"She asked me to sell her goods. I said yes, of course. Who could deny such a beautiful woman? I wasn't actually going to sell them, but Jinta or Ururu must have accidently grabbed them and sold them to you two," Kisuke sighed, motioning to Hitsugaya and Matsumoto.
"That's where the defective gigai came from!" Matsumoto connected, "but why attack us? That doesn't make sense."
"You couldn't get away with the goods. The Soul Society can't know about them."
The oldest was speaking for the group, suddenly free with the information. Gibbs was curious now, not that he wasn't before, but this was a curious move. Taro did what was best for the brothers, no matter what it was. Their employer might be paying well, but to the oldest apparently had a different agenda.
"Taro!"
"What if we set you up in witness protection, a provided home and allowance to live."
This got Taro's attention. Taro was trained to survive, to protect his brothers at all costs. He just wanted a good life for his brothers. He only got them into illegal work with the lady because she paid well. Of course these agents couldn't pay as well, but they'd have a safe, secure, living. He could possibly send his brothers to school, and as for himself get a decent job.
"How could you even consider this!" growled the middle brother, "she's been nothing but good to us!"
Taro narrowed his eyes at his brother, "By doing illegal, dangerous work."
"You're considering t-this?" the youngest questioned.
"They can't get away with doing illegal work," Hitsugaya said, and Matsumoto shook her head in agreement.
"What if we gave away everything we knew about our employer?"
Hitsugaya and Matsumoto knew how important getting the actual dealer was, but they'd have to check with the Seireitei about the deal, especially if the boys were going to take a deal in the world of the living.
"How could you?" Screeched the middle brother, "she took care of us!"
"By sending us to do her dirty work? Sure she paid well, but this way we'll be able to live. We can live the lives we deserved to have."
Both Hitsugaya and Matsumoto knew that the boys could only live in this world under strict circumstances, but getting the main black market supplier would be a huge success. If asked, Hitsugaya would allow a deal between the three boys and NCIS. If there were unforeseen circumstances after the fact, then of course Toshiro would deal with them.
"Lives we deserved to have? Yeah right. She is our life now!"
"She's doing illegal work, black market work. It's harmful to soul reapers and the souls themselves." Matsumoto weighed in.
"Please," the youngest brother tugged at his brothers shirt, the middle brother sighed. He wasn't happy. He loved their employer. She was perfect, but his brothers wanted this deal more than anything.
"Fine. We'll take the deal."
"Great!" Kisuke Urahara exclaimed, "Now, lets hear about our beautiful lady friend?" He was curious alright. This woman had an impressive spiritual presence, powerful, formidable. Someone like her should've been spotted by now, either taken out or recruited.
The whole room was silent, waiting for one of the three brothers to speak. Hitsugaya and Matsumoto weren't sure what to expect of the black market dealer, they were hoping with the information they'd be able to leave and take care of it, easy. Yet, even her three thugs were difficult and a puzzle in and of itself.
"She's quiet most the time. She likes the darkness." Nao, the youngest brother started, "She likes caves and the rain. She's got a sword, like the oranged haired lady here."
"A zanpakuto?"
"Yeah, I think that's what she called it. It was fancy, she rarely showed it. It looked black, but I think it had a silver design." Nao could care less for the sword's owner, but he in fact was infatuated with the weapon. His brother carried a sword, but not one as beautiful as the zanpakuto as their employer.
"Sure the sword is interesting, but can we fast forward to your employer who must not be named?" DiNozzo thought it was strange that their elusive employer didn't go by name, she was either their employer or the lady. Either gave no clues as to who the woman was, only that she in fact was a woman.
"She never goes by name, but occasionally there are other men in her caves. Not for pleasure, but for work. They sometimes call her Rain because she loves it so much. The only thing she loves more than rain is darkness. I guess calling her Darkness would be silly, not that Rain is any better." That's all Taro knew, and not even his brothers knew that.
"Why is she so obsessed rain?" McGee asked.
"No idea. She just is."
"What's her role in the black market?"
Taro narrowed his eyes at the white haired captain, still not fully trusting him, "She essentially leads everything. She controls what goods go in and out and what to manufacture and sell. It's a twisted business. The gigais, in particular, were a new trial good. Supposedly they were going to go to spirits who wanted to live again, it would restrict certain activities and spiritual pressure. Obviously they aren't perfect, they're still in a trial period."
"Obviously."
"Wait, you said caves?"
Taro nodded, that's always where their base was. Some cave in the Soul Society tucked away or on rare occasions even in the world of the living.
"Care to share with the group?" DiNozzo said curtly.
Taro sighed and proceeded to 'tell the group' what he knew.
Before anyone could ask another question the youngest brother was fast asleep, a loud thud interrupted the room as his head had dropped onto the conference table. McGee glanced at the clock and was in slight shock it had gotten so late.
Gibbs called in officers to take the three boys to holding cells, they'd have to spend the night in one before Gibb's could set up safe homes for them.
"Alright, Matsumoto and Karin go with Abby tonight. Toshiro goes with DiNozzo, and Ichigo with McGee."
"What about me, Gibbs-senpai~? Gibbs noticeably flinched at the title, he knew this Kisuke Urahara wasn't being serious, and that just made it worse. "You're with me tonight."
"Oh~ Gibbs-senpai! This should be fun!"
Gibbs was already regretting this decision. He should've just let him share a holding cell with that Taro kid.
His brothers were asleep when the moth flew in. It was dark, decorated with silver designs, and with it came the smell of rain. The moth worked much like a hell butterfly, it could be used to communicate.
"They betrayed us. Taro told them everything!"
The employer spoke back, "Oh, dear. We'll just have to fix this problem. Where are you now?"
