Chapter Eight: Why Because Our Status Gap, We Can't Be Together?
Mwu Resident, Morning.
Today is the first day of school, after a week of spring break. Cagalli feel that time goes really fast, she even don't really feel her spring break is enough, since that "Mr Greatest Zala" suddenly received a phone called from his dad asked him to fly immediately to Orb. She has to spend all remaining break day, working at her uncle Host Club, which she doesn't really like it much. All she could see are, lonely women seek for attention. That is disgusting her the most, but she can't complain since that job keeps her alive.
BRING…. BRING….
"Five more minutes you stupid clock!" Hissed Cagalli to his alarm clock. She pushes the snooze button, then her back to her dream land. She happily sleeps, until she remembers that today is her first day of school after a week of spring break. She sat up, and turn to her side table on her left, her alarm clock showed the time as 7.45am, she only has 15minutes to arrive at school without receiving any detention. She gets up from her bed, running around her room like a mad person. Went to her closet to grab her school uniform, then went to her bathroom, to have quickly clean up. After that, she went to her table to pick up her school bag and books for today's lessons, but not before she combs her blonde hair, she not in mood to tie her hair up, since she's really late. She exits her room and went downstairs running. She looks into the kitchen, she saw no one that mean her uncle not yet wake up, that only mean that her breakfast is energy bar, she went to the kitchen cabinet and grab chocolate energy bar, rip it and munch it while running to the main door. She takes out her black school shoes from shoe cabinet, wear it, lastly she grabs skateboard. She rarely used skateboard unless her late for school.
"Uncle, I'm off!" Yelled Cagalli to her sleepy Uncle on second floor. Even she knows her uncle will never hear her out, but she feels that it is really rude to not say to her uncle goodbye.
She has skated to her school, that located 8minutes from her house, even that is her uncle's house, but since her uncle is her guardian that means his house is her house too.
She skates as fast as she could, she really doesn't want get any detention on her first day of school.
She arrived at her school gate, she looks at her wristwatch, which show 7.58am. That means she only has 2minutes left to run to her shoe locker change indoor shoe, then to her class 1-A.
"Great!" Cursed Cagalli to herself. She only has one person to blame for her lateness, that is "Mr I Will Never Leave You Alone", he should know her best that after a week off from school, she will have hard time to wake up, he should call her to give her a morning wake up. But no, that guy did not give her morning call. She runs in the hall, she avoids any person on her way. Then she saw 1-A, her classroom. She steps inside while panting for air. She walks to her desk, while walking there she saw a person she wanted smack the most. He spaced out by looking outside the window, his chin resting on his palm.
RING…. RING…
The school bell echoes all the school, the students running to their classroom for their ordered seat. Cagalli walk to her seat that is unfortunately beside Arthrun. Athrun turns his head to Cagalli direction. He dryly smiles at her, "Good morning, princess."
Cagalli ignore him, she just took her seat. She gives Athrun silence treatment, since she's really angry at the guy. Athrun just watches her behaviour, he wanted to say something to her, but was cut when their History teacher enters, Mrs Natarle Badgiruel.
He really desperately wants to know why the blonde beside he does so angry at him, sometimes he can be really useless when it comes to this only girl that make his heart beat unstable. He took a piece of paper from his notepad, he rips it, click the pen and start writing it down. After he finished writing it, he aims the paper to his princess.
Cagalli felt something in her left cheek, then a paper laid down on her desk. She open the paper and read it:
Dear beautiful princess, I sometimes can be jerks because of that am sorry if I the reason made you mad. I really am.
Cagalli took out her blue pen from her yellow pencil case, she opens the pen cap by her mouth and she starts to write it down as her reply to that "Greater Zala".
She throws the paper back to where it should be. Athrun catches the paper, and slowly open it, he honestly scared what Cagalli replied back at him.
Dear Mr Cocky, I mad at you because… you have to figure it out by yourself, until then you will never have my apologies. Here is a clue, "break".
Athrun scratches his head, he really can't make his mind by a word "break".
What it means by that, though Athrun to himself.
Athrun steals a glance at a girl beside him, she just ignores him and continue to pay attention at the board at the board. While he thinking really hard by that only clue Cagalli gave to him. He can't put himself together, then suddenly Mrs Natarle Badgiruel called out his name.
"Mr Zala, are you listening to what the question that I asking you a minute ago?" Asked Mrs Natarle Badgiruel in fury, she really disliked her students did not pay any attention at her lesson, she does know that no one really into history.
Every single one in the class look at Athrun direction, Athrun felt uncomfortable by his classmates looking at him. Cagalli who's seat beside him, just smile victoriously. After all, this is "The Greater Zala", he not a kind of student that did not pay any attention at the teacher or lesson. But today is the day that he becomes something else, like he in his own world, by his own world, he tried his best to figure out why Cagalli mad at him.
Athrun sheepishly answers, "Well, I am really sorry Mrs Badgiruel I did not pay any attention on your lesson, can you kindly repeat the question for me?"
Mrs Badgiruel just let short sigh, "Since today is first day of school, I assume that your body still in holiday mood. I forgive you for only today, but next time, trust me, you will never escape and try to pay attention for now Mr Zala."Said Mrs Badgiruel and continue with her lesson.
Athrun feels relief, but that's not so long, he still need to figure out why does his princess mad at him. Athrun hit his forehead with his palm, he knows why she mad at him. He writes back on the paper, and aim to Cagalli table.
Cagalli saw the paper and open it,
I am sorry that I did not give you morning call today, since today is the first day of school since our spring breaks. I really am sorry, I will treat you anything as long you forgive me my princess.
On the bottom of the word "princess" he draws a sad face. Cagalli chuckle, she can't be mad at him that long since he bribes her with food, which she can't resist it.
She throws back the paper to Athrun back.
Athrun opens it, and smile at it. Cagalli had forgiven him, he looks at Cagalli, which Cagalli turn her head at Athrun and smile at him, and open her month but not voice out but Athrun understands it.
I will make you go bankrupt.
Athrun just smiles at her, they both continue their history lesson.
Rooftop, Lunch Hour.
"Cagalli is it okay for us to let Athrun all by himself to buy our lunch? I feel pity for him to do all that all by himself. It's too much for him to carry from Cafeteria to this rooftop." Asked very concern Nicol at Cagalli.
Cagalli invited Nicol to join lunch together, and she asks Nicol that he can eat anything that he wanted since it Athrun treat. At first, Nicol hesitated, but after Cagalli gave him a dangerous glare he just told Athrun that he want to have special bento. Then Cagalli drag him to the rooftop.
"Nicol, don't worry too much, I'm sure he can handle it. This Athrun we talked about, he can do it by himself. He has that title of "The Greatest Zala" for nothing." Replied Cagalli with annoying face by the view from the rooftop.
"You know why I like the view from here, Nicol? Is because you can see people from up here to down there so small, it's like to can squeezes the tiny of them with your thumb and index fingers, which I hope I can do that to that "Meer The Queen of Beauty". Yack. Give me a break, she is far from Queen." Said Cagalli while putting her thumb and index fingers close to Meer whose is walking slut way to the school gate to buy her lunch at outside with her cheerleader squad.
