. I had to step out and call you."
"Really" she responded as if she felt special or something. She got up off the couch and walked over by the front door. I don't know if she thought that would help. I could still hear every word.
"Yeah I called you because a few people contacted me today about something I really wasn't looking forward to hearing." he said
"What was that?" she asked
"That you were hanging around with that good for nothing low life." He yelled and I couldn't help myself I stood up and walked over to her.
"What did he say?" I asked. I wasn't asking because I knew what he said I just couldn't believe it. She just waved her hand thinking I would just go away. "No what did he say."
She covered the mouth piece of the phone and looked at me. "Brick please."
"How could you do this to me? After I specifically asked you to stay away from that idiot. I go and get you a promise ring and try to make things better between us but you're trying to tear us apart. I am so angry." he continued to yell at her. All of a sudden everything made sense she was avoiding me because of him.
"I'm sorry" she said. Her voice cracked as if she was about to cry.
"Yeah Blossom ok, we will finish this talk later they need me." he said and hung up. The only reason I didn't say anything to him was because I didn't want her to be mad at me. He has another thing coming for him If he thinks he'll get away with talking about me like that though.
She stood there speechless. Her phone was still placed at her ear while the dial tone buzzed loud in her ear.
"Bloss." I said and she finally moved the phone from her ear and hung it up. She was about to walk off when I grabbed her arm. "Wait stop."
"For what" she asked her voice was shaking as if she was trying to hold back a million tears.
"You don't have to put up with that." I said still upset with the way he just talked to her. "Why are you even dealing with that?"
"Because he's my boyfriend." she said in that same shaky tone.
"But you don't deserve to be treated like that. Is he even worth it?" I asked
"Yes!" She yelled and I didn't really know what to say.
"Still that doesn't mean you have to be talked to any kind of way. You can always find someone else." I said not prepared for what she would say next. "But I love him." her voice shook and her tears finally started to fall.
Okay new chapter... I took long again huh? sorry sorry sorry I'm trying to get the hang of writing and going over and editing it on a time schedule. So if I don't get the next chapter up in two weeks or less I'm going to upload two chapters at the same time... How is that?
