Three Months Later
It's been three months since Callie's death, Santana has managed to move on and keep fighting for her patients. She's doing more and more research, which is taking a lot of her free time, but Dani is refusing to let her completely sink into her work.
Every Wednesday Dani takes Santana lunch, and they eat together in Santana's office, talking about anything and everything, but they mostly talk about Dani's new album that is almost finished. Dani is just putting the finishing touches on a couple of songs. But for the past two weeks she's been filming the music video for her new single "Cool for the Summer".
Which is why today Santana is headed to the set of Dani's music video. Santana promised Dani a nice romantic dinner/date, and that she'd come to the set one day, since Santana had the day off she figured she'd do both things in one day.
Pulling onto the set after arguing with the security guard for twenty minutes that she was indeed who she said she was and that she was on the list to be allowed onto the property, Santana smiled and waved at Dani's best friend/manager Ashley.
"Hey Santana" Ashley greeted when the Latina got out of her car.
"Hi Ashley" Santana greeted back.
"Come on Dani's in her trailer right now having her hair and make-up re-done for the last shoot" Ashley said leading the Latina through the rows of trailers and people running all over the place.
"How's the video coming along?" Santana asked "Dani won't tell me much about it, saying she wants it to be a surprise. She won't even let me listen to the song yet".
Ashley laughed "Yeah she really wants to keep this video and the song secret for you, wants it to be a surprise. But the video's almost done we just need to shoot the last scene today, and then the editing team will put every together, and to-da amazing brand new Dani Torrez music video".
Santana smiled shaking her head as she followed the younger woman into Dani's trailer.
"Hey D look who I found" Ashley said.
Dani was sitting in front of the mirror as the make-up artist worked on her face, looking up into the mirror a large smile instantly formed on Dani's face when she saw Santana standing there with her own large smile on her face.
"San" Dani smiled as she turned around in her chair.
"Hey babe" Santana said slightly breathless. Santana was still getting used to Dani's shoulder length hair, and today it looked even more sexy, because today it was slicked back on top of her head as some strands fell down to frame Dani's face. And it also didn't help that Dani was only wearing a robe, with some ridiculously tall high heels, and from what Santana could tell Dani didn't have much on underneath her robe. Fuck her girlfriend was hot.
Smiling Dani wrapped her arms around Santana's neck, the heels making them the same height "I'm glad you're here San" Dani said softly as she leaned forward to place a small kiss on Santana's lips.
Eyes darkening Santana nodded her head "So am I babe. You should wear heels like this more often, were actually the same height, I don't have to lean down to kiss you anymore" she said jokingly.
Dani lightly smacked Santana's arm as she stepped back, moving to sit in the make-up chair again, she could tell the make-up artist was getting annoyed.
"It's not my fault you're so freakishly tall San" Dani said closing her eyes as the make-up artist worked on her eyes.
"And it's not Santana's fault your a shorty Torrez" Devon said entering the trailer "Hey Santana".
"Devon, Hi, I didn't know you were going to be here" Santana greeted back.
Devon smiled "Dani didn't tell you I'm in the video as well?"
Santana shook her head "No Dani hasn't talked much about the video, wants to keep it a surprise for me".
Flopping down on the couch Devon shook her head laughing "Oh right I forgot about that, she's trying to be all romantic and what not".
"You guys do realize I'm still in the room right?" Dani said from her chair.
"Oh trust me babe I didn't forget you were here, those heels and that robe are making it kind of hard for me to forget" Santana said with a wink into the mirror at Dani who smiled.
Devon groaned "If you two are going to start eye fucking each other through the mirror I'm just gonna head back to my trailer".
"Shut up Devon" Dani said lifting her hand in the air to flip her best friend off, causing Devon to laugh.
Shaking her head Santana took a seat on the couch next to Devon "So anyone want to tell me what's going on in this video yet?"
"Nope" Dani said popping the 'P' dramatically.
Crossing her arms Santana pouted leaning further back into the couch "So mean Danielle" she huffed.
Dani just laughed nodding her head at the make-up artist when she finished and left the trailer, standing up Dani moved to sit on Santana's lap "I'd kiss you, make you feel better but the make-up artist would definitely not be happy about that".
Santana groaned burying her head in Dani's neck breathing in her girlfriend's familiar scent "This sucks, now I can't even kiss you. I expect a lot of kisses when this is all over".
Dani laughed setting her hand on Santana's cheek and making the older woman look up at her "I promise San, you'll get a lot kisses when were done shooting for the day".
But before Santana could reply someone nodded on the trailer door "Ten minutes ladies".
"Duty calls" Dani said smiling as she stood up, Santana following her lead and standing up as well.
"Finally I get to see what's going on" Santana said excited.
Smiling Dani intertwined their hands as she followed Devon and Ashley out of the trailer and into the studio. Santana had never been on a music video shoot set before or anything related to it actually, so she was wide eyed and looking everywhere and at everything.
But her eyes narrowed in confusion when she spotted a bed in the middle of the large room, surrounded by things to make it look like a bedroom.
"Alright, you can sit here with Ashley" Dani said stopping in front of a row of chairs that all had different names on them including Dani's, Ashley's, and Devon's.
Nodding her head Santana took a seat in the one next to Dani's that said Guest, deciding not to question why there was a bed on the set.
"Dani you ready?" the director called out.
Dani smiled winking at Santana "Have fun baby" she said before walking towards the director.
Santana wasn't sure what her girlfriend meant by that but Santana shook it off deciding to lean back in the seat and watch her girlfriend as she talked to the director. After a couple of minutes Dani nodded her head and undid the robe she was wearing, letting it slide off her shoulders and down her arms.
Santana's eyes instantly widened and her jaw dropped open when the robe was finally removed and it was clear as to what Dani was wearing underneath.