Nicol went to where Cagalli stand, "You really don't like them so much. But I guess you wrong about Meer. She is in my class, she not that bad. She is one of teacher pet, and the guys seem to like her a lot."
"Do you like her?" Asked Cagalli while looking at his light brown eyes.
Nicol tried to avoid that staring, but he can't, "I-ii-ii don't like her, okay?" Stutter Nicol and turn his head at opposite direction from Cagalli and let a relief sigh.
Cagalli looking at him suspiciously.
Then both of them hear footsteps from the rooftop door, they both turn their head in the direction. There are Athrun with three bags of food.
Cagalli smile at him, and walk at him and carry one of the bags from his hand.
"Thank you, Athrun for the foods." With that Cagalli went to the spot where they can eat their lunch in peace.
"Well Athrun, I really am sorry for the trouble to buy the food for me." Said Nicol and carry one of the bags from his hand.
"Is okay, Nicol. Since we are friend there nothing trouble for me to buy food for you too." Reply Athrun while they both walking in Cagalli direction.
The trio is peacefully eating their lunch.
"Well Nicol how was your aunt and cousin?" Asked Athrun while munches his sweet bread.
"I am happy to say that my uncle came back to them. They said that they will put aside their difference, and work as a married couple should be. My aunt and Ayaka never could be happier than before. I should thank to you Cagalli. You really saved their marriages.
Cagalli chocked at her apple juice that her drink when she heard of what Nicol had say about her saving his aunt marriages, "What are you saying? I did not do anything, and I am not a couple therapy, all I have just given some advice that's all."
"Well, whatever you did, you really my aunt lifesaver. Just take the credit, Cagalli." Smile Nicol at Cagalli, he really meant by what he had told her.
"He is right, just this once take the credit." Said Athrun while looking at her blush face, Cagalli don't really like to be praised by anyone.
Piano Room, Everning.
Since Athrun still has his swimming practice, rather spent her time at her own Ghost Club all by herself, or at swimming pool area which all Athrun fan girls will be there to irritate her, she willingly to kill her spare time at piano room with Nicol.
Currents Nicol practice Beethoven Klaviersonaten und Symphonien Vol. I, even Cagalli not into the music, but the way Nicol plays around with piano keys it so awesome. Cagalli close her eye and enjoy the melody that Nicol play. While she close her eyes tight, she imagines herself and her dad at the lake. Her smile at the memories, they will go to the lake every summer to have a picnic together. She and her dad will wake up super early to prepare food for the picnic, it is a daughter and father moment. Her dad will baked chocolate cake for her, while she is just being his sous chef, in Cagalli definition of sous chef is looking at her dad do all the works. She loves watching her dad does all the works, but her dad will sometimes play with her like throwing the floor at her, or put the cream on her nose. She really misses all those things that only she and dad will do. Cagalli try her best to not let tears coming out from her amber eye. Then she snaps when she wasn't listening at any melody came out of YAMAHA piano. She opens her eye, and focus at Nicol.
"Why are you stopping playing?" Inquired Cagalli at her friend.
"Well, first I am done with my practice and second it time for us to go home."
Cagalli look at her black wristwatch, it showed 5.45pm.
"Ohhh… yea, I guess your music made me lost track of time. But I really like your melody, I sure that you will win the High School State Championship that will be held in four months from now, am I right?" Asked Cagalli while packing her thing.
"Yes, but I still there something that I can change the music to modern taste. So that it's not sound too old or traditional." Replied Nicol while walking by Cagalli side toward the swimming pool area.
"I guess you were right, but still the traditional sound is not that bad either, but if you put modern, maybe it will show some of fresh melody on it." Cagalli snaps from reality when she said too much about a thing that she didn't at someone who's pouring soul on it. "Sorry I don't really know about music, I just like to listen to them." Said Cagalli with an apologetic smile at him.
"That is okay, but at least you try to understand what I try to say to you. That's more than enough, the one that should be sorry is me. Since I talk too much about piano, which must bore you to death."
"Not at all, at least I learn something about music, if someday people ask me about piano or anything that related music I can proudly answer them."
Both of them laugh.
Soon they reached in the swimming pool area, there they both saw hysterical of Athrun fan girls. They all scream, yell and jump up and down like a monkey. Cagalli just rolled her eyes.
''Wow! Athrun really famous among the girls."
"Yea, I guess you're right." Replied Cagalli in irritates tone of hers.
Nicol just watches his friend's behaviour.
"You know what Nicol, I think we both better wait Athrun at the school gate, since here too many people." Said Cagalli and turn her heels to school gate direction.
Nicol says nothing and just follow her.
Athrun whose saw Cagalli took off, want scream out her name, but Auel calls him first before he does. He let short sigh and went to his team captain.
In the dressing room, he changed into his school uniform as fast as he could. But that stop when he hears his phone ringing. He flips open his phone without looking at the caller ID.
"Hello." Greeted Athrun to the other line.
"Hello honey. This is your lovely mother called you dear. Are you busy at the moment honey?" Asked Lenore Zala, better known as Athrun mother.
"No mother, what can I help you?" Asked Athrun while take a sit on the bench in the changing room.
"Your father asking me to tell you that you need to attend the annual dinner tomorrow night around 8pm at Stone King Street, as future leader of Zaft Corp repetitive. Mingle with them, since all of them are your associations."
"Mother, is not that I don't want to go, it's just that I don't feel like to mingle around with old nag people. The way they talk to me like I an alien around them. Can you make up any excuses for me to father, mother?"
"Well, honey, I can't. Your father looking forward to this meeting. He keeps on saying that you will show yourself at that annual dinner, honey. He also kept on saying that you will make him proud of you as his heir of his business."
"If he wants me to go to that stupid annual dinner, can I bring Cagalli along? With her along I will not be bored with such old hags."
There was a long pause before his mother reply, "Is that made you go, and well is okay."
Athrun smiles to himself, since he hasn't spent much time with his princess, "That's a deal. Thanks mother, is there anything you want talk about mother?"
"I guess that's all, honey. Take care of yourself honey. I love you dear."
"I love you too mother, send my greeting to father and Ami." With that Athrun flip close his phone, then stand up to meet his princess at the school gate.
At the school gate, Athrun saw his princess talked casually at Nicol. Is not like he jealous or anything, it's just that he wants that smiles of her only belong only to him.
Nicol saw Athrun and wave at him, "Hey Athrun, we are here."
Cagalli just watch him walk in their direction.
"Hey guys, are you coming with us to grab dinner Nicol?" Asked Athrun which inside him pray that Nicol not going to join them for dinner.
"No, Athrun. I just here to company Cagalli, since she stayed with me earlier. Why not I paid her a favor back." Smile Nicol at Athrun.
"Well, I need to get going now, see both of you guys tomorrow. Bye Cagalli and Athrun." Said Nicol while running in the opposite direction that Athrun and Cagalli will be going.
"Shall we get going, princess?" Asked Athrun while offering his arm.
Cagalli accepted his arm, and link her with him.
"Before we go take our dinner, there one place that I wanted to bring you."
