"Dawn, why in the world are we driving over there." Misty inquired, noticing yet another luggage the blue head had popped out of nowhere. Dawn struggled getting the luggage in the trunk until Paul came to help.

"Oh Misty, because babies cause a huge disturbance on a plane. I don't want to be the victim of glares and insults! It'll set me off into a fit of rage."

Misty almost protested before deciding that, yes, Dawn would have probably gone off and cause an even bigger dilemma. Ash heaved a sigh.

"Guys, you're either assholes or bitches. Why am I the one who has to take care of Melanie?" Dawn who looked appalled, nudged Misty,

"Ash can't be using such foul language in front of Mel! And he clearly just insulted you!" Paul closed the trunk and went to the drivers seat.

"Well Ash, who's the dumbass who said he'd take care of Melanie until all the packing was done."

Misty burst into fit of laughter seeing her boyfriends face.

"He has a point Ash, you did offer to take care of her until the packing was done."

"Ugh! Whatever, can we go now? I'd like some sleep. Melanie has finally calmed down." Dawn agreed and went inside the passenger seat. Misty got in the car.

"She's so cute." Dawn huffed,

"When she's asleep."

"Drew, I'm serious. Let's call Dawn and see if Melanie is alright." Drew groaned, rolling out of bed and snatching his phone.

"May, it's too early to be worrying."

"It's already nine." She informed, making sure to hide her smile.

"It was your idea to stay up watching romantic comedies. God, they were awful." May stuck her tongue out. Drew dialed Dawn.

"Hey, hey~'"Dawn sing-songed, Drew cringed at her abnormally loud voice.

"Keep your voice down."

Dawn giggled, "I'm guessing you just woke up. Poor you! Anyways, what's up?"

Drew tossed the phone to May, wanting no further discussion. May caught it in time and sent a glare his way. Though Drew was long curled in the blanket, asleep.

"Dawn? How's Melanie? Is she alright?"

"Mel is fine! Geez, don't worry about it! I'm the greatest babysitter you can find."

"Dawn...you know that's a lie. I'd trust Paul over you when it comes to taking care of something. That itself should make a statement."

"May! Ugh! You're so mean! We have a surprise!"

May gulped, Dawn had another crazy surprise? This was bound to be bad.

"Who is we exactly?" She could hear the blue head scoff, "The whole gang!"

"Right…"

"I have to go May! Talk to you later ok!"

Three loud knocks resounded. Drew shifted in his sleep. He hoped those knocks were a dream. Three more knocks, followed by his name came this time. He cursed. He noticed May was nowhere to be seen. Again, three loud knocks followed by a:

"If you don't accept my courtesy I will slam the door open Drew!"

He knew that voice oh so well. Dawn. His worst nightmare (at the moment). He struggled out of bed and went to creak the door open.

"Why in the world are you here. Don't you dare use your loud voice. I'll slam this door shut." Dawn scowled before motioning someone to come. Ash appeared, holding Melanie.

"Surprise!" Drew's initial anger dissolved in a flash. He smiled, taking hold of his daughter.

"Hey there Melanie," both Ash and Dawn looked at one another and then at Drew.

"Why are you so nice?" Ash began, "I get she's your daughter, but look at that smile! You always show us your snarky one!" Dawn nodded in agreement.

"Not to mention that you only show that smile to May and Melanie! What's with that? That breaks my heart! And how long have we known each other?" Drew cradled Melanie, he glanced at Dawn.

"Honestly, only four."

"I knew you in middle school!" Drew smirked,

"That doesn't count. I didn't speak to you till high school."

"What about college!"

"I didn't attend the college you did. So, I only spoke to you when we all hung out."

"Ugh, um, then...Ash help me!"

"He has a point…" Drew chuckled,

"To be honest, I've know Ash longer than you Dawn. We were eighth grade buddies." Ash nodded. Dawn flared.

"Well Paul and I go way back to middle school! I've know Ash since highschool, including college because we attended the same one!" Drew almost countered, but May popped in.

"Drew! You're finally awake. What's up Dawn? You look ready to kill." Drew's eyes sparked,

"Hey May," May turned to him in question.

"How long have I known you?" He asked, noting that Dawn was gaping.

"Since the fifth grade. Why?"

"Oh my gosh! Seriously!? May you never told me that!"

"I didn't?"

"No! Aren't I your best friend!?"

"Dawn...I thought I told you I can't label anyone my best friend. You're all my close friends." Dawn threw her hands up in defeat.

"Whatever. Ok, so I've only met May during ninth grade. Big deal. You all can just...just…ugh!" The trio watched as Dawn stomped away. Ash sighed, "She's going to complain to Paul. Well, I'll see you later!"

"I'm guessing Melanie was a pain?" May laughed, "Yeah, Paul said Dawn nearly attacked him."

"Sounds like she'd do that."

"But I'm happy she's here." Drew hummed in agreement and cooed at his daughter. It wasn't a long vacation, but it didn't matter. Having his family was what mattered. He wouldn't have it any other way.
