One Week Later
Pulling up behind Dani's apartment building in her grey Range Rover Santana waved at Dani's bodyguard Max as Dani climbed into the car.
"See you later Max" Santana said as Dani shut the door, pulling away.
"Okay, now I really am nervous" Dani said as Santana pulled out on the busy street of New York.
"There's nothing for you to be nervous about baby, they're all really excited to meet you. Besides you've already met Rachel and Quinn" Santana said reaching over to grab Dani's hand.
"That was for like two seconds, and we weren't official then. I'm meeting my girlfriend's best friends, I have to get them to like me" Dani said dramatically.
"Baby, they already like you. First of all they all love your music and are huge fans. And second of all you get me out of my apartment and out of the hospital, they've been trying to do that for years. Plus you make me happy and that's all they care about" Santana explained softly.
Taking a deep breath Dani nods her head "Okay, your right, I can do this" she said quietly.
"Everything will go great babe, besides I know Britt is super excited to meet you. She's like a huge fan, and I think she's hoping to become one of your dancers for your next tour" Santana explained.
"Well I'm a huge fan of her dancing, and I would love to have her on my next tour, whenever that may be. I haven't even started recording for my next album yet. Right now I'm just enjoying my time with you and my family" Dani said smiling.
Santana smiled squeezing her girlfriends hand "Good because I'm enjoying my time with you to. We should do something with Izzy soon, she's healing really well, and I miss seeing her on a regular basis, even though I'm glad she's no longer doing the chemo".
"That sounds like a great idea San" Dani says smiling.
Pulling up in front of Rachel and Finn's house Santana meets Dani on the other side of the car, once again intertwining their hands.
"Come on, let's go meet the crazies I was forced to grow up with" Santana says leading Dani up the steps.
Rolling her eyes Dani follows her girlfriend up the steps, they make it to the last step right when the door fly's open and a brunette women is standing there with a massive smile on her face, Dani recognizes her as Rachel.
"It's about time you two made it, everyone else got here like twenty minutes ago" Rachel said trying to sound annoyed but the smile on her face completely ruined it.
Rolling her eyes Santana shook her head "Calm down Yentel, me made it didn't we?"
Shaking her head Rachel steps aside letting Santana and Dani into the house "Come on, everyone's waiting. It's so good to see you again Dani".
Smiling Dani says "It's nice to see you again as well Rachel, thank you for having me".
"Please it's my pleasure Dani, you're the reason Santana actually gets out of her apartment and the hospital, if course were excited to have you here" Rachel said smiling widely as she led the two woman into the living room.
Santana squeezed Dani's hand causing Dani to look at her, Santana gave her a knowing smile, causing Dani to roll her eyes and shake her head at her girlfriend.
"Look who finally decided to show up" Rachel announced to the room filled with people.
"Oh come on Yentel, you try driving across the city in this traffic" Santana huffed.
"Nice to see you're still a massive bitch Santana" Mercedes said stepping towards Santana and Dani.
Santana's eyes widened in excitement as she quickly rushed at her friend tightly hugging her "Mercedes what are you doing here, I thought you were stuck in L.A.?"
Mercedes laughed hugging the Latina back "I managed to pull some strings and got a couple weeks' vacation" Mercedes explained as she pulled out of the hug her eyes finding Dani standing behind Santana, her eyes nervously wondering around the room "Besides I had to see for myself that your truly dating the Dani Torrez" Stepping in front of Dani Mercedes smiled "It's so nice to meet you, I'm Mercedes Jones, I'm a huge fan of yours".
Dani smiled warmly "Thank you, but I already know who you are. I'm a huge fan of yours, I have all your albums on my IPod".
"Oh my god, are you serious right now?" Mercedes asked shocked.
Dani laughed nodding her head "Of course I'm serious, I'd never lie about something like that, I think you're an amazing artist Mercedes".
"Santana you better not screw this up" Mercedes said pointedly turning on Santana, who sheepishly held her hands up.
"I wasn't planning on it" Santana smiling at Dani as she grabbed her hand pulling her more into the living room, "Come on I have to introduce you to everyone else, beside Britt looks like she's about to burst out of excitement" she said laughing.
"What, I'm excited, I can't help it. You finally have a girlfriend who actually gets you out of your apartment and out of the hospital. It's also a bonus that she's a Grammy winning musician" Brittney said with a large smile as she stepped towards Dani, "I'm Brittney by the way, it's nice to finally meet you".
Dani smiled "It's nice to meet you as well".