"Where is it?" Puzzled Cagalli at her best friend inquired.
"You will know soon, my princess. Be patient, dear."
Cagalli just rolled her eyes, and just obey to the majestic.
Kitaka Boutique, Everning.
Cagalli blink her eyes, why in hell Athrun brought her here.
Athrun pulls Cagalli to get inside the stone, inside the store, they both has been greeted by a very attractive lady, in late twenties, she has long black hair, which she let it down, but she wears a blue headband to keep it neat, and that lovely violet eye which amazed Cagalli the most.
"Well hello there Mr Zala. What can I assist you?" Asked the lady.
"Good evening, Mrs Akihara. I'm here to purchase an evening dress for this lovely princess of mine. Can you pick an evening dress for her that will wow anyone?" Asked Athrun while pull Cagalli in front of him for the lady have better a view of her.
Cagalli felt uncomfortable by the staring that she received from the lady that Athrun called as Akihara.
That lady smile widely then grabs Cagalli arm, and bring her to the fitting room. Athrun just sees the ladies retreat from his view, he takes a seat near the cashier and waiting.
After 10 minutes or so, the lady came out first. She looks around her boutique to find Athrun, after she spots the boy she went to him, "Come with me Mr Zala. You will love with what she wears, she is so damn pretty, with her slider figure she can fit in any kinds of dress." Said Akihara in happy.
"You stand right here, while I go get her. I bet you will be in cloud nine." With that Akihara went inside the fitting room, and bring Cagalli out of the fitting room.
"Mr Zala, here is your beloved princess."
Athrun jaw drop, he can't believe in front of him is his princess. She really looked so much prettier than any princess that he ever know of. She wears bright red short dress until her knee, which cover her left shoulder with long sleeve, while on the right shoulder expose to be show off of her silky white shoulder. Athrun smirks at her blush face. She after all Cagalli who's did not wear any girly clothes often except her school uniform, other than that she will only wear short pants or simple T-shirt.
Cagalli look at Athrun with the blush, but at the same time, she has that beautiful piss off face on, to Athrun it is cute, but actually it is not that cute at all.
"ZALA! Are you planning to stare there like an idiot? Can I change now? I hate this dress!" Hissed Cagalli while both of her arms cross in front of her chest.
Athrun nearer her and smile at her, then he put his arm around her waist went closer to her ear, "You look so beautiful princess." Husky Athrun while looking into her amber.
Cagalli face went redder than a tomato, she pushes his arm from her waist went to the fitting room, into change to her school uniform.
Athrun just smiles at her, he really enjoys teasing her. He went to Akihara, "I would like to purchase the dress."
"No problem, Mr Zala. By the way, your companion is one lovely girl, may I ask, is that your girlfriend?"
"I wish she is, but unfortunately she just my close friend." Replied Athrun in low.
Akihara just stop there, and process the payment.
Cagalli came out with the dress on her right arm, she gives to the lady. She went to Athrun and step on the Athrun left foot hard.
Athrun just bit his lower lip to prevent him to scream.
"You better have explanation what in hell is going on! Buying me that sexy red dress, and you my close friend should know that I hate DRESS!" Yelled Cagalli at Athrun.
"I have, and I will explain to you during dinner, okay?" Replied Athrun after recovered from the pain.
"Here you go Mr Zala. I wish both of you have a wonderful night together." Smile Akihara to both of her customers.
"Thank you so much Mrs Akihara. I believe we both should take our leave." Replied Athrun while pulls Cagalli out from the store.
They're walking on the street, "I believe we need to go to the shoe store." Said Athrun.
"What?!" Yelled Cagalli in furious.
Athrun ignores her, he just pulls her arm, and start running on the street to the shoe store.
Cagalli tired of battle with him, which there were never ending. He will keep it mysterious.
We Kutsu, Evening.
Athrun went inside the store and search the perfect shoe for his princess that will match with the dress that he just bought. Cagalli tired she just sit from all the running. She just watches Athrun lazily. She just wants to get out of the store and has dinner. She let long sigh.
Athrun saw a perfect pair, it is black high heels, like one and half inch high the heel, since he knows Cagalli foot size, since all her footwear Athrun bought as present or simply she just lazy to buy one. He went to the attendant, and tell her the size of a shoe. After a while the attendant went back to him and give him a box that fill with a pair of black high heels. Athrun opens the box, looking at the content, when he satisfied, he told the attendant that he would like to purchase it.
After he made the payment he went to Cagalli, and grab her arm again run to the exit door and made one last stop before grab dinner.
Cagalli just let Athrun drag her to where ever he wants to go.
Cagalli eyes wide open when they both stop at the very expensive jewellery store.
Vahku Jewellery Store, Evening.
Athrun realizes that his princess still stood still, he went near her, "Are you come in?" Whisper Athrun in her ear.
Cagalli snap from the ticklish of Athrun breath, "What are we doing here, Athrun!?" Yelled Cagalli at Athrun. She looks into his jade eyes.
"I will explain it later, but now please come in with me." Said Athrun and pull Cagalli inside the store.
Cagalli amazed with the beauty of the every single jeweller, she looks into the glass cabinet where they put the jewelleries at.
Athrun went near her, "You like it right? But let me choose a suitable necklace for your lovely neck, that will make people surroundings you amaze of your beauty." Whisper Athrun to Cagalli.
Cagalli turn her head to her left when Athrun stands at, he has that lovely smile on his face and his gaze soft. Athrun turns his head, and grab her arm to where the all beautiful necklaces at.
There was a guy in the late forties, whose known Athrun, but that never surprise Cagalli at all, since he is a future leader of one successful Corporation.
"Hello there Mr Zala, what this humble old man can assist you?" Asked the guy.
"Well, I want to buy one of your necklaces for this lovely lady right here, may I look through the necklaces first, since I want it coming from my own taste." Replied Athrun while looking at the glass cabinet very determination.
That old man, just give Cagalli glare, he don't really like Cagalli, in his eye Cagalli is not suitable to be near or friend of the future leader of Zaft Corp, their status level is not same.
Cagalli just looked away from his glare, since this is not her first time to be treated such way. To be Athrun friend there will be a lot of people hate her to be near him, after all who is Cagalli Yula Athha? Her legal guardian an owner of the host club, which most of people find that job as disgusting and low. But Athrun always told her, that he don't really mind what people said about their friendship. For him their friendship is sincere.
"That will look good on you, princess. Can I have a look at that lovely necklace?'' Asked Athrun while pointing at that necklace.
The man obey him, "Well, Mr Zala it is very lovely and expensive necklace, are you sure want to give it to that girl?" Asked the man and look at Cagalli.
"Yes, she will be wearing it. I positive it will absolutely look great on her."
The man just kept shut, and give it to Athrun the necklace to look at it in closer. Cagalli just do her own business.
"I would like to purchase it, please wrap it." Said a happy Athrun.
The man just obey his request, Athrun looks around the store, after he found Cagalli he went near her, "After this I will treat you dinner and I promise you that I will explain everything to you my princess." Said Athrun while give her a peck on her left cheek and went to the man to make the payment.
