Thursday First Date
Riding in the back of her blacked out Range Rover Dani nervously watched out the windows as they neared Santana's apartment. Dani was wearing simple black leggings with a loose white blouse and a brown leather jacket, with her favorite brown heeled boots. Dani had texted Santana the day before telling her to dress casual so Dani made sure to do the same. Dani had nice simple romantic date planned out for Santana and her, she wanted everything to be perfect. It would being going even better if Dani's nerves would just take a break and stop making her sweat like she'd just ran five miles.
Finally pulling up outside of Santana's apartments where fans and paparazzi had finally evacuated Dani climbed out of the Range Rover.
"Hello Carl" Dani greeted to Santana's doorman as he held the door open for her.
"Good evening Miss Torrez" Carl greeted bowing his head.
Smiling Dani stepped inside the building "Please call me Dani" she said winking at the older man before heading to the elevator and going to Santana's floor.
Standing outside Santana's door Dani took a deep breath to help calm her nerves before knocking on the door.
Seconds later Santana opened the door with a large smile "Hey" she greeted softly. Santana was wearing tight black skinny jeans with a loose low cleavage black blouse that had sparking beads on it, with black pumps.
"Hi, you look amazing by the way" Dani smiled back admiring the amount of Santana's chest that was currently on view.
Smiling Santana opened her door wider as she stepped back grabbing her clutch, phone, and keys off the table "You aren't looking so bad yourself Torrez". Stepping into the hallway Santana shut the apartment door and locked it.
"I like seeing you in heels" Dani admired even though it made the woman even taller than her then she already was "They make your legs and ass look amazing".
Laughing Santana followed Dani into the elevator "Well I can certainly say that no one has ever told me how good my ass looks on the first date" she said teasingly.
Dani just shrugged turning to face the older woman so she could wrap her arms around her neck "Well I've never kissed a girl before the first date even started, so there's always a first for everything" she said softly pulling Santana down into a soft kiss.
"Mmm, I guess there is" Santana said against Dani's lips pulling away right as the doors opened.
Intertwining their hands Dani led Santana outside "Have a good night ladies" Carl said nodding his head towards the two.
"Thanks Carl, have a good night" Santana said following Dani into the blacked out Range Rover.
"So are you going to tell me where were going now?" Santana asked once the car was moving.
Dani just smiled shaking her head "That'd ruin the surprise".
Santana playfully glared at the younger girl "You know as a doctor I hate surprises, but I guess in my personal life I can make a couple exceptions".
Dani just laughed "Good because I wasn't going to tell you anyways".
"Rude" Santana said smiling.
Minutes later the car pulled up in front of a pizzeria that looked strangely empty.
"So this is the big surprise?" Santana asked getting out of the car.
"Yeah I guess it is" Dani said taking her hand and taking her inside, where it was completely empty except for a women standing at the podium.
"Mr. Linguini has your table set up for you at a back table, just like you requested Ms. Torrez" the woman said grabbing two menus and leading them to a table in the far back, nearest to the arcade.
Looking around Santana noticed the emptiness of the restaurant "This place is deserted, where is everyone?" Santana asked once the waitress left, not wanting to offend her.
Dani smiled sitting down across from Santana at the table "Mr. Linguini is a close friend of mine, I asked him if I could rent out the whole restaurant for the night and he happily agreed.
Santana's eyes widened "What are you serious? Isn't he going to be losing a lot of money by doing that?"
Dani shook her head still smiling "I paid him what he normally makes on a Thursday night, plus a little extra".
"You did this all for a first date?" Santana asked smiling.
Dani just shrugged "I wanted to make an impression, one where I knew the paparazzi or fans couldn't bother us. What do you want for dinner? They have the most amazing calzone's here".
"Distracting me with food, always a good choice Torrez. I don't know I was thinking about the personal lasagna dinner" Santana exclaimed.
Dani laughed "Well I'm glad it worked. The lasagna is amazing, I think I'll do the same thing. Do you want to share a basket of cheese bread sticks?"
"Those sound delicious I would love to" Santana said smiling.
Waving the waitress over Dani and Santana ordered their food, afterwards deciding to check out the arcade games.
"What first Miss Lopez?" Dani asked with a grin handing Santana a hand full of quarters.
Santana smirked "How about Wack-A-Mole? But I have to warn you Torrez I'm extremely competitive and hate losing".
"Okay lets wack some moles then. Is that so? Well I'll have you know I'm pretty competitive as well, and despise losing, unless it's to Izzy. So don't expect me to go easy on you Lopez" Dani said smirking at the older woman.
Santana smirked "I wouldn't have it any other way Torrez".
For the next thirty minutes the two girls went between games of Wack-A-Mole and Ski ball. Santana winning best two out of three in Wack-A-Mole and Dani winning best three out of five in Ski ball. Neither girl liked losing and would pull a massive pouty face making the other kiss it away. Neither Santana nor Dani had, had that much fun in a very long time.
Sitting down at their table the two girls enjoyed their dinner making light conversation.
They were just sitting there drinking their win when Santana finally gathered the courage to bring up what she'd been wanting to talk about for weeks now.
"Hey D, I've got a question for you" Santana said slightly avoiding eye contact.
Dani smiled "Okay go ahead".
"I umm, I've been wanting to ask this for a while now. I really like you Dani, and I want to continue to get to know you. Will you be my girlfriend" Santana asked.
Even though Dani had a huge smile on her face she also had a look of shock "I was going to ask you that" Dani said with a small laugh.
Santana laughed nervously "I didn't realize that" she replied running her hand through her hair "You didn't answer my question".
Dani smiled reaching across the table to intertwine their hands "I would love to be your girlfriend Santana".
Santana smiled releasing a breath she had been holding "You had me scared for a minute D".
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you, I was just shocked that you had asked, I was planning on asking you to be my girlfriend tonight" Dani replied with a smile.
"How about I make it up to you. Next week I'm having dinner with all my friends from home at Rachel and Finn's house, how would you like to be my plus one?" Santana asked. "I'm pretty sure they'll share embarrassing stories about me and everything, perfect opportunity for you to get all kinds of dirt on me".
Laughing Dani nodded her head "I would love to San. But I really hope that I don't have to wait until Saturday to see my brand new girlfriend".
Santana smiled "Well I may be able to take a longer lunch tomorrow, how about lunch in my office?"
"That sounds perfect" Dani said smiling "I'll pick something up on my way".
"Awesome. So how about we go back to the arcade, so I can challenge you to another game of Wack-A-Mole?" Santana asked standing up and holding her hand out to Dani.
"You can challenge me all you want Lopez but you aren't going to win" Dani said smirking, as she took Santana's hand and stood up.
"We'll see about that Torrez" Santana said "But first I really need to give my new girlfriend a kiss".
"Mmm well I can say with one hundred percent guarantee that your new girlfriend would really like that" Dani replied smiling.
Smiling Santana leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to Dani's lips.