"And I'm Quinn" Quinn said smiling and this is my fiancé Noah" Quinn said making introductions.
"But you can call me Puck. And Santana was right your very, very good looking" Puck said with a careless grin, causing Quinn to smack his arm.
"Don't worry about him, he's harmless" Quinn said glaring at her fiancé.
"He better be Q, keep that dog on a leash" Santana said playfully. "Come on I need to introduce you to everyone else" she said grabbing Dani's hand.
Thirty minutes later Dani was leaning against wall talking with Finn, Kurt, Blaine, and Puck, while Santana talked with Rachel, Quinn, Mercedes, and Brittney. Smiling Dani watched her girlfriend interact with her friends.
Santana was laughing and clearly enjoying herself, which made Dani happy. So far Dani was getting along with everyone really well, especially Quinn, Blaine, and Mercedes.
Hearing Santana's familiar laugh Dani's eyes instantly moved back towards Santana who was laughing at something Brittney had said, but what really caught Dani's attention was the fact that Santana's arm was wrapped around Quinn's waist.
Shaking her head Dani focused her attention on the conversation she was currently in. But Dani kept glancing back towards Santana, watching as she and Quinn seemed to be doing way more intimate touching then towards each other than with anyone else.
About twenty minutes later Dani had finally had enough when Quinn reached up and kissed Santana's cheek when Santana brought her another drink. Excusing herself, Dani retreated to the balcony, deeply breathing in the refreshing night air.
She wasn't alone long before Santana joined her on the balcony. Not saying anything Santana rested her arms on the metal bars, her shoulder slightly touching Dani's.
It was a couple minutes before Dani finally asked the question she needed an answer to "What exactly is between you and Quinn? And don't say she's just your best friend, because I can tell there's something more, something deeper. So please be honest with me San and tell me what is between you and Quinn?"
Lowering her head Santana takes a deep breath "Quinn and I have always been best friends, yeah there were times we tried to kill each other but she's my best bitch. It was about a year after Brittney and I broke up that things changed. Quinn and I had met up at our Glee teacher's wedding. We used our fake ID's and got a little too drunk" taking a breath Santana stood up straight and ran her hand through her hair. "We ended up sleeping together. It was a drunken mistake. Neither of us had any romantic feelings for each other. I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, I was just afraid. My past relationships and history isn't exactly the best".
"Neither is mine San, my past is just as or even more colorful. But it doesn't matter, it's all in the past. Thank you for being honest and telling me the truth San" Dani said stepping towards her girlfriend and wrapping her arms around her waist.
"I really am sorry I didn't tell you before we had this dinner" Santana apologized again wrapping her own arms around Dani.
"It's okay, I forgive you" Dani said reaching up to kiss Santana's lips "Come on let's get back inside".
Smiling Santana follows her girlfriend into the house, a frown instantly forming on her face when she hears familiar music and voices singing.
Everyone is sitting around the TV, Rachel had put in some old Glee Club videos and was playing them, and of course right when they walk in it shows Santana performing.
"Hold up I did not agree to this" Santana says moving to grab the remote from Rachel, but Rachel quickly moves it out of her reach.
"No way San, were watching it" Rachel says shaking her head.
"Come on babe, I want to watch you perform, you've told me all about Glee, and how much you loved it. Now I actually want to witness you perform. Please babe" Dani asked sticking her bottom lip out into a pout.
Shaking her head Santana grudgingly plops down onto the couch "Fine, we can watch the stupid videos".
Smiling Dani sits down next to her and kisses her cheek as Rachel presses play.
The first video to start is of Santana performing Me Against the Music, followed by Valerie, which is one of Santana's favorites, and then her performing Toxic with Brittney and Quinn, which was Dani's favorite, she really hoped Santana kept that old cheerleading uniform.
"Wow babe, I didn't know you could sing or dance like that" Dani said shocked and completely amazed at how talented Santana was. "Do you still sing and dance?" she asked curiously.
"Uhhh yeah I do occasionally. But I do it more in the shower than anywhere else" Santana answered. "Sometimes if the gym at the hospital is empty I'll go in there and dance".
"San you're an amazing singer, and dancer, I would love to hear you sing sometime, and watch you dance" Dani said.
"I don't know, my dancing isn't that good anymore. Neither is my singing voice" Santana said.
"Bullshit Santana, I've both heard you sing and watch you dance, and you're still amazing" Quinn said sternly.
Glaring at her best friend Santana reluctantly agreed "Okay, okay".
With everyone laughing Santana sunk back into the couch, pulling Dani closer into her side, as they watched the rest of the video.