Cagalli just ignore it, and went outside the store and wait for Athrun there.
Athrun came out of the store with a huge smile on his face, walk to where Cagalli waited for him, "Let's eat."
Cagalli lazily follow him from behind. She really feels that today is her worst day ever.
McFloost Burger, Evening.
They both have fast-food as their dinner. Cagalli ordered set A meal that contained a double chicken burger with extra cheese, a medium size fries and a medium size milo. She did not order any dessert since she doesn't have any appetite to swallow any sweets tonight.
While our hero here, having set B meal as his dinner, he has beef cheese burger with medium fries and a medium size of soft drink.
Athrun who the first break the silence between the two "As I promise, I will explain why am I asking you to those stores. I hope that you won't go ballistic at me my princess. Well, here goes nothing, I can't go back since we go farther…" Before Athrun can continue what he trying to say to the blonde, she cut him.
"JUST GO TO THE POINT, I DON'T HAVE YOU TIME WITH YOUR POLITENESS, ATHRUN!" Yelled Cagalli at the boy in front of her, she really don't have time to listen all his crap speak. Had she embarrassed enough at that stupid jewelry store employee.
Athrun just swallow hard, then he continue "I am sorry, I want you to be my companion for tomorrow annual dinner that my father asked me to go. Since it is will be bored to death, which I still young to die, I want you to keep me alive."
Cagalli just glare at the guy, "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?!" Screamed Cagalli which cause people around them looking at their direction. Athrun whose saw the attention just calm the blonde girl down.
"Cagalli, can you relax? I just asked you to be my companion for tomorrow annual dinner, not asking your kidney. Chill princess. Please help this helpless guy, I really need your favour." Asked a very desperate Athrun to his only trusted friend.
Cagalli has this huge grin on her face, she wants to push Athrun patience button, "Well, Mr Zala, you can ask all your fan girls to be your companion, which believe me, every single one of them will kill each other just to be your companion. Wait, why I have not been thinking of this, I can hold a competition for your stupid fan girls, whoever the last standing will be your companion for a day. What do you think, Athrun?"
Athrun sweat drop he doesn't really want his fan girls to be his companion. They will cling like a leech at him, which that is the last thing he want to happen at him. He also believes Cagalli will hold the competition since she never lies on him. He remembers during their elementary school year, just because he forgot to buy her birthday present, she told him that she will make him suffer and will never forget her birthday ever.
She created a website, that called as "A Day With The One and Only Athrun Zala". The website contact 50 questions all about him in subjective, since if it multiple choice questions it will be very hard for Cagalli to pick the winner. So whoever has a closer right answer at the most win the contest. Which it's be happened to be Meer, he hates Meer compared any living creations. During all day, all she does is clinging to him, try to steal his first kiss, in simple she acts all slutty around him for all day. Cagalli just recorded the event, she really enjoys herself. From that day onward he never forget her birthday EVER!
Athrun shook his mind form that unfortunate event, he looks into her hazel and beg at her, "Please, don't do that. I will do anything for you forever. I willing to do it, just don't do that again. Please.
Cagalli just chuckled at his behaviour, "Forever ha? Na, I don't think I want anything from you, just that tomorrow if I am your companion I can act as I am. Is that a deal?"
"Deal! I don't mind you act as who you really are."
"So that mean right after your swimming practice, we both need to go straight to your house, so all the things that you had bought today you need put in your place."
"Yes, that's a plan. Thank you so much, Cagalli. You are the best."
Cagalli just waved her hand at Athrun mean whatever.
Mwu Resident, Night.
Cagalli resting on her bed, trying to have a good night's sleep, but her mind is messing with her own feeling toward that only boy, and also thinking about what will happen tomorrow at annual dinner. Her head too much to bear of her own doubt. She knows that Athrun will never be her, but she is happy as long he by her side, right? That's what she thought, but when she around him, she feel somehow happy. Soon like taking forever, she has good night's sleep.
Swimming Pool Area Evening, The Next Day.
Cagalli running toward to a school swimming pool area, she can't believe she overslept at her club. It all because her mind is not as stable. She thinks too much, and that is because she eventually sleeps very late. She runs to the place that she supposed to be at. She is now late 15minutes, so she went straight to the changing room.
She arrives at in front of the changing room, she does not dare to enter and see all guys in their naked stated. So she just scream in front of the door, "Athrun are you in there? I'm sorry that I'm late. After a while, she didn't hear any response, Cagalli keep her volume higher than before, "Answer me, you idiot!"
Athrun just chuckled at the sound of Cagalli. He went to the changing door, and turn it. Outside his face to patting Cagalli, she must be running like a mad person to reach here.
"You know Cagalli, there must be a reason why Alexander Grand Bell invested telephone for nothing. You can just call me if you late, why not you?" Asked Athrun and pull Cagalli out from the area and to school gate.
"It must be my mind did not function. I'm sorry. I really hope that you did not late to annual dinner because of me." Replied Cagalli still catching her breath, even she loves to run, but today her legs just don't want to be working out like she used to be.
"Don't worry, there my princess, there nothing to worry about. Since I am Zala, people don't really mind waiting for me."
Cagalli just follow him to his mansion.
Zala Mansion, Evening.
Cagalli follow Athrun to his bedroom, "There your stuff, I sure that you can handle it all by yourself right princess?" Smirk Athrun to Cagalli.
Cagalli really piss when Athrun smirked at her, it looks that she is one idiot girl which she is not.
She went to the stuff that Athrun was pointing out, she exists in his bedroom and went to guess room that's located two rooms after his.
After a while, Athrun yells out from the guess room that currently Cagalli in, "Cagalli I will wait you downstairs, because I am done." With that Athrun went down and take a seat in the living room.
Cagalli heard him retreat to downstairs, to be honest, she already done wearing the dress, but the only problem is that she doesn't have guts to confront him with this lovely dress. For her, it is so revealing her body. She takes a deep breath, calm her mind, and count to three.
When her mind on sane stated, she went downstairs, where she saw Athrun waited her in the living room. Athrun who shuffles television channel, heard heels sound, he turns her head to the sound direction and saw a very pretty lady that he in love with. He smiles and stands up from his comfortable couch, and went to Cagalli to give her a hand.
"Are you comfortable with those heels?" Pointed Athrun at her black heels, which he happy seeing her on those rather than sport shoes or flat.
Cagalli frowned at his question, "If you must know, I can handle any kinds of shoe, it's just I don't like heels that's all."
"I'm sorry about that, but I must say that you looked really lovely in this evening."
"Well Athrun you the one who's bought it, and all these are expensive, which I will never afford it."
"Well, if you with me, you haven't worried about it." Said Athrun while offered his arm.
Cagalli accepted his arm.
"Mana, we take our leave." Said Athrun to his head maid.
Mana just smile at them, but before they both exist the mansion she stop them, "Well Young Master Zala, if you don't mind, may I take a photo of both of you, since you both looked so lovely in that outfit."

"Good evening, Young Master Athrun, and Miss Cagalli. May I say that you both looked really nice." Said Paul while opening the back door of the black limousine that have Zaft logo on the side door."
"Thank you Paul, but I guess Cagalli will be the center of attention, if I must say." Chuckled Athrun.
Cagalli just rolled her eye, and let Athrun assist her into the limo.
Inside The Limo.
"Cagalli there something missing about your appearance. You can use something as your accessory to complete your look." Said Athrun while pull out something from his black pants right pocket.
Cagalli turn her head to face Athrun with confused. What does he mean that she is not completed?
After Athrun opens the velvet gold box, Cagalli gaze turned to soft and smile at herself. Then she looks up to Athrun, "Is that you bought at that very elegant jewelry store. You really have good taste about these kinds of thing."
Athrun chuckled at her remarked, "May I?"
Cagalli get hold of her hair, and turn her back so that Athrun can have the honour to place that beautiful necklace on her neck.
Athrun blushed a bit, she really pretty girl, which she not aware of. Athrun carefully put the necklace around her neck and hook it. Cagalli face him, while looking at the necklace that now her neck. She gets hold of it to have a better view of it. It is simple but yet elegant. The chain is made from silver, while the stone made from stone with the shape of a sunflower but it is not in yellow but blue colour. Cagalli smile at it, "How come the sunflower not in yellow?" Asked Cagalli while her fingers playing the necklace that Athrun had put on.
"It's blue, because first it is your second favourite colour after yellow, and second I want it on blue so that you can remember me always since I who bought it. It sounds fair if you remember my kindness toward you." Whisper Athrun to Cagalli while looking at her necklace. Cagalli just went closer to him and give a peck on his right cheek and smile at him, "Thank you so much. I really love it. But I mostly prefer this half white angel wing, it's like to protect me from any harm." Said Cagalli to her another necklace that Athrun bought for her birthday back many years ago, which is now tangle with her new necklace.
Athrun blushed happily, "I know you like it better than any gives that gave you, but can't you wear both of it? Since both of it look good on you, my princess." Said Athrun while hold of her hand and press his lips onto it.
Cagalli giggled, all away the drives to the annual dinner were in peaceful silence which they both found it a nice atmosphere.

"That was charming." Said Cagalli in sarcastic.

Athrun really good at faking the smile to those old hags, what a loser and pathetic that he have to live in that way. Everything so unreal. Thought Cagalli.
She currently at the garden which there has a water fountain, she took a sit at the edge of the fountain. She looked up to the sky, she saw a moon, but not full moon, her amber more interested looking at the stars, her dad told her that if he not around her, that mean he is up at the star looked down at her. Cagalli still close her eye, then open it slowly and turn to Athrun,"well you are my ride here, it is rude of me to do so, even I love to do so."
"You really love the breeze, princess?" Said Athrun who's also enjoying the breeze.
"Yea, it makes my mind clear after a day from school. Why are you here, don't you have to "entertain" that old hags?"

"I don't know, maybe I can't wear this expensive heels after all, my foot against it. That's why they stumble me to my knee," laughs Cagalli which to Athrun it is not funny at all. Cagalli not a person that will stumble by herself, but he kept the thought beside.
Mwu Resident.
"Here is your knight my princess?" Said a very tall man in his late thirties to his princess which her face is blurred from Cagalli vision.
The knight is in his late twenties, he has very good build body, tall her hair is black which kept neatly on his back, his eye so lovely brown. The knight smile at the princess, which the princess glares at him as the return.
The knight still has that lovely smile on his face, while the princess walked to her father, "Father, I seriously don't need a babysitting to watch every move of me. I am 18, father, I am capable to take care of myself." Said the princess in furious to her dad.

Cagalli woke up, she sweats a lot, and she rested her forehead on her left palm. She took a glance on her side table alarm clock, it showed 4.30am. She did not understand why she dreamed about them, first of all she did not know anyone from her dream.
She tries to sleep back, but she too afraid to have that brutal dream again. She makes up her mind, and gets up from her bed, and went to the kitchen to make breakfast for herself and her uncle. Also bento for three, since Nicol will join lunch with them.
Cooking Class, Afternoon.
Cagalli currently has a cooking class of Mrs Talia Gladys. She asked the student to make Spaghetti Seafood Carbonara. Cagalli try to concentrate on the lesson, but her eyes failed to do so. She did not notice that hot boiled water at the edge of her table, she pushes the hot boiled with water by her elbow accidently, which cause her right leg burns. Her scream of the pains, which made Mrs Talia Gladys rush to her direction, "Please someone, give me a bucket of water, FAST!" Yelled Mrs Talia to her students.
Everyone surrounded her, within in a minute one of the students give a bucket of water to Mrs Talia Gladys. She slowly pats the water on her burns leg.
"Can you stand Miss Athha?"
"I guess I can."
"Okay, now two of you help her to stand up and sent her to Nurse Room. NOW!"
The two girls that Mrs Talia Gladys pointing out, rush to Cagalli side and pull her own her foot and lean her to Nurse Room.
In Nurse Room, Afternoon.
"You should be lucky Cagalli the burns not that serious. You can take out the bandage in a few days, okay?" Said Miss Aisha. She really nice lady to be nearby, no wonder Mr PE in love with the nurse.
Cagalli nodded, she looked outside the window. She knows that she is not herself today. It's all because of that dream. But the only question that plays in her head is "why"?
She closes her eye, and rest for all day, since she not in the mood to continue her lesson for the rest of the day.
Athrun whose just returned from his engineering lessons, since the girls having cooking lessons while guys having an engineering lesson. He looked around, the girls had returned from their lesson, but the girl that he wants to meet was not there. Then a girl approaches him, "If you are looking for Cagalli, she in Nurse Room. She has an accident earlier during the cooking class.
Athrun eyes wide open when he heard the news, he dashes out from the classroom and headed to Nurse Room.
He banged the door, which cause Miss Aisha startled. She looked dangerously at Athrun.
"Mrs Aisha, where is Cagalli?" Asked a very worried Athrun.
"There she is, she is asleep. Don't you worry Athrun her burns not that serious."
Athrun let relief sigh, "You know Miss Aisha she is not on herself today. She did not eat like she always does. She also did not talk too much like always, she like in her own world." Said Athrun to the nurse while walking at sleepy Cagalli.
Miss Aisha just listens to Athrun mumble. She just smiles at herself.
Athrun took a seat beside Cagalli bed, she looks at peace. He holds her hand, and admire her.

"Home. Where else?!" Said Cagalli while getting up from her bed.
Athrun tries to help her, but she refused it, which cause Athrun a bit dumb fool at her reaction.
"Cagalli I can give you lift to your house."
Cagalli just continue to walk to her classroom to pack her thing, Athrun followed from behind.
He also packs his thing, while watching Cagalli.
"I will be fine on my own Athrun. Why are you not in your swimming practice?" Asked Cagalli after a long of silence.
Athrun gets hold of her shoulders, and let her face him, "How can I go to the practice when my best friend is not in herself? Why you act so differently Cagalli?"
Cagalli saw his worried face, she feels guilty the way that she had been treating him. She turns her head aside from Athrun, "I don't know, I just feel so tired. Can we not fight over it today?"
Athrun let go of his grip, "Fine. But at least let me send you back home, Cagalli?"
Cagalli don't want fight with him, she just nodded.
The way home felt so long for both of them, they did not speak at each other along the way.
Zala Mansion, Night.
Athrun just finished talking with his father, which his father pleased at his behaviour at annual dinner last night. He walked to the dining room, where Mana had been prepared the dinner for him, since tonight he and Cagalli did not have time to grab dinner, or Cagalli who's the one refused it because she felt tired that was her excuse. He let long sigh.
Mana saw his sad expression, "Young Master is that anything that had been restless you? Is not like you to having dinner without Miss Cagalli here. Is everything alright between you two?''
Athrun clench his fist, when Mana said her name, "Nothing Mana, she just feels tired that's all. I guess she had too much fun last night." Replied Athrun which Mana detect that her Young Master kept something in his mind.
Mwu Resident, Night.
Cagalli still have the same dream, all over again. It had been four nights in the row that the same dream appears in her dream. She always will be felt tired all day long. She did know why. In her dream that have something different about it.
After the knight head had been cut off, inside the castle, the princess had been locked in her room for four days.
On the fifth day, the Kings enter the room with a huge smile on his face, "Well, my lovely princess, I have a great news for you. You will get married with Prince of Salam."
The princess checks wet of tears that had come out unexpectedly. She just nodded her head, she knows somehow that they will be together, if is not in this life maybe they will be in the next life.
The morning of her wedding days, her face still blurs for Cagalli look at, but one thing for sure is that is not happy about the marriages with some prince that she is not in love at all.
The maid went inside her room, and let her know that is time. She stands up from her seat, and walk downstairs, from on top she can see her father happy, and turn his head to his princess with a huge smile on his face. The princess fakes her smile, to not let her father down.
She walked slowly, step by step and then she reached her father. Her father offered her his arm, which she accepted.
She is now in front of the priest, beside her is the one that she will commitment for the rest of her life.
Now is her turn to say a simple word in the world, "I do", but she did not say it. She runs into one of the guards pull out his sword and aim at her chest while saying, "I'm sorry father, I shall can't marry a guy that I not in love with."
Everyone in the church scream, the King on his knee and cries for the first time.
Cagalli woke up from her sleep, she feels her cheek with her fingers, and there was tears that rolling down from her eye, does she cried in sleep. She murmurs, "The princess die, because of love." Her glance at her side time, her alarm clock showed 6am. Time for her to wake up.
School Yard, Morning.
The boys of class 1-A, 1-B and 1-C having them running 2.5km, while the girls having the same but the distance way shorter than the boys. Cagalli left out, since her leg still in recovery.
Athrun who is the first person arrived at the school, take his time to walk around the school yard. While he stretching, he looks up at the school building. To his surprise, there was a girl on top of the building, looked like she wants to jump from the building. He runs toward the building, when he runs closer to the building she have a perfect view of that girl.
Cagalli.
He screams on top of his lung, "CAGALLI DON'T YOU DARE TO JUMP!"
It is too late, she did jump, Athrun runs toward her as fast as he could and catch her in time.
Athrun stumbles on his back, he looks down at Cagalli. She passed out.
Athrun looked up the building, what cause her to jump.
Athrun carried her bridal style to the Nurse Room.
Miss Aisha, heard footstep in her office, look at the door. There she saw Athrun carried Cagalli, she get up from her seating and rush toward them.
"What happened to her?" Asked Miss Aisha in a worried while instructed Athrun to put Cagalli one of the available beds.
He obeys her, and carefully put her on the bed. Athrun runs his fingers through his blue silky hair, he honestly don't know what to tell the nurse, but Cagalli does need help, right? There are a lot things play in his mind.
"Athrun!"
Athrun snaps from his own thought, he closes his eye and took a deep breath before he start opening his mouth, "She jump off the building. Before you went ballistic, I honestly did not know anything about her anymore, it's like she is not the Cagalli that I had known, she changes, but I don't know why." Said Athrun while looking at sleeping Cagalli. She sweats a lot, that's odd.
Miss Aisha, took Cagalli temperature. Then she walked toward Athrun, she pats his shoulder and smile at him, "I'm sure you will solve anything that had been bothering her, but for now she is sleeping not passed out." With that, Miss Aisha walked to her table to write something.
"May I stay here?" Asked Athrun while took a seat beside her bed, he gets hold on her hand, and pressed his lip on top on it.
"Sure, Athrun-kun."
"What had bothered you, princess? I missed old of you. Please come back to me." Whisper Athrun into her ear.
Cagalli in a very dark room, she restless where is she at. Then she heard Athrun voice, saying that he missed her, what does he mean by that. Then she heard footsteps, but she can't see who is it, all she can feel is his breath that near her.
"You will be mine soon, my love."
Cagalli open her eye, she feels a little pain in her head. She tries her best to get up.
"CAGALLI! Let me help you." Said Athrun while gets up from his seat, and give Cagalli hand.
"Where am I?" Asked Cagalli low, last time she remembered that she in the washroom, to wash her hands.
"You in nurse room."
"Why am I here?"
"You really don't remember anything?"
Cagalli try her best to recalled what does she did after went to the washroom, but all she can think of blank. Nothing.
Athrun watch her very carefully, she really doesn't remember it, thought him. So he make his mind to not let her know what does she did.
"You stumbled, then your head had a huge impact, then you passed out." Said Athrun while looking into her amber.
Cagalli eye wide, then must be why she did not remember anything, "What time is it?"
Athrun look at his wristwatch "Its 5minutes to 5.30pm. Why?" Curiosity why the blonde more worried about the time, than her own safety.
Cagalli get up from her bed slowly, because her head still in pain, "I need to go now, you don't need to walk me home today. I will be fine by myself." Said Cagalli while walking to the exits without looking at Athrun face.
Athrun went to her, and grab her arm hard so that the blonde will face him, "What's up with you?! These few days you not yourself at all, Cagalli. What happened to you? You know you can tell me if anything that bother you, cause I am here for you. Don't you let me hanging here when I know you not fine." With the last word he said in a low, but his grip even tighter than before.
Cagalli roughly let go of his grip, "When I said I am fine, I MEAN IT, ZALA!" Yelled Cagalli in his face, then walked away from him.
Athrun just stood there in shock, Cagalli never reacted like that to him. He just ruffled his own hair, thinking about his only friend reacted like really made him restless.
Mwu Host Club, Evening.
Mwu enter the kitchen, he tries to find his only niece. He looks around the kitchen, but she was not there, he let long sigh. He really wants her to help him out, since she is here. Then he walked to the head chef, Iwao.
"Iwao, where is my Little Kitty? I thought that she was here to grab dinner."
"She was here a while ago, then she said that she need go to the washroom. I think she in "girl time", if you know what I mean. If not, she will not be in that so cranky or crazy type, maybe that is why Athrun was not here with her." Replied Iwao, who's still stirring his chicken soup.
Mwu just waved her hand as thanks and walk into the ladies. He knocks the door, "Little Kitty, are you in there?" Mwu waited for a reply, but it all silence. He closer his ear to the door, she heard something, then he pushes the door to enter. Inside the ladies his eyes wide open in shock.
He saw his only niece, try to cut herself using razor blade that was ready to cut her important nerves in her wrist. He went closer to his niece, call out her name softly, "Little Kitty, what are you doing with that razor blade dear? It's really sharp dear, please put it down, and we can talk over. I promise you that I will piece of my mind whoever hurting you dear, because I am here for you dear. Please don't do stupid thing, I will be sad dear, if you have gone. You know that I love you, right?" Said Mwu in low, her eyes full of tears that fight to let go, but he doesn't want to let the tears go just yet.
Cagalli face him, she had been crying. Her eyes fill with sadness, her uncle never sees her in that condition, except when his brother dies, but after that she overcomes the sadness and back to her happy life.
"Uncle, I can't help myself. I don't know what happened to me, please help me. I beg you." Replied Cagalli in full of sadness, then she passed out.
Her uncle rushes toward her, shook her body, then carry her into the staff room.
He flips open his blue phone to call the one person that's willing to help her out. He dials his number.
Zala Mansion, Evening.
Athrun in his living room, loosen his tie with his right hand, he slammed her body on the red sofa. He rested his head on the back of the sofa. He closes his eye, to think why his only friend does react as that way. The hard he had been thinking the more unanswered question he gets.
Then he felt a vibration in his left school pant, he doesn't bother to look at the caller ID, he just flips open and place it on his right ear.
"Hello," greet him on the other line, he really hope that is not his father, because he honestly not in the mood to discuss about business right now.
"Athrun, is me Mwu. I really need your help, please come here, Cagalli, she…. She…." Statured Mwu, he sounds like a person who's just lost his wife during labor.
Athrun open his eyes, "What happened to her!"
"I don't know, she tries to kill herself, I don't know what happened between you two but her not herself. She didn't react like she used to be. Please come over and I really need your help."
"I will be there in 10. Please keep an eye on Cagalli." With that Athrun cut his line.
He really wants to help Cagalli, but how. He thinks hard before act, that's what his father taught him. You can help people, but first you need to know what type help that you can give, know the why and how, then off you go.
He close eye, and think hard. Then suddenly he remembers a ghost story that Cagalli had told him many years ago, is about a person who die without his will. He spirit full of range, that he promised that he will not be in peace and will harm the living people. Then he remembered that he had told her that the castle that they went few days ago, that the knight spirit still in that castle, but how come. She never once investigated the spirit, since she is by his side all times. He doesn't have time to solve that mystery yet, he need ask people whose are capable handle spirit thing. He flips open his phone and dial his number. He never once thought that he will ask a help from that guy ever, but Cagalli life on line here. He need put his ego aside.
Mwu Host Club, Evening.
Athrun is waiting patiently in front of the Cagalli uncle Host Club. All the time he waited, a bunch of ladies asked him to be their companion. He just ignores them, and continue waiting them to arrive.
"I never know that "The Greatest Zala", will be stepping in these flirting neighborhoods. But again, maybe you should be here, to increase your "manhood", last time I heard that you have a problem with the ladies, is not that bad to know girls by using them to be your experiments." Said a very arrogant the one and only "DeRay" Za Burrel with that smirked on his face.
Athrun just rolled his eyes.
"So Zala, why you called all of us to come here anyway? If you must know I really busy guy, just spill it, since I own to that little girl, by the way where she is." Asked Ray while close his gap with Athrun.
"That is why I called all of you here. She need your help, since you know about spiritual stuff while I not really into it. I can't save her, but you all can…" but before Athrun can continue, he had been cut by screaming of a girl.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH…. Look at the top of the building, there got a girl trying to jump off from the building." Said a lady in her late twenties while pointing up to the building.
Athrun whose feels something was not right, run to the lady, and turn his body to look with his own jade eyes. His jaw dropped, his eyes wide open with surprise, and then he runs to the entry of the Mwu Host Club while yelling at the people that he had contact for their help, "Follow me, then you all will understand why. Just hurry, if not we will lose her."
The all four people obey him, and run from behind him.
They all climb the stairs to the 8th floor, Athrun push the door open by kick it hard then he saw Cagalli ready to jump.
"Cagalli don't you dare do something stupid! I need you, you my only loyal, faithful and trusted friend, don't YOU DARE LEAVE ME HANGING HERE!" Yelled Athrun at Cagalli.
He tried to approach her, but Lacus the medium stops him to do so, "She has been possessed by a guy. He was living in early 50's, but late 60's. That guy wants her to die, you can't stop him by talking nicely to Cagalli because he is in control of Cagalli body. In simple he is in charge. Kira needs to ride the guy away from her, but it is temporary. We still need to figure out, what he really wants and why does he choose Cagalli. Kira can you do it, without hurting Cagalli?" Asked Lacus at her husband.
Kira look at Cagalli then he faces Lacus, "I can. All please stay back." Said Kira while went closer to Cagalli so that he can chatter to rid the spirit away from her.
Kira chatter holy words, after a while a spirit fly off her body. Before Cagalli stumble on her knee, Athrun catches her and carry her bridal style. He walks to the exits and asked all of them to follow him.
Inside Staff Room, Evening.
Cagalli sleeping on the bed, while everyone in the room trying to figure out what really happened to Cagalli before the spirit come back inside her body and claim her life. Which Lacus believe that, after him back there, nothing can help her.
"So Zala, what really happened to her? How this can possibly happen? For how long she liked this?" Asked Ray while eyeing him.
Athrun sits beside Cagalli, while holding her hand, Ray went closer to him and get hold of his shoulder, "You know, if you stared her like that, there nothing can save her. Her life on line here, we need to move our ass fast here. Later, when we save her, you can stare at her for how long is my guess, but now it's not the right time. Talks to us, so that we can save her."
Athrun let go of his hold and went closer to her face and kiss on her forehead, then he went to the group of supernormal team.
Athrun took his seat beside Kira, "It's all started a day after I bought her to the old abandoned castle on Stone King Street. She complete not herself, her appetites off, she hasn't talked as much she used to be, and she not that cheerful." Said Athrun while playing his hands on his lap.
Ray heard his story, typing something on his laptop, there something capture his attention, then he turns his laptop over so that they all can see what he finds that capture his interest.
Everyone in the room in shock, "No way. The princess and Cagalli looked alike. From her blonde hair, amber eye, height, overall everything that the princess represents Cagalli. No wonder he so obsessed with Cagalli, he wants Cagalli to be with him, since he is the knight that been assisted to protect her, then after a while they both fall in love. But because of their status gap he head was cut off by the king, while the princess kills herself. But the knight did not know about that, perhaps his spirit was not at peace. We need move fast, to save Cagalli life, because he seriously will come back. Love something can make a spirit do outrageous, that we can't stop him. " Said Lacus in worried.
Cagalli who already woke up, slowly sat down, "It same as my dream that I had been dreamed off during past five days." Said Cagalli in low, she really not have the energy.
Everyone in the room looked at her direction, Athrun who is first get out from his siting and went to her. He took a seat on the edge of her bed touches her forehead to check her temperature. Her temperature was fine, but she sweats a lot.
Ray looked at her, "What you mean by you had been dreaming about them?"
"Well I dreamed about that they deeply in love and he dies. All the blood…" Cagalli start to shiver when she's flashback her dreamed. All the bloody terrified her. Athrun hugs her and smooth her back, to let know that he is here and not one can hurt her anymore.
"Do you know that the princess look much alike you?" Asked Ray, while typing something on his laptop.
Cagalli just shook her head, "No, because her face had been blurred from my vision."
"What else you remember, perhaps without your conscious that he said something to you?" Asked Ray again.
Cagalli try to think then she said, "Yes, he keeps on saying "you will be mine soon" and also "no one can steal you from me again".
Athrun heard what Cagalli had said, clutch his fist.
Ray stops his typing on his laptop, and look at Cagalli, "You need go to that castle back. There is not option for you to say no, little girl. Everyone we will be moving in 10." With that Ray walk out of the room with Luna by his side.
Cagalli watch Athrun clutches his teeth, she knows that he doesn't want her to go back, but that only the way to let the spirit of peace. Cagalli get hold his hand and squeezes it, "You know Athrun, I will be fine as long you were there with me. Even my uncle trusts my life in you, right?"
Athrun for the first time smile at his princess, he leans his forehead against her, I really missed you Cagalli." Said Athrun while closing his eyes.
Cagalli chuckled at his behaviour, "So you not missed all your fan girls as much you missed is that so, my majestic? Now what will they said if they hear you, that you missed me better than them?"
Athrun open his eyes and stared into her amber, "We better get going."
"Can I first go see my uncle? I know that he worries about me."
Athrun nodded at her, "I will wait you at outside." With that Athrun made his leave.
Cagalli went to her uncle's office, she knocks the door. She waits until she heard her uncle said come in. Since Mwu can't bear to see his only niece in that sorrow state, he buried himself in his office. He thinks that he is not a very responsible uncle to his only niece.
Cagalli slowly open the door and step in, "Uncle."
Mwu look up to meet his niece, he smile, but his cheeks still wet with tears. Cagalli run to him and hug him, "I'm really sorry that I worried you, I did not what happened at me, but now we will go and solve. So don't worry, I will be your Little Kitty after all this over."
Mwu sniffed her lemon scent, he closes his eyes, "Little Kitty, I will always worry about you, because you half of my soul, dear. Just please be safe dear, I will be here for you, and dear I will hurt twice whoever hurting you. You my precious." Said Mwu push her a bit and stared into her amber. Cagalli smile at him and whisper, "I will be back, I promise."
Stone King Street, Evening.
Six of them enter the castle, it is quiet. Ray switch on the lights, he set all his gears for his future references. While Ray set up his gears, the lights slowly became dim and then completely dark. But then they all see a light of spirit, he flies randomly. He really mad, at what Kira had done to him earlier. He wants to teach Kira a lesson, but Cagalli block him to do so. The light spirit stops, because he doesn't want to hurt the girl look alike his first love. He stops flying and put his feet on the ground. He takes a back of his step, while Cagalli near him, Athrun grab her hand. Cagalli turn to him, and smile at him to assure that she knows what to do and she will be just fine. Athrun let his grip go and watch her.
Before she take a step further she turn face Lacus, "I think I can hear him, so I guess you don't need to be my translated like you did back at Nicol aunt cased."
Lacus smile at her and nodded, mean that she understand.
Cagalli slowly walk to him direction, even without lights, she still can see him since he covers with white light all over his body.
"You know we did not introduce ourselves at each other. I'm Cagalli Yula Athha, I in the first year of high school student. May I know who are you and why you do that kind of thing at me?" Asked Cagalli infirm.
The spirit look at her, then he has that sad smile on his face, "I'm James Koshisky, I 25years or it looked to be. You looked much alike Ayumi. I really love her with all my heart, she is half of my life. I willing to scarify myself for her, but just because my status is not same as her, the King punished me. Is that sound fair to you!"
"It's also not fair, if you are taking my life, since I am not Ayumi. You take me from the people that will miss me when I gone and not ready to die just yet, because there so many things I wanted to do in my life. To be loved and love with someone just like you did. I'm sure that Ayumi waited you for a very long time at up there. You can meet her again, as I remember she did say that if you both can't be together in previous life, maybe you will be together with her in future life. You need to be at peace so that you and Ayumi can recreate."
James on his knee, and crying.
Cagalli went to him and bent down extended her hand, "Do you want to dance with me? Since this will be our last meeting. At least before you go toward the light, you have a chance to dance with someone looked alike Ayumi."
James accepted her offered, then the lights back on. But there are a little different about it, the atmosphere is back to 60's. There is a lot of couple dancing, while on the stage people playing music.
"He really wants to store the last memories before he went to the light. Don't worry, these spirits will never hurt us." Said Lacus.
Athrun watch Cagalli and that spirit dance, he really wishes that he will be her first dance partner, but the spirit had to be her first.
"You really good at dancing, Miss Cagalli." Commented James.
"Well, it's all thanks to my friend over there, he is the one who taught me how to dance." Said Cagalli while pointing to Athrun.
James looked at Cagalli direction, "He looks very nice guy. Do you love him?"
Cagalli face turn to blush, "I don't know to be honest. But lately when I near him I feel something in my stomach. I like his touch, warm and everything about him, but I can't tell him just yet, because he is the future leader of Zaft Corp. While I'm just nobody." Replied Cagalli sad.
James stop his step, and put his thumb to Cagalli chin and bring it up so that he have a clear view of her amber, "Is that what's stopping you to say that you love him? My dear, if you really love him don't let him go of your hold. Brace yourself, there no such thing as status gap, you one fine lady, which I almost want you to be mine."
James went near to her right ear and whisper,"I guess is my time to go. I guess your brown hair friend will help me right? It's really nice to have an honour to dance with you Miss Cagalli. And remember, don't let go of your love." With that James went to Kira to be purity, but before he does he kiss Cagalli forehead.
Kira starts to do his job. Cagalli can't bear to watch him go, she silently cries. Athrun who saw her all by herself run toward her and hug her. Cagalli just buried her head into his strong chest and let go all her tears out. Athrun just smoothes her.
Athrun carries Cagalli on his back on the way home.
"Do you love anyone, Athrun?" Asked Cagalli while buried her head on his back.
Athrun hesitated to answer, "Well, if I do, I will tell her first, I don't want to be coward guy who lets a girl confess their feeling at the guy. It's so not cool."
Cagalli slap his back softly, "That is not an answer, and you try to avoid the question. But don't all your fan girls tell you their confession every single day at you. So that mean you really uncool guy after all." Laugh Cagalli while saying those words at Athrun.
"I guess I am, but if I really do love a girl I want to be the one to say that three simple words at her, because she really special."
"That girl is lucky to have you, but I hope our friendship will be staying even you in relationship." Said Cagalli then drifted into good slumber on Athrun back.
Athrun watched her sleep through his shoulder, then he murmurs, "Our friendship will be much closer, princess because you the lucky girl that I fall in love with."
Athrun continues walking with Cagalli on his back, under the bright stars.
